My sister and I loved this place. We sat outside and the weather was nice because we went quite early in the morning. My sister got the chilaquiles ($16) and I got a Smoked Salmon Benedict ($18). The chilaquiles were very spicy and not too good, but the Benedict was good. read more

The seating was quick, thanks to the fact you can put your name in beforehand. And let me say that I appreciate and LOVE the fact that the patio is dog friendly- honestly that is a big reason why I'll go. However, the odor emitting (I believe) from the sidewalk surrounding the patio. Is AWFUL. It is urine for sure. It could be from the pets that are allowed there (though I doubt it), or the pets that are walked by the owners and do their business around the place- either way, it was ripe, it was awful and it ruined everything. Y the smell hits you as you dine out there, no matter how good your beverage or food may be, it makes it all unappealing. I don't understand how no one that works there smells that and doesn't address it? Obviously management is lazy, because a weekly cleaning, or even more frequently, with bleach or another cleaning agent of the patio and sidewalk, including the rocks, whatever surrounding the outdoor dining area, MUST BE DONE. This is a management fail, as it should be assigned side work or hire someone to do it, but to ignore it is unacceptable. I cannot be the only client who has experienced it, but please fix it or I won't be back, nor will others who experience it I imagine. read more

I rarely write reviews but this place was so bad, I decided to do a public warning. This was by far our worst breakfast in recent memory. My wife and I went here last Sunday. We got there about 20 minutes after they opened. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and she ordered the Bagel Sandwich. Biscuits & Gravy were cold. Biscuits were day-old and cold to the touch. Gravy was just....cold. I also got a side of sausage. I don't know if it was meatless sausage or what, but that was not sausage. Bagel Sandwich had 4-5 too many eggs on it. The bagel was soggy. The hash browns were ok. The service was fine. We each ate a little bit of our breakfasts and then asked for the check. I asked the server if she could simply tell the cooks to temp their foods before serving. She was very nice and asked if she could take $$ off the bill. We declined because we did eat some of it. Came in on a Friday morning around 10:30am and it wasn't busy. This place also connects to a coffee shop next door accessible on the way to the bathroom. They had a 2 for $4 Jell-O shot special for breakfast was I thought was fun so I ordered them. I ordered the Cali Benedict and it was very good-hollandaise sauce was flavorful, avocado wasn't ripe, and the potatoes were crunchy and flavorful. The service here is terrible and the workers are rude. Ordered to go at the bar, first off it took 30 minutes for them to even take my order and then I waited over an hour for my food. We came in with a big group, and I was the second person to order and I got my food last. The workers told us they were prioritizing dine in orders first and not to go orders. They have no solutions to this problem, and instead of the workers being considerate and listening they were rude and standoffish. No sense of urgency from the staff on food or drinks either. I ordered a smoothie and they did not bring it out right away, so when I got it, it was completely melted and like juice. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for something quick to grab. Staff and service is awful. read more

SQUEEZE ME PLEASE, or am I in breakfast heaven? My wife and I were in Phoenix for a sporting weekend. We'd been looking for a good breakfast joint when we found this gem within walking distance from our hotel. The moment we walked in we knew it was going to be good. All the food that patrons were chowing down looked absolutely fabulous, especially the biscuits and gravity, which was yummy according to my wife who wouldn't let me taste them...okay I did taste them. I started with the espresso martini, and only had one...right after another, so my breakfast was a bite of a blur, but believe it was a Meat Loves Omelet with a chocolate chip pancake that I ordered, which went down way too quickly. Did I mention how good the espresso martinis were? Service was fantastic, the place has a great vibe and we were seated immediately on a Saturday morning, which I wasn't expecting either. Cute restaurant, was surprisingly not busy for a Saturday even with the NFL Experience going on at the Convention Center. Took a solid 7 minutes before our server came to greet us. Asked to order the "Do that s#!t yourself" mimosa (full bottle of Prosecco + juices to mix) for $35. Server hard sold that the mimosa flight was only $15 and the "same thing" so he suggested getting that otherwise you are "paying $20 more and having to mix it yourself" kind of made it impossible to say no, but when the flight came out it was clearly juice heavy and the equivalent of maybe 1/4 of a bottle worth of Prosecco. So definitely not the same thing for $20 less, in fact not as good of a deal at all for the amount of alcohol you're getting. I heard him discourage 3 other tables as well, not sure why the hard down sell.... And then to make it worst is once we were done with the first round of drinks he didn't come back at all to check on us until we were pretty much done with our food. Food was pretty decent which did make up for the other frustration some and came out quick. Although I wish the Green Chile Pork would have had a little heat to it. Such a cute place! Fresh off our flight from Indy to explore Phoenix for Spring Break. We were starving and looked this place up in Yelp so we decided to stop. So glad we did! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is open and casual and trendy. The food was delicious! I had a BLT and the bread was delicious and the fruit cup was so fresh and sweet. My husband had the meatlovers omelet and he said it was delicious. The kids had chicken and waffles, eggs my way and a crispy chick sandwich. We were a bit worried heading into the restaurant at 9:30am on a Saturday, but were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away! If you have a larger group, however, I would recommend reserving on Opentable as there were many groups of 5+ that had to wait. I enjoyed the fun murals painted on the walls and the relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, everything was very tasty! My husband was especially impressed with the lox & bagels (although quite messy)! As a vegetarian, there were limited options for me, but I was very happy with the taste of the southwestern omelette, and the pancake side was a worthwhile substitute for a simple slice of bread! My family and I were in there yesterday and left a purse. We came back 5 minutes later and it was stolen. The staff was very unhelpful after expressing that the purse had medical supplies in it for diabetic issues and the servers refused to give us the owners name and security footage. I really like the look and ambience with original artwork, murals(very colorful and nice in the morning)by well regarded artist Jayarr. Service by Manager Ruth and Server Sheila was very friendly, courteous and fast-top ten service downtown in my experience. My meatlovers omelette was delicious and very filling. For 16, 17, $18+ prices you expect 16, 17, $18+ food. I personally had the chicken and waffles with scratch gravy and eggs, and my girlfriend had the skirt steak benedict thing. They got her order wrong and we were served a different meal with skirt steak. That steak was pretty good actually, would've been better if it was the right order. Besides that I want to talk about the chicken and waffles, priced at like 17$ so just know I'm not making a huff out of some fast breakfast restaurants food. The plating on that meal was inefficient, plated in a way that makes the waffles soggy fast, not to mention they don't crisp up the waffle at all so it didn't take long for it get soggy, basically by the second bite I took. Now the chicken; while full of good juices the chicken was cooked very well yet lacked so much flavor. There wasn't much seasoning on it so it was pretty bland, I only tasted the oil it was cooked in. Lastly, the gravy, the greatest atrocity from our order. It was flavorless, if you were to scale the flavor of a typical biscuits and gravy at a "First Watch" for example, this was only 50% flavor, maybe even less. It didn't help the chicken elevate the flavor or create new combination flavors, it was a weak plate for 17$ give or take a dollar. The worst part honestly is that if this was bad I wanted the biscuits and gravy, however after trying the gravy I saw that getting another meal wasn't necessary for me. It's like between 2.5 and 3 stars, I hope they improve because they have the capabilities to be a really good place. During a business meal, it's really easy to lose control of time, after 30 mins passed, u may still not order the food yet, because people are busy with talk. Therefore, if the server can come to "interrupt" and remind us to order food? Perfect! I ordered the lox and bagel. 4.5 out of 5. The portion is great, it's fresh. Whether it be morning, or not, the Morning Squeeze is the brunch spot to be at. This downtown Phoenix (grand opening September 17th) is their third valley location (Tempe & Scottsdale). I was invited to try the new location out during the "Friends and Family" soft opening, and it did not disappoint. The fun interior, quickly accessible menu, and tasty options all exceeded my expectations, but the service is where they really shined. The staff was fun and friendly without being overbearing - aka the best kind of waitstaff, there could be. They didn't even mind my excessive photo-taking (don't worry I asked first!) and even offered to help. 10/10 loved this new location and will be back. read more

So we had a 3+ hour layover in Phoenix and didn't want to eat at the airport so we yelped this place and ventured off to taste they're food and I'm glad we did...it was delicious. When we arrived, we were told that they were on a 10 minute break but it was ok to sit at the bar. Because we were managing our time we chose to sit at the bar. I had the carne asada benedicts which were amazing. The steak was seasoned very well and I truly enjoyed the chipotle hollandaise. My hubby enjoyed the Hangover bowl and he enjoyed his meal as well. The portion size was large so we both had leftovers. The customer service was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. If you're ever in Phoenix and have a long layover, I would definitely recommend you taking the 10 minute train ride downtown to this place. read more

Coffee was pretty terrible, weak. I think I've had better at Circle K. Husband and I had omelets, they won't substitute pancake for toast, you've got to order a side of pancakes. Potatoes were cheesy and tasty. Our teenage son really liked his BLT-A. Bacon was crispy and sliced thickly. About 3-4 slices on the sandwich. Overall, we will try somewhere else next time. My wife and I found ourselves downtown Phoenix yesterday after trying a new church service that ended around 12:30pm and we went in search of food. We came across a newer location for Morning Squeeze that I hadn't been to before. I have been to the one in Scottsdale many times and never been disappointed. Figured it was a safe bet so, after we found a parking spot almost immediately (SHOCKING!), we made our way into the restaurant. Bear in mind, this is right next to a Cartel Coffee and a Blanco Taco restaurant, thus you would expect the neighboring competition would keep them on their toes. Wow, was I wrong!?!!! The restaurant was about 25% occupied so the servers and kitchen were certainly not overtaxed at the time. The hostess was polite and seated us quickly. Our server was attentive and took our drink order quickly, returning with coffee and OJ for us. The juice tasted fresh, however the coffee was lukewarm. I mean, c'mon people, this is a breakfast place! How hard is it to keep hot coffee around? We ordered: my wife getting eggs Benedict on GF toast, I ordered a Green Chile Pork Skillet with three eggs cooked medium. So far, so good - except for the coffee. About fifteen minutes later our food arrived. It looked (how can I describe it?) tired. Whatever, at this point I was hungry enough to eat my own shoes. I cut into my eggs, they're not medium - they've been cooked to an inch of immolation. The yolks were solid, ugh. The chili was non-existent. Under the eggs: pieces of pork, roasted potatoes but no chili? It was dry as a bone. My wife's Benedict also tragically overcooked to almost inedible state. Slicing into one of the eggs, it released about two ounces of water (probably trapped in the poaching process which clearly went on too long) which made the toast under it a soggy mess. To her credit, our server when she checked on our meals, while unapologetic, at least offered to have the kitchen remake the food. We declined so we could escape as quickly as possible. We have lots of good breakfast places in town, this simply is not one of them. read more

Everything was great, except the avocado on my plate wasn't quite ripe. One of my daughters for the chocolate chip pancakes and iced chai, and she loved both. My other daughter ordered the protein pancakes, which appeared to be buckwheat pancakes with granola and chocolate chips on top. They weren't what she was expecting, but I tasted them and they were good if you like that type of pancake. Went here for breakfast while visiting Phoenix!! Wanted to try the Chilaquiles but wasn't sure if it would be too much food. Went with the OG French Toast and side of bacon. The BACON was Fi! The FT was okay, nothing spectacular but okay. Service was fine, seated quickly, food out in about 10-15ish minutes. This is definitely as shareable meal. The only complaint, which the manager took care of was I had "lip prints" on my water cup/glass, yep, they were NOT mine as I use straws. The waitress and manger were nice about it.
