Of course Tita's is the best go to for fast Filipino foods. Of course we never learn, and always over order resulting in leftovers for days! Everything was typical and filling for the most part. They do not have hot sauce and their chicken Adobe was extra sour this time around. But now I know my kiddos prefer the BBQ skewers out of everything we ordered& of course the lumpias.

This was our first visit here and we now understand the reason for their incredible reputation. My mom's father was Filipino but, unfortunately, didn't know anything about the culture or food. My husband had beef adobo and he loved the savory and juicy meat. My mom tried the chicken adobo and she was very impressed. I chose the kare-kare, simply because someone recommended it. This stew is hearty and warming; definitely an order again item. I wish I had been able to try the garlic rice, but you have to get there early or it's gone!

Always excellent Filipino food here. The line is always out the door on Saturdays. Many families coming to eat Saturday and Sunday breakfast and lunch. My Husband and I came to pickup 100 tray lumpia and large tray pancit for a family party event. To pickup preordered catering, you enter through the ice cream counter door (door closest to Valerio's Bake Shop next door). That way, you can pay by card and they will bring your catering order out on a cart. This was the shortest time we waited to pickup catering and it was great. Thanks Tita's for always making great Filipino food! I wish that that made chicken or veggie lumpia but I love the pork lumpia that they have.

You definitely want to come early if you plan on ordering here because the food sells out fast and the lines can get crazy. That alone should tell you how good this spot is. I never remember the names of half the dishes here, so I usually just ask them what's good and try something new every time. So far, everything I've ordered has been a hit. The pancit and rice are a must though. I order those every time. The chicken adobo is really good too! If you get overwhelmed trying to decide, they do have combos which makes it a bit easier. But if you're a real foodie and willing to take a little risk trying something new, this place is fire. Prices aren't bad at all, the portion sizes are generous, and the flan is actually really good too. I got to try the ice cream and it was a hit! I got pandan and ube. Portion size was great and price was even better. Customer service is friendly and helpful, especially when you're standing there like me trying to figure out what to order. Just come early.. because once they sell out, that's it.

Tita's in National City never disappoints!! Best sinigang there is :) they are quite generous with the sabaw and gulay as long as you ask! I also order lumpia here, especially when I am catering for parties. I typically call the day before and morning of to confirm my order for pick up. They are long pieces and def worth the cost. They serve other delicious Filipino cuisines as well that remind me of my childhood. An honorable mention goes to the prom and chicken bbq. I have to buy a couple skewers because they're too good not to! I always have a hospitable experience there. If you're looking for Filipino home style, check out Tita's!!

The line can get a little long but Service is very fast food looked delicious and fresh. They kept it coming, prices are fair. I wanted to get fish a two piece combo but it was an additional seven dollars for the fish so I just got rice and diniguon I like the diniguon a little bit more vinegar, but it was still good. There's some seating for sitting down no special decor pretty basic.

Came in at midday to a line of about 15 people in front of me. After trying titas, I can see why they're always busy. I got a two item combo and opted for the pork adobo and the chicken curry for my two items. I opted for the half rice and half pancit, and added a few lumpias. While checking out, I've noticed barbecue chicken skewers being cooked over an open fire, and added that as well. They were very generous with the portion sizes, easily making one combo good for three to four meals. My favorite was the barbecue chicken skewer, which was perfectly flame grilled and tender. The pancit was also very flavorful. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area! As for ambiance, it's a takeout style place.

This restaurant was suggested to me for the best Filipino food and it didn't disappoint. Good food with large servings. Very friendly customer service and clean restaurant.

Late post! Was recommended by daughter to try the chicken BBQ here so had lunch here after a 2 hour trip ! There was a long line as expected due to lunch rush hour! This fast food restaurant offers variety of Filipino dishes in 1-2 entrees combo plates like Kare kare Bistek Sinigang Lechon kawali Bbq skewers Lumpia Menudo Fried fish Pancit Adobo and many more Ala Carte items are also available for take out! I was just not expecting a cold reception from the staff serving behind the hot buffet counter ... the hospitality warmth greeting I didn't feel while picking my 2 entrees!!! Food was ok ! Amazing large cut portion of the skewered Chicken BBQ made my day ! I am not sure if it will be fun to have another visit ! But I still recommend to give this location a try for the food experience !!

The hype is real for this restaurant. It's always busy regardless of the time you go. The portions are very very generous where we shared a 2 item plate and still had leftovers for the next day. We stopped in since we were in the area and ordered a 2 item plate with pancit. Pancit- very yummy. Reminds me of my friend's grandma cooking Pork adobo- very tender meat in a sour sauce Bbq pork skewers- this was so good, sweet and tangy sauce and very tender meat Lumpia- so good and perfectly crispy Definitely worth the wait. Will be back to try their desserts.

The food at Tita's is good and consistent. I also like that they open early to get first pick of their menu items. This time around I made the mistake of going around noon, so the parking was a mess, and they ran out of sisig :( Service is friendly. The line seems long, but it moves fairly quickly.

Harry P.

Five stars for the price and value alone. The wait can be a little long, but the line moves fast and is totally worth it. Prices are affordable, portion sizes are huge, and the food is satisfying and filling. You definitely get more than what you pay for here. Everything feels comforting and made with care, which makes it even better. If you're looking for great value, generous servings, and food that's worth every penny, Tita's Kitchenette delivers. Highly recommended!

BBQ Chicken - 8/10

After over 20 years, this place is still on point with the BBQ chicken! The halo halo with ice cream was delicious as well! They give very large portions! We paid around $65 for (4) BBQ Chicken skewers, (1) Bangus, Pancit, Chicken Adobo, Dinoguan, Kare/Kare, Sinigang, and (2) Halo Halo with ice cream. Service was great! Workers were friendly and pretty efficient. Restaurant is clean. There are napkins, condiments, and to-go supplies readily available. There was a long line outside the door but it went by at a decent time. The best part is that you can sample and taste dishes, the food is delicious, and the prices are affordable! There is space to sit, but this place can get busy and rightfully so... It's definitely worth the wait if there is a line lol

When I picked up food yesterday there were people eating inside. There's only a few tables available though.

It's also nice that they gave you atsara (pickled papayas) on the side together with the other sauces to dip your food, to add more enjoyable flavors. It's a self service.... you grab your tray, pick your favorite skewers and drinks of choice, pay your order at the register, and go ahead to the grilling station at the back, where you can enjoy the fun grilling your food. Each skewer is really cheap for $2 each but be careful because it adds up quick! It can go expensive before you realized it, lol! I really liked the bangus, they fried it and it's big and so fatty which I love but the only thing was, they don't have tomatoes that should go with it. It's very homey-Filipino style and they are very nice. They also sell taho on some days.

It seems that whenever I get called to Chula Vista, National City or Mira Mesa, there's always a lola waiting for me with a broken PC and a plate of pancit or a freshly-fried stack of turon. Years ago, knowing that those friendly, insistent ladies will offer to feed me, no matter the time of day, I started scheduling appointments to their houses at lunchtime, because, well, it's just bad manners to say "no, thanks, I already ate." On my own, I learned to love kare-kare and the popular Pinoy variants of pork. I still crave the Rellenong Alimango (stuffed crab) I had, years ago, at a Filipino food stall in Singapore. After the bars close, I'll often hunt down a plate of sisig. And I'll follow any such meal with something sweet, like hopia, halo-halo, or anything ube. But I'm also a big fan of Filipino breakfast, and that's where Zarlito's comes in. I've never eaten there after 10 am, and while I'm sure I'm missing a lot of good stuff, I've been happy with the breakfasts I've been served, not least because the ladies running the place are kind, always seeming tickled to see a large white man enthusiastically chomping through plates of their food. The beef was well seasoned but a little tough honestly, it was still really good the eggs were cooked perfectly, sunny side up and nice and runny. The garlic rice was a nice balance to the dish as well. The spam was cut at a decent thickness and added a good depth of flavor to the meal. And the lumpia was alao pretty good. The truck was supposed to open at 11 but when we arrived at noon, they were just opening up. Obviously not ideal that they were an hour late but that meant we were 4th in line. We ordered the pork sisig and adobo lumpia and were told that it would be 20-25 minutes. Totally get that they're hand-rolled to order and that it's only one person. But if we're the 4th order, then you should have a decent idea of how long it's going to take you to prep and serve to set expectations accordingly. Over an hour later we got our food which was great - crispy and well filled. The garlic sauce was nice and punchy. The adobo was a little bland and didn't make a lot of sense with the sweet chili sauce. I think a traditional vinegar, garlic, and pepper dip would have been more true to the OG flavor. I'd rather be told it'll be an hour and then have it ready sooner if that manages to happen, but over-promising on the wait time is just a bummer. I'm not sure if I'd try Lia's again.
