a plate of wings and a glass of beer

First off, it took a little longer to get the wings than I had expected. When we did finally receive our wings, they were delicious. They were crispy. The sauces felt homemade. I highly recommend this place. I will be following them to see when they come back to the north side of town. The reason I'm giving it four stars is they ran out of, and lids for the condiments, and to go containers which made it hard to travel with.

I've been seeing post on Facebook forever about this place and finally decided to give them a try...and I'm glad I did! Couldn't decide on what flavor sounded the best, so I ended up with 6 different flavors AND an order of their Pacaw fries. Not a single flavor disappointed and the fries were LOADED! They have such unique flavors and the wings were cooked to perfection. I have definitely found my new wing spot in town....and even my picky 5yo torn up his wings.

Service was amazing and food cooked to order. Let's start with the main event: the wings. These bad boys are big. Not your average, skimpy winglets--these are full, meaty, and satisfying with every bite. The skin is perfectly crispy, the kind that crunches just right and still locks in that juicy tenderness underneath. But what really sets them apart is the sauce. It's a "sweet heat" situation that hits all the right notes--just enough sugar to balance out the spice, and just enough spice to keep you coming back for more. It doesn't overpower; it enhances. On the side, don't sleep on the fries. These aren't frozen, run-of-the-mill throwaways--they're homemade, golden, and seasoned with care. You can taste the difference, and they round out the meal in the most satisfying way. Whether you're a wing connoisseur or just hungry for something legit, CP's Wings makes it worth the trip. Crispy, saucy, and seriously delicious.

One of the best burgers I've had in Tucson. Yes, really. The meat was so flavorful and juicy. The sauce, which Dave, the owner, explained, is all house made. Superb combination of flavors. My daughter absolutely loved it, too. The sauce is really killer. Strange in reading the other review. My experience was way different. I was charged $1 less than the printed menu. I guess that he was running a different price for the roundup, maybe, I don't know. Dave is a really friendly guy. I could tell he takes pride in his product the way he described his other items and sauces. His truck could use some pizazz to get more noticed. He also needs to get the word out more, too. Like him on Facebook to see where he is. I'm definitely keeping his truck on my radar. Give it a try! I highly recommend it. The only burger I like better so far, is Zinburger. But that is somewhat a different category. At least I *think* I like Zinburger better. Now I'm going to have to go there to eat so that I can make a fair comparison. Bummer! :)

Greasy, undercooked and small portions and the added insult of overcharging. I assure you that missing this one by virtue of my mistake is your gain!!!

I also got a Jamaican pop--Cola Champagne. Really good stuff. You just have to ignore food truck prices and bite the bullet to bite the food. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I've seen this trucked posted up at The Pit for a while, and I've heard good things, so I went full send and tried the oxtails. They came with plantains, rice and peas, and steamed veggies. The oxtails were perfectly cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender. Great flavor! Delicious plantains, rice, and veggies. What a stacked meal. I grabbed the bag and was surprised by how heavy it was. Definitely enough for 2. This was next level from what I've had in the past, and I look forward to visiting again and trying more.

I loved this place and frankly, although great Mexican food in Tucson is a given, I didn't know they had good barbeque too. They had all my favorites, so my wife and I decided to split the The Big "Q" Platter for $38. This included Brisket, Pulled Pork, Tri-tip, Sausage, Turkey, two St. Louis Style Pork Ribs, and 4 slices of toast with our choice of two eight-ounce sides (we chose the baked beans and coleslaw. My favorites were the Ribs, Brisket, Tri-tip, and baked beans. The turky was solid and smokey. I'm not really a fan of sausage, but my wife enjoyed these. I loved that you could really taste the smokey taste and that everything was fresh, juicy, and tender. The baked beans were the kind of love, with pieces of pork throughout the mixture. Because we split this platter (with leftovers), it was quite a good deal. When the bill came, the waitress listed a bunch of things that qualified for an extra discount, so we scored an additional 10% off for being seniors. If I lived in Tucson, this place would be on my regular restaurant rotation, which is high praise indeed!

I hope management starts paying closer attention to how their staff treats incoming patrons. Your food might be good, but you are not that special. Show some respect to your customers.
