I love Mr Chan's when they make your food fresh...I'm there about 2X a month and always order small containers of rice, beef with peppers, shrimp chop suey, chicken wings and boneless ribs..Sometimes it's the best Chinese ever and other times I'm like "damn" it's pre made. The chicken wings are sometimes marinated perfectly and other times they lack flavor. The boneless ribs are the same way. It's expensive so I wish they were consistent!! PS. I never order the plates, I know they are less expensive but I feel like those are always pre made. I do love you thought Mr Chan's. read more

Hello, I have order from this restaurant a few but, today is my last time. I ordered two different appetizers combos and shrimp fried rice which was scattered with straight long brown or black hairs gross!!. I took a picture which I shared with uber eats. Beautiful restaurant! Looked clean and sleek. I grabbed some takeout and it was overall pretty good. Not overly salty, so I added my own extra condiments and spice. Seemed fresh and veggies in my chicken dish were nice and crispy. And an awesome price for a lunch special. Less then $13.00 for a huge meal. I'll try it again. read more

Six of us on a Sat nite sat down immediately. Place was empty and I may know why. Tiny bar fits about 6 people was full. Our waitress took her sweet time ...not like the place was hopping ! Got a few big plates and a few apps. Beef fried rice was fresh but absolutely loaded with MSG ! Now I do like my food seasoned and love a sprinkle of salt but this was wayyyy too salty. The dumplings were relatively good but rather cold and hard. Waitress somehow went MIA and we got another waiter midstream ??? This place has potential but need better waitstaff and hold back on the MSG ! On a foot note , my stomach wasn't too pleased with the food either. I've driven by this restaurant many times, wondering. Then my son said "let's try it" so we went in. Tidy, clean, efficient, and the lunch specials are - in a word - huge! (= good deal because I eat a lot...). Not fancy or creative but solid and worth the dining experience. We'll be back. read more

i ordered takeout/delivery at 8:00 PM was told 1/2 hour to 45 minutes for delivery. I live 8 minutes away by car, I called back one hour into waiting for my order was told sorry for the delay the driver will be there in 10 minute. Then 15 minutes later I called back saying at this point I would be willing to accept the delivery whenever it arrives only if they discount it for the extended delay and inconvenience plus the fact that my blood sugar was dropping precipitously! The female on the phone refused & said her manager the owner Walter Chan wasn't in (which I later found out was a lie from a patron dining there at the time). Needless to say the order was cancelled the driver showed up & left with the food & no tip 10 minutes later. I stopped to pick up an order on way home. Ordered off the website. When picked up order receipt showed higher prices. When I inquired, they told me they updated their paper menu... Pu pu platter for one is not enough food to share. I would recommend upgrading it if you plan to do so. All the food was great - especially crab Rangoon because I am not a big fan of those but these were awesome. All the food came out great but I substituted the fried shrimp of the pu pu platter for more crab Rangoon and I didn't receive extra nor the shrimp. The platter felt a little skimpy. read more

Good food but I feel it is a bit overpriced. I live in Milton, and would come here if I wanted some quick Chinese food to go. Mr. Chan's serves Americanized Chinese food. If you want something more authentic I would recommend Chinatown. I am an ABC and come here when I have a craving for Americanized Chinese food :-) While I feel the prices are higher than other Chinese places, I do feel the portions are decent. I have had the appetizer combination, which includes chicken wings, egg rolls, and crab rangoons. I've also had the pot stickers, which they call "raviolis". All very good and comforting. For entrees I have had the lobster sauce with fried rice. I have had better, and would not order that particular dish again. I also have had the ma po tofu, which was good (it resembled a bit to the lobster sauce dish). We ordered our to-go items there, and got our piping hot food in about 15 minutes. The order I got, Seafood fried rice, was horrible. Their menu said that broccoli, shrimp, calamari, string beans,carrots, and rice. The only items I got within the rice was peas,hard to see carrots and some slimy bits that I assume was some kind of sponge fish. The food was fine but prices on their web site are way off. I ended up paying $30 more than what I should have because of these falsely advertised prices. Sent an email through their website to inquire when they would fix their prices and never got a response. I'll spend my money elsewhere and hope others do too. read more

They did a great job on renovation, love the place, it came out so nice and neat, looks like a totally different restaurant lol but the food still so tasty as usual! I have dined in twice and take-out maybe 15 times. The inside is nice, good location and bar crew is friendly. The food quality is pretty good and the dine in experience is great. There is a significant issue with the amount of food provided, ingredient mix and value. I recently ordered chicken with cashews, with upsize and rice, for about $20. I got home and found a box of nearly 70% celery, with very little chicken or cashews. This has been a common experience with all of my orders, and clearly a cost savings approach, for an already expensive charge. An extra $4 is charged for one box of white rice, no matter how many entrees you order. I continued to order thinking the last issue was a mistake, but its been consistent and thus the review. read more

I spent 82.00 for delivery and the food was mediocre at best. Beef lo mein noodles were mushy and vegetables were non existent, dumplings and spring roll were mushy too.. the rice had a bit of burnt smell and beef and brocolli was way overcooked and starchy. I hardly ever post on here. I just had takeout delivered from Mr. Chan's because they were advertising free delivery. I opened an order of Peking ravioli that I paid $8.95 for and there were 3 of them. So I called them and, unbelievably the guy who answered the phone told me that they did that because they need to pass the cost of free delivery to the customer. I'm not making this up. So I asked for a refund and he told me to come down there with my receipt and they would think about it. I've been getting food from those guys for years. What a disgrace. read more

Tried Mr Chan's for the first time last night. It is priced than some other restaurants. Ordered my go to test, chicken wings and chicken lo mein. Both were really good and not greasy. Wings were cooked perfectly, chicken was still juicy. Lo mein didn't have as much sauce as other places so it tasted lighter. Delivery was fast. Will definitely try more from here. read more

last night was the jubilee premiere night for ALL of the Chinese restaurants to make many Yen. Both of my Chinese restaurants were closes (Horrible decision) so I found Mr. Chan's in Milton: I went to order the food and was told 2 hour wait, However I was called within 1. hour so that wasn't an issue at all. When I got Mr. Chan's food home and opened it up it looked very good. All portions were bountiful including the Szechuan Spicy beef. As we partook of the chow, we noticed that there was absolutely very little flavor at all. I was hoping for the traditional savory palate result but instead seems to taste everything as Sweet. I hate sweet in my food...save it for the desserts. The entire meal was tasteless. The cost being $82 was also disappointing for my wallet. Never again will I eat there or for that fact chinese food for New Years eve. Sad because that was always a tradition in America...I guess Covid finally ruined that too. In closing, I found the Chinese cookies were the highlight of the meal. I don't understand how this restaurant survives, But then again Americans love mediocrity...Just look at who elected our political leaders. read more

Almost everything I've tried here has been great but the only thing I didn't care for was the pork fried rice so minus one star. The service is quick here and they have an extensive menu. I just received absolutely horrible service from Mr Chan's! I made a fairly large order(almost $70.00 worth of food). On their website, there was a very clear spot to write special instructions. I clearly wrote, in capital letters, "NO GREEN PEPPERS". How did my order arrive? Riddled with green peppers! I then called to complain and got accused by the employee of writing my message in the wrong place on the order. Really??? I explained to the employee that their website allowed me to leave a message in the box marked, 'message/instructions'. If after doing so, they don't actually receive that message, it is not my problem but theirs. As the customer, I don't appreciate being blamed for their websites inadequacies. I will never order from this place again. Oh, by the way, the second entree was a scallop dish that was loaded with onions and peppers and had very few scallops. Been seeing their $10 lunch buffet for a while now so I've decided to try it. The food you check off on a paper and they'll bring it to you. I thought it was those typical buffet where you go up and get it yourself. However I was a little disappointed by the food though. Chicken fingers are 95% batter with a very tiny piece of chicken in it. General gaos chicken for some reason is very sweet compare to other places. And the egg roll oh man I took one bite and I couldn't even finish it. It's $10 for a reason though am I right haha. I however did like their fried chicken wings and beef and broccoli though. Just moved to Quincy, and had dinner with my husband at Mr.Chan's yesterday. We ordered pupu platter, pork fried rice, General Gau's chicken. Everything was so yum and fresh. We also had mai tai and lychee martini, it was the best mai tai we had so far. The waiter was so friendly and attentive, even though it was so busy last night, seems like he had to take care of the bar too, but he always had a big smile. Thank you. And they have karaoke and live music every week, my husband loves to sing, so we'll be back ;) Oh and I believe that was the owner who we talked with for a little while when we were leaving, he's very nice too. read more

My sister and I ordered our food online through Grubhub. And of course like always grubhub gives us estimated time for the food to arrive. We decided to run errands since it said it won't arrive till 6:25 to 6:30. So we had plenty of time we had to run errands and pick up our little brother from school. With that saying, we were on our way home and it was about 5:45 that we received a call from our delivery man and he said he's outside. We were stunned at how fast it was but we were still on the way probably about 5 minutes away. We explained to him that we were around 2 to 5 minutes away and if he could wait. He said sure but with an attitude. So from there, we were less than a minute away and he called saying that he was busy and he needs to go back because the restaurant was busy. And of course we understood. But we were very close by and he would rather leave our food in the cold. Though we understand the situation and it's something we weren't able to control, but he didn't have to be rude to us. Food was good though. But their attitude is awful. This wasn't the first time. I have been a patron of Chans for since 2000 and I have to say the quality of the food has become worse since they became a restaurant. The food on most days taste old. I suggest that they re-vamp their cooking. I would suggest instead of focusing on quick cooking they should focus on cooking fresh. they are a restaurant so act like one. people won't mind waiting for the food as long as it is fresh and good tasting and consistent. Awful food and RUDE customer service. I'm a vegetarian. And was happy Mr Chan's offered vegetarian lunch specials. I asked for vegetable lo mein and fried rice, which what was listed. When I confirmed that the rice didn't have pork or any type of meat in it, the woman on the phone said $2.00 more, that's a substitution (in a super rude manner). When I argued that it doesn't make sense to me to list a vegetarian meal that comes with rice, that I would assume to be vegetarian, the price listed should be the price actually paid. She continued to argue that the lo mein VEGETARIAN lunch order comes with PORK fried rice, and it cost $2.00 to have regular rice. I don't understand why you would list a vegetarian lunch dish with pork fried rice, and charge and extra two dollars to not include pork. TERRIBLE business skills. And the woman on the phone didn't seem to care if I ordered from there or not. Will not return. read more
