I had a sample of a piece of Quartz that I was in love with. When I went to the showroom to select the slab, I was so disappointed, as it didn't achieve the look I wanted. Susanna walked me through the warehouse so I could see all of the slabs in their entirety. I found several others that I liked and she gave me samples of all of them as well as prices so that I could be totally informed. Everyone in the showroom was cheerful and attentive and they have an amazing inventory. I am so glad I made that long trip. read more

Couldn't of had a better experience. From checking in at the front desk, to directing us to what we were shopping for and finally placing our order and purchasing our quartz counter tops. Very organized, clear communication between departments and beautiful showroom. read more

fantastic experience to work with MSI representatives and they are so friendly, available as always to assist us with our questions, provide us with the samples... read more

Went to visit MSI with a client yesterday and was working with 2 associates Brandon and Susan. They were both very helpful in getting slabs out to view. Thank you read more

I do not remember the name of the sales person who helped me (hard to chit chat with masks on) but I was greeted immediately when I walked in. I had a list of styles I wanted to see and she walked me through the warehouse to see them all plus showed me more options in the showroom area. I found everyone to be kind and helpful. It is easy to feel overwhelmed at a place like MSI if you're not a professional (and I am not) so I appreciated the kindness and guidance and I searched the quartz slabs. read more

We went to their lavish showroom and picked a product, a rough finish travertine natural stone tile. When our contractor picked up our order it was half what was needed according to our dimensions. The tiles were tied in a bundle so it was impossible to see each tile. When our contractor pulled the bundle apart at least half the tiles were unusable with large chunks missing and nickel and quarter sized holes the full thickness of the tile! When I called a person said we had to work with our contractor and all sales are final. Be warned. These people are crooked through and through!! read more

I love the selection of materials (tile. Countertops stone, etc). However, there seems to be this culture that when a white customer comes in, the ladies at the reception go above ans beyond to show them the store even where the bathroom are. However, I signed in no one offered to help. I waited patiently even when they were not helping anyone. But since they were not going to offer to help I asked for help. However one young receptionist was super rude when I asked her for the price of a slab and refused to help. Not coming here again. read more

Such a great experience. I had an exact slab in mind and the team at MSI worked tirelessly to find it for me. Susana has been an exceptional partner helping me find the right soapstone which I can't wait to see in our new remodeled kitchen. Highly recommend MSI! Even with the pandemic the team energy there was positive and uplifting! read more

Absolutely the worst and most unreliable service. My contractor ordered floor tile from MSI on December 6th. We were told it was available in Orange County and would be shipped up to Hayward in 7 - 10 business days. It's now December 28th and the tile has still not been received. This is holding up my entire job. I would never do business with them again - totally unreliable. read more

The worst will call and customer service. I was there and waited almost 3 hours for a couple pieces of back plash ridiculous. There is a better place in San Jose no more orders for this slow customer service that doesn't even ask if you've been helped yet. When I got home I found half of the box was broken inside and no returns on material unless 60% restocking fee read more

Horrible quality (we have two defective slabs that have perfectly round pock mark/chips in 12 places and growing!!)- Customer care even worse (rep. came out, agreed that 'impact damage' isn't perfectly round pock marks all over the counter but then ghosted us for weeks and finally came back saying it was impact damage---we never drop anything on our counters!!). We are likely going to replace them on our own nickel because the pocks are all over and it looks cheap. read more

The floor quality of this shop is terrible! The flooring purchased in Homedepot in September 2020 will be damaged in November, and more and more places will have problems. Contact the floor company, shirk responsibility, that is the problem of installation. It's a professional master. There's no problem after the installation. It took less than two months for the problem to appear. The floor quality and service attitude of this company are extremely poor. I will find the relevant legal department to continue to investigate the responsibility of the flooring company. read more

Definitely worth the trip! Very helpful staff, beautiful showroom, good COVID protocols. Left me with a very good impression of this company. read more

A big shout out for the staff at MSI. I went with my husband during COVID and they had implemented great safety measures while visiting. We felt very safe while visiting their showroom. read more

Wow! What an awesome place. Everything you could want and nobody who works there knows a damned thing and they don't seem to care. Do you have samples? "I dunno". Is it in stock? "I dunno". What's the cost? "Maybe $25?" Per square foot? "I think." Turns out, they don't even sell it to you. Your fabricator buys it and charges whatever he can get away with. read more

Absolutely horrific customer service. We were literally forced out while we were trying to place an order at closing time (noon on a Saturday), and the only reason I even realized they were closing was because my salesman walked past me on his way out the door wearing his backpack. These people have no clue how to treat customers, hopefully the owners will read this and make some changes. read more

This Place has great selection of quartz and natural stone! however their personal is so lazy or too busy or never respond to availability check and price questions. I think they should hire more ppl or change their old "sales reps" that are nothing but arrogant read more

They don't sell directly to the customers and their reasoning for doing that makes sense. However, what does not make sense is the difference in the price (approx.) they tell the customer and the actual price they charge your contractor. Its literally 50% less. Your contractor has a major incentive in referring this place to you. The choices are okay. Definitely not worth the long drive if you are located in the san jose area and the deal is for your contractor and not for you. read more

Really great selection and service here. Susanna was very professional and helpful. They know their a stone and they listen to whAt the cuatomers needs are. A+ all the way around! They also work really well with the contractor! read more

They have nice products but their customer service stinks. Their call center is based in India so if you call for assistance, you'll get the run around. If you are lucky to reach someone in their Hayward showroom, the staff are rude and the tone is very condescending. Should have listened to a local distributor who told me MSI is difficult to work with. read more

They have quite a good selection of various materials and are helpful. The only reason for giving them a low score is because do not sell directly to the customer, must go through a fabricator, contractor who most probably mark up the cost of materials and you end up paying higher. read more

Save yourself the trouble and skip this spot if you can. My husband and I have visited over five different stone suppliers and this by far was the worst customer service and experience ever. We asked to look at a few slabs and they told us it would take about 15 minutes, only for 15 minutes to pass and were told the request was just put in. So we waited the additional 15 minutes and still nothing happened so we followed up. They told us that they weren't sure how much longer so we decided to cut our losses and leave. Complete waste of our time and such a bummer for MSI since we were ready to purchase 6 slabs! In Julia Roberts voice from Pretty Woman,"BIG MISTAKE!" We will be telling all our friends, families, co-workers, and construction team and fabricators how terrible this place is. Very disappointing. read more

Kitchen remodel countertop fabricator recommended MSI and we couldn't be happier. We went to another business before coming to MSI and really appreciated the excellent customer service, great selection and amazing showroom when we came to MSI. Naomi Cuevas helped us and was wonderful. As we walked around the showroom several people offered assistance - customer service excellence rarely offered in this day and age. Loved the ability to pick our slabs. Highly recommend. read more

Great selection, enough MSI support people on the show room floor to get answers rather easily, all show room staff very helpful. Interesting sign in procedure, be sure and bring your mobile phone. read more

We needed to re-install our sink in a new countertop, which meant we needed a new cutout template (since it wasn't just a simple square). It was very challenging to cut through the call center brush-offs to reach folks at the local branch, but once we did, wow! They were super helpful and went above and beyond to get us what we needed to do this job right. Knowledgeable staff and superior service - thank you! read more

Today we had a great experience at MSI. The front desk lady was extremely helpful, showing us all types of natural stone, she made us feel welcome, and she even gave us the name of a few vendors who we can call to get the installation done. Even though they couldn't sell the product to us directly, they were very helpful in helping us choose what we want, checking if they have in stock, and sharing vendor names with us. She also gave us a sample to bring home, which was critical for our decision. When we got home, we were able to try it out. Wonderful job! read more

MSI Stone is simply the best. Everyone that comes to my house is shocked at how gorgeous a countertop can be. It's stunning. I am so happy that I went to MSI. Pictures don't do sea pearl justice. Everytime I share pictures with friends they say it's nice, but they they come over and their jaws drop. Sea pearl quartzite. Nailed it! It even comes in slabs so long that there are no seams at all. I'm so grateful for rachel and the rest of the staffs help. The pricing is a bit confusing at first, but with a ton of research and yard visits I rest assured that the prices are great. Love love love stone. read more

This review is for Staci and MSI. We recently purchased a slab from them for our kitchen. Staci was so helpful and nice when we went to see the slab. We LOVE our kitchen now. MSI had great prices and choices!! See pictures! Thank you!! read more

Susanna was an excellent resource. We are still working with our fabricator but our experience is she was knowledgeable, unfailingly helpful and went above and beyond. She pulled slabs, was friendly, and knew the products well. She gave useful tips, answered our questions we had for a week, and gave tips that can help. Turns out my parents know the family that owns MSI (see website), and Susanna epitomized what the firm hoped to achieve in customer service read more

After looking at a variety of stone at local retailers and wanting to see full quartz slabs for bathroom remodels, it was suggested we visit MSI. After our initial check in, we were directed to the slabs. After wandering a bit confused for a few minutes, we were fortunate that Susanna approached us and offered her help. She was an exceptional resource. Not only did she show us the full quartz slabs we were interested in, she also suggested we look at some of the same quartz that came pre-fabricated which could be used in one bathroom to possibly bring down costs. She completely understood our vision. Once we chose our quartz she guided us through our floor and shower tile selection process. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and her eye for design was exceptional. We can't say enough about our experience at MSI due to Susanna's expertise and assistance. read more

My husband John and I, alonng with our contractor, visited MSI yesterday to select countertops, backsplashes, fooring tile, and wall title for our kitchen rennovaiton. I John and I have done a number of remodelling projects and we can honestly say that our time at MSI was the most enjoyable we have every experience at a showroom! The variety of procuects was amazing, Susanna, who worked with us every step of the way, was knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and considerate of our needs . She was able to "get into our heads" and helped us tremendously in our decision-making process. Best of all, we are delighted with the outcome. My husband and I would recommend MSI to anyone! Sunil the Gen Mgr of MSI handled a particular situation in regards to a granite slab very efficiently. He was quick in getting back to me and a resolve the problem right away. Thank you and much appreciated. Also their warehouse has a tremendous selection of beautiful granite slabs. read more

Run away, go anywhere but here!!!! We have had our quartz for less than a year and have MULTIPLE nicks/ dents / chips in the quartz!!!! And MSI is not acknowledging the defective product!!! Don't get screwed like us!! We have had quartz in previous house from different company and never had a single issue, there are nicks in places barely utilized. We should have just gone with Marble! We paid a ridiculous amount of $$$ and they provided a defective product! It's not worth the risk!!!! Go to someone else!!!!!!!!!!! Go anywhere else!!! read more

This place has so much inventory I was overwhelmed in a good way! This place is a whole seller place so u can only look and speak with your fabricator or contractor for quotes. We came in on a Saturday without an appt. and we were still able to check out their inventory. We spent an hour walking through and picking out what we liked for our fabricator and is awaiting for a price. If we agree we even get to come back and pick which piece of granite we want! I am excited and will update later. read more

The women who greeted us and oriented us to the showroom and warehouse were so helpful, open, and friendly that they made our countertop selection process easy and fun! They joined in our excitement and genuinely took pleasure in our experience. The number and quality of possible options is astounding. My daughter and I oohed and aahed our way around the quartz section, and found exactly what we had in mind for our countertop. The showroom truly showcases what's possible. MSI was recommended by our contractor and, as he said, it's well worth the trip. read more

M S is not the cheapest stone around but after seeing my neighbor's beautiful granite that he got from MS I decided to take a drive to Hayward. Every time I came to this place two of the women working there were very helpful. The last time I went there looking for my counter tops I kept picking marble. I really wanted to avoid marble because it is porous and stains which is bad for someone like me that loves to cook. The woman working at MS walked me over to the most beautiful stone and I knew right away I didn't need to look any longer. The stone I picked was a quartzite which appears like marble but is more durable than marble. I am extremely happy with my stone from MS. It looks beautiful in my kitchen. If you are looking for a company to fabricate your counters Romarts are your guys. They were so very careful to not scratch anything. read more

After our initial experience, Sunil, the manager did everything in his power to make the situation right. He ordered similar slabs to the ones we were looking at before & shipped them out as quickly as he could. We still haven't completed the purchase and I will be sure to update us again once the purchase is complete along w pictures. So far, so good. We did miss our desired install date for our outdoor kitchen but we are hoping to have a beautiful end product that we could use for the start of the summer. read more

A very proactive customer experience. This was the second remodeling we were undertaking in our house and visited msi to review tile and countertop options. Unlike other places there was no wait time to be assisted. The selection was a combined effort to find the best look for our kitchen. The design and price options are abundant enough that you need not visit other stores. The prices were very fair and we felt we achieved our objective in time, on budget, and very satisfied. Keep it up and will recommend to all my friends. read more

Our landscape contractor recommended a few showrooms in the Bay Area to check out for materials. He gave us MSI's address and I checked the business hours on Yelp before we made the drive across the Bay to Hayward. We were excited to check out their selection of stone for our retaining wall and patio/walkway project. As we walked in, I heard one of the staff complain to her coworker at the front desk that another coworker kept "taking walk-ins." She then turned to us and asked if we had an appointment. We replied no and started to say that we didn't know appointments were required because our contractor had just texted us the address, and that we were 90% sure what we wanted but would like to see some of the stone samples in person before he placed an order for our project. She interrupted before we could even finish the explanation and said, seemingly rather annoyed, "Sorry no, we aren't allowing people without an appointment - do you want to make an appointment for another day?" We said that we unfortunately lived across the Bay and we'd really like to just take a quick look around. In the same annoyed tone, we got another no. Given that we had just heard that another staff member was taking walk-ins, it rubbed us the wrong way. Suppose we'll have to find another supplier. read more
