Niloofar, the owner of Emma Cakery, is the only person I ever reach out to for any event where I need a cake. She is an extraordinary baker and designs cakes and several other desserts beautifully. You can really see that she takes her time and bakes with love. Not only are her cakes beautifully designed but they are also super yummy and tasty. She lets you choose from a variety of unique flavors/fillings, so you're not stuck with basic flavors. Alongside her talents in being a baker, Niloofar is very professional and provides superb customer service. She ensures that her customer's are 100% satisfied because I definitely always am. She's always so patient with me, because whenever I have any cake inquiries, I tend to bombard her with a bunch of questions, and she is always so sweet no matter how many questions I have for her. For every inquiry, the cake I ask for is exactly what I get from her. She's always spot-on with all the details! So far, Niloofar has done a cake + cookies + cupcakes for both my son's baptism and first birthday. She also has done a cake for my son's cake smash photo shoot. She also did a cake for my 21st birthday. As you can tell, I can count on her for all my cake needs and she never lets me down. Rest-assured, quality is always there, both outside and inside of the cake... and of course in the baker herself. You will be in the absolute best of hands with this wonderful team. Her Cardamom cake is easily one of the best I've ever had (I'm a wedding planner, so that's saying something!) but more than that, she cares so unbelievably much about her clients! Last year I accidentally confirmed the wrong date for our cake delivery (yikes), and when I realized and called them in a panic while AT the event (during cocktail hour!), they had a freshly baked cake to me in no time, ready to be served as our dessert course. The client had no idea. She saved me and still served the best cake I've had! TY TY A MILLION TIMES and please book this vendor!!! read more

This was the first time I've ordered a custom cake from anywhere. After scouring Yelp and Instagram, I was attracted to the beautiful cakes on Emma Cakery's profile. The communication was quick and very professional. She gave me several options to choose from (budget-wise) and took all of my inspiration pictures to heart. The cake was ready exactly on time and way cuter than I had hoped for! Not only was it super adorable, it was delicious. I am not a huge fan of red velvet usually (too sweet), but my husband really loves it so that's the flavor we picked. When we cut into the cake, everyone wanted a second piece. It wasn't overly sweet and paired perfectly with the cream cheese inside. I wish that I was able to get a 2nd piece, my husband didn't even get a piece since everyone ate theirs so quickly! We can't wait to order another cake or dessert from Emma Cakery! It was also the perfect addition to our Under the Sea theme. I couldn't imagine anything more perfect. read more

She is sooooo beyond talented and sooo sweet which makes it just so much more enjoyable planning with her for the special day. I hired Niloofar for my son's first bday and his Baptism which were on the same day. She is a great listener and she def will make your imagination come to reality. She is truly an artist. Niloofar was very accommodating and accepted my order very last minute. She understood my requirements and made a very beautiful and a perfect cake for the occasion. I cannot express how satisfied and happy I am with the quality and the taste of cakes and cupcakes from Emma Cakery. I have ordered two cakes, one for my daughter's first tooth celebration and one for her first birthdate. The first tooth cake was perfect. She delivered it in such a short notice. For the birthday cake, I found many designs on Pinterest and then shared all of them with her. She was very patient and professional. At the end, we combined good ideas from couple different designs. She gave me very good ideas. She baked an awesome cake and made the birthday party a perfect one. I couldn't believe someone can deliver that design exactly as it looked on Pinterest. I ordered her cake 2 weeks prior due to the fact my cake lady canceled out last minute when I booked her two months in advance due to health concerns..anyways it costed me another $100 more and she misspelled my daughter's name which I had to pay $350 plus delivery fee for another $35.. after cutting into the cake it came out dry and I requested the banana nut flavor. I hardly ever have to make a review on yelp but this time I'm very disappointed.. I did ask her to have cream cheese frosting with the banana walnut cake and she said she's not able to do that because it wouldn't taste good. I mean if your the customer and your paying that much for a cake, you should be able to accommodate to that customer's requests. Yet she said no it wouldn't taste good so she wouldn't do those flavor combinations. Sorry but after today I would not go back here again and hopefully my cake lady's health will get back to normal so she can make more cakes. Plus the details on the bumblebees are rushed. Im giving 2 starts just for the delivery service. read more

One of our famous signature design is using fresh flowers with gold touches on our fresh cream cakes. We can match our fancy sweets such as, cupcakes, custom cookies, cake pops, cakecicles , dipped oreos, donuts, macarons, mini desserts, dipped strawberries , donut/strawberry/macaron tower with your cake to create a unique themed sweet table. My Name is Niloofar, I continue my education in Chemistry to get my master degree but I was always passionate about baking and obsessed with creating art. I found my education extremely relevant to my work, a few years after graduation I finally listened to my heart and have started my own cake business. Emma Cakery was named after my daughter, Emma. I am a proud "cake designer" who "nature" is always my inspiration.

Also, she was so accommodating by making this cake on a Thursday when her availability is strictly weekends. However, if I knew that asking for an accommodation would mean my needs wouldn't have been met I would have looked elsewhere. I ordered a 7 inch buttercream cake but instead received fondant which went uneaten. I went back to review the invoice she sent and I realized there was a portion that said fondant but it also said buttercream so I just ignored it because I had no problems with the previous cakes I had received. This cake was for my friends son so I was so sad when they complained about the toughness of the fondant. I should have contacted her prior to make sure it would be buttercream but I believe she also could have let me know she would have been diverging from what I requested. Especially because $220 isnt cheap :(. The inside of the cake was great!

I decided to reach out and see if Nicole could help me with our cake. To start off, the issues with communication was just as bad as the 1st time around. I reached out to the business via Instagram on 9/26 and got a response back quickly. I informed the cake's pick up date and sent over 3 designs that I was potentially looking at. I ended up settling with the pastel, drip, macaron, & sprinkles design [see attached photo]. A quote was promised the following day [9/27] and NOTHING WAS RECEIVED. Nicole did reach out 2 days later with the pricing and I was ready to place my order and get the ball rolling. NO RESPONSE. I dm again asking for a cake flavor listing so I can finalize the order and process whatever cost that is needed. AGAIN, CRICKETS! I am forced to reach out yet again on 9/30 asking if she was going to be able to make the cake adding that important details and payment had not yet been able to be finalized. At that point I finally get a response. The entire process of working with this baker is just more stressful than it should. An email was sent to confirm cake info and the filling listed was incorrect. Then 2 days prior to pick up, I have to message Nicole again about an address as to where I need to pick up my order. She then sends another revised email. Cake- My husband was left with the job of picking up the cake since I have an infant to attend to. He comes home with a cake that is nice BUT NOT WHAT I ORDERED. The drip design was nowhere to be found. At this point, I question whether or not the cake & the filling is even correct. I am super let down by what was delivered, even after all the detailed discussion with Nicole. I have dm'd her through IG & sent her texts regarding my disappointment so we'll see how that goes. I'll update my review if/when I hear back from someone regarding this matter.

My virtual baby shower was boba themed so my friend sent a picture of one of the graphics my sister made for me for the baby shower as inspiration for the boba cake. The cake (picture attached) looked just like the graphic and was perfect! I liked that she used an actual boba straw for the top and that it was very detailed and cute. Everyone who was able to see it online thought it was a perfect boba cake. For flavorings, my friend and husband chose the lemon with raspberry (I think) filling. It was one of the hottest days in the Silicon Valley (over 100 degrees) but the cake kept fine in the car and sitting out. The cake itself was moist, not too sweet and had the right amount of lemon flavoring. The raspberry part was also very good. Overall, no complaints about the texture or flavor of the cake. I'm not the hugest fan of fondant so I'm not the best judge but the overall icing was fine as well. Overall, very impressed with the style, design and execution of the cake. The flavor was also good!

However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. I also had a very specific vision for my wedding cake - I wanted a detailed three-tier cake with buttercream vintage flowers. We also ordered a plain sheet cake with the same flavors to ensure that we had enough slices for our guests. I worked with Fariba during the ordering process and they were great. The poke kind of reminded me of Basa Seafood in SF, which I wasn't a fan of, and Basa is also known for cheaper prices. MoDo only offers tuna poke and I am a salmon girly. I'm not sure if they plan to expand their selections, but if you wish to try their poke bowls, get the half n half. BTW, I believe staff should be mindful of the rice temperature. My friend visited on a BOGO day and said her bowl was super hot. By the time she arrived home, some of the poke was half-cooked. I also came on a BOGO day but did not experience this.

But please just recognize when a mistake is made instead of trying to convince someone they're imagining things when the food is clearly undercooked. The remade crepe came back looking perfect and tasting delicious. I wanted to give this 3 stars for the the attitude, but my love for the food and that incredibly sweet girl at the front kept it at a 4.

I ordered my 55th birthday cake from Emma Cakery, and it exceeded all my expectations. I requested a custom design with banana and walnut flavors, and the cake came out exactly as I had envisioned. The moment I saw it, my heart filled with happiness. The cake was elegant, beautiful, and truly the centerpiece of my dessert table. Many of my guests stopped to admire it and took pictures with it throughout the evening. After five hours, we finally cut the cake, and it tasted just as incredible as it looked -- super fresh, moist, and absolutely delicious. Some of my guests even asked for extra slices to take home!
