WOW 10/10 I just left here and I already want to come back. I got the Campfire iced w/ oat milk and this is one of the best coffees I've had in a while. The Coconut Bibingka Latte is also a 10/10. The espresso is super smooth & I'm glad my drink wasn't overly sweet. The color was perfection! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! Customer service was helpful with the drink recs. Parking you have to pay for just a heads up. They also have plenty of seating in three separate rooms which is really cool. The vibes are are great I love the interior of the space and when I heard that their matcha was upgraded I had to give it a try. I ordered a regular size iced matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla syrup, total with tip it was $9 and some change. It was ok, the vanilla slightly overpowered the matcha so it wasn't as strong as I would like to to be. And for the price I don't think it was worth it. It's significantly better than it used to be though. This would be a good matcha for someone who likes a lighter matcha flavor/strength. I would stick to getting coffee here and skip the matcha. Service was great though everyone is very friendly! The matcha itself for me was 3 stars but if I had gotten a coffee it would probably have been 4 stars. read more

Got the iced matcha latte and my bf got one bra-zillion coconuts cold brew and a chocolate croissant. The matcha latte was sweet and had just enough caffeine for me to enjoy the San Diego Zoo nearby. My bf's cold brew was very strong and had a hint of coconut! The service was super friendly and they even toasted the croissant for us. We were excited to see such a unique menu of fun coffee drinks and came all the way here just to find out they were out of literally more than half of their menu items at 8am. We ended up opting for the regular crème brûlée latte and the coconuts cold brew, both of which were just okay. Giving this a 4 star because I haven't tried everything on the menu just yet but it's been so so yummy every time I go! My favorite is the creme brûlée latte. They have 3 different variations. I will suggest going earlier in the day as sometimes they do run out of the other items. It's a nice neighborhood to walk so sometimes I buy coffee and walk around for a bit. Inside, the vibe is pretty chill. Everyone does their own thing. Mostly working. There are a lot of plants so it's very pretty. The music is also pretty calm and vibey. Loved the pastry here. I honestly forgot exactly what it was, but I think it was an ube muffin topped with cheddar cheese. It was really unique and something I'd come back for on its own. The drinks were good, and the barista who helped us with suggestions was knowledgeable and even gave our dog a pup cup, which was a nice touch. The parking was easy, right next to the building which looks to be part coffee shop, part mixed-use space/office space. The staff was not overly friendly, and they were out of almost everything, which of course is a bummer since their menu is part of the calling to this place. I ended up ordering a cold brew plain with light ice. While it was not bad, it was not as excellent as other Mostra locations that I have been to. Visiting from Huntington Beach and stopped by around 10 AM -- pleasantly surprised it wasn't crowded, which I actually prefer. I chose this coffee shop because of the unique Filipino flavors like bibingka and turon, which you don't often find elsewhere. Unfortunately, neither was available, and staff couldn't say when they'd be back. That was disappointing, especially since it was the main reason I came. I later noticed in other reviews that this seems to be a recurring issue -- certain menu items, especially the Filipino-inspired ones, aren't consistently available. It would be great to see more consistency, especially when those offerings are what set the place apart. The space itself is aesthetically pleasing with a cozy vibe, but the staff didn't seem very engaged. A bit more warmth and interaction would definitely elevate the experience -- I felt a little awkward with the lack of customer engagement. I settled for the crème brûlée latte, which I'd rate a 3.5/5. It wasn't bad, just not memorable enough to draw me back on its own. That said, I see a lot of potential here. The person who took our order didn't seem very happy, and one of our two drinks was made with almond milk by mistake. Unfortunately, there was also no food available. I go to all the Mostras in the area: Hillcrest, 4S, Torrey, & Bankers. Banker's Hill ... I had faith in them until I didn't. Overall, I love the Mostra brand but, specifically Bankers will no longer be a location I visit. What I got: - Cold Brew - Longonisa sando Pros: - Customer service: Usually really good and very understanding with ordering. - Aesthetic: Very good place to sit and people watch or watching planes go by. There's outlets for you to charge your devices. The patio area looks very nice especially on a nice day. Cons: - Parking: You will never be able to find parking near it. It's busy but, it's city parking so you kinda gotta roll with it. (Not taking a star off for this but, imo still a con) - Burning food: I got the sando. I attached a photo of it and it's definitely BURNT. Lol Overall, I love the Mostra brand but, for a first time experience I would say go to Hillcrest. They are more consistent with the drinks & food. If you don't really care and just need a hang out spot near the airport that can fit 2-3 people then I'd say come here and grab a drink & bite to eat. read more

This location is within a residential building but you can access it on the corner of the street! I was lucky to snag street parking and ran in real quick to get my order. My boyfriend and I got the turon cream brulee and the cookie butter latte (his third choice tbh). My boyfriend originally wanted to try the bibingka cream brulee drink but they were out of like 3 drinks by 2pm which was a bit disappointing. I'm a huge banana fan so I always love trying lattes that contain banana (milk) and I've been curating a list of top ones. Sadly, their latte did not make the list. Idk if the quality is inconsistent because it seems like they have good reviews on this drink but for my drink, I could hardly taste the banana milk. It tasted more like unripe banana and there was no hint of jackfruit syrup either. Sadly, the blueberry muffin tasted dry inside and out. It crumbled under my fingers and the blueberry didn't have that delicious burst of juiciness. Maybe it was a day or two old? It isn't too sweet though which was nice. The iced salted caramel was good, smooth and creamy. Nice amount of espresso.
