We go to Coven and get a beer, we have placed our order with Lupo and we will walk down, get our pizza, walk back and demolish it. Coven has some great beer, especially if you like IPAs; Lupo has Pittsburgh's best pizza; I cannot think of a better pairing. The service at Pizza Lupo is great, they are kind even when their phone is ringing off the hook. Our last time I was getting busy signals because calls were coming in so fast. Somehow they maintain the ability to get a pie out the door in under an hour. When we go there, there are boxes stacked high and they have a steady stream of people entering and leaving, never do I hear a complaint.

First thing first! Their food is absolutely amazing, the pizza, pasta and homemade ranch is to die for. The downfall is their hosts/service. They are all young girls with bad attitudes and literally no people skills. Any time you walk in they look at you like oh my gosh why are people here. This past summer I put a take out order in and not only was the girl taking the order rude( talking to another employee while on the phone with me and then asking me what huh rudely) but she didn't take my order correctly. When I got home and realized it was wrong I called back to make sure they gave me the correct order since nothing was correct. The same girl I talked to before answers and of course is bothered that I'm calling again and that she has to do her job and cops an attitude with me. I'm never the person to complain or pull a Karen and ask to speak with the manager but after the experience I had I ended up pulling the Karen. The manager was very professional and understanding. She offered to refund my order and give me a credit...not what i was trying to get out of by speaking with the manager but it was a very nice of her to do for us. A few months later my fiancé and i stopped in to eat and we told the women we had a credit and she says oh okay let me check the list. She literally pulled out a 3 ring binder of names dates and totals of people they owe for similar mishaps. I was literally like this is not real but it all made sense at the same time. I was in there this past week around 8pm on a Tuesday they weren't that busy considering it was 8pm on a Tuesday and when we walked in she told us it would be a few minutes. Well 15 minutes later there was no host/ waitress to be found and no one seated us so we ended up leaving. Monte Cellos I love you but the service at this location is just absolutely terrible and nothing has been done about it in a very long time. read more

I took a group of residents from a local personal care home and Elizabeth our waitress went above and beyond in taking care of us. The entire staff was so accommodating, pleasant, and gracious. The food was superb - everyone enjoyed their dishes so much - It was an excellent experience all around - I look forward to taking them out again! We were all extremely pleased!
