My friend and I tried Agency around opening time on a week day. We did have a reservation and it did start to get more busy around the time we left. We had one cocktail and one food item each. For us the food we tried was a miss. The drinks were great- no complaints there. I would definitely come back to try more cocktails and maybe a bit later to get more of the ambiance.

We had a large group that had a reservation. It was super easy to make the reservation. Bills were split up for us with no rigamorole. Great service. Great ambiance. Great drinks. It was a little pricey, but it's worth it for the thoughtfulness and creativity that goes into their fine-tuned menu. This is a great choice for a date night or a vibey night out with friends.

The perfect date night spot! We celebrated our anniversary and were treated to complimentary champagne. The cocktails are so unique, you can taste the creativity in every drink. Everything we tried on the menu was incredible and we loved the option for the mixologist to create a custom cocktail for us as well. They can also make anything on their menu non-alcoholic. Definitely a must-try in Milwaukee!

What. A. Place! I stalked the reservation site and was unable to get in before our Saturday dinner plans. We ended up doing a walk-in and were so glad we did! They opened at 5PM so it was great timing and planning for us. We were welcomed so warmly and were sat at one of the bar tables. The menu at the time was space-related, and they were telling a story with their drinks. We opted for the dealer's choice as we thought that would have been more up our alley. The sheet had us fill out alcohol preference, flavor profiles, bubbly/still, creamy/refreshing, etc. We loved our drinks. It was so cozy in that room with all the warm and ambient lighting. Definitely add this to your list to try!

I love this place! My first time here with my partner and we enjoyed the whole experience. So for $190 you can the tasting room experience and you get 5 drinks and 3 bites. Each drink and bite comes with a unique story. Each the menu changes to fit the story. The ambiance of the place is really grown and sexy, cute place to come to for after work drinks or date night. The service is fast and efficient. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their drink menu. I highly recommend reservations as walk ins are limited. If you don't do the tasting experience most of the drinks start off at $16+

Agency is a pretty unique bar in that they provide each cocktail as a non-alcoholic version with the same flavor profile. From what I hear, it's the first of its kind in the nation. They seem to change up their menu somewhat regularly (I only wrote down one name from the pictures I'm providing on this post, couldn't find the name for the other two). Beyond the menu, they have a "Dealer's Choice" card you can fill out based on spirits you like and flavor profile you're feeling in the moment. A few of the profiles I circled were spicy, smoky, and coffee - thinking they'd pick one or two, they somehow managed to include all 3 and it hit the spot (I could notice easy flavor profile - without it being overwhelming or a bad combination). Try to get a reservation before you go, I have gone once without one and couldn't get a seat that night (grabbed a reservation for the next night instead).

Hands down one of the best cocktail bars in the city! I've visited both locations and both were amazing - however their new location within the Dubbel is perfect and feels like Agency's home (decor and ambience). Kat and team have truly created something special for craft cocktail lovers and newbies alike! Their classic, experimental and even dealer's choice cocktails are amazing and can be enjoyed spirited and NA. So excited for all that they have to offer the city's nightlife!

Absolutely obsessed with this place. They have a tasting menu or a la carte themed cocktail menu or a dealer's choice! We came later in the night and got dealer's choices. They give you a menu where you can pick flavor profiles and the bartenders create the most incredible drinks for $16. I LOVED mine (got one where I asked for Cherry Garcia Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor, and another where I asked for a passion fruit sour). It's super cute and cozy inside. I am taking every visitor that comes by over to here!!

I have been really wanting to try this new cocktail spot. On the reservation app they say reservations are recommended but not required. When I looked for a reservation on a Friday, there were none available. So we took our chances and arrived when they opened right at 5 PM and were told that Reservations were REQUIRED on a Friday and Saturday. This is not stated anywhere on their website, reservation site, or Instagram. I really hope they update this to reflect what they tell patrons who want to walk in. Hope to update my rating if we are able to get in.

Review is based only on drinks. For this primarily beer/wine drinker, this was an interesting experience. So glad I tried a cocktail! Such attention to detail - even down to the beer stamped on the giant icecube. Every sip was remarkable. Really. The ambiance makes me think of the roaring 1920s or what I imagine it had been like. Should have worn a flapper dress! This place is for adventurous people that appreciate experimentation. If you only ever drink the same thing, maybe just stick with your favorite bar.

We have been to agency many times in the last year and never fail to be amazed by their thoughtfully curated menu. Each drink is unique and precisely designed to tell a story. The service is top tier and the environment is lux.

Tried Agency before our dinner reservation. They didn't have any openings online so we showed up at 4PM when they opened and easily found a table. They were in between menus so a few things were out but we were still able to order the cocktails we wanted. I tried a Bee's mentality and loved it! Usually it comes with the honeycomb chocolate but didn't since the menu was changing. Floral and light. Great option if you like gin. My sister liked the Saturn more. The passion fruit was great and had a pistachio after taste. The inside is beautiful and moody. A smaller space but a nice mix of bar stools, couches and high tops. There is also a back room for ~15 people that can be rented for private events.

This was a nice cocktail lounge. The ambiance, service and drinks were good. The main complaint is it takes at least 20min to get a drink.

    Ask the Community - Agency

Can I bring my son with me - he's under 21?

I'm not sure. There is nothing posted on the website or on social media about it being 21+. The bartender should be able to make mocktails for your son. You can always call to be sure.

They had several seasonal cocktails in special festive cups, which you could also buy to take home. I got the Cheery Cherry Chocosaurus, which was good, but pricey for what it was. Almost all the seasonal drinks were $15 each and didn't seem too big. The venue itself is medium sized, but feels crammed quickly. There's more people let in at a time than there is seating, so you have to move fast to get a seat. I'll likely come back during the summer to try something else.

It'll turn you into a cheese connoisseur if you're not already one. I fell in love with Gouda cheese as soon as I took a bite. We tried a classic cheese flight board and red wine only flight to pair with the different types of cheese. They made it into a gluten free spread so we had four types of cheese in lieu of the seasoned dried meat and gluten free crackers. The place is inviting, has nice decorations, great for going on a date or a casual catch up with your bestie. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They knew so much about wine and cheese, I would want a whole Documentary on cheese. You can also purchase cheese and other goodies to go! Come on Thursdays, they have a discount on cheese boards!

While the menu is limited and not cheap, staff were very friendly and walked us through everything before we selected a couple of things to try. Pretty much all of the cheeses and accoutrements were fantastic! One of the cheese on our plate was the espresso version of Bellavitano, which happens to be one of my favorites, so that was a nice little bonus for me. In addition to the board, we also went with the ricotta bites, which featured one sweet and one savory option, both of which we also really liked. The shop is cozy and if this was somewhere that I lived walking distance from, I could totally see myself coming here fairly regularly and having a little cheese and ambiance. During our time there we saw both couples on dates and old friends gathering for a drink and a nosh, all of which I found just wonderful. Really the only thing keeping this from a five star review was that the side items, such as the crackers were not plentiful enough for the cheese. I know that ratio can be hard to nail but it was not quite on the mark here, unfortunately. However, that would not be enough to prevent me from returning!
