This is a great coffee shop / roaster in the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego. They make great coffee, we had a Cortado & Mexican Mocha. Both were great, nice and creamy with great flavor. In addition to indoor and outside seating Cafe Moto also features a drive-thru that was pretty busy when we were there. The staff is friendly and keeps the place clean and neat. There are a few parking spots in the lot and street parking can be hard to find.
Cute little stand. car themed, definitely more of a "to-go" stand than a sit down shop since there is little seating available. The workers are friendly, quick to take orders. There was a small wait to get our vanilla latte, but nothing outrageous. The coffee is very good! the lattes are on the sweeter side, if you don't like sweet coffee. It was like $10.50 for an iced latte and a dark roast drip.

Parking is only street parking so in busy mornings it must be a bit of a challenge. Interesting coffee options including a Cubano Cortado which I have not seen in any other place. We ordered a Latte and a Cubano Cortado. Great coffee quality. Service was super fast and cordial.

There's an indoor café area, a drive‑thru line, and a walk‑up counter, which makes it super convenient no matter what you're in the mood for. They offer a great selection of pastries and the service is consistently excellent. Every time I've visited, they've been pretty busy, so street parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day. Overall, it's a great spot for anyone who truly appreciates good coffee. Slipping around the corners of your thoughts? Caffeine gauge moving closer towards empty? Want a little turbo boost? I was three for three of the aforementioned yesterday when I pulled in for the pit stop at this mechanic themed coffee shop. I was in P6, but fortunately cafe Moto must be taking notes from Formula 1 because the entire corral was cleared in minutes ready to hot lap the day. Foot powered coffee drinkers rest easy: there is a walk up section and outdoor seating insulated from the vehicular traffic. The Cubano was excellent and the cold brew is always strong and tasty!
Best coffee say the locals...I think I can agree with that. Busy with walk up window and drive through, yet the system seems to be on point. Ordered a lavender vanilla latte with almond milk. Loved it! What i loved even more though was the Chai Latte. Wow, was that a perfect blend. I only took a few sips from my husband's, but it was delicious. I get it! Hype is real with this one
I have had this coffee shop on my list to visit, but what finally made me come was that they had a special drink called V12 Dark Side. They released this drink for about a week since the new Mandalorian & Grogu movie came out. I have been craving the Cold Brew from Star Wars Land in Disneyland. It did not taste like that one, mainly because it is originally made with Cream Cheese Foam, while this was Sweet Cream Foam. Do not let that sentence fool you though, this was the best cold brew I have ever had. It had none of that burnt flavor that I taste in Starbucks. It was incredibly smooth. Aside from that, the flavor of the coffee was delicious. My cream mixed into the cold brew perfectly. I have always had issues with cream tops because they do not mix well and taste airy almost. This was perfect, the cream was thick and basically turned into a creamer for the cold brew. I loved it. It added some sweetness while still being strong. My boyfriend got the V12 Nitro and again the flavor was so good. I have no notes. I would 100% come back for their drinks. It was my first time here so I was confused on where to order. I walked inside the building and almost immediately an employee let me know where I was able to order. I appreciated that they told me. Once I went outside to order, the employee seemed a bit rushed on taking our order. Which makes complete sense because they have a drive thru as well as the line on foot. Nonetheless, he was kind and actually the same employee who told us where to order. The place seemed very electronic or rustic even. I didn't get that auto body motor shop vibes. At least from the outside. It had steel all around with a black building. I wasn't scanning the inside seating for the decoration, but I did think it was beautiful. I was looking all around and thought how nice and vintage it looked. I parked on the street, but I didn't have any issues. I'm not sure if they have a dedicated lot, but they also had a drive through from what I saw! {05/27/26-1:20pm}
Delicious coffee. Mostly consistent. I used to visit this place when they had blended options i miss those sm!!!. Our drinks were delivered by Ben the manager. He was so professional and resolving after a small inconvenience. He even went as far as offering a discount but his kind attention was more than enough. Thank you ben for your cool personality.

I had seen moto coffee being served in other establishments but this was my first time trying it straight from the source! I love that they have a drive thru and the red cones they put for your order really keeps the atmosphere in theme to the car shop vibes, I tried a season white mocha with cranberry and almond milk I didn't really taste much cranberry but the drink was delicious, I love the flavor of the coffee and how it mixed well with the white mocha and didn't overpower it
Great place in the Logan area with supreme coffee. Lots of options, the usuals, plus Dutch, Mexican, mint, white, mochas. Chai lattes and hot chocolate. They also get amazing pastries in the morning, so come early. Also wait for the drive thru is very unique but it's worth the wait in general. If you can drink their coffee black, and it's delicious, you'll want to share the location with friends. Cafe Moto's coffee is that delicious. To be fair, this roaster/importer/coffee shop is off my beaten path. My cousin (from LA) has been raving about this place for the last couple of months though, so since the holidays are here, I figured I should go get him some coffee. One of the best things about Cafe Moto is how knowledgeable their baristas are. When I looked online I realized they have a full range of single origin coffees and roasts. They also have their Blue Sky blend. So much happy coffee beans it could make your head spin. Here's where the baristas come in - they can tell you all about the different flavor notes, how deeply the coffee's been roasted, etc. so that you come away with a couple of bags of beans that are bound to please. Be prepared for the teeny tiny parking lot in back, adjacent to the drive through, or the on street parking up front. The coffee is worth the effort! read more

Cafe Moto, a city coffee shop in Barrio Logan, launched Cafe Moto in 1990 but has been roasting coffee in San Diego since the 1960s . However, I first recently tried Moto Coffee while dining at a local eatery in San Diego. From my first sip to the end of the cup, I enjoyed the rich flavors and high-quality taste. The next weekend, wanting more Moto Coffee, I drove down the freeway to Barrio Logan to purchase a bag for home brewing. Cafe Moto offers a wide variety of coffees and prepares each cup to perfection. Beyond their excellent coffee, their culture, vision, and values are impressive, and I was happy to support this local San Diego business. I'm completely disappointed that this place will serve you only half a cup of coffee for an iced coffee and fill up the rest with ice. I asked for a cold coffee with no ice since I wanted to drink it later and didn't want to compromise the flavor once the ice melted and they literally gave me half cup of coffee! A fantastic cafe with a great tea selection as well! The staff is always very nice and insightful whenever we're doing our annual stock up of loose leaf tea. It's got a cute little walk up and a drive through (sorta). It's worth driving out of the way for! read more

Omggggg! I love this particular brand of coffee. I've noticed it being served at other coffee/ pastry shops and finally know where the original store exists!! I used their drive-thru. Cafe Moto ranks top on my favorite coffee list. It is the coffee shop that introduced me to third wave coffee. I truly love the drinks here. Someday I'll be able to finish their whole menu. The staff are straight to the point. Easy peasy. read more
We come here weekly and LOVE the coffee! Undoubtedly the best coffee in San Diego. I've gotten their flat white, macchiato, iced vanilla latte with oat milk (my go-to) and most recently their seasonal drink Berrykin which is white chocolate and cranberry. Today I stopped by their pop-up shop and met a quality control staff Michelle who was so friendly and an absolute delight. She recommended the Moto espresso beans so I ended up buying one for home. Stopped by a little after 2 pm to pick up some beans and to try their holiday drinks. The berrykins has a nice subtle cranberry taste and the butter not cry drink is sooo good! It's not too sweet. As always, our drinks came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Chill vibes and chill staff. read more
The drive thru is adorable and so sweet. I didn't expect to have everything delivered to me by hand -- quite a pleasant surprise. The menu was easy to read and the apparel/merch was super cute. I ended up getting a scone, brown sugar latte, and one of the Cafe Moto canvas hats. Delicious! Hat was adorable. Contrary to the cold and rainy weather, the service I received was so warm and nice. I can't wait to stop by here and head over to Libélula with my friends. read more
While we were deciding what to do today, coming here after taking grandpup to Del Mar was a good idea. It's a walk up or drive thru. We entered the drive through line and an employee came up to the car to take our order. He placed a red numbered marker on the hood. Doc ordered 3 Custom sweeties for us to drink and we each had a different snack; chocolate chip cookie(sugar over load), lemon ginger scone and cinnamon apple muffin. We pulled on the side of Chicano Park to admire the art work til we finished our pastries. Much faster than a competitor's drive through. read more
