Im becoming such a pistachio fan My friend recommended @delahcoffeehousesandiego to me and hyped up their Pistachio Latte -- I was not disappointed! If you're ever in North Park, Delah is an Authentic Arabic Coffee Shop with a great selection of good teas, coffee, and/or any of their delicious sweets and treats they have. I ordered the Pistachio Latte half sweet just in case and it is delicious. Some friends of mine have already gone back multiple times! PLUS! They are open until 11pm on weekdays which is so hard to find for coffee shops when you need to work late, study, or simply enjoy coffee with a friend in the evening.

Will have to come back for coffee but stopped by for tea and dessert after dinner here with a friend. Staff is friendly, coffee shop itself is spacious and very pretty. Dessert was too sweet for me (comes with the territory of loukoum), tea was good and strong. Will definitely be back!

I hate to update my review, but the way management or owner treats their employees/baristas makes patrons feel uncomfortable. I have encountered this on multiple occasions. Granted, this place does have some good drinks and sweets. It's a good place to hang out and or work, but I will not be coming back as there are many other coffee shops in the area. Hope this place improves.

Saw this coffee place on IG and immediately knew I wanted to check it out for the date latte they have. Place is spacious and decorated with what I think is a modern Yemeni decor. Plenty of drink and pastry options. I decided for the yemeni latte as well as the date latte. I couldn't really drink the date latte bc of the dairy (lactose intolerant here), but did take a sip to try. Loved the date latte. Yemeni was good too, but if I could have dairy I would have completely drank the date latte. Barista was super kind and patient with all my questions. She made stunning and delicious drinks. Definitely coming back!

Food/Drink: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 7.5/10 Coffee was really good but really expensive. I got a date latte, but it was nine dollars. I would've get it again, but it would have to be a special occasion. Service was also pretty good because the barista was really good at explaining the drinks. Would come again

If you were missing a late night coffee shop this is the place! It's open until 11pm and they have an amazing variety of drinks, flavors and desserts. It wasn't busy when we walked in around 5pm during the week and lots of available seating inside to chat or be productive and work (free WiFi). I loved my date latte with a sweet cold foam on top and my friend loved the Yemeni latte for the cardamom. The only thing I would not recommend is the mango fruit cake--that was such an unpleasant texture, it was gelatinous and tasted like a creamsicle not a mango. Stick with the milk cake!! So moist and flavorful.

Bismillah' Wow! New Coffee spot - open late over the weekend serving ultimate choices of drinks not just coffee! There's something for everyone My fav' Pistachio hot latte - Turkish coffee Chocolate Baklava is super authentic and fresh Baklava with ice cream superb! Pastry choices are almost infinite' - Grand clean open indoor space with comfy seating - outdoor tables and chairs for more than 2 people- great -great location- walking distance to great food and bar choices in NP! Idk about staff yet but everything in here is perfect!

Cute spot. The coffee was mediocre but the sweet treat was good. It's a nice spot with a good vibe. The staff were a bit confused when asked to put a hot drink in a mug rather than to go cup which I thought was weird.

Came here from a recommendation of a friend. The inside has plenty of seating if you are looking to slow down and relax or get some work done. Service was really good. They are very nice and accommodating. Would recommend you order their carafe. This is what sets their coffee from the others.

In this unique Yemeni Cafe, there are lots of seating inside for you to enjoy some delicious tea, coffee & desserts! The baristas are very kind & quick to take your order as you walk in. They have a variety of options for drinks & desserts that all sounds mouthwatering. * Delah Mofawar Coffee - 8/10 (the cardamom was quite strong & slightly took over the aroma of the coffee. the quality of the coffee is good, but it was different to us to have the coffee grounds at the bottom of the cup) * Princess Baklava - 7.8 (i thought that the pistachio filling was the perfect sweetness, but i wish the layers were more crispy & flaky. having bits & pieces of pistachio would really elevate this baklava) * Rose Milk Cake - 8/10 (i loved how it was super moist and decadent. the rose flavor stood out very well, however the actual bits of flower incorporated in the cake was quite overwhelming. nonetheless, cake overall was super tasty and not too sweet!)

An Arabic‑style coffee shop -- unique and definitely worth a try. This place is usually busy every time I walk by, so I finally decided to stop in. The space is large with plenty of seating, and a lot of people come here to work or study. There's usually a line to order, but the drinks come out quickly. They give you a buzzer so you know exactly when your order is ready for pickup. They have a huge selection of sweet and savory pastries and specialty drinks. I asked the barista for recommendations that weren't too sweet and for a savory pastry. I went with her picks: an iced Yemen latte with less sweetener and the beef‑and‑cheese pastry warmed up. Both were excellent and had a distinct Arabic flavor profile -- new for me, and I loved it. They also offer validated parking, which is rare and such a plus. I'd recommend this spot if you're open to trying coffee that's a little different from the typical European‑style cafés. I'd definitely come back.

Saffron milk cake

I think this place is designed very nicely. The chairs are the most comfortable and luxe that I've seen in any other coffee shop, and the decor is very clean, modern, with Arabic writing and artwork on the walls. Service is slow, with long lines on the weekends, but friendly. The coffee is good, not worth the exorbitant prices they charge, but good. I enjoyed the Yemeni latte (half sweet), and I loved the saffron milk cake. The Delah specialty coffee wasn't quite the way I expected ... the coffee grounds were very thick, and the coffee didn't steep well so it tasted very watered-down and grainy. The cardamom in it was generous though.

This is one of the newer cafes in the north park area and we LOVE IT. Decor is cute and lots of space to either work or connect. Definitely see a lot of folks meeting and hanging, which is nice to see. Selection of beverages and bites are unique and tasty. My husband and I like their hot chocolate. It's probably one of the best I've had and we go atleast once a week to treat ourselves. It's not too sweet and have a nice nutty flavor, though I do order it with almond milk and honestly, it's the way to go if you're not allergic. Staff is pretty friendly and they have a beeper system to keep the service moving and convenient while you wait for your order. Will try something else soon. Stop by!

Their cakes may be pricey, but…read morein my opinion, for the amount of work, effort, and quality of ingredients, I think they continue to be fair. For example, some other specialty bakeries/shops are charging similar prices for cakes and cheesecakes that are much simpler. In comparison, Extraordinary Dessert cakes take 3-4 days to make, have 6-8 alternating layers, and are typically adorned with edible gold and/or flowers. The key is to find which items you like and which are okay to pass on next time. What we ried this time: -Match Misu Cake (7/10): ricotta cake layers soaked in matcha and layered with marscapone whipped cream. This one was pretty good and ranks in my middle to high range. I only wish there was more matcha flavor (maybe if you dine in and get the sauce, this would help) or the matcha was paired with another flavor ... either go fruity (maybe a raspberry sauce, strawberry pieces, white peach pieces, or like a peach oolong cream layer) or go chocolately/coffee (maybe had some crushed up chocolate covered espresso beans). My go to's: -Ivoire Royale (10/10) - my ultimate favorite still. If you like light desserts, white chocolate, berries, and moist vanilla cake, thus one is for you. Classy and unpretentious -Shangrila (10/10) - my other favorite and will make you feel like a princess with all the pink chocolate curls. A little bit adventurous and innocently elegant. Ones to skip: -Au Chocolate / La Bete Noire / Dame Chocolate - get the Viking instead. That's my favorite of all their chocolate cakes -Lemon ricotta - get the Passionfruit Ricotta instead -Torta misu - the matcha misu is better. The tortilla misuse made me want a regular piece of tirmaisu than a cake version -Coconut cream - not bad, not amazing though

Also just so everyone is aware they're also liars just to mention & stupid.. she tells us her name is Karen thinking we don't know the owners name lol .. She was at the register at 7:20pm and was extremely rude and dismissive after we placed our order, especially regarding a child's dietary restrictions and health concerns. We politely asked if it would be possible to purchase a small cup of fruit , even just a couple strawberries cut up, because one child in our group cannot have sweets due to very strict dietary restrictions . Instead of simply saying they were unable to accommodate the request or offering another option, we were told to "go somewhere else," despite already spending the amount we did . The complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service was honestly shocking. It's disappointing to be treated that way at a place we have supported so consistently. This place has been going downhill , management for this place needs to step up .

Also, we had more than six people, and they included the tip in the bill, but they don't tell you that verbally and just hand you the machine to pay and it just shows the total and then asks you to fill in the tip amount.. So I asked to look at the bill and there's a charge near the bottom that says "charges and fees", I asked if that was the tip and she said yes.
