Had dinner at Tandoor recently and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was clean and relaxed, and the service was very friendly. The biryani was especially good -- the chicken was moist, flavorful, and literally falling off the bone. The paneer tikka masala was also a standout and full of flavor. Portion sizes were generous and the prices felt like a great value for the quality and amount of food you get. The only thing I'd personally like to see changed would be fountain drinks and ice water instead of canned or bottled drinks, but that's a pretty minor thing overall. She ordered me a mango lassi and we split a garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, paratha, and a mixed grill platter with chicken malai, paneer tikka, and I *think* beef bihari. The paneer was a bit salty, but good. The breads were just ok, but everything else was amazing. I ESPECIALLY loved the beef bihari and chicken malai and brought the leftovers home for my husband, who already says we're coming back for takeout. So good. Came here for lunch on a Saturday early in the afternoon. We had no wait time and less than half the tables were full for the duration of our visit. The service was pretty slow given the number of employees and patrons, it took a solid 15m after we were seated for anyone to come by. We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us too much, but thought it was noticeable enough to ding the experience a little I suggested this spot specifically because of the beef nihari and it did not disappoint! The curry was savory and super flavorful. Usually I expect the protein to not be anything special in a curry dish but the beef was fall apart in your mouth melty and delicious. The naan was also very good, just the right mix of softness and some burnt bits. One of the first times I've had Pakistani food and it was good! The atmosphere set a great vibe and service was pretty quick. Our waitress was super helpful in explaining the menu and giving recommendations. We got a paprika chaat on the house to start off and it was a melange of flavors that had some nice crisp, sweet, creamy, herby and hit a lot of nice notes to wet the appetite. For the main, my friend and I tried the chicken malai boti and the chicken Bihari boti and both were tender and juicy chunks of grilled chicken and onions. I liked the malai better - more herbal and fresh vibes complimented the smoky chicken better. The Bihari wasn't overly spicy but it definitely has a gutteral kick to it. Garlic naan pairs really well or you can get it with a bowl of rice. All in all, unique dining experience for something new that was tasty. My husband ordered the mix platter and the kebabs were tender, well cooked, well flavored, and filling. I, being vegetarian, ordered their weekend special of aloo-Poori-Chana-halwa and had an excellent meal. My family is from Delhi and these flavors reminded me of visiting my grandmother growing up. We tried their soft open menu and ordered the Dahi Puri, Chicken Biryani, Mixed Grill Platter, and the obligatory Mango Lassi. The Dahi Puri description mentioned potatoes, but it felt more like chickpeas--either way, they were pretty tasty. Personally, I prefer a different style from another region, but these were enjoyable. The Chicken Biryani was fantastic--Pakistani-style but with potatoes, which really elevated the flavors. As any Bengali will tell you, the potatoes make the biryani and they are not wrong! The Mixed Grill Platter was also well done. My favorite was the Beef Bihari Kabab, with its paste-like texture. The Chicken Malai Boti was soft and creamy, while the Chicken Tikka was marinated as expected. I do wish the platter came with at least two naan or parathas, instead of having to buy them separately. The Mango Lassi was delicious, though I only managed to get one sip before my kid claimed the rest! One suggestion would be to offer more kid-friendly items, as most of the regular menu options are a bit too spicy for the little ones. Price-wise, it came out to around $28 per person with tax and tips. The service was attentive and checked in for feedback throughout the meal, which I appreciated. First time coming to Tandoor after seeing the influencers rave about it. The restaurant serves mainly Pakistan and Northern Indian cuisines. We came at 1pm on Saturday and it wasn't crowded but only had a few tables occupied. The interior was really new and had a nice decor to it. We ordered chai for 2, and it came out in a very traditional way. It also tasted authentic too. For entrees, we ordered the beef nihari curry and grilled platter including beef seekh , tikka chicken and the beef Bihari roll. The curry was spicy, but I think it lacked some spice flavor to it. We did enjoy the beef Bihari roll a lot, it was so tender. As for the beef seekh and tikka chicken, it was a bit dry. Service was accommodating and decent. For us, it was serendipitous....a chance meeting with their catering manager at their resturant...made everything fall into place. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Tandoor's Catering Team for our son's graduation party, and I can confidently say working with them was one of the best decisions we made for the event. On the day of the event, Tandoor showed up with a full team who handled the entire setup beautifully. Three stations, appetizers, diner and desserts. The chafing dishes, were beautiful. They added their own esthetic to our event. The team didn't just drop off the food -- they created a welcoming and well-organized dining experience that fit perfectly with our celebration. Throughout the evening, their staff kept the food and drinks fully stocked, ensuring no guest ever had to wait or go without. The food itself was exactly what we had discussed -- 8 dishes, hot, tasty and made to specifications we requested. They were full of flavor, beautifully presented, and served at the right temperature... The drink options were just as we had requested, and everything flowed smoothly all night long. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! And at the end of the evening, Tandoor's team handled all the cleanup, leaving the space just as they found it -- spotless. Ordered online for pick up. Got 2 different mix grill platter. Few things to note -- even thought it is two different order they package it together into one container. So be careful when you order and people have certain food allergies or food they do not like cause they seem to pack similar food together. Another thing -- usually at other similar restaurant this would come with rice and sides. Well this does not and it doesn't mention that. So for the same price at other restaurant you are not getting the same value. The chicken was probably the best part of this. As the rest of the meats were very dry and hard to shallow. It's a bit far when we actually live in Austin but we made the drive to Ceder Park cause my friend wouldn't stop raving about it. We came on a Tuesday night and there was plenty of seating. We ordered appetizers and entrees in family style so we can all try different things. Everything we tried was amazing and I'm not gonna try to butcher the name of dishes here. My favorite was the mutton curry. So yummy!!! The total came out to be about $35 per person when split among the three of us. Let me start off by saying that I DO NOT give a 5 star review easily. That being said, we were about 20 minutes out and we called and had the option to put our name on the wait list. When we arrived the seat was just being cleaned for us. In the front we met the owner, Nida, who told us that the restaurant was open for 10 months and recommended the karahi and let us know the biryani was made twice a day. The ambiance and music was nice as well. It was nice to have actual Pakistani music playing. The restrooms were also nice. The women's restroom was stocked with a changing table, wipes, spray, listerine and extra toilet paper. The best part is the fact that they had a Muslim shower which majority of Muslim owned restaurants do not prioritize! Extra points for that. The place was clean and the servers were constantly checking on us. We ordered dhai puri for appetizers, as well as a mango lassi and mango mint for drinks. Both drinks were good. The dhai puri also lived up to its name. For entree we ordered a mixed grill platter with (malai boti, chicken tikka and Bihari boti), biryani, naan, Bihari and mutton karahi. Every thing was exceptional. This is authentic Karachi food, not a mellowed version. If you wanna have less spicy or bland food, move on. The food and flavors literally transported all of us to Karachi. Superb job! The cherry on top was the doodh pathi chai! Please visit if you want an amazing dining experience! Went to Tandoor By Kababeque on a rainy Saturday night today, and even though there were only two staff members working, the service was still amazing! They managed everything so well. This was my first time trying Indian Pakistani food from here and oh my goodness I was blown away by all of their foods they are absolutely scrumptious!!! Chicken Tikka Masala is my go too and favorite! I love their buttered Naan Bread so much it's delicious with any entrée! Also their Mango Lassis is very flavorful and refreshing as well!
