Definitely has the feel of an Irish pub. The staff was great and service was really good. Was happy they served Smythics on tap as it's hard to find. Tried a corned beef sandwich and the cheese curds. Both were pretty good. Just wish they had a larger food menu as there wasn't much to choose from.

Mo's had been my favorite for grilled cheese and tomato soup for years but I hadn't thought about it for breakfast/brunch before. But they really kill it with their breakfast items and brunch perfect beverages. We had a LARGE group today and they took great care of us. (How out several kept everything straight is beyond me but she was fantastic) And the room we were in was so cozy with bookshelves and fireplace

We went to third street market hall and couldn't find something we could agree on. We ended up going to Mo's for fish fry. When in WI .. It's a bit pricey so we split an entree and got 6 wings with garlic Parm and the BBQ. We were going to a show afterwards and this was just enough food. We also got a tap beer and a cider. The fish was perfect along with some fries. The coselaw was meh.

Really cute bar... iconic Irish pub with some modern additions. It appears there is a winter menu and hours vs non winter hours/menu. It's my 1st time here. The menu is more limited in person vs website. But still decent variety. I tried the "Irish float". It's pretty decent for someone who does not really like the taste of alcohol. Or The beer menus is extensive. Location is right in the middle of things, near the river. I ordered the Pub burger. (Double cheese burger) it was ok as it just comes with bread as meat. I was warned by the waitress. But kept it as the burger was meant to be. The menu price for the drink did not match what k was charged. Drink was $7. Receipt charged me $8. Not a big deal. But prefer accurate pricing. Only realized it after getting to hotel.

Met some friends for lunch in Saturday at Mo's. I arrived 15 minutes early and they asked if I wanted to wait or be seated right away. I chose to sit and ordered a Blue Moon while I was waiting. The server was very attentive. When my first friend arrived the server came right over to take his drink order. Ten minutes later when our other friend arrived he was quickly back to take her drink order and said he would give us a few minutes to look at the menu and would be back. About 10 minutes later he was back to get our food orders. I ordered a fish fry which included a piece of rye bread, coleslaw, 3 pieced of battered cod, fries and tarter sauce. The fish and fries were hot, crispy and delicious. I was very happy with the service, food and price for what I received. Definitely a place to return to.

Good was so good and so was the service. Chill casual vibes for sure. My pot roast was so good I want to come back

No Hot Toddy for me BUT the Irish Coffee did suffice. Ordered the shepherd's pie and a glass of magner. Watched a bit of golf and the game.

The other components of the dish included fried bangers (sausages), black & white pudding (blood sausage & pork), baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, bacon, and another small puck of sausage, as well as brown bread and butter. It was a great value with some items I liked and some I didn't due to personal preference, not because anything wasn't prepared well, as it all appeared to be cooked properly. My girlfriend ordered the Celtic Grilled Cheese with bacon, arugula, aged white cheddar, aioli, grilled tomatoes on toasted sourdough. Her sandwich looked amazing, and I regret not asking for a bite. That may be a future order for me. She loved it! I also ordered the County Clare Bloody Mary, which is made with their own seasoning blend and served with a chaser of Harp beer. They asked me how spicy I wanted it, and I said medium, which I think they nailed. This was one of the best Bloodies I've had in town! Overall, a nice brunch experience with good service and a great ambience. I do want to return to try more brunch items.

The atmosphere and decor are warm, moody, and cozy as one would expect from a British pub. Prices are decent for the Brady area. The scotch eggs were good. Small and delicious bites of protein goodness. My favorite thing was the fish fry/fish and chips. The fish was the best part because it was flaky with a light, crispy batter. Now there are two things that didn't go well. The first is the Lancashire hotpot. Traditional ones are supposed to have thin potatoes all covered over the top. This one only had a few on the side. See the picture below. The menu even said "topped with potatoes." The stew itself just tasted like ground beef in beef broth. It was sad. Service was not good. Our server never checked on us the whole night after taking our order. We couldn't get any drink refills and had to flag down a different server to close out our order. I generally enjoy British food and will come back to give them another chance. I would order different things next time, though.

I surprisingly don't have many options in my "MKE - Fish Fry" collection that are near downtown, but Swinging Door Exchange was one of them. I was pressed for time, so I placed a to go order rather than dining in. I got the combo fish fry (two pieces of cod, two pieces of perch, and three fried shrimp) with potato pancakes. I was also very easily talked into the half rack rib appetizer. The ribs were good, even though I prefer sauce that's more sweet and smokey. Their sauce was on the tangy side with a tease of spice that really only became noticeable when the majority of the half rack was gone. If I were in the mood for ribs as my main meal, I'd consider getting theirs as an entree. The two potato pancakes weren't homemade; instead, they were premade hash brown patties that some other restaurants also serve with their fish frys. These were perfectly acceptable in lieu of homemade pancakes. The cod tasted great, but the breading didn't hold up very well. Either the fish itself was too wet or the two block walk back to my car allowed for condensation to wreck it or possibly both. The perch was not yellow lake perch but probably something like pike perch. Even though both kinds of fish and the shrimp were all good sized portions, $29 feels like a lot. I wouldn't say no to it, though, if I were dining in next time and avoid the extra cost of their takeout fee. Shout-out to the bartenders working that night. The bar area was absolutely packed, but both of the ones I talked to about placing my order were friendly and helpful even with being super busy.

I usually get my wings naked because so many places go wrong with the amount of sauce (usually just too drenched), but since we were on a timeline tonight, we just ordered without asking for anything else. It definitely seemed that the staff here were simply not prepared for the volume of people that came out to celebrate the area and support the Historical Society. Emma, our server, was definitely trying, but not always succeeding, neglecting to enter in some parts of the order until far later into the evening (our friends didn't receive their order of garlic bread for about 45 minutes after their entrees were delivered) though oddly enough, she was always ready to bring someone another alcoholic beverage. Thankfully the food I had was pretty good, the grilled cheese sandwich paired well with their tomato bisque soup--I took a chance on the soup not being a traditional tomato soup fan (Campbell's? Gross!) but I found Three Lions version to be hearty and flavorful, definitely a combo that I would get again in the future. I would just come on a night when they could keep up with the crowds far better! Pro tip: Ask for croutons for the soup, they elevated a good soup to an amazing soup.
