Excellent place for a party! We had the private room in the basement- it was perfect. We could move around as we wanted and talk to everyone, we ordered food ahead of time. Drinks were made to order. Our server, Emily, was great. She was attentive, knowledgeable and had a lot of patience for our big group. Food was great! We had a lot of fun!!

I went to lunch at Black Sheep with a friend and we had a lovely time! I love all the big windows that let a lot of light come in, the decor is very cool, the bar is beautiful, and I love the ambiance. Our waitress, Mattea, was so personable, helpful, and kind. We really loved her! For lunch I had the house salad with chicken and my friend ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese- both were excellent! Can't wait to go back!!

I stopped in for happy hour on a Monday night. I was surprised to see that the bar was completely full! That's always a good sign that the food and drinks are delicious. We ended up being able to snag 2 seats at the bar when someone left. The $5 sangria and $10 cheeseboard were delicious!

Black Sheep is a solid go-to for a nice meal, a girls night, or when you have family or friends visiting! Definitely recommend a reservation, especially on the weekends. We've been a couple times but most recently went on a Wednesday night and were able to make a last minute reservation and get in. We got the beer cheese mac to start. Such a great starter and great flavor! I ordered the peanut udon and while it was yummy, I don't think it was worth $18 without a meat protein. My fiancé ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich which was pretty good as well! The place has a very positive vibe and great for having nice conversation!

It's the exact vibe I was expecting from a place called Black Sheep. Everything is just a little different, in the best way possible! I am absolutely OBSESSED with the cheese curds. They're pancake batter with maple syrup and I promise you, you need these. The cheese pull was immaculate. I also had the Lobster Roll (might've been called a Po Boy, I can't recall) and that was delicious especially with the addition of micro greens. The Parmesan Garlic Fries that were shoestring style and crispy were addictive. Ambiance wise, it has an eclectic kind of feel. Definitely makes me want to move to Milwaukee when I step into spots like this. And the staff were super friendly. There is ample street parking and it's not too far from a parking lot. A few of the buildings are under construction and look a little ehhhh, but honestly it's in a really nice neighborhood. I saw a lot of people out walking and tons of business-dressed people around.

Unbelievable happy hour. $5 martinis?! Say less. Also the best place to brunch - so much fun and happiness. Bubble machines, rompers, great tunes - you name it! 10/10 service at the bar. Solid Bloody Mary.

Go to Black Sheep happy hour, sit at the bar, order the dirty martini, talk to the bartenders, and order the Caesar Brussel sprouts. You will not regret your choices.

I've been to black sheep a few times now and always have a great experience, also love the happy hour offerings! I find that the staff is always so nice and attentive, which I greatly appreciate. It can definitely get pretty busy at times, but they have indoor and outdoor seating (when the weather is nice). Some of my favorite menu choices include the house sangria (red wine based), Caesar Brussel sprouts (literally so amazing I could eat them every day), and their charcuterie board offerings. I would also recommend trying out the cheese curds out as they're super unique but they're just not my favorite (I prefer classics). They also offer a wine tap bar option if you prefer to sample different wines and brunch too. Overall would definitely recommend Black Sheep for food/drinks as it is a great chill/fun vibe in the WP area!

We like the brunch menu and wish it was available every day instead of the regular lunch menu. The pancake cheese curds are a must! I like that they have full service coffee options as well. Servers are nice but sometimes it can be slower service, it could have been that maybe they didn't have enough staff? There was only one bartender and one server and they were splitting up the entire restaurant. I get it, that's normal these days...We weren't in a rush, but it took a really long time to order and we ran out of drinks and were never offered refills. Seems like the tables and bar could be split up in sections better for them to be more efficient when there isn't enough staff.

Met a friend here for happy hour (M-St, 4-6) and had an incredible experience. The bartender made me an alcohol free Aperol Spritz which was to die for! I'm still thinking about it! The Meat Board was a work of art, with the honeycomb positioned inconspicuously in the corner like a sweet little secret. The Brussel Sprouts were done perfectly, with the Caesar dressing making this healthier option taste indulgent. This is a great happy hour spot with an elevated, classy feel. I can't wait to go back!

I've only ever been at Black Sheep for HH and it has to be one of the best in Milwaukee! Available Monday-Saturday 4-6, you can get great deals on apps and drinks. It's always busy with a fun and energetic vibe. Great place to meet up with friends.

They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

It'll turn you into a cheese connoisseur if you're not already one. I fell in love with Gouda cheese as soon as I took a bite. The space is cozy and dim and well decorated. The staff are always kind. some are more helpful or informative than others. You can pair the cheeses with every drink on the menu or try pre-paired boards. You can also buy cheeses from the dairy and others, as well as assorted related products at a small retail section or cut fresh from the cheese case. Parking is on the street and can be a pain in this saturated area. The reason for the drop in stars? Prior visits got you more wines and more food to pair it with. This visit had prices steady but fewer wines, less cheese and $1 upcharge for some wafer crackers. I know the economy is not great right now, but this now seems like an expensive place to bring friends, not a reasonable day outing.
