Review is only for the matcha. Matcha here isn't the best ceremonial grade quality. We had the iced matcha latte 50% sweet and iced matcha tea unsweetened. When the worker poured the pre made matcha from a blender that was kept cold in an ice container my eyes almost popped out of my socket. That was such a big offender to my love for matcha. Matcha should always be made when ordered and drunk right away because it will oxidize the longer it sits out and begins to degrade and lose all of its nutritional potency and so forth. Good quality also is vibrant green, smooth and velvety taste not jungle green and bitter. Still no good matcha place in OC but service is great! read more

Tried their egg salad and honey spicy chicken thighs sandwich and I prefer their latter. Egg salad is nothing special but the other sandwich is very tasty due to it sauce. Haven't tried their drinks but these 2 sandwich are a 1 and done type of food due to price and food ratio imo. read more

It's definitely not too sweet but I came back another day and tried the Taro Berry Matcha and it was so good! I visited Mori's this morning 5/2 around 10am. I was not greeted by either of the workers (there was 2of them). When I was trying to place an order Lina was at the register on facetime with a female. She didn't end the call to take my order instead she continued to talk to the female on FaceTime while I was ordering. Instead of Lina ending her personal call and providing me with the adequate customer service she continued to stay on the phone. I then asked what was the most popular coffee because I've only ordered matcha before, but since she was too busy on the phone she didn't provide feedback instead pointed at the menu. I ordered 2 matcha lattes & a coconut coffee. First off, the matcha latte lacked matcha flavor. They are not whisking the matcha to order. They pour the pre whisked matcha from a jar & pour into the drinks. I strongly believe that this is the reason why the matcha lacks flavor since it sits in the jar & oxidizes. They are also not busy for them to not be whisking every drink to order. The coconut coffee that I ordered lacked coconut flavor, so I kindly asked the cashier Lina to swap it out for another drink & she said no I can't my manager said I can't. I was so confused because i've never heard of such a thing. If the customer isn't satisfied wouldn't you want to make it right? Well not at Mori's. Lina had horrible customer service & had a horrible experience. I would not recommend you to come here. read more

i tried their taro berry matcha which was perfect! i recommend following their recommended sweetness level. the strawberry bottom was delish and the taro paste tastes super fresh and not super thick. their menu also looks hella fun so ill be coming here more often read more

I'm sorry to say I was quite disappointed. My co-workers and I are always looking for new places to eat near our office. I suggested this place with great expectations based on the drinks offered and the high ratings. I usually read through reviews before ordering but I didn't have the time today so I ordered based on photos. Taro/ube drink looked really enticing but fell flat in flavor. I felt like I was drinking mildly flavored milk. I'm not a fan of overly sweet drinks so I usually ask for 1/2 the sugar when ordering but I ordered it normal and it was still bland. Not enough taro or ube flavor and the soba salad I ordered came with 2 tiny salad dressings. One seems to be like a ponzu type and the other black sesame maybe? Either way, they were terrible! I couldn't even eat half of the small portion they serve. I dumped both. This place is so cute and has so much potential... the owner needs to make some changes. Mori's matcha green tea is worth every penny. They get their matcha straight from Japan! Unlike other matcha tea places that use the powder that mimics the authentic matcha, here you can taste the difference in the quality. The barista was so friendly and explained their menu very well. For $, I was going into this thinking that it would be cheaper. I still spent around $20 for the eel bowl I got, but I will say that they give so much eel, like a large portion of it. The bowl itself was delicious and had a nice health and feel to it. This is very new so sometimes they give out some things on the house; I got fresh watermelon juice. If you're into healthier options for drinks or food I'd recommend going to Mori's! The matcha was good but mildly sweet for my preference. The matcha tastes smooth and light. I slightly tasted the liquid cane that is added. However if you'd rather opt for a not so sweet and healthier alternative I'd recommend this spot. I'm more into creamier tasting Matcha. I would say the banana matcha is really good and a strong matcha taste. The banana tasted non artificial as well.

This place opened up next to my fitness studio and I have so many AMAZING things to say about it! Their bowls are SUPER healthy and nutritious and they provide you with the calorie count! And I just know their ingredients are super fresh and organic. But the spotlight for me are the DRINKS. I asked the person serving me what their speciality is and he said uji matcha and taro! I ended up getting their taro black boba milk tea and assam black boba milk tea. You can tell that the taro they use is SUPER FRESH. And it's not overwhelmingly sweet even with boba!
