The seasonal we had was inventive and delicious. That old fashioned was honestly excellent - peep how they froze the cherry in the rock. Cute! Burger - great Cheesesteak - great with some flair (I wanna say maybe some gochugang somewhere in there?) Fries - really good and plentiful Service - if they didn't shine elsewhere (and they do) they'd really shine here. All helpful and witty. We only had to wait a few minutes - 5 minutes maybe - before they called us in to be seated. Once seated we were served water and then they began taking drink orders. Since we were there for Sunday Brunch we waited a bit for the stragglers to arrive before ordering our meals. Service in general was excellent. Very timely without hovering. I ordered their Double Bloody Mary, a drink they are well known for around these parts. It's a drink and a meal all in one! The Bloody Mary was decent. Not the best I've ever had, but still tasty. Included, on skewers were two small biscuit sliders with egg, ham and cheese, three sausage meatballs, two large bacon wrapped potato chunks, a couple of pickled peppers, a chunk of apple, two blue cheese stuffed olives, a chunk of cheese, ham and salami. It also contained a big celery and carrot stick. It was supposed to have a dill pickle spear but I guess they forgot that or ran out. With it you get your choice of vodkas. I chose Tito's. This was all served in a quart size Mason Jar! Everyone else ordered other items and they all seemed to enjoy not only their drinks but their food as well. Salmon Scramble was really enjoyed by the son in law and stuffed French toast was great according to my wife. Several ordered the Breakfast Burrito in a Bowl and enjoyed it. They have an extensive breakfast menu available for brunch so a second visit will be in order. All in all it was a nice way to celebrate a birthday and eat brunch. Well worth a visit.

The dining room was elegant yet cozy, with great lighting. The staff was also very friendly and our waiter was very helpful in aiding our choice. We ordered the Focaccia bread, the salmon momtadito and the tonnarelli as our entree. The focaccia was the only dissapointing item as it was very basic in my opinion, which isn't bad but just nothing exciting to write about. The appetizer, the salmon montadito, was probably my favorite item of the night. It was served on focaccia bread and drizzled with a truffle honey butter and sat upon a mascarapone yogurt. It was elegant and it was incredibly flavorful. The sweetness of the truffle honey butter was a great contrast to the salmon itself, and all melted together to make an exceptional appetizer. The tonnarelli was a pasta dish we split and was also very tasty. The pasta itself was a thicker spaghetti like pasta served with plenty of crab. It was tasty and it satisfied and I'd likely order it again as I will be back when my sister's visit. All in all, a great restaurant to spend a nice night right in the heart of Bellingham!

We came in for an early dinner so we were really able to enjoy the rustic ambience of this restaurant all by ourselves. As soon as we sat down the waitress was attentive and ready to take our order. I order the garden party off their cocktail menu. Snap pea gin, bay leaf vermouth, genepy, saline and pea shoot? I really was feeling adventurous with this one, a regrettable mistake. The first sip I thought I was drinking sea water with a touch of olive oil in it. I never send back drinks although I was close with this one, I sipped it throughout my meal. One critique I have about the cocktail menu is that every drink was over complicated with many exotic ingredients. There was nothing for someone who was looking for a simple craft cocktail. The table shared the Strawberry Panzanella, and once again I was accosted by an overwhelming salty and sour flavor. A traditional Italian salad consisting of grilled strawberry and focaccia croutons. The lemon vinaigrette dressing on this salad was salty and sour, and very overpowering. Unlike my drink we were unable to finish this one. I ordered the Roe Burger, which I had been really looking forward to trying, thankfully this one did not disappoint. Two smash burger patties that were thin, crispy, and cooked to perfection with slices of cheddar cheese on top are then placed on a bed of classic burger toppings. Tomato, pickles, and iceberg lettuce. This burger was served with crispy fries and garlic aioli. After my fist few bites my mind was beginning to change about this restaurant. We also shared the Reuben Croquettes. A super creative and unique spin on one of my personal favorite appetizers. These little fried pocket were filled with a delicious mixture of cheese and shredded corned beef. They were garnished with a small slice of pickle which was a great touch. For dessert we decided to try the hazelnut torte which was fantastic. It had a nice crisp outer layer with a soft gooey center. Lovely flavor and texture that ended our experience at Roe wonderfully. In conclusion our experience at Roe had its ups and downs but I left feeling satisfied. If you are looking for a unique culinary experience I would give this restaurant a try.

I had one of the delicious, large, mushroom burgers that came with a very nice cheesy, homemade chicken soup. The soup was really good too. The service was amazing and the server was very friendly, welcoming and sweet. The burger had plenty of veggies and mushrooms. I liked the burger and it wasn't greasy at all. The hamburger they use was really good. This will be our go to restaurant when we at hiking near highway 20. It is very close to Baker River Road. Plenty of parking and the diner is on highway 20 west of Concrete. Best place for hikers to eat on highway 20. The cook came by and let us taste some sweet bread she made. It was delicious too. I think they plan to be open for breakfast too.

They have a new check in where you just use a kiosk to enter your phone number, then get an estimated wait time. This was great - we just strolled around the hardware store until we got pinged. We'll definitely be back and will just stick to the normal menu.

But the reviews were good and it had a big menu. Walking in, we were greeted with a table filled with fresh baked bread for sale, and a display case full of cakes. The server welcomed us in - they were quite busy, but there was a large empty table in the middle of the room that we were able to sit at. I think the server's name was Cass - but I can't quite recall. Once she learned that it was our first time there, she gave us the full run down: All the bread is made in house The cakes are all Grammy's recipes, which she taught to her niece All the meat is cooked or smoked in house and - ham, turkey, beef etc The menu is large - almost overwhelming, but in a good way. Almost everything comes in half or full. I can't imagine anyone finishing a full meal here - their slogan is "bigger is better" and they really mean it. None of us were able to finish our meals and were left with the perfect amount for dinner later that evening. I ordered Whole Wheat toast with my breakfast and I'm not kidding when I say that it was the best toast I've ever had. I definitely would have bought a loaf to take home but you have to pre-order that one and it's only available on Thursdays :( Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go back!
