Wow.... What a phenomenal addition to downtown Livermore. Livermore was in desperate need of a good breakfast spot and boy have these folks delivered. Went with my mom and family for her 85th birthday. Phenomenal job with the remodel as the place is absolutely gorgeous. Incredible menu with lots of options for breakfast. Something for everyone. Mom who is super picky had the farmhouse omelette and absolutely loved it. I had the Eggs Florentine which was delicious. My sister had the breakfast tacos and said they were excellent. True test of a good breakfast spot is the coffee... phenomenal cup of coffee! They were very busy but the food came out quick and the staff really went all out to make my mom feel special on her birthday. Came here for brunch with my sister's and one sister was like almost 2 hours late (coming from Sac) but they kindly accommodated us and did not rush us at all into ordering or leaving... we stayed another hour plus once that sister finally arrived and we ordered our food. The food was good I have no complaints. My sister's enjoyed their meals as well and the service was pretty great. The place is really cutesy and perfect to sit outdoors on a warm day oh! I've been to Mornings on First twice now and had a great brunch both times. I loved the farmer's omelet. My dad ordered the eggs Benedict and said it was one of the best he's had. My friend had the breakfast burrito, which was huge. She ended up saving half for later. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The wait staff was wonderful and the patio is super charming. It's perfect for people watching on First Street. I can't wait to take my fiancé next time. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to. read more

Who doesn't like a nice brunch place? Well, I don't like this one. We were sat and no menus were brought over. Had to finally flag a server. Took our drink orders, and I was done before she returned to take our order. I ordered a OG burger, and it was so blah. The patty had zero flavor and the cheese was barely there. For such an expensive burger, I did expect a bit more. I could have purchased 4 in n out burgers for the price. It should have been equally tasty. My friend had the avocado toast...it was literally a smaller piece of toast (not artisan) with literally avocado slices. Nothing else. How boring can it get and then rip you off with the price? And good luck getting refills on your drink. Again, server had to be flagged down, when she was around. Now to get your bill to leave...nope! Server again was not in sight. Never returning, and I'd say you should save yourself a trip. Plenty of better options. read more

What a cute place. We were visiting a friend in town and wanted to check this place out for ourselves. The decor is gorgeous and beautifully done. The fly swatter fans do need to be charged more regularly so they actually work, but excellent idea. The food was delicious. I got the breakfast tacos and my friend got the chilaquiles. The tacos could use two tortillas to stay stronger, but still yummy. We did ask for our server to split the check and he agreed, but then brought us one check. Either not fully trained or just didn't clarify with us. We made it work though. We heard that they just hired more staff to have better coverage so they need to work on training all staff to get to the same as older employees. It is a new place and these things happen with growth. Keep the food good and work on training and you will be golden. read more

Went out for brunch with a friend of mine and we put our name on the list at 1:30pm and we were told a 25 minute wait, and they would text us when our table was ready. 40 minutes pass so we go back to ask the hostess if they called our name or maybe forgot to text, she tells us it's another 15-20 minutes, so we take another walk nearby waiting for a text. Now it is 2:47pm and still haven't got called to be seated, and when wevgo back they're closing for the day. We were starving and they wasted over an hour of our day. We didn't even eat there. I really wanted to like this place, they from what I've heard have great food and do wonderful outreach in our community, BUT, due to the horrible service we didn't even get to try it. My husband and I were sat by a lovely hostess right away for breakfast, and it was busy but not crazy crowded. We waited for a good 15-20 minutes before even being acknowledged by the wait staff, and of important note, we were approached only after the people seated after us were helped. When the waiter finally did come to take our order, he did not greet us with a "good morning," or "how are you", but simply "what do you want to drink?" I gave him my drink order then started to give him my food order and right away he raised his voice, cut me off and looked at my husband saying, " what is your drink order?" My husband gave him his drink order. After he was done typing that in he looked back up at my husband and said are you ready to order your food, even though I had already started trying to order food, and clearly those with common sense would ask the woman for their order first. My husband said I could go first, which I replied, " oh am I allowed to speak now?" All the while looking at the waiter, he never apologized, did not acknowledge his rudeness, just waited for my food order. I'm sorry, I will not give my hard earned money to a business that treats their customers with such disrespect. We got up and left. This place was pretty good! Highly recommend the chicken and waffles! The waffle was a little dry and overcooked, but it was still good! I also got the coffee flight and honestly I do not recommend because only one out of the three I enjoyed but that's just personal preference. The tiramisu latte was delicious. We met friends here for breakfast. We sat inside as the street cleaner/blower was very loud in front. In hindsight we should have asked about the back patio seating, but since there was just one server maybe it was not open. It is a cute place- bright and cheerful. I loved the variety on the menu and prices are reasonable. Our waitress was brand new to this kind of work. She was very sweet and apologized. We were fine as she was trying her best and she was the only one besides the boss. They have not been open that long and so still have a few kinks to work out. We appreciated that all the food arrived on warm plates. My Joe's scrambled was supposed to come with potatoes but I had to ask for them. The scrambled was bland and could have used some garlic and spices in the meat. The sausage patty that was added to a biscuits and gravy order was way too salty, but the BGs themselves were delicious. Our friend never got any refills on his coffee. Our other friend ordered pancakes and had to ask for butter. These can all be fixed as they mature as a business. We need a place like this downtown and we want them to succeed. What a great addition to downtown Livermore. We had breakfast there today. The place was busy, service was good, food was good. The All American was perfect, light golden large pancakes, choice of meat and eggs. All cooked well and fresh tasting. The Eggs Benedict was excellent. They don't assume you want poached eggs and will ask for your preference.Tasty hollandaise sauce! The sausage and egg sandwich on brioche bun was hearty and very good, clean sausage (no surprises). Lastly the waffles tasted as good as they smelled. Generous servings for reasonable prices. We sat inside, kind of a Breakfast at Tiffany's vibe. I love the tee shirts. Next time we'd like to try outside dinning either in front or the covered back. The only negative comment was about the coffee. read more

I've been to Mornings on First twice in the past 2 weeks. Both times have been exceptional from service to food to atmosphere! Other things I love about Mornings on First the creativity they've shown in shading their back patio! We were able to bring my son's dog with us which was really helpful. i'm not sure if they just had a bad day or if all their friends are writing the reviews. We had breakfast there. I ordered a cheese and veggie omelet and "fresh squeezed juice" (per the menu). the waitress whispered to me that it wasn't really fresh squeezed. No big deal. However, my omelet was terrible. The vegetables (peppers, onions) were entirely raw and cold. The cheese wasn't melted. How hard is it to make a good omelet?? My friends ordered pancakes and said they were really bad. cold and rubbery. So disappointing after seeing 5 star reviews-and we aren't a picky bunch! read more

Service was great, very friendly and efficient. Food however was very mediocre. I ordered eggs Benedict with medium hard poached eggs. The egg yolk was so runny that it was a pool on my plate. The Canadian bacon was very salty. The Hollandaise sauce was not good, too thin. The English muffin was small and thin. Spent the day in Livermore with my sister and we were looking for a place to eat brunch. We were so lucky to find Mornings on First! We love anything and everything Hawaiian and the colorful turquoise painted walls were so cheerful. Service was friendly and attentive and our food was delivered quickly. My sister had the CFS country fried steak with a side of biscuits and gravy. Oh em gee so delicious and the chicken was perfectly crispy. And that gravy! Savory goodness. I ordered the eggs florentine with sautéed spinach and fresh tomatoes and a side of country potatoes. Loved how the perfectly poached egg flowed golden yummy yolk over everything exactly like it should. Our shared "dessert" was the buttermilk ohana pancakes topped with pineapple, coconut and a creamy, not too sweet, macadamia sauce/syrup. Delicious! If we could, we would have added actual macadamia nuts on top. Next time we'll try one of their Hawaiian themed lattes like the iced banana bread latte! read more

By far the best place around for breakfast! Prices are very reasonable, portions are huge and great quality food. We've been there several times for breakfast. Kid's breakfast plates for $8 and each plate is more than enough food for 2 kids. I wish I could give 6 stars for the service. Went here as a lunch outing with the girls I work with. Best BLTA I've ever had! Sounds silly, how hard is a BLTA to make, but you would be surprised at how many restaurants mess it up. The lettuce, tomato and avocado were so fresh and the bread was perfect, not under or over cooked. The other girls ordered the French toast, chilaquiles, and the French dip, which they all loved. The staff was very friendly, welcoming us so nicely as we walked in and very accommodating with our special requests when we ordered. I think this is going to become a favorite place to eat for me. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes, and some of their yummy drinks BTW, the pictures on this site do not do the dishes justice. I wish we took pictures I could have posted.
