This is a gift certificate THEY DID NOT honor.
    Aaron C.

GIFT CERTIFICATES - BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK! SCAM BUSINESS! I was a frequenter to both Morrison locations in Burbank and Los Feliz. They bear the same name, menu, shirts, decor, etc. This gives the consumer the impression that these are absolutely related businesses that share ownership/management. A family member knew I loved the Morrison, and bought a $100 gift certificate from the Los Feliz location and gave it to me as a birthday gift. That location shut down a few weeks later, so I took it the gift certificate to the Burbank location. After attempting to use it after ordering a ton of food and drink, they straight up told me they are not associated with the other location whatsoever and they would not honor the gift certificate. Whether that's the truth or not (I don't believe them) you have a BRAND TO PROTECT. This is what sharing a brand is! To make the cognizant decision not to honor this gift certificate is theft! I will NEVER return to a business that bears the Morrison name ever again. You have lost a customer for life. I now implore all Yelpers to boycott this business for shady business practices. They literally took the $100 and disappeared! Where's my $100 Morrison?

Morrisons in Burbank serves up a happy hour with a cherrt on top. This location is smaller than Atwater but has the same deals. I went for the food not the drinks. The three sliders and fries are cheap and filled me up for about $10.00. The nachos were just okay in my book. Service is friendly and the place is festive. Halloween and Christmas they go all out.

We stopped by the Morrison for some dinner while on our self-created Burbank holiday lights viewing route. My hubby and I had eaten at the Atwater Village location a few years ago, so we figured, oh good... something we are familiar with. At this location, I ordered their Classic Burger, my husband ordered the patty melt, and my daughter ordered their Wagyu beef burger, and all our dishes came with fries. The food was very tasty, prepared as requested, and the fries were incredibly well-seasoned. There were more than enough fries, in fact, a bit too many, but the burger was maybe a tad on the smallish side. Not horribly small, but I would've been happy if they had provided a bit more towards the burger and a few less fries. No harm, no foul, though. Ironically, I liked the burger quality here better than what I had at the Atwater location. I recall being underwhelmed with that, but everything tasted great at the Burbank location. I requested an order of their famous bread pudding to go. I had it when I was at their Atwater location, and it was delicious, so I ordered it again. I completely forgot to request additional butterscotch sauce because they give so little of that and so much of the bread pudding. I definitely need the bread to sauce ratio to be more equal... and what'd I do? I forgot to ask. Drat. Well, it was still delicious, and I worked with what I had. We aren't in Burbank too often, but I'm happy to know that when/if we return and when/if we need a place to eat, we now have a place to go to !! Yay !!

Okay, so I really wanted to like the Morrison, I heard really good things about their Los Feliz place and wanted to give them a shot. We stopped in on Small Business day Thanksgiving Weekend and my hubby went with the fish and chips and I got the burger and onion rings. The fish and chips were meeh, the fish was greasy and the waiter asked my hubby if he wanted fries or chips and he was given fries and my burger was super greasy to and I asked for tabasco sauce and the waiter said he was going to bring it and never did. Like bro, I know you have tabasco sauce, you are a bar pub place. We also don't drink so not sure if that is why we didn't get some TLC and we got the side eye when we ordered our Shirley Temple's. The vibe inside was alright, they had a ton of sport games on and pretty clean and decent. All and all, I will not be returning and their food is mid, nothing to write home about.

Another solid happy hour at Morrison! Staff was great. Food was delish. I like the holiday decor they've got going on in here too! Great spot. Such a good neighborhood vibe. We will be back!

I have stopped by the Morrison Burbank several times and I always have an amazing experience. The food is just delicious, not pictured are their onion rings that sometimes I think about randomly because they are so crunchy and just perfect. Parking can get a little tricky when they are busy, but so worth it. Inside there is a very nice bar, and staff are friendly. I personally love the Spicy Verde Margarita, that is my go to cocktail. My favorite sandwich is the Chicken Aoili, it is so flavorful and fulfilling. I definitely recommend!

Stopped in yesterday for Happy Hour. They have a spacious patio with high tops as well as regular tables. Staff is very friendly and informative, server told us they have a "Taco Tuesday" special where street tacos are $2/piece (Steak, Chicken, Pastor). We ordered a steak and chicken taco as well as shrimp tempura. Taco meats are a little dry and lack that classic flavor. Shrimp tempura was crispy but on the thin side. Mixed Drinks are good, I had the "Dodger Dynasty" while they played the Dodgers Preseason game on all tv's. For dessert we got the Churro with Ice Cream which was fantastic. Our server was attentive, restaurant was clean and prices were great for happy hour. Overall a nice local spot to relax after work for a bite to eat and drinks!

As I have said in other reviews, I judge a place in context with its category, unless it is so poor or so great that it can match a different category. OK, so, Morrison's Burbank is a local's, burger joint, sports bar. In that class, it is great, really. I think my pictures will tell you the whole story. It is clean, has convenient street parking, a nice menu typical of its genre. The atmosphere is suitably subdued so you can view the sports events on the screens positioned on all four walls and enjoy a beer or whatever you are drinking. People streamed in steadily on a Sunday, as we did, casually. We came at an off-hour and could sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose the long wall with comfortable benches. Our servers, mainly Horacio, were prompt to greet us and take our order, bringing glasses of ice water immediately. We were already familiar with the menu, as it is almost identical to the Morrison's we usually go to in Atwater Village. Mostly importantly, both places have an exceptional dessert menu, really upscale and perfectly executed. All the food was great. There was pleasant 2000s pop/rock playing at the right volume, and the prices were really reasonable. This is a place to know about when you are near the Studios, which I am sure supply Morrison's Burbank with a regular clientele during the week. Come here when you want to get a simple and satisfying meal in a nice quiet place with good service and very good food, burger-y especially. Or if you just want to pop in for dessert and coffee (which was very good, by the way). It would be a great spot to take friends after work, too. A nice addition to the Burbank restaurant scene.

Morrison (Burbank) achieves 5 stars based on value, friendliness and quality. The food is yummy with those extra touches like the bread or ciabatta being perfectly toasted and the fresh and colorful house salad as an alternative to the amazing fries. Happy Hour is a way of life at Morrison. House wine $6, drafts $6 and $10 martinis to name a few deals. The food value is fantastic. Recently I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries ($13) and it was top notch. Juicy chicken, grilled onions, jack cheese and avocado on the aforementioned perfectly grilled ciabatta roll. I asked for the spicy habanero aioli on the side and added just enough for a little boost. Service is good and friendly. Shout out to Horacio for watching out for us. It's so much easier to part with one's hard earned cash when your server/bartender is pleasant and efficient AND the product is good! There is a brand new mural featuring Luka, Kobe and Gigi which is very skillfully executed. It was fun to see it being fine tuned. Morrison is attractive and comfortable both inside and out. Don't forget the super dog friendly patio and menu.

Why call it a spicy chicken when it isn't spicy at all? The staff was on top of things as I came here with a big group of co workers. They have lots of TV's. It's clean, the music could be better but chances are they ain't gonna play death metal on a Thursday afternoon. But man the spicy chicken sandwich was an absolute let down. At least the fries were good.

Came in with an opened mind and left with a happy stomach and spirit! Just the ambiance and service are picture perfect when you imagine a gastropub! Food was good and plentiful! Big plates! Need to come back for next years St. Patrick's day to experience it!

I have been driving for hours for the 60th Super Bowl. I decided to stop at Morrisons with my date.. We ordered some Super Bowl special platters, which were delicious. It had ribs, sliders, coleslaw hot wings you name it. It was on that platter. Overall it was delicious. We got to watch the game drink a few cold ones. It was amazing thank you..

Came here only because we wanted to take our dog out and it did not disappoint! I was confused coming in because we wanted to sit in the back patio but wasn't sure if we were suppose to go to the side or the front and ask for a seat. We went inside and didn't find anyone we could flag so I decided to go back out to the side where the patio entrance is at. We waited until the waiter came and advise us to grab a seat anywhere. The place was really cute. Back door patio vibes and they currently have some decor for st Patrick's day. They also have tvs outside so if you wanna watch a game this can be the place. For our dog they gave her complimentary water and some treats placed on a cute little tray. They also have a dog menu, we went for rice and beef. The food was good not too bad, no complaints here ! But I would definitely come back again if I'm around the area. Prices aren't bad either and waiter was attentive.

It was overdressed to the point of soggy lettuce, and the portion felt pretty small for the price. On the brighter side, the garlic fries that came with the buffalo chicken wrap were incredible, full cloves of garlic and really bold flavor. Definitely the standout of the meal. The wrap itself was just okay: decent taste, but small and not particularly appetizing in presentation. Drinks were a win across the board. The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.

We ended up here on a whim after getting hit with a 1 hour wait at Broken Compass. Threw our names…read moreon the list, hopped in the car, and 6 minutes later landed at this lively little dive bar that somehow manages to feel quite wholesome. You order at the bar, so we grabbed a table, scoped out the menu, and honestly, it's stacked. Tons of options, and ridiculously vegan-friendly. Vegan galore. Like, actual choices, not just the sad "salad or fries" situation a lot of places offer. We only needed something to hold us over, so we kept it simple. I got the beer brat, my friends went for fries, a pretzel, and the Season of the Witch bowl. Everything hit the spot. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid across the board. For a quick detour, it worked out perfectly. I'd definitely swing back the next time I'm in the area.

I've been coming here on and off for about 5 years. I recently went in this past Friday night to…read moremeet my friend for food and drinks. I ordered at the bar like always, and the bartender took my order and then walked towards the kitchen. Now I know they usually give you your drink right then and there, but they were busy and I assumed he was going to take care of something else first, which is completely fine! What I didn't expect was this other bartender, who was on the complete other side of the bar and didn't communicate me with at all, was actually filling my drink. I didn't realize that, because he didn't tell me, so I turned to walk back to my table. This rude bartender thought I was abandoning my drink or something, and used his big boy voice to yell "YOUR DRINK!" so loudly that everyone at the bar stopped to stare at me, and some were laughing. Now I didn't know that intentionally embarrassing your patrons is how you guys do business, but ok, whatever makes you feel important I guess... The original bartender who took my order came by and checked and on our table later in the night, and he asked us something that neither my friend or I could hear, so I said "I'm sorry, what?" and he rolled his eyes and walked away. Alternatively, a few months ago, my husband and his friend came here and they received the complete opposite treatment - free drinks, conversations with the bartenders, and were welcomed. I never come into a restaurant/bar, especially a small business, expecting anything for free, that isn't my point at all. I do however expect basic manners and respect. Based on our very different experiences recently, there does seem to be a hint of misogyny going on here. This place used to be cool and friendly, and food has always been great, but the men who work here completely ruin it. It's really disappointing.
