I've had both order-ahead and walkins handled with the utmost attention - no forgotten or messed up orders. The cake's bread: moist, light and the right amount of sweetness. The cream: light, delicately flavored (the cardamom one I had today by accident was heaven, looked like a regular white vanilla cake), no waxy after-taste, sweetened ever so lightly that its ok to eat another one. I usually order larger than needed cos I know even the adult guests will want another slice and most leave with the name of this place. This is the type of local small business our community should rally behind especially through their remodel as they clearly aim to please and are working hard. After living in the bay area for over 3 decades and always seeking vegetarian-friendly Indian bakeries, I wanted to write a review to express how overjoyed my family is to have this amazing unassuming little bakery open up virtually next door to us and a very talented and gracious owner to go with it! Apart from the pastry puffs that we stop by to pick up every so often, we recently placed an order for an eggless Strawberry Shortcake. The owner turned it around quickly, was reasonably-priced, delightfully airy and moist cake crumb, not overly sweet, and had a great cake to whip cream ratio with delicious strawberries all over including the perfect fruit garnish on top. This cake was to celebrate my diabetic dad's birthday. With a family who is *very* health-conscious, cakes are eaten sparingly and a small cake can easily last a week or two before the leftovers are regretfully thrown away. However, Mr. Cake's creation was well-enjoyed by all and virtually gone by the next day which is a testament to how good he is at his craft. We have multiple birthdays and celebrations coming up over the next few weeks and I know where I'm going to be placing our cake orders moving forward. Our biggest problem now is to make sure we don't break our weighing scales with having a place like this next door :D But really, try this place out. You will not regret it. read more

The decorations and colors were also spot on, as per the request from kids. Overall the cakes were fantastic considering they were gluten and dairy free and were impossible to distinguish with other cakes. I texted Santosh around 5pm the night before, after going back and forth in my head what to get her, and after confirming the flavor and size, ordered an 8" cake for her with a personalized message.
