Manor Coffee is seriously high quality! I LOVE the Black Marble Latte--it's become my go-to, while my boyfriend is a huge fan of their pour overs. Great coffee, nice people, great quality, and always a spot we look forward to coming back to! Highly recommend.

Super impressed with both of the drinks we tried. The Fog was complex and decorated with a burnt orange. It had very layered flavors and was prepared almost like an elaborate cocktail. Absolutely loved that it had vanilla and a hint of bitters! Black marble was also amazing and loved the small amount of salt added. Decor was amazing and my fiance commented on all of the plants and goth feel to everything.

I had a difficult time finding Manor Coffee Bar as it's located in a tiny end suite of the Hillcrest neighborhood. There were no other food or drink establishments on this random block of Washington St. Parking was all curbside in this area and can be challenging to find an open spot. In front of the business were some plastic stools and two small round tables for outside seating. The inside had only three tables so the layout wasn't conducive to hang out for a while and do laptop work. The decor had a Gothic/Victorian theme with dark tones. It created an interesting vibe that would be great for psychic readings or other areas of the supernatural. The main menu was posted inside a photo frame at the service counter. Three specials and various coffees were listed. A second menu sheet displayed the slow bar offerings that were made up of three coffees and three teas. I selected one of the three specials which was the Samurai's Garden. Matcha and shiso were added to a base of regular milk (my choice). A cherry blossom cold foam topped the drink which was creamy. The matcha flavor was lighter than I had hoped for. The barista on duty was very pleasant. Overall, I gave a 3.5 star rating for my visit to Manor Coffee Bar.

4-5 stars. Came here with some friends to enjoy coffee/matcha before walking. To get here, we followed the sign that said Manor Coffee Bar on the corner and then looked for the stone wall exterior. It wasn't that difficult to find and we just drove around a bit and parked in the residential area. There's several tables and chairs along the sidewalk / wall outside to sit at. Or you can stand, it's really no big deal. Inside, they have a few tables and a cushiony bench. The interior is decorated with art, plants, and more. It is a little dim, but I would say that's probably what they were going for with the Victorian Gothic inspired atmosphere. The menu is quite simple, they do have a specialty drink menu too (none at the time interested me). And they also had a dedicated pour-over and tea menu. For my first time, I decided to go with their Iced Maple Latte, I believe it was 12 oz, although I'm not 100%. It was $6.50 plus tax so $7 total! I couldn't exactly taste the maple, but they did mention that they wouldn't hesitate to add more maple for me next time. That's very sweet and reassuring to hear, I was def feeling hesitant to ask. My friends raved about the specialty drink: Iced Samurai's Garden-- this is a matcha latte with shiso syrup and cherry blossom cold foam. One friend went back after our walk and ordered another one. And the other friend mentioned it was one of her favorites out of all the shops we've been to so far (and we've went to lots!). I'm actually not a matcha fan but the way they raved about this has me wanting to try. My friend said it's not super matcha forward, the cherry blossom foam definitely carries through the drink. And I did think that shiso was a pepper, however, that is wrong lol. It's a Japanese herb belonging to the mint family! It has notes of basil and mint along with some spices-- such as anise, cinnamon, and citrus. I think that is quite unique to add to a drink and with such high praise...if matcha is your thing you should def give this a try! Next time, I'd try a different drink or even wait until they have some new seasonal drinks that maybe more of my palette. It was a really lovely interaction in the morning, I didn't feel rushed and the workers-- perhaps the owners-- were very sweet! They ask you for your name so they can call it out when the drink is ready. The espresso bar where they put your drink is nicely organized. Not all coffee shops need to have an abundance of seating and outlets. I like how personal this one is, and it really allows you to create moments and conversations with your friends. I would recommend Manor Coffee Bar!

What a great new coffee shop!! The owners, Aric & Kait are awesome. I ordered a chocolate croissant and it was amazing. Flakey, not too sweet, buttery. I also ordered a dirty chai. Definitely on the spicy side but still good. Decor is Victorian and so unique. Parking is street parking and it blends into the building a little. Definitely worth the drive or walk over. I'll be back!!

I've seen this spot advertised quite a bit in the last few weeks, wanted to give a try. Was definitely persuaded by the gothic style. First off, parking can be hard in this area. I was lucky enough to find a 15m limit spot since I was picking up to go. I was surprised to find the space on the smaller side. Still, very cool decor and vibe. There are a few tables inside to work or hang out. The barista was super helpful with the menu; I usually go for lattes but the way the barista broke down the black mocha, i had to try. He mentioned they use black cacao like they use for Oreos and that's the taste I was getting. It was SO GOOD! I hadn't had a mocha in a long time and I was so happy I did. Thanks to the helpful barista! I'll definitely be back to try more.

Walking into this coffee shop felt like stepping into another world -- dark, moody, and absolutely enchanting. But what truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the owners from the moment we walked in. Their passion for what they do is infectious. The drink menu is unlike anything I've seen. We tried the black sesame latte, which was rich, nutty, and beautifully complex. We also ordered the Tokyo Tonic which is a cherry blossom tonic. I decided to try it with Matcha. Wow, a stunning drink that was floral, earthy, and refreshing all at once. Both were works of art, visually and in flavor. If you're looking for a coffee shop experience that goes beyond the ordinary, this is it. Creative drinks, a stunning aesthetic, and owners who genuinely care about their guests. We decided to stop at Manor Coffee Bar during our visit to San Diego. When we are back in San Diego, Manor Coffee Bar is an absolute must on our list.

I've been hoping for a coffee shop near me that isn't better buzz with their over the top sugary drinks. Imagine my delight when Manor Coffee pops up a few feet away from my front door! The interior is quaint, spooky vibes, clean. I think the baristas are the owners and they are pleasant and friendly. I got the black marble which consisted of: black sesame, espresso, milk, black cacao cold foam, black lava salt. Now I'm usually a black coffee no sugar girl but sometimes i treat myself and this was it!!! I loved the combination of the sesame and black cacao cold foam with hints of salt. It was creamy, flavorful, and the perfect amount of sweet with sprinkles of salt. I feel like they definitely use high quality ingredients because it shows in the flavor. I cant wait to go back and get this +try their other drinks. Also another positive is they had gluten-free carrot cake!

Okay this might be my favorite coffee shop decor of all time. Love the gothic theme! The black marble was great. Something different from the norm. They had a few pastries, including a gluten free carrot cake. Will definitely be going back.

It was my first time here a few weeks ago! I'd highly recommend! It's the best place for the perfect coffee with the perfect dark vibe. Coffee was amazing I got the black marble. I stirred it really good to mix the foam and it was the perfect amount of sweet. Definitely a safe haven for the emo, goth, and weird. LOVE IT. staff is very kind and timely.

This tiny goth spot smelled so good inside and the aromas continue to impress me once we got our coffee, which tasted and smelled wonderful. Definitely a fun experience and we received excellent service from the baristas. Also really nice place to pick up some unique body spritz, and perfumes. Cute Gordy chit chat spot.

    Jordan T.

We had the samurai's garden and black marble. Both drinks had great flavor and weren't too sweet which we appreciate! We also had a chocolate croissant that was fresh, flakey and not too sweet. The staff were very nice. Love the decor!

So I made the trek over. Heads up: there's construction nearby, so parking was a struggle. Unfortunately, the visit ended up being a bit of a letdown. First off, they didn't have ice. I like my morning drinks iced, and I still ordered the bibingka latte, but it came without ice -- I ended up having to grab some from another restaurant since my work doesn't have a fridge. I was also excited for the longanisa sandwich, but they didn't have any hot sandwiches. What they did have was cheese rolls, a guava-filled ensaymada, and pandesal. The pastries were frozen, so he had to warm them up, which took a while. On the drink, I'd give it a 2.5/5. It was OK, but not something I'd order again. It was a balance of sweet and savory, with hints of rice flour and coconut milk -- but even ordering it less sweet, it still came out too sweet for me. The pastries were also just OK. My favorite of the bunch was the ensaymada. I really wanted to love this place given the concept, but between the missing ice, no hot sandwiches, and the frozen pastries, it didn't quite come together this visit.
