    Crab Rangoons
    Daniel P.

On a Wednesday afternoon, it's pretty quiet, but word is that they have karaoke nights? My boss recommended this place for its wings but he should have recommended the shrimp rangoons cause those were delicious.

    Szechuan spicy chicken combo

Japanese katsu curry item was in the rice plate category--there was no rice. Thinnest curry sauce if any. Potatoes were not cooked through. Hard. Katsu wasn't that bad but it's a katsu curry rice plate that had no rice and terrible curry. Szechuan spicy chicken. Sauce was so thin. Bland. Barely tasted anything but steamed chicken. No spice at all. Pork fried rice was just rice with a splash of soy. Maybe a nugget of pork fat. No flavor, no onion or anything to give it an ounce of food flavor. Terrible food tonight. Wish I had ordered a tv dinner over this meal. No one was trying tonight for their 9pm take out crowd. Crab Rangoon was just okay. Sadly the better part of the disappointing meal. If their sauces and curry had a boost it would've meant the world to me! Way to give just 12% to the meal effort. I have liked other options there so I'm willing to try again on things they can actually do. They clearly need to put in more effort and research into making the things on their menu that most Chinese take out places don't do. That's why I was intrigued. But you should stick to the normal east coast Chinese take out here as they miss the mark on the interesting items

Food tasted like dish washing soap or cleaning product. The food was bland , the chicken wings and ribs were tough and rubbery under cooked . I ordered from Uber Eats and was blindsided ewww!! Wouldn't recommend..

I love good Chinese food - having eaten it for more than 4 decades. This wasn't good, in fact it was barely edible. Everything was just dumped together in the box, the pork fried rice was dry, the beef teriyaki was tough, and don't even get me started on the General Gau's Chicken. The only decent item was the crab rangoons. I ordered through a delivery app, the driver was very good, wish I could say the same about my meal. I realize that I paid more to have it delivered than if I had picked it up, but dang - that was a waste of $30. This should be a miss!

Sweet and Sour Chicken that was just fingers with sweet sauce from a jar, dry rice and old ribs

Food was great, hot and sour soup was the worst hot and sour soup I've ever had. But the food was top notch Chinese food. Soup was no good.

My family felt ill after a meal from Mr. Chan's. Maybe we caught it on a bad night (it was for us!) Will not return.

The inside of Hakata Ramen is tight and can get pretty busy, but the vibe is what you'd expect for the area. The staff is honestly the best part. They are welcoming and move fast. I have been here a handful of times and it is a reliable choice for comfort food. They have these daily bento specials with ramen, sushi, and appetizers that look like a great deal. I tried, but they are intriguing. The main downside is the broth quality compared to the price. There are definitely more authentic ramen spots in the city if you are a purist. You can tell the base is not a homemade tonkatsu broth, which is a bit of a letdown for what they charge. Still, it is a decent spot for a quick meal. * Tempura Ramen (7/10): The tempura is a total highlight because it is served on a separate plate to keep it from getting soggy, though the broth itself is fairly standard. We also had to wait outside since there wasn't room inside the restaurant. Additionally, they have a policy where you must order 1 dish per person or they will not seat you. You order at the front and then are seated with a beeper to pick up your food. The menu is pretty limited, but the dishes was overall seasoned nicely. The Spicy Roasted Miso Avocado Sushi Roll was better than the roasted miso avocado sushi since the best part of the dish was the spicy crumble on top. However, the sushi was oddly sized (too big for one bite, but too small and fell apart for 2 bites). The ramen was also differently flavored. The garlic was too overpowering and the texture of the noodles to other vegetables in the dish was offputting to me. However, all the dishes were presented/plated well. I probably wouldn't go back, but it was conveniently located.

Though not a Thai restaurant, their Tom Yum noodle soup is just the best. They let you choose the type of noodle you want which is really nice if you want to customize and have a preference for noodles. Other favorites I recommend from the menu are the fried oysters and the green tea smoothie. Wish I could recommend more since it's such a big menu but I keep sticking to the same things so I can't personally speak to them. I started with chicken wings assuming they'd be actual chicken wings in line with say, Chinese restaurants. Instead, I got the cheap breaded, seemingly frozen, garbage sold at a dime a dozen pizza/sub places. They are low quality nonsense...and $11. Hilarious. I also got the rib eye beef and enoki ramen noodles. Listen, there is roughly 5lbs of it. 3 adults can share it. But Quincy has endless options for authentic Asian food and that's what we want--quality over quantity, Asian food with fresh, quality ingredients. See the pictures. It is a mound of overcooked mush with extremely/borderline inedible fatty meat and equally mushy enoki mushrooms hidden here and there. When I know for a fact that I could cook a stir fry ramen that is ten times better than what I just paid $20 for, there is zero reason to return to your restaurant, and I won't.
