This place is so cute inside love the old school diner vibes. I love beignet's I argue these are right up there with Disneyland's so good and we had a great server Ayezaya he was so nice and accommodating with my modifications. Cali beni was delicious!
I hadn't been there since they moved out of the old location where the soda fountain was. Lots of great brunch options. Vegan options too if that's your thing. the servings are very generous! We were greeted promptly and seated by the window, that overlooked eighth Street. A couple of things to note is they do not validate for parking and parking in the garage is pretty much the only option. I think it was an exception, but after our waiter took our order we did not see him again. My omelette came out almost cold. We had to ask someone for boxes and our check . Hopefully this is not the norm. The prices are on the higher side but it is downtown. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for breakfast locations.
This bustling place never disappoints with their service and meals! The staff is always super friendly and the restaurant is always clean. It's a little loud but enjoyable. I always order the mexi beni. Benedict's are my favorite brunch dish and this place by far has THE BEST from here to Cali. I've had so many Benedict's from soooo many places and this one takes the cake! Also the beignets are a must try!! They are always hot and fresh!
It's been months since my husband and I have been to Moon's. We were downtown for doctors appointments so it was only right to have a meal here. It has felt like forever since we have had one of their beignets. It was a great day to have one. We noticed that they updated their menu and we were excited to try something new. My husband got the Loaded B and G. It was right up his alley! Biscuits and gravy loaded with onions, green peppers, green onions, cheese and bacon. My husband did omit the veggies but what he got looked so good! I got the Country Scramble. Scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, cheese, veggies, country gravy smothered all over potatoes. Both plates were massive! My country scramble was so good! I swear country gravy on anything is so tasty. The potatoes were soft and savory. Plenty of eggs, meats and cheese on top. I only finished a third of my plate. It's enough to share! My husband's biscuits were smothered and covered. The biscuits were soft and paired perfectly with the gravy. We ended up taking half a biscuit home and I look forward to tearing it up tomorrow for breakfast. Moon's has and will always be one of the best local joints to have breakfast at. The staff is always so nice. The food is legit. You can't go wrong having a meal here. I look forward to coming back sooner than later.
I will for sure be thinking about this meal for the longest time. 10/10 going to one I visit when I come to visit from now on.
I came here for lunch during a work trip. We were promptly seated when we arrived. The menu selection has something for everyone. I selected a healthier meal - egg white veggie omelette with no cheese. It's nice they made healthy accommodations to fit my dietary needs. The ambiance is nice and warm inside and staff is friendly!
Moon's Kitchen is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots around! The portions are huge (definitely come hungry). Everything we ordered tasted amazing, super fresh, and full of flavor. The the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the whole vibe of the place is cozy and friendly. Great service, great food, and great value. Can't wait to go back for another big breakfast at Moon's Kitchen
This place exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing. My friend ordered the Irish Bennie and he ate the whole plate. I had the pancakes with the blueberry compote. I was also able to get a side of lemon curd for the pancakes. It was a beautiful match. I recommend. The beignets were ok. They aren't as good as going to New Orleans, but they are mid tier. I recommend the pancakes and lemon curd on the side. One bad thing about the restaurant, is that the music is so loud. Other than that, loved the restaurant. Lots of windows, great food, great portions.
Love love love Moon's! It's not a trip to Moon's if you haven't gotten the beignets. With the honey butter is divine! I usually get the hobo Benedict and it never disappoints. Always great. We ventured into trying the country scramble and it impressed me with how delicious it was. Get it with the red potatoes. The staff is always sweet and energetic. Never had bad service. And always funny signs to read in the restaurant. Always great to come here.

Root cellar omelet and 8th & Main iced coffee were to die for, the entire staff is so welcoming and team oriented! I don't brunch often but I'd wake up extra early for this. This place was one of the top rated breakfast spots in Boise so we decided to try it out. You may miss it because it is inside a mall type of building. As soon as I got on the 2nd floor where it is located, I saw many ppl waiting around. I assumed they were waiting for a table. Once we checked in with the host, she let us know it was a 20 minute wait. It was not bad so we waited. Once inside we were greeted by our server who was honestly one of the top servers ever. She took our orders and once our food arrived, she continued to check up on us all throughout. There were other people walking around with coffee refills too. Unfortunately I got too excited for my pancakes and did not take a picture but it was soo good! I actually got too full off from one pancake and took the 2nd home. The place was great honestly. Would definitely come back for breakfast when in town!

ALWAYS a great experience at the famous Moon's. This was my first visit since their move. I pigged out on a delicious Boise Beni with a heaping stack of crispy hash browns and washed it all down with a deliciously sweet Almond Joy ice latte. My husband enjoyed the popular John Wayne platter that he wolfed down like no one's business. My only gripe - the steep prices. Both our dishes were $19.95 plus drinks brought the total to over $60.00 before tipping. For breakfast? Even in this economy?! I don't pay much attention to prices when looking at a menu, but this has got to be one of the pricier breakfast options in the valley. Would I return? Sure. I get it, rent is due. It just caught me a little off guard. read more
Right when you walk in to Moon's Cafe, your greeting with a really cool atmosphere and a unique vibe. Our hostess and waitress were really nice and very welcoming right off the bat. Of course my friend and I ordered some beignets and we both agreed that they were the highlight of our experience. They were super fresh and really light and fluffy. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy which we both agreed that the gravy tasted almost a little too sweet. I got a hearty breakfast with hash-browns, toast, sausage, and eggs. Mine tastes very fresh but I will say lack some flavor. Also if your going on a weekend morning just expect to have a wait time. Totally understandable for the size of the restaurant and the amount of customer flow. But their team worked very efficiently and fast! Overall, I would definitely come back for some beignets and I'll have to try a coffee next time! read more

Whatever you do, do not skip the Beignets!! These were seriously some of the best I have ever had! The food was good! I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu, everything looked so good and I felt that the prices were reasonable. Service was speedy and I loved the hipster diner feel. The most interesting thing about eating at Moon's is actually just finding the darn place. While it's address is on Main its main entrance equipped with escalators to the second floor are located off of the pedestrian plaza without a street number address to be found anywhere. I was pleasantly surprised with, considering how hard it was to find, that it was as busy as it was and with predominantly a younger crowd. Something about the decor really clicked with me and Becca who attended to my table was especially pleasant and very attentive. Another funny thing was the pollished concrete floor and how it interacted with the ball type castors on the bottom of the chairs. This combination made it especially easy for my chair to move around and glide away from the table when I applied any kind of pressure against the table. Kind of had to wedge my feet to the floor to keep me in place. Would you otherwise notice this; I doubt it. But I'm off that way. Fun place, good food, music not too loud....yes I would return, especially since I know how to find it now. read more

Came here for brunch with my mom on the Saturday before Mother's Day. We didn't realize it was also graduation weekend, so the area was bustling--but even with the crowds, we only waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated, which was a pleasant surprise. The service remained attentive and friendly, and our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We both had the pistachio latte, which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet--definitely a highlight. I went with the classic eggs Benedict, which was spot on: perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and crispy hash browns on the side. We also shared a small order of the beignets, and they were fantastic--warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar. I really love their new location--it has a fresh, modern vibe with great views of downtown Boise. All in all, it was a fantastic brunch experience, and I'd definitely come back again. read more

Short walk from The Grove Hotel, 2nd floor with escalators. Lots of foo foo coffee choices if that's your thing...clean, lots of seating.. For notice, they don't sell alcohol here. The restaurant is found up on the second floor btw. We came in with a group of 10 on a Sunday and they got us in within 5 minutes even though the place seemed very full. Incredible. Service. Our server Annabelle was really sweet and helpful! They have a fly fishing shop over by where we sat, for those that indulge in the sport. Everything seems promising, but the food overall needs something more. Nobody was really blown away with the meal. Moons has been in Boise for many years. Some of the reasons why...Great food, great views, great coffee, great servers! Epic sized proportions. Moons Kitchen in downtown Boise has such a cool, hip atmosphere! The food was tasty, and the portions were generous. Our wait tress Ally was so sweet and attentive ! However, the prices felt a bit steep for breakfast--the "Hobo Beni" (pictured) was $19. The second dish shown is my daughter's kids' menu option, the "Moon Baby." Overall, a great spot if you're looking for a trendy breakfast spot, but be prepared for the higher price point! read more
