Hey have mild, medium, hot, and extra hot sandwiches and they are perfectly seasoned. Extra hot was nice and spicy but bearable if you like spicy foods. The coleslaw inside the sandwich gives it a nice texture. I recommend asking for extra mayo specialty sauce. It only makes the sandwich better. The regular fries are great... But if you want added flavor get the fire fries!! Delicious fries with the special sauce and coleslaw over them. You can make the as spicy as you would like also. I was really excited when I saw this place (it has a fun vibe to it), but unfortunately was underwhelmed by the whole experience. I ordered their sway fries that are typically fries, slawvacado, chicken, and their PHC sauce. When my order came out, the portion was decent and the chicken was cooked well, but the slaw was dry and there was no added sauce. When I went up to ask about getting extra sauce, they said they were completely out (and didn't let me know prior to ordering). They sent me to two other establishments where I had to pay for a side of ranch to level out the dryness. I went to their indoor location in American Eats Co. Decided to give them a chance. Their breaded chicken filets are all piled into a fryer basket suspended over a fryer. Dont know if they're prepared ahead of time but i would have liked mine dipped/made to order. The chicken didnt come out dry but it came out stringy. I asked the guy what sauce i should get since i like spicy but i want it to have flavor and he told me MILD. I laughed and said but i like it spicy so he gave me regular Hot. Im going to get real yelpy on this , Ive been trying to catch this truck at its random locations , and today i was highly motivated to do so . Found it behind the circle k on grant & i10 at the convention center , nice little food truck great staff oh the staff was great so helpful so kind so full of joy made me happy to see that they cook with pride . Okay so the food let me get this off with im sitting on my sofa barely able to move im so full and satisfied i want to go to sleep wake up @6 and go to their 2nd location of the day ! Chicken was cooked perfectly , juicy KriSpy at corners oh man im getting hungry just yelping this , i ordered medium on the spice and it was on point with a kick but not a kick to where you were sucking your teeth looking for milk ! I lucked out since I arrived ten minutes before the food truck pulled in at Casa Video. As the food truck opened up, twenty people were already in line behind me. The hype is real! When I took a bite of the chicken sandwich the flavor was unlike anything I have ever tasted. I could taste the garlic, paprika, and cayenne pepper with a hint of tangy lime. The inside of the chicken was moist, but the chicken's true finesse comes from its crispy skin. Overall, the sandwich's greatness comes from its excellent texture duality and complex flavor combination. Make sure you get a side of fire fries when you come here! Heard all about the hype during the chicken sandwich craze of 2019, and I've FINALLY tracked down the truck and tried Pop's infamous chicken sandwich. It hits different. He uses the thigh with the skin on, so it's crispier and juicier. I'd be interested to try the sandwich with a chicken breast someday, if they ever offer it. I got the mild spice because of my low spice-tolerance, so it didn't have a lot of the flavors I was expecting from a southwest spice blend, but the Slawvocado, lime, and housemade pickles add a nice touch and really stand out. You get a big hefty portion of meat on the bun, so come hungry, and don't sleep on the fries. I'm sure the fire fries are amazing, but I just wanted to try the regular fries this time, and they're some of the best. Fresh out of the fryer with the skins left on, they're a perfect complement to the sandwich. It was a rainy night out, so the line was short and I was one of the first to get my order. Time it right, though, because they have to start up the fryers if you're there right when they pull up. It was worth the wait and worth the 5 stars, though. This is something really different for Tucson! My hubby and I loved the Louisiana hot chicken sandwich, which was so much chicken that it was coming out of the bun. I love tasting some bunless chicken. The heat was perfect. The slawvacado really made the sandwich and the fries, we had it on both! I consider myself a regular of this food truck. . I would estimate about twice a month since July? It's the best food truck in Tucson currently. Expect devout followers who arrive 30 minutes early and a 20-person line that forms as the truck rolls up (unless you're at some obscure bar on the south or east side that no one wanted to drive to). Nonetheless, this sandwich is worth it. The chicken is so spicy, so juicy, so crunchy, so HOT, and every single time feels like an experience. As in, when you're done eating the sandwich you go, damn, that was good. And for a brief moment, you enter one of those commercial-like moments of happiness, as Deadpool would say. Sure, everyone has their good nights and bad nights. There were times where the buns were too dry. There's been more than once when they were a few minutes late. There were times where they ran out of avocado slaw-- and gave everyone a super discounted price! I don't believe these instances should matter; they're not common. It's a food truck. Today while we were at american eat, we decided to give them another try since there were people lined up for these sandwiches, so we thought maybe something had changed... nothing changed. My sandwich had a tail sticking out one side that was about 1.5" long, and it was SO OVERDONE and so was so hard I couldn't cut through it with the knife provided. When I bit into it, it tasted like chicharrón. I'm not sure what the red heat they put in the outer portion of the chicken is, but it's definitely not like any other traditional hot chicken I've ever had. The Cole slaw should really be left off, it's sweet, and adds nothing to the sandwich. If you are in the mood for a chicken sandwich, seriously, go to Popeyes. Their sandwich is $4 and 10x as good! Pops sandwich is $10. Even if pops was the same price as Popeyes, I'd take Popeyes hands down over pops. read more

This pains me to leave a bad review, but alas, this was the worst chicken sandwich, nay ANY sandwich, I've ever eaten. My husband waited in line for over an hour for 2 sandwiches. I bit into my sandwich and noticed several things assaulting my senses all at once. The first was an offputting taste you get when something is cooked in not-so-fresh oil. It almost tasted fishy. The second thing I noticed was how dry the chicken was, like Sahara dry. The third thing I noticed was how chewy the chicken was. It was what I can only describe as a chicken jerky sandwich. I read somewhere that Pop's uses thigh meat, which *should* make a sandwich more moist, but not in this case. After two very chewy bites, I was done. I think my husband made it to three bites before he gave up. It hurts my heart to write this 3 stars but I'm a writer for the people and the people deserve the truth. If you have ever had a hot Chicken sando anywhere else Pop's is subpar. The chicken itself needed seasoning and was a little greasy like the oil was too cold to fry in or something. The bread is thick and can hold the sandwich but needed to be warmed up or toasted so it's just just cold and hard to bite into. The avocado slaw and pickles though are really on point that was the best part of the sandwich. The loaded hot fries though were absolutely delicious as they are covered in the avocado slaw and the hot seasoning.
