I normally never have an issue with them, but I never ordered their chicken wings or drunken noodles before today. The drunken noodles had no flavor and had no spice at all. I may as well not have ordered it. I also ordered their honey chili chicken wings, which at first were ok, but then I had one and it was raw under the skin. The chicken in the drunken noodles was dry. I shut up the raw chicken, and thought I would be ok. But a few hours have gone by and now I have food poisoning and my body is rioting.. I'm so grossed out. If I get worse, I will be making a call to the board of health. The only reason they got 2 stars is because I have never gotten sick from them before. I just paid $30 for 2 items that I am now throwing up. But after this, and their high price delivery fee and they ask for tip based on meal, tax and delivery fee (should just be on the food, and yes, I worked in a restaurant for several years and that is expected) I mean, I should not be tipping for a $4 delivery fee. I really hope the staff is more careful with their food prep and cooking. I ordered around 6:30, my food came just after 7:00... I live on the west side of Milton and that is a 15 minute drive.. how long did my food get cooked for? Not long enough. I don't enjoy giving poor reviews but I'm sorry to say that this will be one of them, my family and I ordered from Mr. Chan's today, in the spirit of "The Christmas Story" movie and, well, it's Christmas and not much is open. We ordered $129.00 worth of food and it simply was not good, nor was it complete. The beef with broccoli and orange chicken came with OUT rice, now, call me crazy but I've never had to specify that I wanted rice with these dishes because they automatically came with rice, I've at times had to specify white or brown, but never at all?! the chicken wings weren't breaded and not only looked very odd but the flavor was equally as odd, The aforementioned beef with broccoli had no flavor AT ALL, I'm talking zero flavoring, you would have thought we asked for the dishes to be organic and clean! the orange chicken was spongy and soggy, the house fried rice also came with out any hints of seasoning, I mean, weren't there any spices left on the wok?? not even salt was added, it was unusually bland. One of the worst, if not the worst, chinese food i've ever had. We ordered garlic noodles, mongolian beef, yu shiang eggplants, & general gau chicken. The noodles were overcooked and soggy. The mongolian beef seems like it was boiled beef - nothing close to p.f. chang's. Eggplant was drenched in greasy sauce. General gau was just overly breaded chicken with cheap sweet and sour sauce on it. Terrible. Went here because covid19 has shut down most of my go to chinese restaurants in Quincy. I have lived in Quincy for 5 years. And ironically there is no good Chinese food. Chan's looks good from the outside and inside. But upon being a regular- the employees are arrogant, they never get an order correct over the phone, and everything is over priced. Since they remodeled the restaurant, it looks very nice. The food is usually very good, our personal favorite is the honey chili chicken wings. Good food except the one that i tried today - seafood gumbo. would never get that soup again - it's just a weird white broth and a bit of tiny shrimp pieces and scallops. Possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. We got General Gau's chicken, sweet and sour pork, and fried rice--all pretty basic American Chinese staples--we weren't looking for much. The Gau's was awful (what flavor there was tasted nothing like any Gau's I have ever eaten) and the pork was tough and chewy (I guess at least I could tell it was pork). I'm so completely disgusted. I popped in here for a quick bite with my husband, and sat down at one of the tables. It's clearly a take out spot as the tables were all empty. As we started eating, the woman who works at the front (taking orders) literally started throwing up into a trash can at her desk! I was in complete shock. The appetizers are great here. Chicken Wings, crab Rangoon, teriyaki. The egg foo young is good too. The only thing that I find terrible here is the girl who answers the phone to take orders. I was at Milton market place when I realized I didn't want to cook called and ordered a Dorchester chicken wings/fingers boneless ribs rice lobster sauce with shrimp they gave no napkins or plastic ware the shrimp inside the lobster sauce were no good which messed up the whole lobster sauce the chicken was soggy and the pork inside the rice was burnt so every bite you take was burnt as I was sitting on my bed I passed gas and used the bathroom on myself worst experience ever!!!!! read more

Definitely not what it use to be... I ordered from here abt a month ago and it wasn't great. It was like Food Court/Buffet quality. Tasted like it'd been sitting out. I called in to get a take out so that when I pass by there, the food would be ready. However, when I called to place my order....all the woman said was hello. I thought I got the wrong place and I had to ask if I was calling Mr. Chans. From that, everything went downhill. I only ordered appetizers and as how much was in a small or large.....I expected that she would tell me the quantity not the price. I knew she would get my name wrong and I offered to spell it and she totally shut me down. I hate when people spell my name wrong and when I went, I told her my name and she still asked me what I ordered. There aren't much orders there and it is not that hard. Best chinese food ever! Went there with colleagues a few times as well as some takeouts after work, they never let me down. The food is always perfect, i love their chicken wings, GG chicken and chicken lo mein, they are the best! the staffs there are always nice and friendly, greet me right after i walk in. Also they always try to help, even tell me how to order at a cheaper price from the menu lol i was so surprised when she told me she tried to save me money lol May be sometimes they are a little bit too loud but i guess that's the way they talk?? So I'm sad to write a bad review about Mr. Chans because I used to love them so much. Today when I got home from ordering my food I was truly disappointed. I ordered the spicy squid, house fried rice and a vegetable side. The squid isn't squid its cuttle fish look it up big difference cuttle fish is penny's on dollar compared to squid and its chewy like really chewy. The rice was under cooked and only had a little chicken, peas and a piece of pork not at all what I expected from them and the vegetables were mushy not crispy. Ok I ordered off the menu meaning asked if they could make these things but these are staples for a Chinese restaurant. So maybe there good for your traditional american chinese food but dont order anything ethnic or be really disappointed and I'd avoid the seafood. hrm so friend did take out here and it was I guess they r hit or miss read more

I usually order the big plate special number 2 and still have more to eat the next day, so the portions are big and the prices cheap! The Good: The Most Solid Chinese/Hangover Food in the 02186 The Bad: $$$ Prices Weeps My Wallet The Ugly: The Hot & Sour Soup Mr. Chans is without a doubt very good 'average' Chinese. I give it four stars not because it's the best Chinese I've ever had. However, it's convenient, super fast and unbelievably solid. The Peking Ravioli is by far my favorite, fried or steamed it always manages to cure my dumpling cravings. The vegetable lo mien is another favorite. Other usual picks include: the chicken wings (greasy enough to cure any hangover), the crab rangoon (occasionally a bit too much 'crunchy outside' but good), the beef teriyaki (not a personal fav but always recommended), and the pad thai (the shrimp is a bit small and eh, and it isn't really thai at all but it's very satisfying). And do be sure to check your order before leaving. There have been a few occasions where I've discovered that they forgot an item or screwed up the order while driving home. By then, it's generally too late. With a high volume of orders, these mistakes are understandable but it's frustrating to have re-order your dumplings because the fried them rather than steaming them. The suspect food choices: the hot and sour soup is absolutely horrendous, the general tsaos chicken is nothing spectacular, and a family member did once find a hair in their noodles which was horrifying but I came back which says something about the convenience and generally good experience. It is, however, extremely expensive for average Chinese which can be a bit annoying as ordering enough for a few people can easily put you over 30 dollars but it is located in Milton. Overall, I'm a loyal customer and there have been times I've gotten take out from there more than twice in a week (***they are also nice about letting you order before they are technically open). I have two bad experiences with delivery, one time they totally forgot about us, the next time much farther in the future they said the delivery driver was new. My food is now one hour late, they projected 45 mins and it has now been 1h45m and they have not given me an update. read more

Mr. Chan's is my go to Chinese restaurant, and I have been going there for several years. As of a few months ago, they have converted to a sit down restaurant as well as a delivery/pick up place. The restaurant decore is tasteful and is very clean. Food quality has increased immensely and portion sizes are huge- at least two meals in one. Food is flavorful and overall extremely delicious. Cooking and delivery times are speedy, and the location is easy to get to. Definitely try it out if you haven't yet! read more
