My friends and I enjoyed a delicious brunch here! the employees and really friendly, and despite being super crowded on a Saturday morning - our party of 6 was seated quickly. Very cute and cozy environment! You order at the counter and then the food is delivered to you. Our meals were a reasonable size, and came out fast as well. The only downside is that there only seems to be street parking, which can be a struggle on weekends.
This place has been a staple for me since it first opened. Today the service was really welcoming. We chose where to sit and ordered at the front, and the friendly waitresses came by occasionally to refill our coffees and waters. I got the breakfast bowl, which was delicious and a pretty good portion of food. My mom got the biscuits and gravy, which came out slightly burnt and she thought the biscuits were too sweet. The hashbrowns were also too greasy for her. However, the egg turned out perfectly and the gravy was tasty. Overall, it was a nice experience for a quieter neighborhood brunch spot. It's cute inside, clean, and has a quirky, local vibe.

I had no complaints on this dish I would recommend to order this. The Avocado toast was a bit pricey but I was very good. The egg was cooked to perfection and there was a good amount avocado. I would also recommend to order this. The pancakes were pretty similar to most places, but overall they were good and a nice size. I wish it had more banana slices though. I am giving this place a four star instead of a five because we had to go flag down and employee for a refill on our drinks. We basically ate our whole meal without a drink. The Service was super quick, the staff is friendly, and it seems like everything on the menu is delicious. The ambiance is casual and The parking is very minimal, so just use the nearest street parking right infront of the restaurant. Overall this would be a good option for your next brunch
Great service! Pleasantly surprised by how attentive the staff were. Food came out very fast also! You walk in and order at the counter. Seat yourself in the dining area. They give you a number, and they bring the food to your table. I wanted to try a bit of everything at this cafe. We stuck with mostly breakfast items and one lunch/ dinner item. All were delicious. French Toast 10/10 The French Toast was fantastic! It tasted so good. The bread was cooked well and nice, thick slices. It was dusted with powdered sugar and topped with fresh fruits. The fruits were very good on top. I splashed some syrup on this, and it was a great breakfast. Biscuit and Gravy Breakfast 10/10 My husband loved this so much. He kept raving about the gravy and biscuits. You get a huge biscuit lol My husband is so picky about gravy and judges a breakfast cafe by how well they do their gravy. He was impressed. That's a win lol Nachos 10/10 These were great! Fantastic chips, they were freshly made. The queso cheese is absolutely addicting!!! We were licking that off the plate lol It was so good and cheesy. Loved the nachos. The black beans and tomatoes were very good. Just needed some guacamole. Would order that again! Side of two eggs 7/10 The eggs were cooked all the way through. The eggs tasted a bit slimy. I wasn't a fan. I wanted sunny side up eggs, but they were just not cooked enough. Side of avocado 7/10 It was brown in color and had a mushy texture. It didn't taste well either. Not good. I get it through; avocado can be ripe one minute and brown the next lol Side of hash brown 10/10 Huge plate of hash! It was cooked really well. Crispy on the top and greasy. Delicious hash brown! I'd order that again. Overall, wonderful experience. We will be back! :)
I have mixed feelings about the service, but the food was delicious! The first lady to take my order seemed in a rush with how fast she was taking my order, even though no one else was in line, and the other customers were already done eating. I felt a little frazzled and couldn't get my order right. After that, she was nice when bringing out our food. Later on, a younger staff member came and she was fantastic and friendly. I got the traditional breakfast and green tea latte. The food was definitely filling! The green tea was alright; it wasn't as sweet as I'd like. Overall, the place was very cute and spacious, and I like the mismatched furniture which adds to the charm.
We came here for breakfast. It's a cute little cafe. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They do check on you but I don't really like this method. If they check on you and bring you water and condiments and food then I feel like they should just take your order at your table. We ordered the chicken and waffles. This comes with hot honey maple sauce and breaded chicken. Served over 2 house made waffles. Pretty good! We also ordered the biscuit and gravy breakfast which came with 2 eggs your way, hash browns, housemade Discur topped with country gravy. This was just okay to me. For myself... I have a slight obsession with omelets so I got the Veggie Omelette which came with Spinach, portobello mushrooms, red onions, and Monterey cheese. I got the hash brown as a side. I also got sourdough toast. This was really good! I love all the veggies! Their hash browns is super good! Very crispy which I like. For coffee, we got caramel macchiato... this was just okay. Their portions are good sizes and I do like their food. Not sure I will be back because there are other breakfast places I like better! All in all.... it was a good experience.
Came here on a Sunday morning and it was a little busy. It's located near a neighborhood but they do have a small parking lot otherwise you'll have to park on the street. When you come in you order first then take a seat. Servers were very attentive. The food was pretty good. I got the traditional breakfast and biscuit and gravy. I felt like the biscuit was kind of tough and the pancake was okay. They also serve lunch as well and it's a nice place to meet with friends and family for brunch.
Came to this Mom and Pop restaurant to see what it's about. I've been living in the city for about eight years now, and always would pass by it but thought it was somehow part of the community college across the street. Came in one morning to see what they had on the breakfast menu. When you walk in, it's a really big dining room space however, once you find a place to sit, you check out the menu and go up and purchase your food at the register. They have a small menu, which is pretty basic and to the point. As I walked around, I noticed everybody's food which looked delicious. I ordered the BLTA, and my friend ordered the breakfast with one waffle. I will say this...the bummer about my order was to find out that I had to pay separately for salsa, which was almost 5 dollars for both red and green. The food was good, the bacon on my sandwich was thick and yummy. The service was very quick, kind, and attentive as well. I ended up paying about $50 with tip, which is not too bad for breakfast but I feel it could've been a little cheaper for what we got. Overall, it's a cute place, the food is tasty but nothing to get me running back too fast. Would I go there again? Sure if somebody specifically asked me to. Am I dying to go back, not so much. Do I recommend you go? Sure, give it a try, there's always something out there for everybody!
I came back here with a friend a little before noon, and we both really enjoyed the dishes we got! Like last time, the workers were very kind and friendly. I got the Outlaw Burger, and I was very impressed by the presentation of it. There were onion rings stacked inside, and they were really tasty. The onions were soft and delicious. I got a side of tater tots, which were nicely seasoned and super crispy. My friend said the same thing about her fries, and there were a lot of fries. The patty for my burger was thick and good quality. My friend also enjoyed her sandwich too. We both had leftovers because of the big portions. We both would come back again to try more of their dishes! This is such a cute spot!
Monkey Business Cafe has a comfy and homey vibe that feels like a local favorite spot. This cafe is perfect for being productive or for relaxation. I visited twice on weekdays. Both times were calm with plenty of seating. You order at the register and seat yourself. Staff are friendly and helpful. I tried the Chilaquiles ($16), Breakfast Tacos ($16), and Chicken Tortilla Soup ($13). The Breakfast Tacos were my favorite -- you get two big tacos with egg, chorizo, cilantro, cheddar cheese, plus seasoned potatoes and black beans on the side. Their website mentions that they make their food from scratch whenever possible, and you can tell with the potatoes. The seasoning was perfect. The potatoes tasted fresh and homemade with the skins left on which I loved. All dishes tasted good and were shareable portions though everything could have used more warmth. The cafe sits next to a neighborhood. The parking lot is small but street parking is available as well.
Solid breakfast joint! Definitely gives off more of the classic diner feel, but they have a lot on their menu for a great breakfast. The restaurant is very spacious and has plenty of tables. Although, it was quite filled when we went and we had our dog with us, so we went to sit outside. There can be a lot of tiny mysterious bugs outside, so be careful! It was a nice day to eat outside at least so it was a nice experience. The server comes out pretty often so we weren't forgotten. We ordered a breakfast burrito and a breakfast plate with a side of waffle. The burrito was actually pretty good! My bf enjoyed that the most because it includes hash browns in it. The sauce that came with the dish was also very nice as well. The breakfast plate was also pretty solid, although the potatoes could definitely have been more crispy. Eggs were nice and fluffy that I got to share with my dog. The waffle was surprisingly pretty good too, it wasn't too doughy or dense, and it had a nice crisp to it. Also, our food came out soooo fast? Was surprised how fast it came out lol. Service was good and food is solid here.

This spot is right near my work. I walk here. I've had several items which are pretty yummy. But I've found my favorite spot for the best salad. Salads are expensive and places usually skimp on the ingredients. Not here. They use delicious salad greens-not your basic tasteless iceberg, walnuts, berries and cheese crumble. It is extra for the protein but well worth it. I like to have matcha but a lot of places don't have matcha without sugar. Here you can get that. Creamers are limited as well as sweeteners. I prefer mine with coconut milk and stevia and they have neither. Nonetheless, I still enjoy it. Now overall cost at this place is on the higher side so come ready to pay up. The thing that I take away is that they are a charity who assists young adults and I believe they are the ones who are employed. I love that! Service is as expected from a bunch of youth. I've learned to overlook it and just approach nicely with minimal expectation of reciprocity haha. Just being real . Definitely dig the street vibe though, very chill. Theme is consistent with the name and they have their own merch with some other on consignment. Legit spot with an overall spirit of giving. Get there. Ok first off, this place is so cute and inviting and their purpose is so great. We love what they stand for. We were greeted with smiles and the line moved very quickly. We decided to eat outside and although we were hesitant about it because we thought we'd be forgotten, we definitely were not. The food came out super quick and it was hot and steaming! My husband got the chili cheese fries and I got the chilequiles, both were great! He got hot chocolate and I got a vanilla latte both were also great! We Would definitely come here again! read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot in Fullerton. The so cal burrito, chilaquiles and breakfast bowl are my go-to's. Everything here is so delicious. They source a portion of their produce from the Cal State Fullerton arboretum and offer employment opportunities to at risk youth. They get all my support, love this place so much! My family and I ate at Monkey Business for the first time today and we really enjoyed it! The ambience was very comfortable and cute and the food was delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles, waffles, the traditional breakfast, and the McMonkey breakfast sandwich. The people that work there are very friendly and the service was quick. Best of all, the profits go to support youth in foster care. We will definitely be back! read more
We can here because we were visiting in the area and needed a place for breakfast. Since this place was close to our hotel and had decent reviews we decided do try it out. The breakfast burrito was pretty standard but the cheese wasn't melted in so it was a warm burrito with cold cheese. The chorizo tacos lacked flavor, the beans seemed to be unsalted and lacked seasoning, but the potatoes were decent. The waffle didn't taste like it was made with homemade batter, it was flimsy and tasted like Krusteez batter (which I love so while I didn't mind the flavor, I was hoping the batter would taste like it was made from scratch like it does at many other breakfast spots). The cream used on the waffle was good, the fruit was fresh, and they give you two waffles so you can easily share this if you want. Overall, staff is nice but the food is bland...gets the job done but nothing that really stands out. read more

July 25 10-11 am I was so excited to bring my family here. I've been here when this business made deli sandwiches and was not yelping as I should. I order Chocolate Chip pancakes , Chilquiles with scrambled eggs and a side piece of breast, Pulled pork burrito, 2 drinks and a water. We were served our food separately the pancakes came fist. We looked at each other and went with the flow and all shared. now those were delicious full of flavor. 2 huge pancakes we did not even finish them. 5 minutes later the burrito came lacked flavor horribly we added tons of salt. The biggest disappointment of my visit was I never recieved my food I ordered. In which was Chiliquiles green sauce with chicken. Instead my order was forgotten !!!!!! I asked what happened no one had an answer. I wanted my money back however, I had a few bites from my plate mind you waiting on my chicken! Chicken arrived it was cold not fresh sliced. I was highly embarrassed as i always have 2 to 3 family members along with me. read more

Extremely cute cafe but the parking is weird. It's mostly street parking with a little inlet for guest to park mix. The style of the cafe is mostly walk up/ sit down. But they do need more seating because there is a lot of 4-5 people tables and not a lot of 2 people tables. There are tables outside but it's way too cold/ hot throughout the year to sit outside. Comparably to other restaurants they don't give a whole lot of coffee. But they do give out your food in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is adorable and there are no booths or anything so you can have a look around and it's just like a big living room. I got the chocolate chip pancakes but it wasn't really chocolate chip. It was pancakes but with chocolate syrup on top which I thought was interesting and my boyfriends breakfast sandwich wasn't necessarily a sandwich either. read more

I came here with my mom without really looking at the menu or anything. We have always passed by this place and we finally decided to give it a try. I ordered a caramel macchiato with oat milk and my mom ordered a matcha green tea with oat milk. My mom really enjoyed her matcha she said it wasnt sweet at all but she personally enjoys it like that. My coffee was decent. I wasnt wowed by it but it wasnt bad. I ordered Javis breakfast sandwich: this was.... not good. i was really trying to eat it. The feta with the cilantro and jalapeños was just a good pairing at all. It tasted so bitter and was also extremely chalky. I feel like if they had something else as a spread rather than mayo it would be better and more flavorful? i wish i would have ordered something else nonetheless. My mom ordered the chilaquiles and she got the red ones. She absolutely loved them! I tried some from her plate and they were absolutely devine! super authentic and incredible. They serve it with two eggs. I forgot to mention we got a side of fries and they were soooooooo good! I will definitely be coming back to give it another chance. :) read more

It's a very spacious restaurant. The seating is plentiful, the decor gives homey welcoming feeling, and THE MUSIC!!!!! I couldn't figure out if I wanted to eat or dance! Eating won out by a hair . Let's get into it....food is simple and TASTY! No weird toppings or ingredients. My sister and I were ready to eat! We decided on this cute cafe/breakfast joint as there were a ton of reviews. We ordered: Turkey Club + Biscuits and Gravy ($24) The service was great and they were being good with following Covid guidelines. Our food actually came out in like - 12 minutes. We were also eager to eat in our cars. The serving size of both meals were huge! The biscuits came with (requested extra-crispy) hashbrowns and it was good. The gravy reminded me of a chowder and I didn't think it was salty enough but that might be a personal thing. The biscuit wasn't as flaky as I was expecting but it was still good. The turkey club was sooo yummy. The bread was toasted, the veggies fresh, and lots of turkey and I think bacon. The fries were great - they weren't super crispy but soft and flavorful. Presentation is good but the taste not so much. I was really disappointed because I've been craving chilaquiles and it was super salty. My mom got the Huevos rancheros and she felt the same way. Too salty! My blood pressure was for sure elevated after eating here because of the amount of sodium in my food and the disappointment lol. Service is okay. The food came out right away. Parking in the back. No wait for seating. All in all, I don't recommend this restaurant. Won't be coming back. read more

Fast service, extremely friendly staff. If you go in super hungry, you'll leave stuffed and with a doggy bag! They serve huge portions! My partner had the loaded potato, with the tater tot option (see pic) and it was exceptional and of course so large we brought that home also. Lots of very flavorful barbecued pulled pork mixed with perfectly cooked tater tot's and it rocked! I had the outlaw burger which was absolutely huge (see picture) I think it's more than a half pound, Great bacon, fresh pickles, and stacked with onion rings, of which the onion rings that accompanied it had to of been at least another half pound of great food! Unbelievable portions, great organization, great for the community! Highly recommend to all! read more

It can be loud during breakfast hours on the weekends because of how busy it can get. I like the tables and chairs used though, feels like your at home.

I don't think it's a standard latte. I had the macchiato and it tasted like a generic drink.
