Came here for a football game and was sadly disappointed in the service and food. The outdoor space in the back was nice once the sun went down and I enjoyed sitting at the bar with the TV right in front of me, but if you're on the other side of it, you have a terrible view of other screens. Service was extremely lacking. I flagged down multiple servers and ask repeatedly to have my order taken before someone actually helped me. Went for Happy Hour and the menu seemed limited with nothing appealing to eat. 2 sliders with fries for $10, but sliders are small typically. Why not a full burger? Hot chicken sandwich for $12. Not the place I'd get a hot chicken sandwich. And a Turkey burger for $12 with fries. Not interested, since Turkey doesn't supplement beef in my tummy. Ordered a $24 Truffle Burger. Bun was hard and beef Patty kept crumbling during every bite which made it really messy. This could mean several things not enough moisture in the meat like fat, different cuts of meat combined in the patty, or meat was frozen. The burger was tasteless, no salt or pepper. Chilli fries were delicious! Wings were just nothing special just spicy. Can't imagine paying $22 for 7 of them. Paid $10 for 5. For $24 Flemings, Paul Martin, Finney's burger is a must. HH is cheaper. I understand this is a local restaurant for local people. I'll keep it at that since I'm not local. read more

I had high expectations based on the pictures and the reviews but unfortunately my experience was a bit underwhelming. Morrison Burbank is mostly bar food - burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc. It's more like late night food although ironically they're only open until 10pm. They're known for their butterscotch bread pudding which easily was the best part of the meal so if I did go back I would probably just come for that dessert itself. As for the rest of the meal. The margaritas were very sweet. I had to water it down to enjoy it. The burger was bland, overcooked, and under seasoned. It said it was Angus beef but it did not taste like quality meat. The sweet potato fries were overly garlicky and a bit oily - the regular fries were definitely better. The fried Brussels sprouts were very very oily. The wedge salad had bacon bits that tasted like they were from the shaker. And the lettuce was a bit watery. The restaurant itself smelled like bleach cleaner and our service was very slow. The one saving grace for the meal was the dessert - the butterscotch bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce. It's what they're known for. Sure, it's sweet and fluffy and delicious, but it just wasn't enough to make up for the rest of the dinner. This location of The Morrison is so much better than the Atwater location. The service is much friendlier and welcoming to dogs. They brought our dog water and bones, right away and were so nice to him. The other location has had a trend of forgetting the people and dogs that are outside over the last few months. The Ambiance here is more clean and spacious too. The outdoor area is very inviting - you can even watch games outside. There's easy to find street parking outside as well. 2 Sliders With Fries - I chose a veggie patty to go along with my sliders. They were fried which added a nice crunch to my meal. I wished it came with an aioli or sauce that would help elevate the taste. I ended up spreading ranch and ketchup on them to get over some of the dryness. Overall, the sliders were still tasty! The fries they serve are my absolute favorite type of fries! Soft potato yumminess inside of a crispy CRISPY exterior! They did not disappoint! The sliders and fries were the perfect amount of food for a filling lunch. Vodka Gimlet - Tasted like summer! It had a good amount of cucumber inside making it taste so so refreshing! Dropped by while my family and I were on the street Halloween shopping. Morrison is a fun divey gastropub that seems to be well loved by the neighborhood. The staff was super nice and the vibe casual and cozy with several large screens showcasing several sports game. When we went, it was Halloween so the place was filled with fun decor. We brought my two year old niece and she had a blast looking at all the Halloween decoration. The food is delicious and affordable for casual gastropub dining. I ordered a plate of nachos and it was perfect for the night. Drinks were pretty strong and my family seemed to have enjoyed their dishes which were onion rings, fries, bacon cheese burger and grilled cheese. If I am in the area, I would definitely pop back in. The chili dogs arrived with hardly any chili, which was sad, because it was delicious! We had to ask for chopped onions and mustard, which Mariah graciously brought. The wings were very tasty! My sister and I were both disappointed with the chili dog. We felt that they could have done a little better with the dish. We let Mariah know that we were slightly underwhelmed with our entree choice and that it could have a little more chili with the "dog". She was so kind and said that we could have always asked for more on the side. Good to know! As I said in the beginning, I really love this place and will continue to dine here!
