UPDATE This is my second review . I cannot say enough about this company again. A kind man named Carlos came all the way from LA county this morning to fix something that i assumed was not working. He explained to me that it was ok and it is "up to the new enviromental standards". He did not charge me and i offered to give him gas money. i was so impressed with Carlos. We hired this company to address a toilet issue (leak around base and slow flush) at my dad's house. The plumber was polite, professional, and arrived on time. I wasn't there in person, but my dad kept me informed throughout the visits. He was given an estimate of $1,750, which included putting a camera in the main sewer line, snaking the main line, and replacing the toilet. The main line was ultimately not snaked because the camera showed it to be clear, yet the total charge was still $1,750 for the camera inspection and replacing the toilet. I was surprised that the toilet itself wasn't ruled out first, especially as no other fixtures were affected. My dad was relieved the problem was solved, but I can't help feeling this could have been solved a lot more simply for much less cost. I would strongly encourage others -- particularly those helping elderly family members -- to ask detailed questions, clarify what will and will not be charged, and consider getting a second opinion before approving major work. read more

What didn't go well? Alessandro was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable on our AC/Heat unit. Backstory, we've had difficulty having several techs from other companies unable to explain as well as diagnose what the problem was. Alessandro came, saw and conquered the unit. His expertise was so impressive. Alessandro was able to explain and even showed visuals for comparison. What a difference. Highly recommend Alessandro to have service done on your AC/Heat units should you need assistance. We have three units and we'll absolutely be requesting him again. Thank you so much! read more

A few weeks ago I had an estimate done on my rental property. The two other plumbing companies gave me a super extremely high estimate. they wanted to swap out the water heater for a new one, which was very expensive. The last service guy was super honest and gave me an estimate for parts to change out rather than replacing the whole unit. It is not very old, so it seemed more logical to me. The technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. I wish more technicians were honest like this young man Alex Tejeda. He gave me an option to swap it out, and it was less expensive than the others but at this time repair was the best scenario. it was not in the budget at this present time. read more

Absolutely the best experience with a plumber and I'm 68 yrs old. Shawn x 2 were professional, knowledgeable & honest. The sump pump had been buried under concrete & they had to cut it out. Fixed a defective original install & replaced the burned out pump. Not an easy job by all means. The two of them worked together flawlessly. They actually completed the whole job in one afternoon. Something rare to see these days. The clean up was awesome. I didn't have to point out a thing. I would definitely recommend these young men for any plumbing problems. You won't be disappointed. Be careful with these guys! My house in Tarzana recently had an outdoor pipe burst while I was away traveling. Two major issues with this company which is why I'm taking the time to write this so others can be aware. This happened around 10pm at night so it was dark. My father couldn't figure out how to shut off the valve to the outdoor pipes. My house has two valves for inside and outside. So he got on google and started calling plumbers and found MVP. The ONLY good thing about this company was that they did send someone fairly quickly. The plumber arrived and turned off the outdoor valve. He then wrote up an repair for $700 to fix the broken pipe. The FIRST big issue was when he left, the indoor water was also turned off. The next day I called the company and asked to speak with the plumber, Michael. He said when he arrived one of the valves was already turned off when he arrived but he couldn't tell me which valve he turned off. I'm guessing my father, in his panic to shut off the water only turned off the inside water. This plumber, being a "professional", should have said, hey I see you turned off both valves, you no longer will have water inside the house. He should have turned that inside back on to see if it would effect the leaks. So because he didn't do this, the next day my father had to go back to the house and over Facetime I had to guide him to turn the inside water back on. He then verified the broken pipes weren't leaking. This is something the plumber should have done, especially if I'm paying $150. The SECOND big issue with this company was the quote Michael provided. When I asked him about it and how he got to $700 he told me the sprinkler valve needs to be replaced and the part is $200. It's not. They're about $70 as I've replaced many of them over the years. He was trying to use fear mongering of the bursted pipes for me to act on this and ok the project. I told him no thanks. I called my usual plumber and he went the same day and fixed it for $340. Never needed to change any sprinkler valves. So really be careful with these guys...you'll pay more and not get great service...but they will send someone quick! read more

MVP CAUTION .. Do NOT TRUST!! Called for a quote on 75 gallon water heater replacement. EZ access, simple in and out. Estimator on phone with supervisor for 40 min. QUOTE was $8500 !! WTH.. *. Quotes 2 and 3 were $3600, and $3850. They had the nerve to call me 2 days later to follow up on the service quote. Really? Shocker is MVP is the company I've many times for rentals and last drain clog cost me $4,000 because of extensive declogging, or was I taken advantage of then too. read more

MVP Plumbing is top notch. They took care of a major plumbing issue that involved the main sewer line that was causing plumbing back flow my bathrooms. Daniel showed me the issues. Adam A. worked endlessly until the main line was cleared by removing roots that altered the integrity of the main line, then perm liner within the pipe, as there were several cracks. Prior to this jetting and descaling was needed to remove roots that damaged the pipes. Then camera was inserted again to take post imaging work. This was to insect and insure the internal liner's integrity was patent. Finally, placing pavers and turf like nothing ever occurred. Adam nailed it. Thank you for your prompt response, care for my hardscape, timing for water use, and excellent communication all the way through. This was a disaster but was fixed in a timely manner. Sean and his crew did an amazing job in my apartment complex. They spent 3 weeks redoing the entire plumbing. Communication with all the tenants were great and he let us know when they were going to enter our units to work. They were all very respectful of personal property and made sure nothing was broken or damaged. When they completed the work, not only did they clean up my apartment, but they vacuumed the rug and placed good fresh sent to warm up the place. I highly recommend that anyone with plumbing, heating, AC or electricity issues to call MVP. If you can get Sean to come out and work on your home or building then you will be extremely satisfied. He's a very hard worker, pleasant to communicate and his crew was amazing. I am recommending to my sister, who I gave snapshots of the work. she is always looking for plumbing, electrical work in her house. The worst of the worst I'll start off by saying that Carlos (the actual plumber that came out) was very nice and really wanted to help, and I felt he was a good guy.) Unfortunately the hydra-jet that he performed did not cure my drain problem. (yet they still charged me and I had to argue to get a refund). Where the "worst of the worst" come in, is the salesman, I won't name him, but Kxxxxx was a wonderful salesman and great fear monger. He really had me going, and I almost took the bait. He was going to charge me $4500 to dig up a 3' section of sewer pipe, and with the understanding that if it was broken further down the line, it was $4500 again and again. Now the real dishonest part.... he only put his camera in 25' and told me that is as far as he will go because he was worried the camera would get stuck. The plumber I called after I dismissed MVP was "The Sewer Brothers", they came out and without any hesitation, they ran the camera 138' and found that that section of pipe was NOT EVEN THE PROBLEM!!! So all the money I may have paid to MVP would have been "down the drain"? Bad pun, but bad sales people, horribly dishonest sales tactics with all the lies & fear mongering. I had called about a month ago but hadn't gotten around to writing a review. I called MVP about a dishwasher issue, I was so upset because my dishwasher had not been working properly for some time. Steven informed me that they didn't work on appliances but said he would see if he could help me, he quickly found an appliance repair near my house and gave me their contact information. Although he didn't have to help me, I'm glad he cared enough to take a few seconds out of his day for me. If Steven is any indication of how the rest of the employees are, then their customers are in great hands! I'll definitely call back if I have any plumbing issues. You have the right to change any amount you want but $2,800 to reset a toilet is hard to understand. Even if you itemized the bill I don't understand. My 83 yo mother called MVP Plumbing to help with a couple of toilets in her home that would not stop running. She was told that MVP would need to replace a one-inch pressure regulator and pressure relief valve. They also needed to replace the toilet fill valve. The work was done to her satisfaction. However, she was charged $3,439. The contract stated that she was given a 20% discount, so the original price was $4,400. When I learned that she paid this amount, I was so upset, especially when I found the same replacement parts at Home Depot for less than $500. I contacted MVP and asked for details on why the service provided came to this high price. Though the person I spoke to seemed understanding about my inquiry, I have still received no explanation. I know many companies take advantage of people, and it feels very much like this is what has happened to my Mom. FOLLOW UP: Since leaving this review, we were offered a 20% discount and received more details on what the job entailed. It was explained to me that their pricing reflects the EXPERIENCE of the service provided. My Mom appreciated the experience during the repair work, and I will give 4 stars based on her opinion. I, on the other hand, would look for a more affordable option. read more

MVP Plumbing is an absolute nightmare! These snakes in the grass are nothing but crooks. They stole my money, charged me an arm and a leg, and didn't fix a single thing. If anything, they made my plumbing issues worse, pulling problems out of thin air just to pad the bill. To top it all off, they had the audacity to make false claims to my insurance, trying to scam even more money. I requested a service, they told me over phone it cost $750 and I have to pay 10% upfront, I accepted and I paid because water was going to my garage due to the drainage clog, then they called me and said, since its raining you have to pay double and cost is $1500. I was desperate, so I said ok, then technician showed up and said there are roots in the pipe, clogging the pipe, it cost me $4000 to clean up! I said no, thank you. They charged me $1500 to tell me my drain is clogged! which was obvious!
