Boca Del Cielo - Bay Ridge Brunch Gem…read more I stopped by Boca de Cielo in the Bay Ridge area for brunch with the kids, and it turned out to be such a cozy and welcoming spot. You order your food at the front counter, and while we waited, the owner surprised us with a complimentary almond croissant since it was our first visit. It was absolutely delicious -- flaky, fresh, and easily one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. The menu has a great variety of options. We went with the steak and eggs and buttermilk street pancakes. The steak was tender and full of flavor, the home fries were seasoned perfectly, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. We also tried the Tropical Bliss Juice, a refreshing blend of pineapple, mango, and orange that's freshly pressed to order. From the warm decor to the amazing food and friendly service, everything about this place was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu!

Tiny little place, lightly decorated with Mexican themes. Came here based on Yelp's high ratings…read moreand it certainly lived up to praise. If you're looking for fanfare, this ain't the place. But if you're looking for some excellent, straight forward, wonderfully crafted simplicity, this is in your wheelhouse. A quesadilla is a quesadilla, a hamburger a hamburger. Sounds boring? Not when your hamburger and quesadilla are amongst the best you've ever had at any diner, anywhere. Our waitress was very nice and allowed us to dine, unbothered. We ordered a fresh fruit platter for dessert. It included watermelon, mango, grapes, apples, strawberries, etc. very nice, well presented. The dining area certainly belies what happens in that kitchen behind the door. I'll be back to try some more simple, but excellent food.

We were staying in the neighborhood and trying to find a spot within walking distance for dinner…read more After wandering around for awhile, we landed on Jey Diner after walking past. This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

Wow! Had a…read moredelicious brunch here with my fiancé and our family. You would never know this place has a restaurant in the back, and walking by it looks like a store that sells different things. Everything is made to order and their menu changes monthly. I had the churro French toast. It was very good and tasted just like a churro you'd get at a fair or a carnival. It came with a side of breakfast meat. I chose bacon and it was cooked to perfection. Other things that were ordered included banana pudding pancakes and the burger. Everything was enjoyed by all! To drink I had the Asian Mary, which was a Bloody Mary but with sake. Shortly after it came out our waitress came back stating she forgot to put the sake in it. Talk about being honest! I forgot what drink my fiancé had, but he enjoyed as well. Their coffee was also fresh and delicious! 5+ * for service and food! ** Venmo or cash only for payment !

I really enjoyed their Boom Bang Cauliflower Tacos and Turkey Reuben Panino. The tacos were especially flavorful and delicious. I'm definitely returning to try their pancakes and other flavors of tea next time!

As we all know, the D train stands for "delay" train so I opted to stop in for a little breakfast. I ordered their baby breakfast burrito & iced latte with oatmilk. From the chorizo, to the eggs, & some crunch from the onion, it was a delicious breakfast bite. Their coffee beans are from the Oaxaca region & their iced latte with oat milk is perfect. No sugar needed. Overall, my experience here was great. Food was good, drink was good...& the best part was it did not break the bank!! The burrito is filling, but also felt light with the mix of kale and tomatoes. My fiancé enjoyed his biscuit sandwich but said it was very heavy since he also got chorizo on his (standard is egg and cheese). He also enjoyed the caramel latte, made with Oaxaca origin coffee. Just a note since it's summer, it felt warm inside so we decided to takeaway. If that doesn't bother you, then there's plenty of small tables inside to sit.
