Such a vibe! Cool seating/conversation spaces (couches, tables, chairs, hightop). Kind & happy team members. So many beverage, toast, sammie & bowl options. Highly recommend the Post Workout Smoothie for protein, & the homemade cold brew is the best ever tried. Thank you, Kos, for what you offer to the neighborhood :-)
Located close to Petco park. Small amount of seating inside and out. Very little parking in the area. Either paid lots or metered. Order at register and grab a number. Drinks picked up on right side, food picked up on left side. Extra $1 for alternative milks. Tried: Peanut butter latte $7.25 - rich and nutty. For those who love peanut butter. Einspanner latte $7.50 - just okay. Had a ton of cacao powder on top of the cold foam. Turkey pesto ciabatta sandwich $12.75 - wasn't really a fan.
This coffee shop is tucked away in downtown and a bit hidden. Parking can be a challenge and you have to pay. This coffee shop is absolutely worth it though. The café has a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I ordered the peanut butter iced latte after seeing it all over social media, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was smooth, creamy, and had the perfect peanut butter flavor. As a huge peanut butter fan, this is easily one of my new favorite coffee drinks. I'll definitely be back to order it again!
I got the iced Matcha latte with almond milk and sugar sugar-free vanilla syrup. I like that they don't charge extra for non-dairy milk or flavorings. I will say I was disappointed when I saw him pouring out the Matcha that was already pre-mixed, for $7.50 I would have preferred it to be made fresh on the spot. The service is quick, and there's indoor and outdoor seating options. I could definitely picture myself bringing a laptop and working here for a few hours. It's a pretty mellow spot. I didn't get to try any of the pastries, but they looked good.
I liked the peanut butter latte- surprise, it tastes like peanut butter lol! Service was fast and friendly, I went close to when they opened and a line was already forming!
The customer service is great. Friendly and fast. I feel like that is something they're doing right here! The iced chai on the other hand is entirely too sweet. I didn't finish it, like left over 2/3 of it. It's premade and didn't appear to come out of a box which I did appreciate but the sugar, oh my gosh. I'm usually a hot chai person, and I do add honey so maybe that was my mistake but that is my signature drink and I've never had an issue anywhere else in the city. The place was busy so maybe their other drinks would have been better. I just wouldn't recommend the iced chai. The Mexican mocha had the exact opposite problem. It wasn't sweet at all. Not sure if that's the intention I just wasn't a fan. Super chill vibes inside, but it is nosy. Outdoor seating was pretty clean and so was the inside!
Went here right at opening on a Sunday and they staff was very friendly and welcoming. I went with the Greek mastic coffee. It was my first time trying it. It wasn't bad. It has a very distinct flavor profile to it and is very gritty so beware. My buddy got the Turkish coffee which was not your traditional Turkish coffee. It just seemed like espresso. No notes of cardamom or floral flavor. It was a smooth espresso but didn't seem like a traditional Turkish coffee. I also got the Papi latte with coconut milk and a few friends got other drinks. They were all good, but they are heavy on their milk pours so the lattes were very light and a bit too milky for most of us. The shop is very welcoming and they have a good amount of seating inside and out. Presentation and ambiance were just normal. Nothing special.
Got this drink from my student since he knows I like matcha lattes and he wanted me to try his favorite shop in downtown. If you like matcha and pistachio, this is definitely a must-try! :) I love trying new flavors and this is a good mix! Love the cream foam on top. Can't wait to go there in person and try more things!
Carlos Santana sang about her...Maria, Maria! Well, Kos has a Maria and she's one of the most friendly people I've met in a long time! It was so soooo nice chatting with her. Small world when we actually talk...communicate. Her daughter is a fellow runner! The spot is like the perfect street corner coffee shop. The junkies in the area kinda suck but it is what it is downtown nowadays. Don't let it deter ya from trying this place out. Ok, so the drink...this Peanut Butter Latte is unreal! I was immediately intrigued and it was a great choice.
Went on a hangout day with my niece and we tried the pistachio matcha and the caramel latte. I loved my matcha, I felt like there was a good balance of flavors with the pistachio. My niece also liked her latte, she said next time she would add more caramel. Good amount of seating and right across from the library which was nice !
Visiting San Diego for a few days and always looking to try new coffee spots. Today we went to Ko's Coffee in the East Village near Petco Park. We're not into fancy drinks, just a good drip coffee. Along with the warmed butter croissant, Ko's hit the spot. The service was friendly, decor has a cozy, relaxing vibe as well as a few tables along the tree lined street. The area isn't too busy with traffic (people/cars), so it was pleasant sitting out doors. We'd be back again!! Went back today because of the great experience we had yesterday. Disappointingly, my coffee was bitter. As I was waiting for our order, my coffee was sitting while a new pot had to be made for my husband's. I tried to drink it, but could not. I went in and spoke to the gentleman about my coffee and he graciously replaced it. customer service will bring us back again!
As a Matcha lover, I approve of this spot for Matcha. Located by Petco park in a small corner area. Parking is a hassle but that's nothing new when you're in downtown, so plan on searching for parking. It's worth the time. Inside, was modern and has adequate seating. The service was pleasant and my drink was made in decent timing. I ordered The Kos Latte: Organic Matcha, Pistachio Cream And Cold foam with almond milk. I ordered it half sweet since I wanted to taste the purity of the matcha. It did not disappoint. The drink was so creamy and rich with a nutty pistachio and matcha flavor. I savored every sip. I also appreciate the fact that they offer different cup size options and not just one size for all drinks. Glad I tried this place and I will be returning for more matcha and other items. Thanks Kos Coffee for putting so much passion into every drink.
AMAZING. I will be back. I'm happy I got to try. I never want the biscoff latte to leave :')

Wait time was kinda long but fair since the crowd from the Petco concert was lining up starting 10 AM. I was super excited for the biscoff latte and loved the first few sips but unfortunately it was too much to enjoy as a latte. read more
I really enjoyed this corner spot! No AC when I was there but they have tables outside and the food was really well presented. I got an iced coffee as well and that was tasty and also well presented. The pastries they had looked great too! read more

Ordered a small Kos Latte with soy milk on a Sunday morning. I want to say it looked like a 12 oz cup. It cost $7.25 without tax/tip included. I could taste the pistachio. If you like your matcha sweet, this one is for you. They added sprinkles of pistachio on it as well which was a nice touch. However, I couldn't really taste the matcha as much as I wanted. Kos is right next to the library and also near Petco Park. Paid parking available and one 15 min slot just right next to it if you're lucky. We stopped by this coffee shop near Petco Park and Gallagher Square while in town for the Holoholo Festival, and it was such a great first stop in San Diego! The service was wonderful , the woman who helped us (I think she might be the owner) was so sweet and really guided us in choosing drinks we'd enjoy. The barista (who I also thinks owns it) was also super friendly and made sure we were happy with everything. The drinks were tasty and unique. I tried the latte with pistachio cream on top and really liked it. My sister ordered the matcha with pistachio cream on top which was delicious (honestly, I wish I had ordered hers!), and my brother-in-law had espresso shots that he said were smooth and flavorful. The shop itself is clean, has a fun vibe, and even some great picture spots inside. Overall, it's a welcoming little spot that I'd recommend if you're in the area. read more

surprised I never tried this spot before - it always gives off chill vibes as it never seems too busy but there's always 1 or 2 people inside working on their laptop. the coffee tastes good, I liked enjoying my cup by the window. they have a good variety of drinks and food, the kitchen seemed busy as a lot of people would come in and go and order a food item, so next time I would try something to eat here. read more

I have been to Kos Cafe twice. The service is great. They are super nice and it doesn't take long to get what you ordered. The first time I got the pre-workout smoothie. This time I got a caramel macchiato and a brownie. The caramel macchiato was so good and was pretty strong. The do have non-dairy alternatives. The brownie a little salty for my taste. I am looking forward to trying the salmon toast and açaí bowl. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The seating is bar seating and tables. It isn't a large place but it's big enough to have multiple groups of people. read more

Kos Coffee is walking distance from Petco Park on K Street. The have been under way for a little over a month now and are offering some very espresso based beverages and eat, not to mention Turkish coffee. I had an iced coffee with whole milk and touch of cinnamon and a toasted asiago bagel with cream cheese. The iced coffee was good, but needed a little bit more milk. I requested more and they happily agreed to add more. The asiago bagel was of good quality and tasty. I liked that it offered a subtle chew, too. The bagel came heavy on the cream cheese, but delicious not matter. I look forward to trying one of their breakfast bagels. The service was good. I liked that they welcome you when you walk in. This coffee shop us family owned. read more
This is a small coffee shop located in East Village, right near the Padres stadium. Parking is basically street parking, and there are many spots in the area so keep that in mind. It's probably more of a neighborhood spot for people that work or live nearby. It's a small coffee shop that has different drinks, some pastries, and breakfast items such as Bagels and sandwiches. There is seating both inside and outside, mostly for small groups. I ordered the Pappi latte and the bagel sandwich. The Latte can be served iced or cold, with your choice of milk. It has pistachio cream and crumbles of pistachio on the top. I did enjoy this latte, I had it iced, but I do wish it had a bit more of the pistachio flavor in it as that is one of my favorite flavors, I will order this again and next time ask for just a little more. The Bagel sandwich had egg ham and cheese, and you can choose between a plain Aciago or everything bagel. The egg was cooked just right Kama which I appreciated Period I wish the bagel had been toasted a bit more, I will just make sure next time to request that. The service was very fast, and they were friendly. I believe they must have free wi-fi, as there were several people seated with their laptops set up, who appeared to be working. I'd say it's worth a stop by if you live in the neighborhood. read more
I stumbled upon this place when Achilles Coffee was not open when they said they'd be. This mama needed coffee and my toddler needed something for breakfast that she'd actually eat (not as easy as it sounds). The place is calm and relaxing and very clean with a lot of natural light. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. The owners were extremely friendly and let me know this was their fourth day being open! They are independently owned and are not affiliated with the coffeeshop that was here before them (apparently that one was rarely open and just bad). My daughter was delighted with a cream cheese bagel, and I got a steaming hot almond milk latte with the Yaya sandwich. It was really delicious and just enough food. They also have pastries and smoothies and bowls- I love that there's healthy options, which is also what the owners want. They are still working on some things (interior-wise) and may change up/add to the food menu in the future. They are gauging their clientele but hoping the whole family will stop in. This place is very welcome for families (there's juice boxes), dogs, or even to work or read a book. I am happy that I found this place on Google and decided to give it a try! read more
We usually dont get mocha's but on the recomendation of the barista we gave it a shot and were glad we did. The chocolate added a nice touch without being overwhelming or overly sugary. The amount you get for the price was pretty decent as well. The atmosphere helped a lot too. There was tones of natural lighting, a variety of good seating, natural season decorations, etc. I always appreciate it when there is seating for whatever you intention is and it seems like they had that whether you wanted to meet new people, work alone or catch up with a friend. Overall a great spot. read more
What a great find! The service was excellent, and the Mexican mocha was a pleasant surprise--I'm not usually a mocha person, but this one was fantastic. I also appreciate that they have plant milks, pastries, and food items like açai bowls. The space was clean and comfortable with lots of seating, and the convenient location near the library and Petco Park is a huge plus. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. read more

KOS coffee is one of the best flavored coffee shops I've had in downtown San Diego. It's close to the Padres Stadium! It's a cute quaint & clean local spot that's walkable for me. It's easy to miss because it is a small building but it's full of flavor so definitely worth a shot to try! I tried the peanut butter latte - something unique that I've never seen done before It was really good! For a medium latte (with no add ons or alternations) it was about 8 dollars (for a medium size)-- this price was very expensive for a latte My husband had the coconut matcha which again was also around 8 dollars It was a great quality matcha and it did taste good, but again pretty pricey for a medium. The flavor was not lacking anything, I would give KOS 5 stars for that, i just think the cost is a little over board. I could (maybe) see that price be justified if i had subbed for a diff milk and added some items but I just don't think this price is fair for what you get. I think KOS should re think the prices on the menu if they want to keep a customer base that returns regularly! With a menu so high cost it wouldn't be reasonable to do so currently. read more

This place is amazing ! We were in town for Comic con and stopped by. The store is really clean and cute with lots of seating . Incredibly kind people and such good food . I ordered a coconut matcha and my sister got a strawberry matcha . Both were delicious and made with care not rushed . The matcha quality is very good . We also got two smoothie bowls which were super tasty as well . The lady at the counter was so sweet and gave me a spider-man cup to match my shirt as well. Definitely recommend ! read more

Good spot next to Petco Park. Walking distance from Petco park and the San Diego Library. Service was so nice! I asked a bunch of questions because they have flavors of coffee I had never heard of before. I had the einspanner latte. It was good topped with cream. They have alot of unique items. There is no parking since it's downtown but can pay street parking or park at library if you are going there: they have 2 hour free parking if you visit the library. Calm ambiance coffee shop. I like how they had a comic con theme sticker. I walked over here from the convention center to see a comic con pop up and stumbled across this coffee shop. read more
