Was really looking forward to eating here but in the end left underwhelmed. The problem? Well the bun was dry, plain and simple, and that affected the taste of the chicken sandwich I had ordered. To drive that point home, my partner blurted out "I don't like the bun" in the middle of dinner, so it wasn't only me being put off by the taste of the bread. So why 3 stars then? Now when we go there, it is utter disappointment, the chicken is half the size that it used to be. The burger was completely dry. And there were five onion rings on our order of onion rings. Went here with a friend yesterday for lunch after seeing this place open a few years ago before leaving AZ. I wasn't super hungry, so I struggled with either just getting a soup and fries or a burger. I decided to go with their veggie burger wrapped in lettuce with the boursin cheese. The waitress, who was so nice and attentive despite running the bar and tending to tables, recommended it. When I asked her what the soup of the day was she also recommended it because she had just tried it. It was a tomato based soup with beans, tomatoes, and a sprinkle of onions. She was really sweet to bring me a cup with my meal and it was delicious. The veggie burger was nothing short of amazing. It was cooked just right and had tons of seasoning--so yummy! The cheese made everything pop and I could just go on eating, but my stomach made me stop. The fries were also amazing with a nice hint of salt and crispness! I travel for work and was happy to hear that this place was not only in walking distance, but also pretty good. I'm not a huge burger person but hunger got the best of me. They bring out the burgers and waitress looks at my daughter and says the fish and chips are on their way. My wife says "mine too"? And she walks away. An old friend was in Phoenix from Atlanta to see Elton John on November 12, 2022 so we decided to stay at the Marriott Sky Harbor to get to Chase Field easily. The afternoon of the concert, we were looking for a place nearby to grab a quick bite. We ended up at this restaurant. We should have left as soon as we walked in. There was no one to greet us. A flustered waitress came to the front & told us that we could sit wherever we wanted. That was not an option as every table that we walked by needed cleaning. We found a seat after walking to the back of the room. Our waitress was clearly overwhelmed because, other than a server behind the bar, there was only one other person to take orders and bus tables. There were obvious signs that the visit wasn't going to go well. The first indication was when the table next to us returned all of their mixed drinks, citing that they didn't taste right. I've seen ONE drink not being to the customer's tastes but never THREE different cocktails. We eventually got our orders. But my friend had to return her burger because she asked for no mayonnaise yet the sandwich had so much mayonnaise that the meat patty and all the "fixin's" literally slid out the other side when she bit into it. None of the food was well presented or tasted good. The ambiance in the place was sad and dismal. We would have done better by going to McDonald's! My burger was cooked exactly how I asked for it to be cooked and was very tasty! The fries were also seasoned very well and piping hot like they were as fresh as can be. I have a thing for burgers and have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. I was already hesitant due to some of the reviews but gotta check it off the list of burger joints. When we arrived we were seated promptly and given menus. We waited for awhile before our server appeared. She was very friendly and seemed enthusiastic. We ordered our drinks and then put in our order once those arrived. I ordered the Farm Fresh burger with fries and a kiltlifter. I order the burger medium rare or pink. The burger itself was overly messy and not in a good way. There was a slab of that cheese that made the burger turn into mush after my first bite. Ever bite was destroying one full napkin to clean my hands off. I attempted to eat it deconstructed but half way through I gave up. My guest wasn't impressed with her meal as well. I ended up only eating a handful of fries and half of that burger. My guest got hers to go and we gave what was left to a homeless person. At least I can say we tried it!
