I wondered whether, like the chopstick, this seemingly simple storefront echoed the community, harmony and other symbols the chopstick has come to represent. This family-owned place (tradition) is takeout focused, so upon entering you walk up to a counter spanning the length of it with a menu up above. The kitchen is on full display right behind the counter with a community of individuals working feverishly to churn out specialities. They run a tight ship -- the gentleness in taking your order can turn into shouting to ensure that your order is heard and processed quickly. The chicken in our sweet and sour hid in the mass of breading (maybe it was scared) - it's a shame because we only had a hint of flavor. My broccoli was more friendly -- cooked well but drowned a bit in the brown sauce. I was also searching for some larger chunks of pork or vegetables in my fried rice to enhance the flavor. There you have it -- tradition, community, gentleness -- they are doing the chopstick proud. Hoping next time they can make a few tweaks in the kitchen and bring some excitement to my chopsticks. read more

I still remember the first time I tried China Chopstick, a couple years ago. I am Chinese myself and I have never really been a fan of Chinese takeout food. So when my coworkers suggested this place to grab food, I was like hmm okay, I guess. After having some beef lo mein, I couldn't believe it was that good. Fast forward, I was ordering from here every other day for 2 years!! Mondays were kind of miserable though because they are closed Mondays. China Chopsticks has some great food! Quality take out, fast and efficient, and tastes yummy. This is the only place I will get Chinese take out. They don't disappoint. I normally order beef lo mein with crab rangoons and beef teriyaki as a combo. Or I will just get a small beef lo mein. Their beef chow fun (干炒牛河) is solid to get from here too. Plenty of parking available. It's located in a plaza with Walgreens & Star Market. read more

This is a family run business that's been a staple to the community in Quincy. It's a take out joint not a gourmet dine-in for those wondering. I always grab dinners for the fam every so often when we are lazy to cook. The staff has always been nice, they know many of their patrons by name (even when you call in if you're a regular) The food is always hot, always consistent and there's occasional updates to the menu. We usually grab in no particular order, - Sesame Beef - Gen Gau - salt pepper chicken wings - crab rangoons - beef teriyaki - chicken fingers - beef lo mein - hot sour soup - pan fried noodles (with beef or chicken) Any combinations of the above depending on who's eating in the family. The luncheon combos are good and you can get your main rice and an app. Always will continue to support! Love this place. read more

Very small place- does mostly to go business. Staff was friendly, and had no problem accommodating my dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the food was bland; it was very under seasoned. We ordered the large portions of the Szechuan chicken, the pork with mushroom and broccoli, and the crispy sesame chicken. The portions were generous, but didn't include rice or noodles. I ordered a large rice to share. The sesame chicken was the best seasoned of the 3, but the pieces were too large as was the problem with the other 2 dishes. Overall, I was not impressed. read more

This is your typical Chinese take restaurant. They're located near Star Market and have a small parking lot. I called my order in and my order was ready in 10 minutes. They have good lunch specials every day from 11-3pm that comes with white or pork fried rice and choice of appetizer for about $10. I also like their all day specials which have a lot of options. Last time, I got the General Gau with Crab Rangoon and Pork Fried Rice (All day special of Choice of House Special and appetizer with pork fried rice or white rice). I like their other dishes, but the General Gau tasted a bit off since since it came out flat and was mostly white breast meat. Overall, I enjoy their generous portions and pricing and will be back. read more

Chop sticks is my go to for take out Chinese food. Their portions are generous and even though I'm not an all that frequent customer they always remember I want an extra duck sauce and mustard for my order. I really enjoy their scallion pancakes and they havent missed on any of the entrees we tried. My fiancé loves their wonton and sweet and sour soups. Ordering is easy and repeated back to you to confirm it's accurate and I appreciate that level of service from their staff. read more

THE place for Chinese food in Quincy. China Chopstick is literally the only place I go for Chinese food. Great deals, super friendly staff who will know you by first name after 2-3 orders, and I just love the food. Lunch/dinner combos can be cheaper than typical fast food locations, never takes too long to have ready, and convenient parking (in and out) in a matter of minutes. read more

Fresh and Fantastic! I stop here whenever I am in the area. Mostly takeout but there are a few tables , the staff at the counter is so nice what a great group of people! Been ordering from here since I was a teenager about 10 years. The food is always good and good pricing. However I have shifted to delivery and notice the total for my orders were being adjusted to $2-5 more than what I was told. I thought maybe it was delivery but decided to call today to ask and turns out the delivery guy WROTE IN his own tip and has been stealing money from me and probably others. They also said there was a FORGED signature as he never even handed me a slip. Not to mention I gave him $5 in CASH. I always tip In cash. I just love this Chinese Food eatery! I've been to many many restaurants for Chinese Food and this is one of the best in Quincy. I'm so happy they are right down the street from my house even though they do offer delivery. I love the people that take the phone orders and when I go in person. Very good customer service. I always try to get something different when I can. The food is always fresh and delicious. I've never been sick after I've eaten there. Very good food for your money. I called for pick up and ordered two all day specials and was given the total and estimated time -- only 10 minutes! As we arrived, there were several other customers waiting for their orders. The orders are clearly identified by customer's names written on the bag. Our order was ready by the time we arrived. Even after 30 minutes, our food was still warm. A couple friends of mine raves about this place so much so we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The moment I called the restaurant, a young man picked up and he provided great customer service and even gave me a couple popular recommendations. We order 2 D1's with two appetizers each. One plate we ordered meatless lo mein, general gao chicken, crab ragoons, and chicken teriyaki skewers. The second plate we ordered pork riced rice, general gao chicken, chicken wings, and spareribs. Everything was amazing. There was a slight bad taste which wasn't pleasant with the chicken teriyaki but was still edible. Not good.. ordered general tso's chicken, hunan beef, and house special lo mein. Nothing comes with rice and I didn't see any combination platters available. The general tso's chicken was popcorn chicken but flat... never have I see general tso's chicken that way. It tasted more like sweet bbq sauce. Very disappointed. The house special lo mein was very bland. They used chicken breast, ham, and very small shrimp. Lastly, the hunan beef was probably the best of the 3. Food is pretty good, and portions are great! Also, definitely on the cheaper side. Just a fair warning: as a previous review has mentioned, the General Gau's Chicken is very different from usual take-out Chinese places. It tastes and has the texture of more regular pieces of fried chicken - and is tougher. Don't get me wrong it's not necessarily bad just different than most other places, and doesn't come with vegetables. Otherwise good food, and good prices! read more

This Chinese takeout as Chinese takeout should be. 1) Extensive menu with options for everyone 2) Effective/efficient/easy ordering via the phone 3) HUGE portions - not greasy 4) They put a lot of care into the packaging which means there's no sauce or grease soaking through the bag. I went to China Chopstick for the first time yesterday for a takeout order I called in. The cashier was very friendly and greeted me when I walked into the establishment. The order of chicken fingers and beef teriyaki was delicious. The duck sauce was really tasty, too. Moved to Quincy 6 months ago and always see this shack at the edge of the street near star market so avoided it. Finally decided to go today for lunch and was absolutely amazed!!! It's run by 4 old folks like mom& pop couples. Very very nice people. I ordered the General Gau's chicken lunch special with an egg roll and chicken fried rice ($1 extra). I noticed that they had the chicken breaded fresh. Even the chicken in the fried rice was tasty. Very little oil compared with other places. Take a look at the pictures of the food and judge yourself; I was delighted and will probably hit it up soon again. Don't forget to ask for the chili oil - it's flavorful and got a nice kick to it read more

The takeout here was surprisingly good. A great go-to if you're looking for something quick and other places are closed. Favorite part about what I had was the lobster sauce. Wasn't too saucy and it had plenty of meat. I was hoping for more chicken wings but at the end of the day I got a lot of food for only $10. Will be coming back! read more

3.5 typical American Chinese; greasy and delicious. They deliver in the most abhorrent weather. I'd recommend that you Use cash only, as with any Chinese restaurant... safety first! Must be tried: they boast very good appetizers and the beef fried rice is top quality. A very good bargain. read more

They have extra sauce ready for you on the table for both clay pot dish and rice rolls in case you need more sauce. The rice rolls are perfect. Ground Pork W.preserved Vegetables Clay Pot Rice梅菜肉餅煲仔飯: The English translation is already a bit misleading. This dish should be pork patty with preserved mustard greens, but what was served didn't match either component. First, this was not meicai梅菜(preserved mustard greens). Proper meicai should be dark brown and fibrous even after soaking, whereas this consisted of pale yellow granules, both in appearance and taste much closer to dongcai冬菜 (preserved Chinese cabbages). While dongcai can appear in some clay pot rice dishes, this was clearly not what it should be. Second, this was not a pork patty. The meat was simply loose minced pork scattered on top of the rice, without any mixing or shaping. As a result, it lacked the cohesion, tenderness, and springy texture that define a proper pork patty. There was even a slight sour note, which felt off. Third, the "claypot sauce" was surprisingly slightly viscous, like Singaporean dark soy sauce, and had a strong ginger flavor. I also tried the rice roll sauce; it had a normal soy sauce texture, but the ginger flavor was still very strong, meaning it was still not authentic. Given the stated Taishan background, the lack of traditional structure and technique in this clay pot rice was quite surprising. Compared to Clay Pot Cafe in Boston Chinatown, which offers a way more authentic execution, the difference becomes even more apparent. That said, to be fair, the rice itself was decent: grains were distinct, and there was a noticeable wok aroma. Milk Tea: The old menu called it "Hong Kong style milk tea," while the new menu simply said "milk tea," which seems more accurate. It was bitter at first, then intensely sweet, not fragrant at all--very weird. As someone who grew up in Guangdong, it's honestly frustrating to see it reduced to something so off. If you're looking for an authentic Cantonese clay pot rice experience, this would likely be a disappointing stop.

Though not a Thai restaurant, their Tom Yum noodle soup is just the best. They let you choose the type of noodle you want which is really nice if you want to customize and have a preference for noodles. Other favorites I recommend from the menu are the fried oysters and the green tea smoothie. Wish I could recommend more since it's such a big menu but I keep sticking to the same things so I can't personally speak to them. Others have tried the rice dishes etc and liked them a lot as well so I really don't think you can go wrong.

I started with chicken wings assuming they'd be actual chicken wings in line with say, Chinese restaurants. Instead, I got the cheap breaded, seemingly frozen, garbage sold at a dime a dozen pizza/sub places. They are low quality nonsense...and $11. Hilarious. I also got the rib eye beef and enoki ramen noodles. Listen, there is roughly 5lbs of it. 3 adults can share it. But Quincy has endless options for authentic Asian food and that's what we want--quality over quantity, Asian food with fresh, quality ingredients. See the pictures. It is a mound of overcooked mush with extremely/borderline inedible fatty meat and equally mushy enoki mushrooms hidden here and there. When I know for a fact that I could cook a stir fry ramen that is ten times better than what I just paid $20 for, there is zero reason to return to your restaurant, and I won't.

First of all, the arrangement they had for queueing for tables was a bit confusing and unclear. We were given a slip of a paper with a number on it, which the hostess eventually called out after about 10 minutes. I wish they had a more seamless system for handling this (in an app or taking phone numbers instead). We ordered lots of dishes to share.. pineapple buns with roast pork, the viral crab rangoon scallion pancake, soup dumplings, rice rolls with ribs, etc. The standout for me was definitely the crab rangoon scallion pancakes. I 100% get the hype! It's ooey and gooey and perfect for any crab rangoon lover. I was however pretty disappointed in the pineapple buns (one of my favorite dishes) and soup dumplings, which honestly just tasted like they were frozen and reheated from the grocery store. The service was also very absent and it took awhile for us to wave someone down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if we visited on an off day or something, but I wasn't very impressed.

Be prepared to find street parking and even do a little walking. As for wait time, I have been here twice during lunch and on the second trip I did have to wait 20 minutes for a table. The restaurant was packed and there were plenty of takeout orders throughout the meal when I dined in both time. Clearly, a local favorite. You can try the trio appetizer that lets you try the fish ball, fish dumpling, and rice rolls. It's the right amount to share with three people and each person gets a taste of the three appetizers. My favorite had to be the rice balls, followed by the fish dumplings, and last the rice noodles. Of the toasts I have tried so far, I preferred the sweet toast dessert filled with milk as opposed to the truffle egg toast. For entree, I have to say, the fried chicken with the omelet egg is a must try. Next would be the Hainese chicken. Then third with be the sorrowful rice, which is two fried eggs and bbq pork. Everything was so flavorful. You have to try the milk teas. If you prefer sweet, go for the ice bear milk tea, but if you like a bit bitter, go for the hot version and add sugar to your preference. Overall, food came at a fast pace, service attentive. There is plenty of seating end even seating in a private dining space for a larger group of 10 or so in the back of the restaurant. I brought half imperial concubine chicken and a box of duck neck. The duck neck was well braised, not too spicy, and not overcooked. The chicken was seasoned with spices, and the meat was soft, even the chicken breast was juicy.
