Provecho serves good mexican-inspired coffee drinks. But don't see them as merely making fancy drinks , their coffee is actually good. They sell their coffee beans in bags too (home supply!). The baked goods are amazing. This place has a big space, both inside and outside and it seems like a good place to get some work done (but I don't see anywhere to plug in, so you might want to come with fully charged laptops). Line can get long
Came here on a Saturday morning at 10AM after a gym sesh on Labor Day weekend. There was no parking, but I found a little parking lot in the back alley. Not sure if I could park there, but oh well. There was a decent line with about 8 people in front of us. It was loud and lively with people working and chatting up with friends. My wife ordered the sesame matcha with oat milk. The girl at the register was very friendly and helped us choose a pastry. We ended up with the ube concha and it was alright. The drink came out pretty quick and the black sesame cream top was amazing. Would recommend.
I love that this place has history it used to be a big bread warehouse! Literally they used to make bread there. Rustic for sure ! Love the whole idea of it and brining some art to it as well. Seating area inside and outside. I tried the piloncillo coffee and to be honest it wasn't my favorite it was missing something, but I would love to try another different one next time. Service was good too.
We've heard amazing things about their coffee and they did not disappoint! I had a provecho mocha and it was more on the sweeter side but nonetheless it was delicious. The roast they had today blended well. The staff was friendly and gave us good recommendations. The decor was very cute! The industrial look with the greenery was cute! They had an outside patio that was very clean and lots of seating.
Came with some out of town friends to show them this spot. Very busy even on a Saturday afternoon still. Got the creamy cold brew this time which was on their seasonal menu. It's cold brew with condensed milk cold foam. Unfortunately this one was a bit of a miss for me. The cold brew while smooth was less coffee forward than I prefer. The condensed milk cold foam was pretty watery and not condensed milk enough. It just tasted like a sweetened cream. I'll still with the other foam tops! Also a little bit of a pet peeve when they don't fill a drink all the way up, especially when I didn't adjust ice level.
Provecho is world class. I can't say enough about how good this coffee spot is. The coffee was rich, yet smooth. I had a Piloncillo Latte based off of the recommendation from the barista. It was spectacular. Not too sweet but just perfect. I also had a chorizo crescent. It was savory and fluffy. I was not expecting to like this shop as much as I did but if I could give this 6/5 stars I would. And the shop is such a vibe. An old roaster in the middle of a very unassuming building. Street parking is readily available and they were very quick. This is a must stop shop.
What a vibe. Everyone had the same idea for Saturday coffee in Barrio Logan. The line was long the entire time we were there. The aesthetic is clean and on brand. The coffee is good, once size to keep things simple. My only complaint is that the sesame cold foam was the end of the bottle; so it was more watery than dense. It immediately mixed into my latte versus being able to sip and enjoy it on top.
been on my list to go for a while! finally had to stop by on my San Diego trip. Definitely worth the wait. the ube concha is SO GOOD and I had the hojicha with condensed milk foam. you have to try the condensed milk foam with your hojicha!! Definitely coming back again when we are back in San Diego
Provecho Coffee is an absolute stand-out. Rad industrial building, excellent central location in Logan, delicious, thoughtfully crafted coffee, and fantastic service. This spot will be on my regular rotation!
Latín coffee roaster Barrio Logan Coffee, tea, matcha, small bites Old bread factory Large indoor and out door seating Restrooms inside No parking (street parking can be difficult) Amex accepted Industrial atmosphere Ethically sourced coffee Dog friendly Friendly and fast service
The Costa Rican pour-over we enjoyed in the cafe was lovely but the real treasure is the bag I brought home. Great cafe! Greater coffee. If I lived in SD, Prove how would be in my rotation, for sure.
Very busy with a long line, luckily it went by quickly. Great coffee and the boy loved his Oreo concha and hot chocolate. Thank you for opening the back gate so my child's wheel chair can wheel on over to a table to catch some sun. Dog friendly, Ollie made some friends. We will return.
Mi nuevo café favorito! While strolling through Barrio, I stumbled upon this hidden gem and I'm so glad I did. It's inside a mixed‑use building filled with cool things -- art, creative businesses, and little surprises everywhere. The colors, furniture, and the gorgeous handmade ceramics and dishware give the space its own unique, minimal‑but‑playful style, with just a touch of that warehouse feel (which I always love). The staff are friendly, many are bilingual (always a plus in my book), and the whole place feels very community‑forward -- part coffee shop, part creative hub, part neighborhood gathering space. I love the large outdoor patio, the quirky little community shack/installation (you'll know exactly what I mean when you see it), and the honor‑system shelf of books and sketchbooks -- definitely not the kind of books you'd find at a traditional bookstore. Absolutely love it here and honestly ready to never leave.

Made a dedicated trip just to try their fall seasonal roasted pumpkin spice latte (using kabocha instead of regular pumpkin ) and it is SO so good!! It's the perfect balance of sweetness and spices and you can actually taste the kabocha! Interior is also super cute - it's like a warehouse with dim lighting decorated with cute plants and a stand for books/zines, and they have merch (stickers, shirts, coffee equipment, etc), plus a nice art gallery next door! read more
I've tried espresso tonic's at a lot of different places and I thought I had found some pretty good ones, but the one at Provecho was so much better than all the others. It was definitely the best one. We also got the orange dream which was tasty too. It's kind of crazy how orange and espresso go together well. Came here on a weekday afternoon, it was bustling but we didn't have to wait too long in line. Street parking and we were able to find one fairly easily. Took a short stroll through the art gallery before heading out. read more

The coffee shop is hidden in this unique little warehouse in Logan Heights. There's a small set up for the bar in the center of the warehouse. The barista who took our order was really nice & made conversation with us as we were ordering. The vibes of this cafe is great, but the coffee itself was lacking greatly. We are grateful that we got to try this spot, but it may be a one & done for us. Orange Dream - 7/10 (the orange flavor was pretty light. i felt like the coffee itself was not as strong as i would prefer. overall, it was just pretty milky & i was a bit let down since i had high hopes for this cafe. ~jerm) Sesame Latte - 6.7/10 (i only tasted the milk in my drink as it was really lacking on the actual coffee. the sesame foam was quite thick, but i wish it blended better with the drink as it was pretty grainy throughout. i would also prefer if the coffee has a bit less foam. overall, the coffee was quite expensive for what it is. ~tine) read more
THIS. PLACE. IS. RUSTIC. I love it!!! I wanted to suggest a new coffee shop place and searched reviews on yelp. This place popped up and we decided to give it a try. We did and here we are!! I wonder what this place used to be before, but I love the vibes. Music is amazing too. I got a sesame matcha, it was okay, but I'm sure to try something else next time. read more
You must go to Provecho even if you have to take a Beta Waymo...soon to launch driverless in 2026. Provecho has been around for several years as a coffee catering service and the company launched a cold brew coffee service during the pandemic. Soon after, they settled into their permanent space in a former bread factory in Bread in Salt in the Barrio Logan neighborhood. They mostly offer single organ coffee, pour overs and specialty beverages and they like to feature coffees from Mexico. On a tasting trip we tried the Costa Rican and Columbian options which are two of my favorite coffee regions in addition to beans from the Chipas region of Mexico. We met with the owners and purchased beans and hats. They have a fun merch program. The space is open, relaxed and offers an array of art both inside and on the outside patio. At the time of this review, there is a " What You Carry" display outside in which you can place something from your pocket or handbag to add to the art exhibit. Enjoy! #Provecho #BarrioLogan #Art #Coffee read more

I always have an awesome time down at Provecho! Coffee Co. in Barrio Logan. It's situated inside of Bread & Salt, an incredible and down-to-earth art gallery that hosts a great range of installations and exhibits year round. The atmosphere is welcoming, open, and feels friendly toward people from all walks of life, families, and even dogs! I've had a handful of drinks here, including the Americano, cortado, and oat milk latte. Everything is really smooth, balanced, and tasty. I really enjoy working here with my laptop sometimes. Since the WiFi is so strong and the vibes are so nice. Definitely recommend trying Provecho! out--I'd even say it's worth the drive from further spots like Chula Vista or Clairemont. read more

Such a cute communal spot with amazing drinks! The service was incredible and everyone was so friendly. The black sesame latte was honestly the best I've ever had, and the Orange Dream Latte was so delicious too. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving a really good coffee and a fun atmosphere! read more
Walked in on a Sunday morning around 9am, line was to the door but I was very disappointed with their lattes. I felt like it was too milky couldn't really taste the coffee. I had the orange and Piloncillo. If I had to choose between the two, I would order the Piloncillo. Kids chocolate milk was not good. 4/10 read more

Provecho is one of those spots that just gets it. Big warehouse energy with huge tables. It's right next to Bread & Salt, so there's always something happening- events, art shows, people vibing. My forever orders: the iced sesame latte and the orange dream (don't question it- just trust). Both are dreamy, balanced, and creamy. I've hung out for a few hours without feeling rushed or weird about it. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, good energy, solid flow. Parking can be a little difficult on weekends. It's free street parking, but you may have to circle the block like a hawk. Worth it. Don't miss the little corner book stand inside. Zines, unique books, very Barrio Logan-coded. read more

I actually really love this spot. It's right next to a cool museum / art history place where you can walk around while waiting for your coffee. It's super artsy, the staff are very nice. Lots of college students doing work here as well. The coffee was delicious. The outside area is super big too! read more

The service there is amazing. The gentleman taking my order was kind and welcoming. I went in asking for a caramel iced latte (basic, I know) but I've been trying to find the best coffees in SD, so I try to order the same thing everywhere to keep it consistent. They didn't carry that, but he walked me through all their specialty drinks instead. I'm glad I went with the piloncillo. It was sweet enough and didn't have that bitter taste. The chocolate vanilla concha was AMAZING. I thought about it the rest of the day LOL. There is seating inside and outside. The location seems to be inside a neighborhood, so it was nice to see the dogs walking by. There is no AC, and I didn't see outlets. read more
(Seasonal) Peach Oolong Tea, peach puree was not too sweet, didn't have that artificial taste. This was refreshing! Iced Matcha Latte w/ oat milk. The matcha powder they use...just try it. This matcha latte is super creamy and a little thick, we love it. read more
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We came a little before 10am on a Sunday morning and there were only about 3 people in front of us but by the time we left around 10:30am, the line was very long. I had the sesame latte with oat milk and it was very tasty, definitely recommend and the taro concha was delicious. It is a very spacious coffee shop with seating available both inside and outside. Great and inviting/relaxing ambiance outside and a warehouse ambiance inside. Must try coffee shop! read more

Had to try this one. Saw it trending on social media. It's very spacious. Such a cool space!! They have a huge inside and outside area to drink coffee and relax. The place is very clean, lots of places to sit and many cool photo spots. It's a great place to meet friends for coffee. I do wish they had food or pastries, there weren't any when we went and you had to wait to see the menu when you got the counter, that was probably the only downside. They barista's were nice and gave good recommendations. I did try something in havent tried before which was pretty good! The coffee was good, the vibe was cool and the space was awesome! They did a great job with this location. read more

Service is so welcoming and sincere! The vibe was vibing!! Sade music playing and super chill ambiance. I loved every part of it. And I can't forget the top tier menu selection! I had to get two drinks as I couldn't choose just one! I went with the hot pilloncilo latte and iced sesame latte. Wow! So delicious! Thanks for Ceci, Rosanna and the other cool guys working! You all are beautiful people! read more
This is seriously a not so hidden, hidden gem! Cako and I just finished our walk and I searched for coffee, and Provecho came up! I honestly did not know where I was going, but I saw people, and luckily there was a parking space in front. Had I known they were dog friendly, I would've brought Cako in. Lots of neighborhood people which is always a good sign. I saw on their website that they had coffee beans from Chiapas and I grabbed a bag. There was a line and it did take a while but no fault of the workers. You'd think after waiting in line, you'd know what you want. Finally got to the front, met the owner Gerardo, and was able to get my beans ground. He told me they'd been open for two years. Man I must be living under a rock! There are plenty of seats and small tables and two large communal tables inside. They also have a great outdoor seating area. Definitely worth checking out! Oh, and that Chiapas was amazing! read more

This coffee shop was definitely off the beaten path. Had a unique vibe within it. That was artsy and welcoming. I really liked the vibe inside and you can tell there was a lot of regulars posted doing work or visiting. I have never been to a coffee shop that offered the flavors that this place did. The barista at the counter was very helpful answering all my questions. I was very pleased with her suggestions for our coffee. If you have a hard time string from traditional coffee, shops that are more mainstream like Starbucks this may not be a good fit for you. However, if you're open for adventure, I highly recommend that you come here and enjoy something new and exciting. It also seems as if there is lots of different art pieces you can walk around and see. I wish there was more directions around this so I didn't feel like I was breaking the rules as I did that lol read more
This place never disappoints! Great coffee selection and the best of all is that they make an horchata latte. Just be mindful that the line can be pretty long but you won't wait more than 5 mins for your drink to be ready. read more

This may seem like a silly question. But does anyone know if they have WiFi?
Yes they do. I ended up asking the barista. I cannot remember if it was posted or not.
