    Vanilla latte with avocado toast
    Maddy K.

One of my favorite coffee shops I've tried in the area! The place is very quaint and has a fair amount of seating options to dine in/sit outside. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in! I really enjoyed the flavor of coffee and the syrup flavor options. They have a few specialty drink options as well that sounded good. The avocado toast was amazing- very fresh tasting and there are two different bread options to choose from. Definitely recommend trying out!

Adorable little cozy coffee shop with an equally adorable title, Kind Coffee. It's really nice inside, super spacious. The barista, really, really nice - kind . I had Americano and they have oat and almond milk for non-dairy choices. And really cute area inside. They do close early at 1 p.m., check them out, give them some love. CC accepted

Such a friendly and cozy vibe! I've walked by this spot a few times and didn't realize there's a bigger living room type seating area in the back! I appreciated the nice marble tables and real dishes/silverware. You can tell there is a lot of thought put into every aspect of your experience. They were pretty much sold out of pastries by 10am so I had their oatmeal, it was sweet and hearty! I also appreciated the local art for sale on the walls and the general vibe was very down to earth. Will definitely be back to try more menu items! Just be aware they close pretty early!

Our barista is very focused on getting the perfect cup of coffee. Mission accomplished!

A delightful one of a KIND coffee shop with a serene, calm vibe and delicious coffee - made to make us smile and write a very KIND review. It is easy to give 5 stars for the service as well - because both Glorissa and Lyn (Jocelyn) are most accommodating! Keeping this KIND-of short and sweet, just like the small, cute and sweet coffee shop...

We were in the area for a week and found this little coffee spot right at the corner of the street. The menu included classic espresso drinks as well as some specialty drinks and drip coffee. There were also a few breakfast and pastry options. We got a latte, avocado toast, chocolate croissant, and a drip coffee. The drip coffee (Ethiopia) was particularly good. It was tangy and great for someone who likes light toast. The avocado toast was crispy and lightly seasoned with red chili peppers. The chocolate croissant had lava chocolates inside when warmed. Overall we were satisfied with the coffee and food. However, service efficiency could be improved. It took over 20min to get all of our coffee and food. While our coffee was in a dine-in cup, they made our avocado toast and croissant in a to-go box (no big deal though). The drip coffee came out quite late after we finished the toast and croissant.

Avocado toast was 100% amazing! Great bread, great flavor, great portion (huge!). The cappuccino we ordered was smooth and a great flavor. They have a pistachio zest syrup which i ordered with matcha. Matcha was well rated on their website but honestly it was extremely grainy. Wish I got a latte instead The workers (owners?) were extremely friendly and so sweet! They did great with the space and the coffee

Cute little coffee shop, we came on a weekday morning and it wasn't busy at all. I got the banana nut iced coffee, and my bf got a vanilla latte and avocado toast. The coffees took a while to come out, longer than we would've liked. The banana nut had a strange aftertaste, but it might not have been my cup of tea is all. My bf liked the avocado toast, the bread was high quality and the flavors were nice, latte was basic though

Great quick service. The avocado toast was delicious and the dirty chai latte were a great pairing. Nice coffee house with trending tones to kick off your day.

    Zesty Pistachio Latte
    Danny W.

The Zesty Pistachio Latte was smooth, sweet, and had a fun citrus twist from the orange zest on top. Service was solid, and there was plenty of seating inside. Parking can be tricky due to the location and metered spots, but it's worth a visit if you're in the Cortez Hill area.

This is an amazing spot to grab coffee or breakfast. They pay so much attention to every detail of your beverage--truly hand crafted. I loved the avocado toast and tried both breads they are seasonally offering. The passion fruit matcha tonic is also 10/10. The baristas are super friendly and the atmosphere is v cute.

Iced Spiced Chai Latte 10/10 - added almond milk - good balance of spices and sweetness - not too sweet, more on the spice side Crumbonne 10/10 - monkey cinnamon pull apart bread - Not too sweet perfect for the morning Very happy I pumped into this little coffee shop. My drink and pastry were really good, the flavors were light and not too sweet which was great for the morning. The barista was kind, he made small talk with me and recommended me his favorite pastries. This coffee shop is laid back and cozy, perfect place to study or get some work done.

    Lemon Loaf & Cortado
    Jack M.

I am so happy that I stumble upon this small business locally owned coffee shop. The young lady who owns it made me a fantastic cortado. It was quite robust in flavor but well balanced. I also had a lemon loaf with the cortado. The loaf came from a local bakery. The coffee shop offers inside and outside seating. The inside seating is vast and very comfortable. Kind coffee offers a melee of espresso based beverages, teas, and baked goods. They also make avocado toast. The service was very good.

Went here on my most recent visit to SD. The barista was so friendly, and we ended up striking a convo about pretty names. I could've sat there for hours. Even the other patrons I encountered greeted me with a friendly hello. Coffee was really good as well. I had their black batch and the rosemary hazelnut with oat milk. I loved them both! Definitely one that I'll keep coming back to when I visit.

I ordered the Island Girl Coffee, a macadamia latte, and asked for it less sweet. To me, it tasted very similar to a flavored hazelnut latte from Starbucks. That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered.
