Love this little café. I stopped by early one morning to grab a coffee before heading to an event at Balboa Park, and it was such a nice start to the day. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to chat, which made the place feel really warm and inviting. I ordered a latte and a morning bun, and both were delicious. While there isn't any indoor seating, they have a lovely outdoor patio area with plenty of tables. It's a great spot to sit with a book, get some work done, or just enjoy your coffee. I ended up spending some time there catching up on my reading before heading out to the event. I'll definitely be back.
Do not skip out!! I was searching for a good coffee place and this place came up #1. It is well deserving of that ranking. The moment my wife and I walked in, we were welcomed. It's a cute little place next to a barber shop. We asked Marissa, who is the owner what she recommended. It was the OBSL which is unique. It stands for orange, brown sugar latte. The coffee was smooth and the orange was subtle but it made this coffee so desirable. Looking back I should've ordered the vanilla bean concha which is the Mexican pan that they had available. If we are in the area we would especially brave the area to grab a coffee which is well worth it. I highly recommend this place.

It's run by the adorable couple Evan and Marissa, who started with a coffee truck and have clearly perfected their craft. One of their signature drinks, the OBSL (Orange Brown Sugar Latte), is iconic, all their flavors are homemade and every drink is vegan, made with oat milk. I love that their menu rotates every few minutes, which is such a cute and fun touch. The pastries are always tempting but tend to sell out fast, so arrive early if you want one. The space itself is small and cute, with some outdoor seating and WiFi, making it a perfect spot to hang out for a bit. Pro tip: get their punch card, you'll definitely want it if you're planning to come back (which you will). Overall, just an amazing spot with incredible drinks and a super welcoming vibe.

They are incredibly friendly, kind, and truly make the experience that much more enjoyable. It's a small location, which adds to its charm and makes it feel unique and fun. I also really loved the attention to detail throughout the shop, you can tell a lot of thought went into it. While we were ordering, the owner shared a bit of the history behind the coffee shop, and I have to say, it's worth the visit for that alone. The coffee itself is excellent. I always start with an Americano to really taste the coffee beans, and this one did not disappoint, great flavor and balance. We will definitely be coming back and hope to continue supporting this business on our next visit.

To start off, the owners are native to the SFV, which is where we call home Humble and down earth to say the least. He took the time to acknowledge it was our first time visiting the coffee shop, explained the menu and talked about his cool merch. It's a tiny space but just observing the customers who walked in/out, you know this is a staple in the community.The syrups are made in house and they only use non dairy milks. I got the iced Mexican Mocha which was oh sooo creamy and just simply delicious! My bff went with the OBSL which is their signature drink. I must say, I was a bit skeptical about tasting it cause I had never heard of an orange flavored brown sugar latte. Well, it just works! It's smooth, creamy and yummy! 10/10!! We know exactly where we're gonna stop by next time we're in SD

I love how intimate the shop is with just a bench inside, some outdoor seating and the cutest little plants that give me inspo for my own plant collection every time I go. The shop makes espresso based drinks only and is completely dairy free with oat milk, almond milk or soy milk as options in your coffee along with little baked vegan treats that never fail to satisfy. My go-to here is the Orange Brown Sugar Latte, perfect light twist to your typical coffee. The brown sugar keeps it warm and savory while the hint of orange really brightens it with each sip. This coffee shop is my personal treat every once in a while and I love it every time.

I've been coming in for a couple of years now. I have watched this little cute coffee shop and feel they are on the right trajectory! The owners and their staff have been nothing short of wonderful! They care about the service what others think of their coffee! They support local bakers with their baked goods provided. They have reworked their little interior to make the space more open and welcoming! Now the coffee! You definitely should not miss their signature drink! The Orange Brown Sugar Latter aka OBSL! This drink hooked my wife as her go to drink whenever we come in! I d need to remind all this a non dairy coffee shop so expect oat or almond milk for your drinks. I am partial to milk but I do find the almond based milk pleasant in the OBSL. It would do your heart some goodness to stop in and say Hi and enjoy a cup! You ha e the outside patio or a few seats inside to enjoy your drink(s). Stop in! It's worth your time! read more

The cutest coffee shop with the most incredible workers. Love, love, love the service! The thing that caught my eye was the orange latte and I'm 100% obsessed with any coffee that has orange in it. This one was so tasty and loved that it was an orange brown sugar latte. You would think it'd be super sweet, but thankfully it wasn't. It was absolute perfection. I'll probably add a shot my next go around. Cool thing they mentioned is the menu flips every few minutes. I forgot the exact amount of time, but that was a cool little detail. Parking lot is small, but you should be able to nab a spot. They also have outside seating. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. read more

Really delicious coffee at The Coffee Drop! I'm so glad I got to try this spot as it will definitely be added to my SD coffee rotation. The shop itself is cozy, clean, and well decorated. The barista who owns the shop with his partner is really kind and personable, and he shared the story of the shop with me while he made the drink. The drink itself hit the spot on a hot sunny day. This is definitely some of the smoothest espresso I've ever had. The orange brown sugar was subtle, but had a great flavor profile against the espresso. First customer of the day and walked in, greeted and explained their drinks to me. I usually keep it pretty simple with my coffee orders, but this place makes even the basics feel special. I tried their orange brown sugar latte and the honey cinnamon latte, both were delicious. The vibe is quiet and cozy inside, with a small space to sit, and they also have a nice deck outside if you want some fresh air. This is my husband and I's absolute FAV coffee shop. Hands down! By now I think we have tried about everything on the menu! If there was more stars to give, we'd definitely give The Coffee Drop more stars! It's always great to come in and stay a little while to chat with the lovely and most welcoming owners. We have recommended this spot to all of our friends and family. Amazing coffee and great vibes every single time. We have been coming here every single week for over a year now! So let me start off by saying the staff is simply amazing. The customer service amazing I asked multiple questions about the drinks and wasn't rushed. Now the Oatmeal Cookie tastes phenomenal. Fresh ingredients. The atmosphere inside is amazing. Will definitely return again. read more

Such a cute spot with the friendliest customer service! The person up front gave great recommendations. The place is a bit small but there's outdoor seating for those that want to sit down. All their drinks are oat milk based and they have almond milk upon request. I ordered the honey cinnamon latte, it was tasty. A great balance and the coffee was nice and prominent. They seem pretty busy with regular customers coming in which is good to see. A great spot in this neighborhood for sure! Will be coming back to try other drinks! read more

Right on the corner of 30th & Broadway next to a barber shop. There's plenty of parking in the lot which is nice and street parking, though that may be more difficult to find. Iced coffee is fantastic. I guess they make their own syrups - soo good. Super small place with big flavor. Give it a go! read more

Had gotten an Airbnb and was a nice place to walk to and get a cup of coffee. Lots of outside seating, but super tiny in the inside. They do have lots of people so when are waiting inside for their drink it does get cramped in there. With the amount outside they should make the inside a window/ bar coffee shop like a grab and go/chill. The two owners were super friendly and helpful. Star of the show the Orange Brown Sugar Latte, I was expecting like a hint of orange but you can definitely taste all the flavors, with the taste of coffee still being there, I'd order it again.
