What an awesome spot! My bestie and I had a great time meeting for coffee and lunch here last week. The entire coffee shop is decorated for the holidays and had a fun, festive atmosphere. The food was delicious, I went with my third choice meal due to them being out of a lot of things which was a bummer but the food was good regardless. Additionally, they offer christmas cocoa and espresso flights which were super yummy and a fun way to get into the holiday spirit! Parking is kind of a nightmare at this location but if you can snag a spot, definitely stop by and cross this holiday must see off your list!
Ryan Bros Coffee - Great Vibes & Delicious Drinks! Ordered the Cold Brew Flight with cold foam -- such an awesome idea to sample different flavors! The Mexican Mocha, Dirty Chai, Trifecta, and Black Mango Tea were all unique and fun to taste. Love the cute aesthetic and presentation. We also tried the Avocado Toast, Main Street Special Burrito, and a Matcha Latte -- everything was fresh and super tasty. The coffee shop itself is huge with plenty of seating and a welcoming vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Definitely a great spot to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done.

This is my first visit. I really liked the ambiance. It's spacious and great for group gatherings or if you just want a place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The staff were friendly. I got a latte with Irish Cream. It was too sweet for my taste though. The açaí bowl had too much granola and not enough açaí for my taste. Overall, it's a good place to hang out but it would not my first choice for coffee. It's a 3.5 star place for me.

This location in Barrio Logan is one of the first on site roasters downtown area. Since 2003 they have been serving up the finest espresso drinks to a loyal following. Their brick building is historic and very accommodating to laptop workers. Plenty of free street parking too.
Breakfast burritos are just delicious and the blueberry scones are perfect. Blueberry muffins are excellent and then the actual coffee is amazing. Friendly service and clean eclectic decor makes for a welcoming and cozy experience. A definite must
I actually visited this spot as a business-school field trip and was able to meet the owner and check out their coffee operations, but I also purchased a vanilla latte! This coffee shop is located at a nice corner off Main Street. Lots of free parking around. It's a pretty big space with lots of seating. The employees are nice, and I was able to learn about their coffee philosophy from the time I spent learning. My vanilla latte was delicious, perfectly sweet and strong. They offer dairy alternatives. I was able to try a sample of their green coffee which was unique, a bit minty and refreshing. My friends got their food and said it was good but I wasn't able to try it. You can tell they're really passionate about what they do here! I recommend it.
My daughter and I decided to meet up here this morning and I'm so glad we did! It's absolutely adorable on the inside. Their coffee is incredible for both those hardcore coffee lovers and those who want something that doesn't taste like coffee. Highly recommend you stop in for breakfast
This place.... it is very popular among locals and it is very rustic. Conveniently located in the heart of Barrio Logan, if you want a strong and good coffee, this is your spot. They also have other breakfast options that are available and appear to be made to order. I got a frapuccino and a chocolate croissant. It was mid-tier. A bit on the pricy side but I'd definitely try other options and see how this place lives up to the hype.
Love the ambiance but the iced lattes were terrible. My bf got an iced vanilla latte and I got the iced Irish cream latte- both tasted basically like milk, mine was overwhelmingly sweet. I specifically asked for mine to be made with less milk because I like the coffee flavor, and this was the opposite. We didn't finish them and are on way to a new shop right now.
I saw on IG that this coffee shop had cute delicious festive cold brew flights! I had to make my way to one of their locations as the holidays were nearing end. The location my boyfriend and I went to is the one located in the corner of Main St and Cesar E. Chavez Pkwy where the Barrio Logan Gateway sign is. There's ample free street parking around the area. I was super excited for their festival cold brew flights but the day my boyfriend and I went, they ran out of ingredients to make them! Sad! But regardless, they still had a cold brew flight of flavors to choose from. My boyfriend and I got their Trifecta, Mexican Mocha, French Vanilla Caramel combo, and Candy Cane (yay for the latter!). The barista had cold foam on top of each drink (peep at pic), and omg. Every one of were delicious! The cold foam definitely enhanced the drink and surprisingly wasn't very sweet. Our top favorites were the trifecta and Mexican mocha. I was actually debating on getting a full size trifecta for the road LOL but definitely a spot to revisit in the future in my opinion. My boyfriend also go their Chocolate Scone which looked kind of dry from first impression but surprisingly and thankfully, was not! Heating it up definitely helped. Overall, even though I didn't get my festive cold brew flight, the regular flight we chose with the cold foam were delicious! We will be back next year to try get their festive flights (and for more of their trifecta cold brew).
The Mexican mocha and chorizo burrito here are the best. Every time we have an overnight stay downtown we stop by here for breakfast/hangover cure the next day. The burritos are big enough to share and the drinks are always made perfectly.
I'm so glad my friend showed me this spot yesterday! What a fun place if you're a coffee lover :-) I love that they have different types of cold brew on top that they let you sample. They also have a large food menu including both pastries and heavier items. We shared the veggie burrito which was fresh and the perfect size for sharing. The only suggestion I have is a little more seasoning as it's a little bland on its own. The girl at the front was really helpful and happy to answer all of our questions. They also have plenty of seating and I could definitely see myself spending a few hours working here. I love that they had high tops, regular tables, and some comfier couch seating. First time checking out Ryan Bros. The Barrio Logan location has plenty of seating and great for coworking or just changing out. The front space has some games you can play. The bar area in the middle offers outlets around every seat for convenient device charging. I was here on Saturday morning and there was plenty of street parking. It wasn't too busy inside either. I got mixed service from the staff. I ordered the matcha flight but received a coffee flight. Which was fine but I was a little confused as to why they didn't give me the thing I ordered. I do want to go back and hopefully try the matcha flight next time. read more

I tried their Funky Monkey. I was craving a smoothie, it was very good, I'd recommend it if you're craving a ok mething sweet. One of my favorite lattes is the Bon Fire latte; although I recommend ordering it without the cayenne pepper because it is spicy. If you haven't done so I also recommend ordering a flight. Staff is friendly and the service is great. I love the vibes and decor at the this shop. read more
Stopped in during the Chicano Park Day celebration. The interior of the shop was cute, lots of natural light, with the typical coffee shop industrial feel. Unfortunately they were out of the Horchata coffee, so I ordered a Mexican mocha instead. I also ordered a TAB sandwich as well. The coffee was ok. It just tasted like chocolate milk , nothing special. The sandwich was a bit of a let-down. It was turkey lunch meat, some bacon, and mayo pressed like a panini. For the cost, it was not worth it at all. I probably won't be returning. I spent over $20 for a small chocolate milk that was supposed to be a coffee and a mediocre sandwich. read more

This has been on my coffee to do list for quite awhile as I was particularly interested in their flights. What I didn't realize was the terrible neighborhood this is in, which have their fault, but note to the wise, especially women, do not park and walk here alone. I felt I was putting my life at risk parking 3 blocks away at noon. It was pretty scary I ordered the flight but was not asked nor told that they would all be iced. I do not drink nor like iced coffee so had I known I probably would've ordered something else, especially for $20. The flight was beautifully displayed and as good as iced can be (which for me is not great) but I the glasses were so tiny (and half of it ice), I'm pretty sure all of them put together would barely make one regular drink, again for $20? I think you're better off just ordering one regular sized drink for $6. And remember to come with a burly friend for security read more

Love the cold brews here! I always ask for no ice but forgot with the flight. The summer flight was a fun mix of fresh flavors. The cold foams are also great! The building is rustic and the bar is apparently original from 1870 and Jesse James frequented it. read more

I got the Christmas flight and a coffee. I hated the flight and hated my coffee. It was overhyped and definitely overpriced. The barrio Logan location is very cool but I will never be getting coffee here again. The everything bagel was decent though. read more

Just got off on a break. Ordered a burrito bowl (Main Street special) to go. Waited for an about 12 minutes til my order arrived. Service was prompt. Ambiance seemed lively enough. Not too much people but just the perfect amount. Great Burrito. read more

What a great place to stop by and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee! I love that they open at 6am. I was in the area early in the morning and in desperate need of some coffee. Parking was limited but that's usually the case in the area since it's close to the shipyard and all the Nasco employees park around there. I love how easy it is to find the spot and the inside is huge! So much seating available and there's a small living room lounge area to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee. It was nice and chilly in the morning and I paired it with their seasonal pumpkin latte. The flavor was great and the staff was really nice. I highly recommend them just give yourself time to find parking. read more

Don't order a hot drink here. Tastes like a gas station coffee. They put so much chocolate at the bottom of the mocha that it was sludge. They use a powder and I think they over did it a bit today. We returned our drinks and they gave us a cold brew. Been here previously for the cold brew, and it was great. Service is nice but slow. I think they forgot our initial order. Overall would come back for cold brew. read more
Pretty good coffee place that I came to on my visit to SD, the decor was cute and the latte I got was delish, my only feedback would be the service, it was kind of slow and there was only one person ahead of me but the entire order from start to finish took like 30 mins and that felt like way too long. read more

First time visiting a Ryan Bros Coffee and learned that the Barrio Logan location is the headquarters where they roast their beans for their other stores. This location is spacious with plenty of seating, very chill vibes, average noise level making it a great place to study and decent street parking. The service I received was pretty good, they're generous with the samples of the different types of cold brews that they offer. I got the hot nitro draft which is your typical pour over coffee, infused with nitro making the drink a bit smoother than normal. I sampled the cold brews and they didn't taste that strong and were not as smooth as nitro coffees should be. I would come back next time to try the cold teas on tap. I'd say overall the coffee isn't the best, but it's not bad, would recommend trying it out. read more

Fun cafe to stop in Barrio Logan. They have bakery treats, tons of flavors of coffee and tea, and huge bags of tea and coffee for purchase. You can also get sandwiches. They have taps of coffee and tea as well! There's a cozy spot with 2 stairs down with couches and books. There's tons of seating and great music. You can buy shirts, hats, greeting cards, tea leaves, coffee beans, tote bags, mugs, and more here. The outstanding bit about this spot is the service. The employees couldn't have been kinder. I would stop here again without a doubt. Life's too short to be bitter ;) read more

I would be here every morning and the Asian girl(sorry don't know her name) was my to go girl when making my Mexican mocha. She knew exactly what she was doing. Sorry can't say much about the others I would often see them on their phones and maybe that's why coffee wasn't as great. So this is the reason I stopped coming back. And about the Chorizo con papa I will give it another try sometime next week and I will definitely give you my honest review on it. Thanks for your time. read more

Came here on a Friday morning for a quick coffee break before running on a few errands. A lot has changed since I last went here (they've expanded their menu and got rid of a few things) but I was able to talk to one of the Ryan Brothers, Carmine, who was super chill & very nice. As an Indonesian, I quickly noticed the bike decoration near the entrance and we talked about Indonesian culture and his brief stint there. There are now a few Ryan Bros Coffee shops (City Heights (my go-to spot) & Lemon Grove (I think this closed)) but this was the first one I went to when I just moved to San Diego and volunteered with Trolley Dance. They have great deals, delicious food (I recommend the cheese danish) and friendly service. I would definitely go back to try their burrito or just for the atmosphere. It felt very safe & welcoming. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Parking: 1/5 - there is a 15 minute parking spot or you can park across the street. read more
