The Pad Thai is delicious - the noodles are perfectly cooked (not soggy and broken). And the pineapple curry is great! Beware that spice levels here are pretty hot. They also offer a "Happy Hour" with a free egg roll and drink from 11-3 Monday to Friday with most dishes. Dine in only. Only wish is that they'd fix the carbonation on their soda machine. We ordered the Veggie Egg Rolls as an appetizer, and we received for piping hot egg rolls - scalding hot interior even after waiting 5 minutes. It came with a thick, sweet sauce which made the egg rolls better; without it, the fried skin had a weird after taste. My friend ordered the shrimp wonton soup, and when asked whether to order a small or large, the server said that small would be more than enough. However, when his shrimp wonton soup arrived, it was very small and fit for a child or light eater. A large would have been much more appropriate. I ordered a Jade curry with chicken for myself, and I wasn't sure what to think. The curry was alright, but it was not spectacular or outstanding in any way. The chicken was very dry, and the curry was runnier than expected. Funny that I mention runny - this is something I wish the staff were during our visit. We had to wait 5 minutes before any servers were near our table, and when asked for water refills took another 5 minutes. Came here for the first time to celebrate my mom's birthday. Food was good. We ordered Pad Thai, Muay Thai wings, Panang Curry, crab fried rice, and summer rolls. My favorite is the Pad Thai. It was packed with full of flavor and was delicious. The Muay Thai Wings were also delicious. Actually, most of the items ordered were pretty tasty except for the summer rolls. The summer rolls had only 1 shrimp and the rest were just lettuce. The ambiance is nice and reminds me of the time my husband and I visited Thailand. Service was ok in the beginning then toward the end, not as great. Place was not busy at all. We were a party of 8. My sister asked the waitress for 8 small plates because we bought our Mom a cheesecake from across the street at Cheesecake Factory. The waitress responded, "For?" We clearly said for the cheesecake and there was a silent pause and she then said "let me clear these out first." Also, as we we were paying, my siblings and I decided to split the bill between the 4 of us so we had 4 credit cards and again the waitress gave us a response, "4!?" Yum! I've heard great things about this place and finally gave it a try after catching a game at the nearby King's Row. It was relatively packed with a few open tables at 8PM on a Sat night. We got a few dishes to share, family style - yellow curry, golden tofu, bbq beef, mango sticky rice and khao soi, a dish that isn't too common in thai restaurants here. The khao soi was so creamy and packed a bit of a kick, even my friend who is thai was really impressed. I really enjoyed their green thai tea too! The dumplings were really tasty, the wings were good but just a little over cooked as if it were fried couple times. The drunken noodle ooooh so so delicious, their fried rice were even better. Not authentic Thai food... If you don't know what authentic Thai food tastes like, you might think this place is ok. There are so many more better options to eat at in Pasadena. Pad thai is one of my favorite dishes that I enjoy if it's made right. However, this place did not do a good job. The flavor of it was way too sweet and the chicken tasted strange. All the noodles were stuck together and hard to separate. Even worse than the pad thai was the drunken noodle, which was super soggy and oily. All the noodles in the drunken noodle were broken into small pieces. It'd be difficult to eat with chopsticks. I guess this is why we were only given forks. As for the service... it was also not good. It wasn't busy during my visit, yet the waitress never checked up on us. She did not offer us any water until we asked for it. After finishing the bottle of water, she just took it away and did not bring us any more. If you want to use the Yelp check-in offer, it is only one per table. So if you have a big group and use it for the gyoza, you will only get 3 pieces of gyoza for the whole table. I've had many dishes that were made like this but this specific place was by far the best. The pork was well crispy and seasoned, the flavor was both pork and the sauce from the vegetable soup broth. It definitely stole the show The pad Thai and pad see u was not the normal ones I've had and I'm glad because they put a little twist in flavor which was rich and a great addition! Thai bbq pork was very tender and not fatty at all. The sauce that came with us looks spicy but wasn't and is a good mixture. The place was nice and dark yet well lit enough for you to enjoy the ambiance of a romantic dinner yet not too romantic. The place was kept clean. Really saddens me seeing this place empty on a Friday at 7pm. Locations is great, ambiance is modern, and service from my experience of placing an order to picking up my food was good. I ordered the green curry with rice to go, and it met my expectations. Sweet, savory, and slightly spicy. It was nice having big chunks of fresh eggplant and julienne bamboo shoots for a good crunch. The green curry was flavor to the max, filled with creamy coconut milk and spices. The moo ping is a must order because the meat was perfectly tender and soft. I was super excited to find a new place that has khao soi and after coming here, the hunt continues. First off, props to Moom for having khao soi. It's very rare for a Thai restaurant to have it on their menu and after we saw it on theirs we just had to try it. We ordered the beef and the chicken version. When you first try the both, it does taste pretty good but has a curry taste leaning towards the very sweet side. If I were to compare it to ordering boba on the sugar level, I would say 100% sweetness. As for everything else in the noodle soup, there wasnt a lot of noodles for the portion. I felt like they mainly added fried wonton noodles?? To replace some of the noodles. Not sure if they ran out of noodles or something. Beef was super tender. I liked the beef better than the chicken. Cost was about $15-18 per bowl. I probably won't be coming back, but it was worth a try. Also I wished that the workers would clean up after we left instead of when we were still there. Everyone was satisfied with their meal--I splurged and got the duck curry, which actually had a pretty generous serving of duck meat in it. I was pleasantly surprised. Towards the end, however, there was sort of a mishap with the bill. We were given the check of the party seated next to us, and after figuring out this wasn't our bill, it took maybe an additional 15 minutes for the restaurant staff to figure it out. Decided to try this place for the first time for lunch with my friend, and it didn't disappoint! The service was great, and we were surprised to receive complimentary drinks and egg rolls with our order. Our Thai teas were great, not too sweet. The vegetable egg rolls were also tasty. We ordered the golden tofu for our appetizer and chicken pad thai for each of us. The tofu was crispy and tasted good with the sweet and sour sauce with peanuts. The chicken pad thai was very good and came in a good portion. I also liked that it came with chili spice on the side, but I would mix it in slowly as it was a little more spicy than I expected when I mixed in about 3/4 of it. I went out of my way to leave this review because this restaurant is extremely disappointing. My experience has to do with ordering from them on Postmates. Several times, they allow my order to be placed and then I get a notification that says that they can't complete my order. We all know, that holds up the money until it's released by Postmates. If they cannot deliver at the time, or cannot deliver to the address, they need to remove their location from that area so that they don't come up as an option. Came in on a Sunday evening and there was no wait which was nice. The restaurant is very nice - clean and relatively spacious. While the restaurant itself and the service were fine, the food fell a little flat for me. We came with family so we ordered many different things to share. A small word of caution, the portion are just a bit smaller than other Thai places I have been to - it isn't the end of the world, but just something to consider if you are planning to do family style. First thing we got was a papaya salad which was EXCELLENT. By far the best item we ordered. It was crisp and tasted amazing. Probably the best I have ever had. We also ordered the Thai bbq beef which was seasoned well, but a few of the pieces were a bit chewy and tough. It comes with a sauce on the side that tasted okay, but the beef itself is flavored well. The hat yai chicken is essentially a fried chicken. Really delicate breading which was nice! The chicken itself didn't have much flavor and was a smidge on the dry side, but the sauce that it comes with was very good. It's a sweet glaze the really saves the chicken. This one tasted fine, and I'd recommend it if you wanted a chicken dish. The crispy pork pad ga pow was good! The portion for this was much smaller than expected, but it tasted great. It comes with string beans, bell peppers, and onions that are cooked in a sweet/salty sauce. I believe they use fried pork belly, which tasted great, but some of the pieces are a little tougher, so just take caution with that. The pad Thai with chicken was decent. I wouldn't say it blew me away, but it was standard. I would say it is a little on the milder side in terms of flavor. It isn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. The last thing we ordered was the crying tiger, which was unfortunately not my favorite. It's marketed as rib eye but was extremely tough. It was very dry, and was extremely hard to get through. Similar to the Thai bbq beef, it comes with a sauce which didn't save this dish. I'm not sure if maybe it was a fluke, but this dish was definitely something I wouldn't recommend ordering (despite sounding really cool and tasty!). Overall, I think that my experience was just okay taking everything into account. Overall prices are a little higher, portions are a tad smaller, and food was just okay for the most part. I would truly only recommend the papaya salad and the crispy pork pad ga pow from what I tried. If you are looking for Thai food and are in the area, it'll probably satisfy you. read more

The gyoza was crisp on the outside and the filling was a meatball texture. I liked them! Boat Noodles - very large serving! The beef was cut a little too big and unfortunately no blood cubes. The flavors were more muted than other boat noodles I've had and the noodles clumped together almost instantly. Panang Curry with beef - wish there was a little more rice here for the larger serving Tom Ka small soup with shrimp - my favorite dish of the meal!
