    Garden Veggie Omelet Breakfast
    Nicki P.

I came here for lunch during a work trip. We were promptly seated when we arrived. The menu selection has something for everyone. I selected a healthier meal - egg white veggie omelette with no cheese. It's nice they made healthy accommodations to fit my dietary needs. The ambiance is nice and warm inside and staff is friendly!

This place exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing. My friend ordered the Irish Bennie and he ate the whole plate. I had the pancakes with the blueberry compote. I was also able to get a side of lemon curd for the pancakes. It was a beautiful match. I recommend. The beignets were ok. They aren't as good as going to New Orleans, but they are mid tier. I recommend the pancakes and lemon curd on the side. One bad thing about the restaurant, is that the music is so loud. Other than that, loved the restaurant. Lots of windows, great food, great portions.

Love love love Moon's! It's not a trip to Moon's if you haven't gotten the beignets. With the honey butter is divine! I usually get the hobo Benedict and it never disappoints. Always great. We ventured into trying the country scramble and it impressed me with how delicious it was. Get it with the red potatoes. The staff is always sweet and energetic. Never had bad service. And always funny signs to read in the restaurant. Always great to come here.

Moon's Kitchen is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots around! The portions are huge (definitely come hungry). Everything we ordered tasted amazing, super fresh, and full of flavor. The the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the whole vibe of the place is cozy and friendly. Great service, great food, and great value. Can't wait to go back for another big breakfast at Moon's Kitchen

This place was one of the top rated breakfast spots in Boise so we decided to try it out. You may miss it because it is inside a mall type of building. As soon as I got on the 2nd floor where it is located, I saw many ppl waiting around. I assumed they were waiting for a table. Once we checked in with the host, she let us know it was a 20 minute wait. It was not bad so we waited. Once inside we were greeted by our server who was honestly one of the top servers ever. She took our orders and once our food arrived, she continued to check up on us all throughout. There were other people walking around with coffee refills too. Unfortunately I got too excited for my pancakes and did not take a picture but it was soo good! I actually got too full off from one pancake and took the 2nd home. The place was great honestly. Would definitely come back for breakfast when in town!

The entrance is across from this building and signage.

The most interesting thing about eating at Moon's is actually just finding the darn place. While it's address is on Main its main entrance equipped with escalators to the second floor are located off of the pedestrian plaza without a street number address to be found anywhere. I was pleasantly surprised with, considering how hard it was to find, that it was as busy as it was and with predominantly a younger crowd. Something about the decor really clicked with me and Becca who attended to my table was especially pleasant and very attentive. Another funny thing was the pollished concrete floor and how it interacted with the ball type castors on the bottom of the chairs. This combination made it especially easy for my chair to move around and glide away from the table when I applied any kind of pressure against the table. Kind of had to wedge my feet to the floor to keep me in place. Would you otherwise notice this; I doubt it. But I'm off that way. Fun place, good food, music not too loud....yes I would return, especially since I know how to find it now.

Great NEW downtown location, much more seating and easier parking via the parking deck. Fresh squeezed orange juice and of course the beignets are great too!

Came here for brunch with my mom on the Saturday before Mother's Day. We didn't realize it was also graduation weekend, so the area was bustling--but even with the crowds, we only waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated, which was a pleasant surprise. The service remained attentive and friendly, and our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We both had the pistachio latte, which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet--definitely a highlight. I went with the classic eggs Benedict, which was spot on: perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and crispy hash browns on the side. We also shared a small order of the beignets, and they were fantastic--warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar. I really love their new location--it has a fresh, modern vibe with great views of downtown Boise. All in all, it was a fantastic brunch experience, and I'd definitely come back again.

Great service and good food. Wait was a little long but the beignets made up for it. I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid downtown Boise breakfast option.

Short walk from The Grove Hotel, 2nd floor with escalators. Lots of foo foo coffee choices if that's your thing...clean, lots of seating.. I sat at the counter had an amazing huevos rancheros...huge portions, I added blackened chicken..besides an amazing meal, everyone was polite, friendly, and actually seemed to get along..just young people working and laughing..not one grumpy face in the place...$22 plus tip...

    Fresh squeezed OJ can confirm!

We did have to have a small wait. I love the fact that they were busy! Nothing makes me happier than seeing a local business thrive! It was a little over 10 minutes of wait time. No problem, we chilled in the car till we got our text to come in. We were sat, got coffee and juice ordered and checked out the menu. We were both hungry so everything looked good. My husband decided on a stack of pancakes with chocolate chips and a side of biscuits and gravy. I got the Big boy omelet with Moe Joe's potatoes. Our server, I believe her name is Kendra, was super sweet! I have served her before when she came in and ate my at family's restaurant. She was fabulous as a guest and fabulous at taking care of us today. I had requested a fresh cup of half and half that wasn't used my multiple guests. I'm still bring careful with my new kidney. With no hesitation, she gladly gave me a fresh cup of half and for my coffee. I appreciate her kindness so much. Food came out and booooyyyyy did everything look amazing! My husband's pancakes were fluffy and had plenty of chocolate chips. The biscuits were covered with gravy. My omelet was massive and was also covered in gravy. I was ready to tear into them potatoes! They were nice and charry. I know this meal is about to hit! I don't think I said a word to my husband for 15 minutes. The food was so good! Nothing important needed to be talked about when the food was doing the talking for us. My omelet was stuffed with green peppers, onions and all the 3 meats that came with it. I love love love the gravy on top! The potatoes were crispy on the outside and so soft in the middle. The potatoes with gravy is top tier! Of course I tried my husband's pancakes.... so fluffy and sweet. The biscuits weren't crazy dense. I love that they were airy. I really had to hold back on the pancakes, I still had a whole omelet to work on. But them pancakes were the business! It's sad that this joint is clear across town. I would eat here every week if I could. Everything we had today was so good! Everything I had last time was good! The service is fantastic. I adore Memory and Peyton. Now I get to add Kendra to my list! One of the best breakfast joints in town, hands down! I'm so happy I got to start my birthday week at Moe Joe's! I look forward to coming back very soon.

We had a different server than our usual this time and she was fantastic. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out. I took away a star because the food wasn't as great as the last few times I visited. The eggs were overcooked (kind of dry and almost rubbery) and the hash browns were under cooked in the center. Now, if you've read my previous review, youd know how much i absolutely LOVE their pancakes - and I've made it my go-to spot for breakfast because of it. Well, either they changed the recipe or someone messed up this batch. It was nice and fluffy, but bland. That signature deliciously buttery flavor was nowhere to be found. I kept taking bites hoping my tongue was deceiving me... but there were no lies. Just disappointment. This is definitely a deal breaker. Maybe I'll try one more time. If it was just a one-time fluke, I'll update this review and stars. :::sigh:::

It has a nice ambience. Inside are a combination of booths, half booths, low and bar height tables, dark wood, with a nice semi-circular bar with a nice, semi-circular metal decoration that was filled with artificial plants, wine bottles, and small kegs. There was a wine rack accent wall on the right. It is located in downtown Boise at the corner of Idaho and 8th St along restaurant row. Our server was Matthew B, and while he was a nice guy, he did not provide good service. It took him a while to get to our table, then after we ordered drinks, it took too long to get them. We then ordered appetizers but he didn't take our dinner orders. We waited too long for the appetizers, and then we ordered our dinners, which also took a while to come out. Runners brought our food out, not Matthew. He did not to refill the women's sodas, we had to ask. He did bring another glass of wine to one of the men, but that was because he was signaled. He did not ask the other people that ordered beer and cocktails if they wanted another. We never had our water glasses refilled. We told him about the birthday celebration, and all he said was, if we ordered dessert, he would put a candle on it. What? Most places serve a complimentary dessert for a birthday celebration. He also took too long to bring us our checks. We're all good tippers. We gave him 15%; he didn't deserve it. The food was OK, not spectacular, but overpriced. As far as the apetizers, the asparagus fries were not that flavorful, though nicely crusted. The cauliflower was just OK, likewise the chicken wings. I did like the honey and balsamic grilled brussel sprouts. Speaking for my wife and I, she liked the BAM Sammy. The side salad was average. I ordered the Urban Burger. While the patty was cooked well, it was small. I can get a bigger, better burger that costs less at any number of restaurants we frequent, including a few near us (we live in Star). I did like the fries. Crispy, with I believe Parmesan cheese coating them. My friend said his smoked salmon salad was just OK. We found it very loud, and difficult to hear each other in conversation. Needless to say, we have no plans to return to Fork.

I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

I just found it so kind that they would be willing to still take us with the restaurant closing soon. It was busy which makes me so happy. And today's gravy and potatoes was money! My omelet was perfection. The onions and green peppers were nicely sautéed. There was a great amount of ham and bacon. The eggs were nicely cooked! Cheese that was in the middle was nice and melty. I ate the whole thing! Did I regret it later, yes but it was worth it! I finished half of my hashbrowns. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, these hashbrowns were fantastic! And the country gravy made them that much tastier. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. I most definitely enjoyed mine. Service was fabulous. Coffee was hot and always filled. Today's visit was truly fantastic. I heard that this joint is moving to Orchard. I look forward to coming and checking out the new venue. I know I won't be waiting another 20 years to come back. The food and the service was too good not to come back soon. I look forward to another omelet and one of their huge ass cinnamon rolls!
