We ordered the garlic knots, the 30 Rocky Mountain pizza, a chicken Caesar salad, chicken Alfredo, and the buffalo wings. The garlic knots were soft, buttery, and full of garlic flavor. The 30 Rocky Mountain pizza was my favorite with spicy honey, meatballs, and creamy ricotta that all paired together so well. The chicken Caesar salad was fresh and generously topped with chicken. The chicken Alfredo was rich, creamy, and comforting, and the buffalo wings had a nice kick without being too spicy. The food came out fresh, the portions were generous, and the staff was friendly. I've had Mr Moto in San Diego and fell in love with the variety of flavors and quality of pizza so I'm glad they opened one in Irvine!!! We ordered so many flavors: The Hulk, California Love, The Shroomster, Extra Virgin, and Piece of Art. We also ordered a calzone, 12 wings, and garlic knots! Highlyyyy recommend the Shroomster as that was my fave. The wings were also delicious and flavorful. I love how they make their pizzas crispy and am always down for a New York slice. There's no seating indoors, but there's plenty of seating outside which was perfect because we brought our dog. Service was helpful and we will be back! read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. I really enjoyed the fact that you can build your own pizza or you can select eight slices from what they offer and make your whole pie. I also ordered the wings with the buffalo sauce. We had the stuffed garlic knots and the regular garlic knots they were both delicious but the spinach and the cheese on the stuffed garlic knot was definitely the highlight. Super stoked that this pizza joint came to OC! Going to San Diego, Mr. Moto's was always a stop for me. The New York style pizza is the perfect blend of crispy and doughy. My two personal favorites are the piece of art and the Rocky Mountains. What are they? I honestly have no clue, but trust me, try it! The piece of art is basically a pepperoni pizza with basil, parm, and hot honey. So good! Don't forget the garlic knots! It honestly seems boring, but once you try it, you'll be hooked. I recommend it with ranch, but they have it with marinara too. Service-wise, the staff was professional. Patient with me trying to decide what pizza to get and hooked it up with the ranch! The place alone has counters inside to eat, and also has plenty of outdoor seating. Not really much for indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor with shade. I went in with my gf and ordered a pepperoni pizza. Once I got home I saw that it was only cheese. I called back to tell them it was the wrong order and the girl at the front desk who took my order told me I was wrong and that I ordered cheese. I have never ordered a cheese pizza before. Saw this new pizza joint over by JWA, so we had to give it a try of course. Ordered 3 pizza's: Mr Moto, Mission BLVD and Hulk. My favorite was the Mission BLVD even though it was all veggies. The crust was a bit soggy on it, I think if you got it well done, it should be better. The Mr Moto and Hulk were both a tad on the salty side. I wasn't a fan of the ricotta they add once the pie is taken out of the oven. Pricing on them is on the high end, about the same as SGT Pepperoni for reference. It's located in the same plaza as Paderia Bakehouse/Starbucks/ Clucks. Can get busy in that plaza during peak times and I would imagine parking can be bad. There is also parking in the back area, by Starbucks. Overall, it's decent pizza. I would give it s 3.5/5 and would come back. read more

Even with sauce on the side, they're still flavorful without. chicken bacon ranch pizza 4/5 It was definitely indulgent with the white sauce, and flavorful from the bacon. Meatball ricotta pizza 3/5 decent and not dry, but the red sauce is nothing to write home about. I didn't like how their ricotta is more whipped and smooth, I prefer mine gritty, feels more cheesy! Garlic knot 2/5 Too doughy and not recommended. Don't waste your cals! In the cheaper pizza world, I would choose Terra Mia, but for convenience this isn't bad at all. Front staff taking order wasn't very friendly, but wasn't rude either. Ordered 4 slices of pizza and some knots. Was asked to look over my order on the screen to confirm. I did.... Waited about 10 minutes for my order to be heated up and when I sat down, I noticed my order was incorrect. Also, when they handed me the pizza box, I wasn't offered any utensils or paper plates. I wasn't even advised to where I can grab them. Again, I think the staff can work on improving their customer service just a tad bit. I understand that many patrons are repeat customers, but I was not. I also understand that being a small store, I could probably figure out where everything is. This place is absolutely amazing I can't get enough! This is my second time back since they've opened and have tried a few different items now. This time I got the California love pizza with buffalo wings. The California love was absolutely incredible I love how big the large is and how nicely done the crust is. It's full of flavor and every bite has something to offer. The buffalo wings are great as well with a nice crisp to the wing. The wings do not come pre tossed in the sauce ( I assume that's to keep them crispy) but I used the buffalo as a dip and it was phenomenal! I do have a couple of notes I just wish the wings themselves were a bit more seasoned if they are going to be left undressed with the sauce but other than that great! Service was nice and quick I showed up when the app said I should and my order was ready for pick up! The place is located near a bunch of other food options that share the outdoor seating area. I can probably say this is the best New York Pizza in Orange County right now. Been wanting to try them for a few weeks . I love the piece of art pie. But California Love was a little too garlicky for my taste. Ordered half and half large pie and it took about 20 minutes. Tasted great and quality of ingredients was high. Make sure to get your pizza well done if you like it crispy. Only issue was with ordering, the person taking the order could not understand what I meant by half-and-half, super strange. We eventually made it work out when somebody else came to her rescue. The other guy was super nice and knowledgeable. I think he was the main Pizza maker or the dough stretcher. I like that the pizza isn't super greasy and the ingredients seem fresh. I've been in a pizza type of mood lately, specifically thin-crust NY style pizzas, and even more specific, a margherita style pizza. Mr Moto doesn't have an exact marg pizza, but they do have the extra virgin pizza and without the pesto oil, it's pretty similar! My friends and I ordered a few pizzas to try something new a few days ago. We got the extra virgin, California love, and rocky mountain. The three pizzas plus two stuffed knots, and some ranch/marinara came out to about $100, which was about $25 per person. For the size of the pizzas, it was pretty worth it! The extra virgin ended up being just okay, same for the California love (which is chicken, ranch caramelized onion). Our favorite was the rocky mountain which had ricotta, sauce, and red sauce! Surprisingly, their sausage wasn't super salty, which is probably why we liked it. I liked that they have an online ordering option, which was about 45 minutes, and it was ready when we got there. read more

Went back to the Irvine location to try something different. Ordered a pizza (half Mission Blvd, half Furious Diablo). They made the pizza fresh on the spot. The pizza was made like a piece of artwork (see picture). Normally I prefer a pizza with more meat but I was confident this was going to be good. It didn't disappoint. Toppings were fresh and plentiful...plenty of cheese. The crust was thin with just enough firmness to eat the slice with one hand. It's crispy, thin, with a nice crunch on the bottom with a little chew at the edge, the sauce tastes fresh and tangy, and the cheese melts just right without being greasy. I enjoyed the "Piece of Art" and "Mr.Moto" in particular. Unfortunately, I have to bring down the review one star for now based on my experience with the pasta. I had the Alfredo pasta with mozzarella and it was really bland to the point where I wasn't sure if there was any Alfredo in it. Admittedly, there was a nice crust on some of the pasta. I asked the team if they could help me out, and they offered to add some Alfredo...except they pulled cold Alfredo from the fridge and poured it over the pasta.
