When it comes to working with a company to provide product and service the expectation is that the company employs knowledgable people who are able to answer questions with direct answers. These folks don't believe in bottom line answers. I got a quote for stone to be $35-$45 per square foot and I reiterated that labor should be in the quote. The dodo that I spoke with said that would be impossible to add labor to the quote... WTF? Really? I felt like I was dealing with Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. Dude you screwed the pooch not just for one room, but all 4 baths and an additional home as well. Business must be so good that being honest and upfront isn't necessary. It seems like friends and family are posting positive reviews... good for you.

They were incredibly easy to work, did fantastic work and the price was exceptional! I highly recommend them!

This was the only store I found that sold prefabricated countertops that had the best looking quartzite, granite and mable countertops. Almost every place I went to only sold slabs and if they sold prefabricated stone countertops they were complete trash. This store was like a museum of all types of beautiful prefab stone countertops. They had taj mahal quartzite and similar quartzite prefabs and at very very decent prices. If you need prefab countertops and a decent price and want luxurious high quality, go here. Forget the other chinese imported prefab countertop stores, forget home depot, go here first.

After several stops at other places that sell prefabricated natural stone, we found two slabs we loved! Beyond the stone, the service and execution of install were perfect. Alan was incredibly helpful and responsive on the sales side and Helen's communication during the install process was amazing. We continue to get lots of compliments on the quality of our new BBQ and Bar area. Thank you!!!

Save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration and call Artistic Stone first! So we've waited forever to remodel our kitchen and had heard so many horror stories of jobs gone bad, but I am here to say that you can skip all of that if you call Artistic Stone. Start to finish, the customer service was superb. From the folks helping us choose our quartz who were very knowledgeable and generous with their time and never tried to steer us in any particular direction, to the speed with which they scheduled and executed our job and the flawless project management (thank you, David!) and the quality of the workmanship, we could not be happier. They worked hard to accommodate our build schedule, and the installers were so helpful and responsive to any questions we had or adjustments we wanted to make. When there was a minor issue we called David and it was immediately addressed - and I mean immediately, the same day. And did I mention the savings?? We are in the north bay and had gotten an estimate from another company up here which was around 40% higher. Yikes! Artistic Stone is a great company and we absolutely love our new kitchen. We will definitely use them again if we ever move and need countertops or backsplash again - if we could give them more than 5 stars we would!

The best thing about buying our new pre-fab quartz countertops from Artistic Stone was their kindness and their professionalism. We needed just over two slabs of quartz in a specific pattern, color, and price. Alan and Helen were always patient, incredibly generous in working with us to meet our (very limited by that point) budget, and they made sure what was installed was beautiful. When their installers forgot to drill the holes for the sink, Helen made sure they came back the next day to finish it up. As first time homeowners, first time remodelers, first time everything we visited everything from the very high end custom-fab stores to the super discount stores. Artistic Stone stood out from the competition and checked all the boxes: local, small business, woman owned, quality fabrication, beautifully curated selection, generous pricing. If nothing else, check out their really cool remnant selection.

    Close up, Quartzite prefab

I can't say enough good things about this business. We're finishing up our renovation and we got our beautiful Quartzite countertop and (subway) porcelain tiles as backsplash at Artistic Stone. The experience was so easy, smooth, and stress-free from start to finish. I only wish I had also gotten my cabinets from Artistic Stone and just had them install everything for us: cabinets, countertop, and backsplash. First off, a big THANK YOU to Alan Trujillo. From the first day we walked in, although we had a vague idea of what we wanted, we still didn't know where to start. Alan was so professional and very patient with us. He showed us different stones, educated us on how it's made, the quality, the different types, etc... and if there was something he wasn't sure of, he made sure to follow up with us and gave us the info we asked for by the end of the day. We didn't choose anything on our first visit, we told Alan we will come back. Then we returned a couple more times after our initial visit because we still couldn't decide whether to go with Artistic Stone or another local business in the area. But each time we came back, Alan had the same attitude; very patient, very professional. He was not a "pushy salesman" - NO pressure at all! He was just happy to see us back and patiently answered our questions. He didn't leave us and helped other customers either. It felt like a very personalized customer service and we appreciated that so much. So we ordered our beautiful Quartzite countertop. Alan helped us pick the prefab slabs that will go together. He went through the measurements with us and guided us on which part to cut, etc.... It was so easy and it felt good leaving the store that day. As promised, Alan sent an email notification on the same day regarding our installation and template schedule. Helen, is awesome! She took over from there, and any emails I sent with questions, Helen answered promptly even on the days the store is closed! Just OUTSTANDING customer service! After installation, Helen sent an email right away checking to make sure everything went well and if there were any problems with the countertop. The installers were punctual and courteous. And I LOVE MY BEAUTIFUL QUARTZITE countertop! It looks even more beautiful than when we picked it in the showroom. It's flawless. You have to look hard to look for that seam (good luck!). It's that flawless. Like I said, if I can have a do-over, I will purchase my ENTIRE kitchen materials & finishes at Artistic Stone (cabinets, countertop, backsplash, flooring), AND also have them install everything for me, for a stress-free, worry-free process. Peace of mind is priceless especially when you're doing a major renovation project. That is what Artistic Stone can give you - besides their high quality products - the assurance that you will get the BEST service from start to finish is something that's worth paying for. Their price is fair, and it's worth every penny. So if you're still on the fence about giving them a try. Just visit them. You won't regret it. Thank you Alan, Helen & David! :) Will post more pictures after post-construction cleaning. Your 100% Satisfied Customer, -Aura S.

I just had my kitchen completed with countertops from Artistic Stone. Jake Tran was amazing and helped me with every detail very patiently, while I went through nearly every sample in the store, and which he called the manufacturer for availability for every one of them! He was very patient with my many changes and questions and got me on the schedule right away. Everyone at Artistic Stone is so pleasant to work with because they are so friendly and helpful, they treat you like family! The installation team was amazing and addressed every issue and concern that I had. I called David the construction manager at the San Leandro store with a very minor issue and he had it taken care of right away. They did a beautiful job of installation on a complicated project, because of a low window that we had to accommodate. I got the top of the line material for the best price! In the end, Artistic Stone got back to me and let me know that there was actually enough material left over to install cabinets in my dining room as well, which saved me a ton of money on that project! All around Artistic Stone San Leandro is the best!! Thank you!

First things first. 100 percent of the time, and every time we had any contact with Artistic Stone Kitchen and Bath employees, they followed Covid-19 safety protocols. I first called to see if we could come in after reading lots of Yelp reviews. Min, the very friendly woman who answered, transferred me to Helen. I discussed what we wanted and we set up a time to go into the shop. Min showed us around while we waited to meet Helen. I was impressed by the inventory, options, and the organized manor in which the stone was displayed. We then met Helen and we began to develop our plan to transform our kitchen. We bought larger pieces of quartz for our kitchen countertops so we wouldn't have seams.( really glad we did) We picked the tile we wanted and soon had the quote in our hands. We liked what we saw and we decided to sign the quote! A team came in, demo'd the original counter and wall surfaces coverings. A few days later or stone arrived and was installed. The next day the tile team professionals came in and did the tile work. The job was not completed fast but it was done correctly by people I felt confident about. My wife and I feel like we are standing in someone else's kitchen! I mean we have been in a lot of other peoples kitchens that looked great but we never had one like this! Our kitchen! Yes it is! Now all we need is that bathroom we've seen but never had. We will be returning to see Helen and look forward to working on that. Kitchen and bath remodel is serious work and costs serious money. I can say with complete confidence that we were treated fairly, with respect, and received every penny's worth of our investment. Thank you Helen, thank you to your entire team of professionals for the outstanding work they did. We appreciate the work you did. You have made our environment more enjoyable to live in. We truly appreciate it. Whatever it is that you are looking for, Helen can get it for you, and has a crew of journeyman craft personal to install it professionally. I can highly recommend Artistic Stone Kitchen and Bath to anyone considering remodeling your kitchen, bath, or both!

    Porcelain tiles for fireplace

Artistic Stone has amazing collection of all Kitchen countertops and tiles. We purchased our beautiful Quartz counters from Artistic Stone in San Leandro with the help of Helen there who went above and beyond to get us the pieces we needed. Helen helped put together the layout for kitchen countertops and making it real. Very reliable store with amazing customer service and design sense. In my kitchen renovation , my favorite items were my fireplace tiles and kitchen counters and backsplash.

Artistic Stone's name and Yelp reviews honestly freaked me out. It sounded super fancy, their website is super fancy, and they have an active and well-regarded Yelp page. This usually signals to me that a company is probably out of reach for us financially in comparison to smaller businesses without the internet savvy marketing and clientele reviews to yet inflate their prices. My spouse and I went to many countertop companies when searching for slabs of that marble-look quartz, including lesser-reviewed places without internet presence and large box home improvement at stores. We did a lot of research regarding name brands and country of origin for quartz, as well as considered warrantys. One of the most important things to me was the ability to create a singular slab for our peninsula so there's no seam there as well as incredible seaming work so where there unfortunately needed to be some, it would not be horrendous like some examples I have seen. When compared to other independently owned countertop stores, Artistic Stone wasn't the cheapest. There were two other places with cheaper, but they hid their costs in their installation costs instead. **Keep this in mind! Find out labor costs!**. In the end, it only appears as if Artistic Stone costs more than Granite Expo or whatever cheaper stores; when they put in all their installation fees, it all is in the wash. In comparison to large box stores, Home Depot actually came back to us with an equivalent quote but for a Made in US name brand quartz with extended decades+ warranty during their frequent sales. But the problem is that they contract out their installs and there is no way to guarantee their seaming work. Additionally, they were not able to produce a single slab to cover our whole peninsula, and that was an absolute must for us. Perhaps if one got a single-color countertop with no designs, it wouldn't be a big of a deal, but for ours, it was a make or break consideration. Benjamin was the original salesperson to help me pick out the pieces, and Helen helped us another day to get down to the nitty gritty in terms of matching seams from one piece to another. The way their minds conceptualize this all is astonishing; I got dizzy turning my head upside down trying to understand. Now this isn't to say our order came without a hitch, but that was not on Artistic Stone at all. In fact, Helen saved our asses. What really sealed the deal was Artistic Stone's installers. They have incredible staff, and Helen, Samuel, and the overseeing installation/foreman guy (forget his name) were flawless. Our kitchen is upstairs, we have narrow U-shaped stairs and there was no way to safely get the large peninsula piece of quartz that weighs hundreds of pounds with the 6-8 full grown muscle men to hold it. To say I was devastated is an understatement when they said I had to cut it and place a seam, and I just did not accept that since it was one of the main reasons we went with Artistic Stone. So Helen and her staff came by our house twice to figure out options. In the end, Helen helped us hire and coordinate renting a forklift and driver to bring the peninsula piece all in one piece to our kitchen. She took care of it all including calling for multiple quotes. Ya'll. The proof is in the pudding. Check out our photos and videos. We are incredibly proud of our new countertops and have all the best things to say about Artistic Stone and their team. If customer service as well as fine workmanship is important to you, you will have no regrets at all!

The seam, it's nearly impossible to see or feel, very impressed.

The staff at the show room were friendly, informative, and attentive. The installation guys were no nonsense and very clear with what they needed to do the job. They made sure we were happy with where the seams were placed and other details. They were quick and I'm particularly impressed with the seam work. I can barely feel where the pieces of granite connect. Also I LOVE the textured black slabs that we got, they look beautiful in our kitchen. Thanks for the great experience Jake!

I know hiring a contractor is scary. There's a lot involved and they'll be in your house for an indeterminate amount of time which makes it really important to hire someone you can trust. Tom came out to provide an estimate for our project. He was the only one of the contractors I called that really investigated the existing condtions and repair based on what he could see and his own knowledge. He spent over an hour at the initial call making sure he didn't miss anything and talked through the potential issues and repair. This was his time spent not knowing whether or not we'd hire him. He was also the only contractor to tell me he would only do the work with a permit. Whether or not you think one is needed, just knowing that he wasn't afraid of the permitting or inspection process was a big plus to me. Always ask about permits during the interview process. He then went to his car, drafted an estimate and came back to talk to me about it. I was really impressed at this point. There wasn't any pressure from him to sign on and he encouraged me to ask questions. The estimate was well defined and a bit higher than another bid, but from what I saw I thought it would be worth it. After we signed on, he gave a rough schedule and starting time and said they stay on the job until it's done. We had a list of items to buy and he helped us out there too. He was in constant communications and always responded, even on weekends. Before the work begins, it is pretty easy to promise things to the client while telling your crew something else. When the work actually started, Jesus was our foreman and true to their word, he stayed on the project until completed. They were extremely respectful of our home, carefully protected things and kept the work area clean. During demolition, they found some unforseen things, but took care of it without issue. There were times when they could've easily walked through our house to talk to us, but instead opted to ring the door bell to respect our space. The construction went smoothly and Tom would visit and communicate frequently. He took care of the inspections as well without issue and some other things without charging us, which I appreciated. At the end of the project, we had some concern about the slope of our deck above the office. Tom and his crew came out and fixed it and didn't even mention the final payment until we were happy. Our remodelled office looks amazing. I'd gladly recommend LB Construction for anyone looking for a contractor and will contact them again in the future.

They seem to answer calls 24/7 and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Mike was main point of contact and gave us an estimate and scope of work. Basically, they had to tear out the drywall and insulation from the wet area, dry and dehumidify the area for days, and then put on moon suits and remove any mold. We were able to have 2 techs come on a Friday and then let the dehumidifier run over the weekend. We also had to tear out our upper cabinet since the top was damaged by water. On Monday, they came back to remove any leftover mode and patch things up. The total price came in well below the estimate, which is a huge plus. Very happy with the service and efficiency. If you ever suspect you have water damage from leaks, call these guys and get the problem resolved to ensure mold doesn't form or worst, spread. Note that their services are purely restorative - they'll dry out the water-damaged area and get rid of all the mold. You'll need to hire a plumber first to stop the leaks and then afterwards, a drywall contractor to patch up the holes with insulation and new drywall followed by texturing and painting.

From…read morebeginning to end, our points of contact, Avi & Joseph have gone above and beyond for our project, walking us through the planning phases, permitting, design, construction and finishing work of the renovation. They were able to make a normally very stressful process almost stress-free, so much so that all I had to do was say "yes or no" when it came to key decisions. The Construction & More team took lead in the painful parts of dealing with permitting, PG&E, and subcontractors. They also got us in contact with their preferred vendors to help us with discounts on appliances, finishes and other materials we needed to purchase out of pocket. Overall, I found the Construction & More team extremely professional, transparent, organized, communicative and punctual when it came to the end-to-end process. They truly helped guide us through the process so we didn't have any surprises and helped us navigate any hiccups that came up. Normally, construction companies get a bad rap of being dishonest and trying to add in hidden fees and such, but Construction & More is a truly forthcoming and hardworking group of contractors who have your best interest at heart when it comes to your project no matter how big or small. For the process itself, we began with a consultation at our home to walk through the work we wanted the Construction & More team to do. For us, it was a full renovation which included removing a kitchen wall to create an open concept kitchen & living room, adding a mud room, expanding the master bedroom, moving the front and garage doors, as well as moving the ceilings to create a more open space. After the consultation was completed, we met with Avi & Joseph at their office to discuss an estimate and timeline for the work we needed done about (6-months time, pending no delays). Avi & Joseph respected our budget and were upfront and honest of how to stay within the budget and what were non-negotiables that we needed to get done. They really helped us understand what work was critical and what were nice to have to make our living space better. Once we agreed on the work, they promptly sent over a contract for signature, created a whatsapp group for real time communication, and next steps. Overall this initial process took about a week after negotiations and contract reviews. Once construction began, the team coordinated all the work. They made sure that all moving parts were well executed while setting a realistic timeline for the work to be done. All the subcontractors and tradesmen were effectively scheduled, where there wasn't a single day where there was no work being done. I felt that the team ensured that the construction was moving swiftly and the crew was respectful of our space. The crew made sure that our home was properly locked up and cleaned up after each day's work. Additionally, all the detailed finishing work was measured and completed with precision, where all the tiles placed were measured with a laser. As a bonus, the crew was also super respectful to our neighbors which is an extra plus! If you're considering a renovation of any size, but especially a full home renovation, I could not rave more about Construction & More. Their expertise, professionalism, thoroughness and transparency really sets them apart from the competition. I'm extremely grateful and happy with the outcome of our renovation! Good work guys!!

There have been multiple unresolved issues with the quality of work and follow-through. One example is an LED light that continues to flicker. It has been more than six months, with many calls and text messages, but the issue still has not been fixed. Another example is damage to our garage cabinet, where a hole was created during the work. We are still waiting for this to be repaired as well. Overall, the lack of timely resolution and poor communication after the project has been extremely frustrating.

We contracted Prime Design & Build to remodel two bathrooms, a laundry room, a staircase, and to…read moreinstall hardwood flooring. Overall, the project went well, and we're happy with the final results. Bryan, our foreman, was a strong asset to the project. Even though he was managing multiple jobs at the same time, his responsiveness and willingness to go out of his way to address our concerns made a big difference. Because we were home throughout the process, we were able to catch issues early and communicate them directly to Bryan, who consistently followed through to resolve them. What Went Well: * The tile and flooring subcontractors were excellent - their craftsmanship and attention to detail truly stood out. * Bryan, our foreman, was responsive to texts and phone calls, listened to our concerns, and made sure they were addressed. He even designed a bi-fold closet door for us, and helped pick up all the material to build it. * Bryan also took the initiative to handle several unfinished items himself, which we really appreciated. * The post-build cleaners were top-notch and left the space in pristine condition. * Throughout the project, everyone we interacted with was professional, courteous, and conscientious. There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

Y Group is local to us, and while their quote wasn't the cheapest, it was very reasonable for the scope of the work. Overall, the project went really smoothly. Of course, with a full house remodel, there were some hurdles along the way, but what really stood out was how the crew and the foreman handled them, they always found a solution. The crew is incredibly fast, efficient, and honestly, just really trustworthy. Whenever a mistake or an unexpected issue popped up, they were completely transparent about it, walked us through the options, and asked how we wanted to proceed. They are incredibly knowledgeable and resourceful. I'd definitely recommend them to friends and family.
