There's plenty of seating indoors & outdoors. & service is pretty spot on here, everyone is helpful & attentive & everything is streamlined with the guests in mind. You can order hours in advance, online, or in store & there's curbside available too. From drinks, to small bites, to smoked fares (bbq), to the sides everything here SMACKS. Honorable mentions are definitely their coconut scented rice (so fragrant and addicting), Brussels sprouts (lovely char & the gastrique they're tossed in is to die for), sesame rice noodles, butcher's cut, brisket (so good it often sells out FAST!), smoked turkey (also sells out quick), yuzu soda, and their coconut matcha limeade(reminds me of a Brazilian limeade but with WAYYYY with more soul) Hands down one of the best stops in Austin whether you're at the domain or further south, they've got two passionate programs available for you. Highly recommend checking these guys out, you won't be disappointed!

Did not have a reservation on this occasion, but they always make me feel welcome and manage to fit us in. Sat on the outdoor covered patio that was cool and shaded. The atmosphere is modern and lively, making it a great spot for a weekend brunch. Started the meal with cocktails including Lycheetini with Deep Eddy Vodka, Giffard Lichi-li. lemon, cranberry, I cut the cranberry. Also had a Fresa Paloma with Socorro Reposado Tequila, Contratto, strawberry, lime, grapefruit, five-spice that was very sweet and garnished with a flower. You are given a card where you can mark your dim sum selections. I ordered the Shrimp Pancake, Snow Crab Ball and Chinese Sausage Sticky Rice. The standout was the shrimp pancake that had a really great texture and flavor. The snow crab ball had a strange texture with shrimp surrounding the snow crab claw. The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. The presentation of the food is amazing and everything came out hot and fresh. The flavors were on point, and you can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. Service was attentive outdoors and the pacing of dishes felt just right for a relaxed brunch. This restaurant is truly a gem whether you come for brunch or dinner service. Will definitely be back.

The flavors were spot on and delicious. The only challenge we had was that they would not allow split checks or at least partially split checks - so we spend a huge amount of time figuring out what everyone owed. I wouldn't do a large group here in the future, but I'd definitely come back for a date or small group.

Adding protein to the noodle dishes is a huge win and keeps me coming back. I would love to see more options like beef, chicken, shrimp, and especially brisket in noodle dishes. A customizable bowl with rice or noodles, vegetables, protein, and sauce would also be a great addition and strong value. Major miss: the egg roll. Moving from multiple spring rolls to a single flaky, freezer style egg roll feels like a big downgrade. Honestly a disaster compared to the rest of the menu. I come often, the drinks never miss, the staff is fantastic, and event menus are always top notch. Hoping to see a few tweaks back in the right direction. When a server finally came over, she walked us to a table, slammed the menus down, and walked off. Rude for no reason. Food was just as disappointing. The rangoons were good. My husband wanted orange chicken but it wasn't on their brunch menu, they were kind enough to still make it, which we appreciated. It was good, but everything else? No. The "mala fried chicken" was basically chicken nuggets with steamed rice, the menu said it had chili oil, I expected it to be drizzled over the chicken but instead was sitting at the bottom of the bowl. I didn't notice it till the end and since I thought they had forgotten it, I asked for some and got just the oil. Idk if that's the way they do it, but usually when I ask for chili oil I receive the chili flakes with the oil. Anyways, it was mid. But the brisket fried rice..... now, that had zero flavor. We barely touched it, left the whole thing behind. Between the attitude and the food, it's a no for us. Wouldn't come back.

Please note that Sa-Tén is in an industrial-style complex and can be easily missed. The anchor point is a large green Canopy sign. After circling a few times, my friend and I started to meet at Stargazer instead for coffee. After having coffee at Stargazer, we decided to grab breakfast "to-go" at Sa-Tén as my Art contest start time was nearing. It is literally diagonally across the street from Stargazer. Sa-Tén means "coffee lounge" or "café" in Japanese. It traditionally refers to a relaxed neighborhood coffee shop...a place meant to be a welcoming community space. The coffee shop is small with wraparound glass windows emitting an abundance of light. Sa-Tén's interior is unassuming...really non-distinct. My friend ordered the last salmon toast, however, since she had previously tried it, she allowed me to have the last one. Such a thoughtful and kind friend...she ordered the bacon, egg and cheese toast instead. Let me just say this salmon toast was the bomb diggity. Our server described this breakfast item as salmon on white toast...what a major understatement! Our toast was even larger than Texas toast with a brioche taste and perfectly toasted. Quite honestly, I could have just eaten the toast all by itself. The salmon and cheese enhanced the taste. What a spectacular discovery! My friend was pleased with her selection as well. I will seek out Sa Tén when I'm on the East Side again.

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. Every roll was enjoyable and I felt like each had a little twist that really made the flavors explosive, like a shaved onion or a crispy puff on the side of the roll. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in.
