My First Impression I was on my usual early-morning mission: find my daily IV of coffee. That search led me here. Whenever I try a new café, I always recommend looking at the customer photos online--not just the polished owner-posted shots. Real customer photos usually tell the true story. In this case, the space felt more like a basic move-in-and-go setup than a place with much warmth or character. I walked in and asked the woman that was sitting in an area that was associated with the flowers if anyone was working the counter. A petite brunette came out from the back. I pointed to a pastry and asked, "Is this almond...?" She immediately started ringing it up. I stopped her and clarified, "No, wait--is it an almond pastry?" She glanced at the item, looked back at me, and rolled her eyes in a way that made me feel like I'd asked something unreasonable. Trying to move things along, I ordered a Blue Mocha something, a slightly warmed chocolate chip cookie, and then-- "You're going too fast," she said. That caught me off guard, especially since she was already typing into the register. I found myself wondering why such a simple interaction felt unnecessarily tense. Then I asked, while pointing to the display of paper and plastic cups, "Which size is a medium?" I was just trying to compare it to Starbucks sizing. Without making eye contact, without saying a word, she simply pointed. By then, I had already formed my impression. Hospitality doesn't require theatrics--just basic courtesy. A greeting, eye contact, a simple explanation, or even a neutral tone would have gone a long way. When the order was ready, she placed everything on the counter and said nothing. The coffee stop I hoped would brighten the morning did the opposite. Bottom line: disappointing service.
Adore coffee house is the first place to convert me to matcha ever since I tried their banana matcha. Their matcha is delicious, balanced, and the banana flavoring was just right. There's also a flower shop inside so really you can't go wrong with enjoying some matcha or coffee while browsing for some flowers or plants
I absolutely loved Adore Coffee -- such a great little spot. The coffee was perfect -- smooth, rich, and exactly what you want when you're craving something really well made. I also had the kombucha, which was super refreshing and tasted amazing. But the highlight for me was the fig and prosciutto -- WOW. The sweet and savory combo was just perfect. It tasted fresh, balanced, and honestly kind of addictive. Everything felt thoughtfully made, from the drinks to the food, and the whole experience was just really enjoyable. I'll definitely be coming back!
We decided to try out Adore Coffee House because it was within walking range from our hotel. The coffee shop looks new with less than 100 reviews on Yelp and most reviews are positive. First thing you notice when you step in to the shop is that they share the space with a floral company. Half the space is for the coffee shop and the other half is occupied by the floral shop. At around 10:30 am on a Monday there's around 4 people sitting around waiting for their order. The downside of this small coffee shop is that one person is in charge of everything. There was only 1 gentleman working behind the counter. He was the barista, cook and the cashier. Not ideal if you're in a rush. We ordered the fig & cheese toast, flat white and a iced match. The total came out to around $30 with tips. Service was a bit slow since it's one guy doing everything. It took around 15 minutes or so for our order. The flat white was perfect. The toast was a bit too sweet for my palette and the matcha had a little bit too much syrup. The shop seems like a great place to bring your laptop to work or study. It doesn't seem like they get a heavy amount of foot traffic which is probably why there's only 1 barista. But when there is a small rush there might be a little delay in service.
Passed by this coffee house on my way to an appointment and it caught my eye that I had to go in, especially after the folks at my appointment raved about the space. It's an absolutely adorable floral boutique and cafe that feels like a mini getaway. (I got my order to go, but seems like such a perfect place to say in and savor your pastries/food and drink). The owner helped me out and she was so sweet and welcoming. There is a very generous menu with things I think many people could enjoy. I ordered the chocolate croissant (my guilty pleasure) and a oat milk caramel flat white. The croissant was divine, so much as that when I got home with it, my cat pounced (and she's very picky about her pastries haha). The flat white tasted more like a latte, with a too much milk and not enough espresso, so I think I'd get it again with an extra shot or just a note to reduce the milk. All in all though, a really great spot for a girls' brunch or coffee date!
I got the blue moon signature drink which consists of espresso, spirulina, regular milk, and vanilla cold foam. I got oat milk to replace the standard regular milk although the vanilla cold foam does still have dairy in it. The drink is definitely aesthetically pleasing with the blue spirulina swirls on the bottom. But the taste is more mild than how it looks- I couldn't taste too much of the vanilla cold foam and tasted hints of the spirulina and espresso. If you are looking for more mild-tasting latte with no crazy flavors, this is your drink. They have 2 high top tables with a couple of chairs and one bigger table off to the side to sit at as well as some outside seating. I was able to find parking pretty easily just across the street at metered parking. It is also a shared space with a florist shop so there are pretty flower bouquets to look at/shop for.
DIDN'T ADORE THE PLACE (3 stars) My go to coffee shop was closed Christmas Eve. Another favorite coffee shop had relocated their shops in a further location from Cortez Hill - saw this place on the way home and said why not. Let me tell you why... not. :: ORDER :: BANANA LATTE ($7) - this item was on their Speciality Drink and I chose this particular one because I love banana flavor anything. Decaf, hot, whole milk. It was served in a generic with no branding of the cafe. First sip was strong of espresso flavor. It took a couple sips to begin to taste the banana flavor but the overall sip lacked sweetness and bitter - reminded me of a non ripe banana. After adding a half of sweetener, it was ok but still reminisce of bitter in the aftertaste. This is what I got for $7 (plus a dollar tip). No latte should be $7 and this drink has no justifiable reason to be that expensive to taste "just ok". :: SERVICE/AMBIANCE :: Service was average, barista was very nice. Ambiance was a little weird. It's in the corner in downtown and a very busy corner close to the exit of the 5 south bound. Inside is a lot smaller as the space is shared with a floral shop. Very limited tables and seating but not a comfy place to sit and work/study, didn't give off that vibe. As much as I wanted to adore the place, I didn't have an excitement reason to. Until the next review...
I got the taro latte and it was delicious. We got the brown sugar shaken espresso, whiskey latte, and sakura matcha and seriously everyone liked their drinks. I love how they have unique flavors. The service was good and friendly. Also the cafe is split between a flower shop as well. It has a nice ambiance inside with an industrial feel. It's a nice place to hang out with friends.
Food: toast was delicious! Drink: friend and I got the Luna taro latte with coconut milk and it was pretty good something unique but I love taro so it was good! Service: lady was so kind did not meet owner but she was there. Ambiance: went on a cloudy day kinda dull inside. Definitely small but good study spot
The lady was register was so nice and helpful in deciding what drink to get. It was good, not too sweet but i wish the cold foam was a little thicker. Overall really good
I had the Blue Spirulina Coffee. I stuck to what I saw on IG. It was very good! I definitely would recommend. The barista was polite and nice. The coffee was tasty and the shop itself was very cute. I loved the decorative bike on top of the refrigerator flowers. Parking is a little hard to find; I recommend going during the week as soon as it opens. It wasn't busy and there were two spots facing west and right in-front of the coffee shop.
Their strawberry croissant was so good! I thought it was going to be sweet but it wasn't everything came together perfectly. The bread was soft and delicious! And the coffee was so good I went the following day for round 2 ! Service was amazing. Staff was very friendly especially when it was my first time there. And inside there is a flower boutique Incase you want to get someone flowers on the way home. Highly recommend
Adore Coffeehouse in downtown San Diego is an absolute gem. My boss and I decided to stop by after hearing great things, and it completely lived up to the hype--actually, it exceeded it. This is hands-down the best coffee I've had in the U.S. It's smooth, flavorful, and doesn't have that burnt or stale taste you find at the big chains. You can immediately tell they take their coffee seriously here. My boss got the Sakura coffee and the banana cream/bread dessert in a can (yes, in a can--super unique and delicious). I went with the shaken espresso and the tiramisu dessert in a can, both of which were incredible. One of the employees--super friendly guy with blue hair--recommended I also try the Whiskey coffee (non-alcoholic), and wow... I would come back just for that. The depth of flavor was unreal. The space itself is beautifully curated, with a shared layout that includes a flower shop and pottery area. It's got a chill, creative vibe that makes it a great spot for a mid-day break or casual meeting. Major shoutout to the blue-haired barista--super knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. Can't wait to come back for another one of his recommendations.

This place is a little gem is hidden in downtown. My previous hair stylist took my daughter and I Here and since then we've been here about 8 times. You'll love all the matchas and coffees. Unique colors and flavors and I've bought a bouquet of flowers here too. They sell them behind the glass and I believe they offer flower arrangements classes there too. Their coffee is delicious and I've enjoyed all the unique flavors. read more

This place is such a charming little corner café that's also a floral boutique, making it a unique and cozy spot to visit. The large windows let in plenty of natural light, and the corner lined with books for sale adds to the inviting atmosphere. It's definitely the kind of place where you can relax with a drink and stay for a while. I ordered the shaken espresso, which was light-bodied and pretty straightforward. It had a bold brown sugar flavor with a stronger espresso presence than milk, so it's a great option if you enjoy your coffee less creamy. My boyfriend got the Luna Taro, which I think is the better choice if you prefer something sweeter and creamier. The taro flavor came through nicely, and it barely tasted like coffee, which was exactly what he was looking for. The only downside was the cleanliness of the restroom. Both the trash bin by the counter and the one inside the restroom were overflowing, so I think that's an area they could improve. There is a lot of street parking so this coffee house is very accessible despite being in a busy area. The vibes are amazing, offering a lot of natural lighting while you work or read a book. They have the flower shop attached which is nice. They also have a variety of patties and food options. The coffee was a little too sweet for me, but it was very creamy and tasted really good. Even the marshmallow was very good which is not what I was expecting! The chai, on the other hand, was not very strong and tasted more watery than creamy. I would come here again and try more things one the menu:) read more

I'm not sure if I have the right location here, but the pictures look fairly old and could use an updated review! Adore Coffee is a Ukranian café that shares the space with a gift shop and sell select arrangements from coffee + flowers. I've always seen the cute baby blue umbrellas in front of the café and you can see the flower bouquets from outside. So far, I've tried the Blue Spirulina Vanilla Latte, Sakura Matcha Latte, and Smoked Salmon Toast. Literally everything, and I mean everything was crafted so beautifully and tasted delicious. The smoked salmon toast had a nice ratio of salmon to cream cheese and capers. It's a lovely spot to lounge at and enjoy coffee and a quick breakfast. They have cute desserts as well and I'm planning on stopping by again for those! read more

My boyfriend and I were looking to pick up some coffee and a quick breakfast and stumbled upon this place. Appropriately named, Adore Coffee House is an adorable little coffee spot with specialty lattes and pastries + they also share the space with a floral shop! We tried the banana matcha and Sakura matcha lattes as well as the breakfast croissant and prosciutto toast. Lattes were both yummy and the food was surprisingly filling. Great if you're in downtown and need a quick pick-me-up! read more

This place is located near my partner's area, and we've both seen this place from its start, change in interior, its offerings, and the flux in prices and people as it has established itself. While I admittedly favor their food more than their espresso and coffee drinks, those drinks are still enjoyable and I will still happily buy and try out different drinks and food and support this business. They have an extensive menu! I've drunk their chai, ruby cacao, banana milk latte. I enjoy the seltzers a lot. The breakfast croissant is a staple go-to, but I've also had their goat cheese and fig jam toast, prosciutto toast, French toast, and banofee dessert (banana + toffee) in a can. I've eaten from here multiple times and continue to do so because their sweet and savory options are absolutely delicious. The service is very friendly, and wait time generally depends on the amount of people in there. Food, drinks, and even the interior are beautifully presented. I love this spot as a hangout spot--large window-walls and seating right by them, nice lighting and warmth, maybe enough seating for 5 to 7 2 or 3 people groups and two small tables outside--but not so much as a remote work spot. To the right of the entrance, there aren't any outlets for charging. I think there are a few outlets to the left, in the space that is shared with flower shop but also has tables for Adore customers. read more

Great indy coffee shop! The coolest thing about this place is that it actually has drinks that are different. For reals. Not just the same latte with syrup. I had the blue moon which has spirulina in it. Not only is it beautiful in it's presentation, but it tasted great and very unique. My cutie pie girlfriend had the taro drink. Both were excellent! Super nice staff as well. So good in fact that I came two days in a row. This morning I'm eating the goat cheese and fig jam toast which is absolutely delicious. And just a note to the person who reviewed and didn't "adore" the place - you simply didn't mix your drink. LOL. It's served in layers so it's beautiful but if you don't mix it you're going to taste the flavor depending on where your straw is. Isn't that obvious? Oh well. To each his own. And the prices? Yeah, it's not cheap, but what is nowadays post Covid? I'm coming back next time I'm in San Diego. Definitely. Say no to Corporate coffee ! read more

What a lovely spot to have a delicious meal & beverage! Located in conjunction with a flower shop, the atmosphere is lovely and calming. The meal options are beautifully presented and extremely tasty! We loved everything we had: goat & fig glaze toast; prosciutto & arugula toast w/ fig glaze; & French Toast (croissant with mascarpone-vanilla cream with blueberries). The coffee was amazing!!!! I am not sure about how busy it is during the week, but the weekend was very manageable as it is located in a business district with limited housing. Im a big coffee lover and wanted to try this place. My sister mom and I went here! The place it's super cute!! Struggle to find parking but cute place! It has tables to sit down and drink your coffee! I ordered a simple iced latte with almond milk and a salmon toast. My sister ordered a caramel iced coffee with a salmon toast and Mom ordered s pumpkin spice latte with a breakfast croissant. I told the girl Who helped us we wanted everything for here. We got our drinks in to go cups. I didn't mind but my mom did! She likes her hot lattes in actual cups not in a plastic one but we didn't make a big deal. Food came out and wow wow wow it was so bomb!!! I highly recommend this place is super fresh, tasty, and delicious. read more

The breakfast foods here are absolutely delicious and have very unique flavors; their menu isn't that of a bland, normal, breakfast food place. The people are friendly, smiling way to start your day, and the ambiance is so great with it being connected to a flower shop! They even give pup cups to your furry friends! read more
I'm so confused by all these good reviews. It should be 2 stars for the coffee because it was terrible. Only reason I'm giving 3 is because the place is cute inside. I ordered the brown sugar oatmilk latte and it came out completely brown. It didn't look like there was any oatmilk in it. I got it 75% sweetened and it was still super sweet. You know your coffee is about to be terrible by the color. And so I went on to taste it and sure enough tasted like there was no oatmilk in it. I drank some of it and went back to ask to add oatmilk in it. And it was better but not by much. My sister in law got the same and hers had barely a splash of oatmilk too and didn't taste good. My husband ordered a Taro latte and it didn't taste like coffee at all. Definitely won't be coming back to this coffee shop. So many other great options in San Diego. read more
This is my new favorite coffee place! Very convenient location off 5th with cute outdoor seating and matching interior. The space is shared with a florist and I was admiring their purple roses! We went on a Sunday morning and while we were the only ones there at first, about 6 others came in after. The barista was friendly and graciously answered our questions. I decided on the iced taro latte and the rose cold brew. While the pricing seemed a little high, the drink itself is large and crafted very well, not to mention a pretty presentation (they were pink & purple). The drinks themselves are delicious with the perfect blend of espresso and flavor and not too sweet. I will be coming back soon to try the other drinks and perhaps the different toasts and pastries they have! read more
Love their menu, there's some cute drinks that are different from the norms. I went with rose cold brew and the egg stuffed breakfast croissant and a sweet croissant to share, everything was delicious. I would especially go back to try more of their cold brews! read more

We were walking around waiting for our hotel check in when we stumbled across this cute cafe. when we walked in, we noticed that it was next to a little flower shop which made the café smell very nice and fresh. There was a lady who took care of us and she was so sweet and nice. We got the Sakura Matcha and a strawberry croissant, the Matcha had a nice light flavor of cherry blossom and the strawberry croissant had a nice fresh flavor with the vanilla cream! Will definitely be coming here again during our stay!! read more
