This was my first time at Saigon Coffee and it was so easy to love. Product itself: I ordered the limited edition Charlie Brown and the Banana lattes. They were both 10/10 and EXTREMELY STRONG. Made with their own brands robust beans, but not bitter at all. Customer service: I didn't catch the name of the lady who made my drink or took my order, but even with a big line I got my lattes within 5 minutes. The worker gave them to me with a smile on her face and it was so inviting I felt very welcomed. Value: Both of these lattes were $7 each which is standard for what I would pay for this high quality experience/drink. So definitely worth it! Atmosphere: Very aesthetic, welcoming, simple environment. With hints of their Vietnamese culture! Overall experience: My favorite part about Saigon Coffee was that after I read the owners origin story (which is written by the pick up counter) the humbly welcoming and high quality experience I had all made sense. These coffees are amazing. They are strong and sweet. Sometimes when I introduce people to Vietnamese iced coffee they don't like it at first, but eventually they become as obsessed as I am. If you are into fun coffee floaters this is your place. Personal favorite floater is the banana. My order is the original, but I get a large with extra ice. I'm a sucker for a good Vietnamese coffee, and Saigon Coffee arguably has the best Vietnamese coffee I've ever had in my life. It was so good that I ended up coming here twice during my recent trip to San Diego. The staff inside were incredibly friendly, and I really appreciated that they let you sample the coffee before ordering. One sip was all it took for me. Their Famous Saigon Coffee has that perfect balance of being strong enough to give you a real pick me up while still being rich, creamy, and sweet. On my second visit, I tried the Famous Banana, which takes their original Saigon Coffee and tops it with organic banana foam, crushed praline, and cocoa. Somehow it made an already great coffee even better. The banana flavor worked surprisingly well with the coffee without overpowering it. All in all, Saigon Coffee gets my highest recommendation for coffee in San Diego. I will absolutely be making a beeline back here the next time I'm in town. I love this place. On my visit to SD I went here twice. Wish this spot was available in the Bay Area. I came for the Hanoi Egg Coffee both days. I got a large extra sweet. Both times they were really creamy, sweet and perfectly strong. You really have to spend the time to mix it well to get the full flavor. On the second day the barista messed up and didn't make it extra sweet so he remade it and I got the first one free. 2 for the price of one! Even the non extra sweet was good. Hands down the best vietnamese coffee in San Diego. There is no equal. The service here is always top notch. Employees are very friendly and greet everyone who comes in. The menu is very simple and straight forward. The coffee is brewed fresh daily in their multiple drip pots which explains why its so delicious. Needed my matcha fix and this place definitely understood the assignment. I got the Viet coffee with matcha and my friend got the matcha with Hanoi egg foam. Both were dangerously good. The matcha was smooth, the coffee packed the perfect kick, and that egg foam? I was fully prepared to judge it... then I ended up stealing bites--I mean sips. I happen to be driving past this when I had to pull over and get a coffee! I've seen so many great reviews on Instagram and from friends who come here. Been wanting to come here forever and every time we tried to come, the lines were crazy long and just didn't have the time nor could we find parking. Well, I finally went this past May for the first time and luckily, the line wasn't too long and was able to find parking on a Saturday morning. Saigon coffee located in North Park San Diego area. To start, anyplace that has a line this long out the door and isn't giving away free stuff, has got to be fantastic. So we came down for a concert and we're looking for coffee. Saw Saigon Coffee in the Yelp reviews and had to go. Used to be an awesome spot in Newport Beach that went out of business during Covid sadly, they had the best coffee. Based on that, we had to make the trek to this place. Immediately we saw a line around the corner with easily 50 people waiting. I knew then we were in the promised land of coffee. We parked 3 blocks away and made the journey. And then, we waited. And waited. And waited some more, in the incredibly long line. Once we got up front we were ready to 2 coffees! We ordered the famous Saigon and the blended coconut. Once you get to the register the coffee comes out somewhat quick. If you get blended coconut it takes a bit longer. The drinks were delivered and we actually were able to sit outside at the red chairs and tables due to a lull in the line. I have to tell you, the hype is real. While they don't have even one hot coffee (Newport beach establishment had many) the iced coffee doesn't disappoint. The flavors are there and the coffee is absolutely silky and delicious. Even from a distance, this place couldn't be missed with the visible line of people waiting to order as well as their name boldly written on the building.
