Wow. Move4U deserves the 5 star rating they have. My husband went through Yelp to get quotes from 4 different movers for our move. He chose Move4U because they responded quickly, seemed transparent with pricing/expectations and of course, offered the best quote. They quoted us for 4 hours and showed up on time (9am). We have a lot of big pieces of furniture that are a pain to get through doorways and are heavy. In the past, movers have said they "can't" or "won't" move specific pieces because it won't fit when in the end after a bit of back & forth they get it done. With Move4U they were completely self sufficient. They quickly broke down furniture, protected with moving pads, and dissembled doors or closets to get things through. They HUSTLED. Within 3 hours we moved our entire 3 bd, 1.5 bath coach house into our home 15 minutes away (an hour ahead of schedule which meant a less expensive bill). They were careful with our furniture, helpful, and positive. Moving is not a positive experience for me. It's a lot of work and comes with uncertainty of a new place (for me, at least). Great communication, very friendly movers, and they did an excellent job with not damaging my house or furniture. They even got all my furniture up my very narrow staircase which I was thankful for. PLEASE NOTE that the estimate does not include materials which almost cost me $100 more to my bill (shrink wrap, tape, etc). I wasn't very happy about the fact the that guys didn't have the right tools to take apart my daughters bed nor enough space in the truck for all my stuff so I was charged extra for them to come back the following day, which I didn't agree with but I was too tired to argue. It should have been complimentary as that has nothing to do with me not being prepared. That was my only complaint. read more

Very professional and friendly movers. Had a complex move from Chicago to Indiana with 5 stops (house, to apartment, to storage unit, back to apartment, back to original house). They were happy to work with me and had reasonable prices. I even had them add a 6th stop last minute and they were kind enough to do it. All our furniture arrived damage free. This was by far my best moving experience and i have moved a great deal with various companies. This team was excellent at communicating, professional, prompt and got the job done with no excuses and the customer in mind. They treated all my items even better than i would have myself. In the course of the move there were a few challenges. Most teams would have just left the issue for me to resolve but their leadership jumped in and spent an hour resolving the issue. They also took the time to repair a damaged item that was not precious or a priority. This team was also refreshingly courteous and customer focused in addition to hard working. I found Move4U from a Yelp search, and I am very happy with the service they provided. The quote was fair and in line with the industry standard . I had a company quote me a cheaper price for two men , but Move 4u offered four men, which I figured would save time. The move was so quick. They didn't damage any of my doors or walls. All of my belongings remained in perfect condition after the move. Also, I like that the company didn't try to nickel and dime me for moving materials. I had such a great experience with Move4U. Easy to book online, great communication prior to the move. They sent a detailed quote before booking. The team communicated well in the days approaching my move. I had an early morning move - the 3 man team called when they were about 10 minutes away and arrived on time. They communicated thoroughly throughout the move itself - they gave a time estimate after initially seeing my belongings and updated me throughout the move on how much longer they expected it to take. They protected my items well and also suggested certain items that I could take in my car to avoid having to pay for the extra materials to protect them. All three gentlemen were very professional and efficient. My move came in WAY under the quoted price, which was much appreciated! I will note that I likely overestimated how many boxes I would have for the quote, as I figured that was better than underestimating. The efficiency of the team definitely helped lower my cost as well - they moved my studio apartment belongings (I had a lot of stuff crammed into that studio apartment) across the city in 2.5 hours. They were very open with communication, showed up when they said they were going to and did a fantastic job moving all my belongings. Dmitrii, Taras and Oleg were absolutely fantastic. However the move took much longer than expected and also the price ended up being double what the quoted estimate was, when the hourly rate was higher than average to begin with. I will never ever use another mover again. These guys are the absolute best. Gave me a transparent and very reasonable quote, and then showed up on time and did the entire move lightning fast. They have it down to a literal science. And everything they moved was secure and safe. I also should add that moving from one city apartment building to another is no easy feat when it comes to using a freight elevator. But these guys were experienced, so it was no problem at all to work within the buildings' guidelines. So glad I called them!! read more

I had a pretty last-minute move, and after reading reviews for Move4U I gave them a try--I'm very glad I did! The three guys arrived a little after 9 and started hauling my things quickly and efficiently. They had the truck all loaded up in just over an hour! We had a little scare at my new apartment building (the level on which the guys needed to move things in from was flooded), so I was pretty panicked about how they would manage to move everything in, but they were very experienced and confident that they would get it done--and they did, very quickly using just two passenger elevators instead of the freight elevator. These guys were amazing! My husband and I moved from our 2 bedroom apartment to a house outside of the city, and they were so efficient in the move. We sadly did pick a day where it was cold and raining, but they still kept their work to the highest quality. They made sure all our big furniture was wrapped and protected from the rain and in the moving truck. What I really appreciated was very they started moving, one man did tell me it would most likely be 4-4.5 hours when over the phone I was quoted 2-3 hours. Which I understand because what you provide over the phone is an estimate, but he was right on the ball when everything was moved into the house, 4 hours exactly. Especially with the weather, for them to get it done in 4 hours was impressive. They were great and I would use them again and I'm recommending to everyone I know! read more

We sent them an entire list of the furniture we were expecting moved from our 2 bdrm and paid a deposit for FOUR MEN to show up the next day (LATE!) and say they can't complete the job. Couldn't get their story straight- first said they needed an additional person then had the nerve to say they felt it was an unsafe work environment? I'd love to hear which part of our Black queer household could've possibly made them uncomfortable besides their anti blackness or homophobia. Amazing service and great price--I would give more than 5 stars if I could. From the beginning, Paul was extremely responsive and I had the move scheduled and the deposit paid within 24 hours. Neil and two other young men were there just after 2pm, and finished the entire process by 4pm. It ended up being exactly the price they quoted me, on the lower end of the range they'd provided, and all of my things were in the same condition at the end of the move. I was so skeptical using a moving company for the first time, but they went above and beyond my expectations. This was the least stressful move I've ever gone through, in large part thanks to Move4U. This company is a disaster. Unfortunately I read the reviews and thought they would be competent movers. Oh boy was I wrong. I experienced incompetent workers that seemed to have no idea how to move things. They broke a desk and compensated me with $80-hardly the value of the desk. The person in charge said he would try to fix it but no effort was made. And that's the broken furniture they told me about. There was also a cabinet that was taken apart for no reason-broke the pieces that went together because they didn't know how to disassemble. I suggested taking the pin out to remove a door but they unscrewed all the hinges-I think any mover would know that. It was raining that day and I asked that they not walk on the new carpeting with wet feet. They said I didn't tell them I had new carpeting so they didn't have material to put down. Does that mean if your floors are not new they take no care? I could go on about other misfortunes but you get the idea. Oh yea and double the price quoted because took 13 hours. read more
