I myself was getting snows installed, not a huge job- but one they got done very quickly and at a great price- something that while meaningful isn't the end all, be all of something as safety sensitive as tires.

Summary of the issue On 2 April, my Sister purchased three used tires from Big B Tire shop. (Who sells someone three tires?) The tires provided were, in my view, unreasonably worn and potentially unsafe (each appeared to be below ~50% tread; one showed visible dry cracking; and at least one tire was manufactured in 2020). Immediately after installation, the vehicle developed a pronounced vibration/shaking at speeds above ~60 mph. Despite returning to your shop for rebalancing, the issue persisted. Your staff then advised that a wheel bearing needed replacement; however, an ASE-certified technician later confirmed the wheel bearing was not the cause and identified a warped tire as the likely source of the vibration. 2. Detailed timeline * Purchased/installed three used tires. Total paid: [$225]. * After purchase: Vehicle began shaking/vibrating at speeds above ~60 mph. * [Around 12 April]: Returned to shop for balancing. Issue remained. * [Around 13 April]: Returned again; staff stated the vehicle needed a new wheel bearing. * [14 April]: Wheel bearing was evaluated by an ASE-certified technician reported the bearing was fine and indicated a warped tire was the likely cause. * [15 April]: Returned tires to your shop. Tires were accepted back; however, a \$25 restocking fee was charged. 3. Safety concerns Tires are critical safety components. Selling tires with visible dry cracking, significant wear, or structural defects (e.g., warping) can create serious risks, including loss of control at highway speeds. In addition, the incorrect diagnosis and recommendation to replace a wheel bearing caused avoidable delay, inconvenience, and potential expense. Not to mention, when I was bringing them back after buying new ones there was about an 80 year old widow lady who was having similar issues and who had been there three times in the past week trusting these people to help her. It is very sad that there are companies like this still in operation. If it wasn't for me my sister would have blown $300 on a wheel bearing and prob $400 on labor to change out a good wheel bearing for an already good wheel bearing and still have the problem.

We got out and found it, so went to visit the tire center and see if they could help us. We dealt with Derek at the front who explained everything, tried to find the tires and get us a price. Caleb went out to the car with us to see if it was fixable. I didn't think it was, and that was fine. I knew we needed new tires at this point. I'd been trying to push it back as long as possible, through fall and winter, basically. Caleb chatted with us as we walked and was just nice to talk to. Derek quoted us as things taking a couple of hours to do, because it was a walk-in without an appointment. I told him as long as he could get us home in time to watch the Blazer playoff game, I'd be happy. That was my big request when it came to the time frame. Our tires are Michelin, rates for 80,000 miles, and we paid less than $400 for a set of 4. I'm a happy camper with that! The whole process didn't take nearly as long as originally thought. My husband and I went to share a hotdog and soda, walked over to St. Vinnie's and I found some great books to review in my blog. Score! This wasn't in my plans, but I'm not complaining. After that, we went shopping in Costco and the car was done just as we were finishing. Derek explained all the warranty information before handing over the keys. One of the things I loved about this experience was how quickly it all went. Yet it didn't feel rushed. Both Derek and Caleb were efficient while making each customer feel like they were the only ones there. Would I return? Most definitely. Derek and Caleb made this an excellent experience. Both listened to everything we said, answered questions, and were fast and efficient. Great customer service, in my opinion.
