$10 cheese board during happy hour
    Erika A.

I stopped in for happy hour on a Monday night. I was surprised to see that the bar was completely full! That's always a good sign that the food and drinks are delicious. We ended up being able to snag 2 seats at the bar when someone left. The $5 sangria and $10 cheeseboard were delicious!

Unbelievable happy hour. $5 martinis?! Say less. Also the best place to brunch - so much fun and happiness. Bubble machines, rompers, great tunes - you name it! 10/10 service at the bar. Solid Bloody Mary.

Go to Black Sheep happy hour, sit at the bar, order the dirty martini, talk to the bartenders, and order the Caesar Brussel sprouts. You will not regret your choices.

It's the exact vibe I was expecting from a place called Black Sheep. Everything is just a little different, in the best way possible! I am absolutely OBSESSED with the cheese curds. They're pancake batter with maple syrup and I promise you, you need these. The cheese pull was immaculate. I also had the Lobster Roll (might've been called a Po Boy, I can't recall) and that was delicious especially with the addition of micro greens. The Parmesan Garlic Fries that were shoestring style and crispy were addictive. Ambiance wise, it has an eclectic kind of feel. Definitely makes me want to move to Milwaukee when I step into spots like this. And the staff were super friendly. There is ample street parking and it's not too far from a parking lot. A few of the buildings are under construction and look a little ehhhh, but honestly it's in a really nice neighborhood. I saw a lot of people out walking and tons of business-dressed people around.

Black Sheep MKE id always phenomenal. I dream about this Breakfast Risotto. It is always perfect. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the vibe is chill and fun. Reservations highly suggested. 10/10 would recommend! Great job Black Sheep!

We like the brunch menu and wish it was available every day instead of the regular lunch menu. The pancake cheese curds are a must! I like that they have full service coffee options as well. Servers are nice but sometimes it can be slower service, it could have been that maybe they didn't have enough staff? There was only one bartender and one server and they were splitting up the entire restaurant. I get it, that's normal these days...We weren't in a rush, but it took a really long time to order and we ran out of drinks and were never offered refills. Seems like the tables and bar could be split up in sections better for them to be more efficient when there isn't enough staff.

Met a friend here for happy hour (M-St, 4-6) and had an incredible experience. The bartender made me an alcohol free Aperol Spritz which was to die for! I'm still thinking about it! The Meat Board was a work of art, with the honeycomb positioned inconspicuously in the corner like a sweet little secret. The Brussel Sprouts were done perfectly, with the Caesar dressing making this healthier option taste indulgent. This is a great happy hour spot with an elevated, classy feel. I can't wait to go back!

I've been to black sheep a few times now and always have a great experience, also love the happy hour offerings! I find that the staff is always so nice and attentive, which I greatly appreciate. It can definitely get pretty busy at times, but they have indoor and outdoor seating (when the weather is nice). Some of my favorite menu choices include the house sangria (red wine based), Caesar Brussel sprouts (literally so amazing I could eat them every day), and their charcuterie board offerings. I would also recommend trying out the cheese curds out as they're super unique but they're just not my favorite (I prefer classics). They also offer a wine tap bar option if you prefer to sample different wines and brunch too. Overall would definitely recommend Black Sheep for food/drinks as it is a great chill/fun vibe in the WP area!

I've only ever been at Black Sheep for HH and it has to be one of the best in Milwaukee! Available Monday-Saturday 4-6, you can get great deals on apps and drinks. It's always busy with a fun and energetic vibe. Great place to meet up with friends.

    Lobster roll & Sangria
    Carla R.

It was such a nice day to sit out on the patio. The lobster roll was just like a chicken salad mix and I loved it! The sangria is one of my favorites, only $5 for happy hour. Service was attentive and the food came out at a great time. I would definitely come back for happy hour or brunch!

    Cheese Board

Always love this spot for drinks, especially the martinis! Ordered the cheese board and was a bit underwhelmed at only two cheeses but a lot of fruit. Would have liked more cheese on a "cheese" board, though the two included were good.

    Pork shoulder risotto
    Calvin Y.

Extremely good pork shoulder. Very tender and juicy, risotto is also good. The portion feels a little small with the higher price, but mainly paying for quality, location, and atmosphere. The servers are extremely fun and easy to talk to and they always have a good recommendation.

Staff was not prepared at all, actually telling people the guy who usually does speech did not come and they do not know what to say actually. For any alcohol you will buy you will pay in addition which is fine BUT the price for that drink(s) will be surprising you a lot. For 5 sake drinks the bill was around $370. Last two glasses were having less sake than first glasses we were provided, probably because people who already drunk something would not notice the difference. It's ok to have expensive alcohol pairing with high end dinner but in this case the sake was very regular. By the way, at bar 10 steps away from the Dark room (same hotel, same floor, same the floor area) the same sake did cost $23 for two glasses. Well... I understand people try to run business and earn money but everything should not cross some decency borders. These guys did cross the line in my opinion. Alcohol prices are not mentioned in Menu by the way. I do not recommend this place not only due to drinks pricing policy but due to "ok" food/service/price ratio

It was one of the most special dining experiences we've ever had in Milwaukee. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we entered the home of an Argentinian chef. In fact, you pretty much having Chef Ana as your own personal chef, with her husband Peter also providing some exceptional hospitality. She came up to our table multiple times during the evening to chat with us and ask us how our meal was. It's pretty amazing that she is the sole chef in the restaurant and is able to prepare all the meals while also checking in with patrons regularly. The food was really good. They have two prefix options, and we went with the paella, with an appetizer, dessert and bottle of rosé. Each course felt thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic flavor. The warm staff and intimacy is something unique and different than anything else we've experienced. It's rare to find a place where you can experience both world-class cuisine and the personal touch of the people behind it. FYI, there is a price to be paid for such wonderful food and service.
