Definitely not a quiet or relaxing place, but the atmosphere is friendly and lively, filled with fragrant scents of spices. We order the butter chicken and the sagam spl mutton chops masala. The butter chicken didn't disappoint, just as good as last time. I asked for advice for a dish that was NOT rich or to spicy. The masala that I received was very spicy and there was so little meat, mostly bones in my bowl, perhaps 1-2 oz of mutton. We asked for some chai, with the milk on the side. We were served first coffee, which we had to ask to be exchanged, then the tea was good, but was served with the milk in, not on the side. Very, very small drink, tasty but definitely not worth the price. Perhaps our requests were lost in the loud environment or the translation, but they need to work on that. The flavors are good, strong and authentic, but be prepared to enjoy something you didn't expect. The plain naan was a bit for my taste.

Talked us out of getting the paratha because he said it's frozen. Super grateful to him. He helped us order for us and we got chicken and goat pulaos. Kids chose to get chicken tikka and I think the chef could use a class on that. It wasn't tikka masala at all. Kids just dipped in the sauce and ate the food. The naans were very crispy and we weren't a fan of that. Everything was tasting good. We got a ton of Togo. This morning we heated the pulao and it already had gone bad. What a bummer! Glad for the service didn't care for the food.

This is how our experience faired. Food : excellent cuisine with great flavor and unique takes on dishes. The servings were quite plentiful for the price. The only one that we felt missed the mark was the vada as though it tasted good, the level of sweetness was too much when you are eating savory dishes as well. So we give it 4.5 Stars. Ambiance: I would have to say that the ambiance is average at best. Nothing to write your parents home about, nothing really unique or memorable about the tables or decor. 3 Stars Service: servers and staff were very nice but service seemed very disjointed and confusing. You would have a server come and take your order but then they could not take your orders for drinks, someone else had to come and do that. Service also was very slow. We never got a refill of water the entire time we were there nor did anyone ask if we needed anything else. Also we were given only small square napkins that you can literally go though 10 of those with Indian food so cloth napkins would be a better option. We also had to ask for plates and even waited 12 minutes to cash out after requesting the check. 2 stars Other: they were out of ingredients to make the majority of drinks on their menu which is unheard of. 2 Stars Service In summary this restaurant has the capability of being something really special but they need to really step up their game and clean up and fix quite a few things. I don't know too many people who would find our experience acceptable. Having very good food is not enough. I will try them again at some point but hope the hiccups are because it is a new restaurant so will give them the benefit of the doubt

This restaurant takes pride in its freshly sourced/in-house ingredients and healthy cooking style…read more We ordered five items from their menu and did feel the freshness of the ingredients in the food we ordered. The chef has worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant (Semma in NYC) before, but that doesn't mean they cater to everyone's tastes. There's a lot of hype on social media and posts of some celebrities visiting the restaurant. It's great to see all that. Well, celebrities also visit grocery stores and small businesses all the time. That doesn't mean anything to what is offered by the business (IYKYK). There are other factors that are more important in providing a great experience when you visit a restaurant: Food presentation: The presentation of food is great!! It's not a mound of rice or a bowl of curry. It's presented artistically. You will notice the difference when you see it. Food taste: Food presented well doesn't necessarily taste well. You will know this the moment the food touches your taste buds. All the items tasted meh. Nothing to write about. Nothing to talk to anyone about. Nothing that deserves going back the second time. Healthy cooking can also produce tasty food. This restaurant is the opposite of that. Service: It's the same as any other average restaurant in the city. Waiters wait tables; you serve your own water. Slow when busy...the usual average restaurant service that is not bad, not great. Ambience: Simple and serves the purpose. Just some tables and chairs you eat on. Tables are close to each other, with nothing fancy in terms of the ambience. You can see the street through glass windows and doors. Value: Every item is overpriced. It almost seems like they want to make as much profit as they can before going out of business. There's nothing else that justifies the price (even after considering they use organic ingredients). Health: For a restaurant that takes so much pride in healthy cooking and fresh ingredients, they happily give you to-go food in plastic containers. Overall, go there when there are any celebrities visiting and you want to catch a look at them. For anything else, there are definitely better restaurants. Finally, pray that you don't get one of those lopsided tables that just enhances your overall experience

We also went with the momo (Nepali Dumplings. We went with the Kothey momos which you can choose from veg or chicken ($9) and they come with 5 served with a dipping sauce. These were another hit! We asked for "baby spice" for our spice level, and they did a great job accommodating us. Everything still had plenty of flavor and just the right amount of heat for us without being overbearing. The restaurant itself is pretty no-frills and could use a little touching up, but everything was clean and service was quick. Also, they didn't offer or show an itemized receipt nor upon paying in the end so you'll need to request one I assume.
