If you haven't eaten here yet, you need to get yourself over here now! This is a hidden secret of exquisite cuisine. This place is amazing! Best customer service experience...we were treated like family and the food, it speaks for itself! We prefer our meals to be hot and spicy, and the chef delivered! The crab soup is absolutely delicious. We have tried various dishes, and all of them have been served hot and have tasted fresh and delicious. If you don't know what you want to eat, just ask Prem. He is very patient and is happy to answer any questions that you may have about any of the dishes and can make suggestions based on your interests. The chef loves what he does, and takes the time to visit the table to ask the customers about their experience with the dishes they have ordered. To me, this is going above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience. The meals are unique and have a "made with love" touch to them that is not at all easy to get. Here are some items we have tried: tawa salmon, crab soup, schezwan prawns, bullet naan, filter coffee, chapati, tandoori pamphlet...all very delicious!! This is our new 'go to' place for comfort food and 'feel-at-home' ambiance. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for rich and flavorful Indian Cuisine experience!

    Goat Kurma

Decent place for indian food. Clean and spacious (but has a little bit of smell, as expected? from all the spices they use). The service was good and very quick. The food was good overall but had some caveats: 1. Their Mild was not consistent. The mild for biryani was quite spicy whereas the mild in Korma was normal. 2. The Goat Korma was good but it was bit too sweet. The chapati was very good. However the samosa was not what I expected. It was a baked version and not fried. We also only got two. They seem to have a breakfast buffet which I haven't tried but looking forward to.

Loved it. Fresh food, clean and prompt service. Nice spice level. Here's a few pics of the lovely meal.

Just walked in here randomly and loved it. We all had the buffet which was amazing and had a huge selection! The Saag Paneer, Chicken Curry, Vegetable Curry were my favorites and the Biryani as well.

We also met some great guests, and one couple lives near us. We really connected and we will be going to lunch with them in two weeks. Whiskey Cake has been on my list of places to try…read more I was in Round Rock today, so today was the day! I entered in, and just to the left, a host greeted me in. I said this was my first time here, and that I was excited to try them. She was super polite, very friendly. She sat me at a booth. She walked away for a quick minute and came back with a water glass and a small pitcher of ice cold water. My server came around. And gave me my menu and said you gotta try the whiskey Cake. Cake? Did someone say cake? Yes please. With cake on my mind. I thought I better balance this out. So I played it safe and got the grilled chicken salad. Also she said everything is house made from scratch, such as the cocktails, juice, salad dressing and so on. I did order a juice from the bar. It was the Jessica Wabbit with mint, carrot, lime, ginger, and some other flavors. The drink was handed to me first. Lovely flavors, could taste the fresh mint, fresh ginger. A little sweetness with the pineapple. Brilliant mix of flavors. The salad was very large. Dressing was fresh, rich with basil and garlic. Chunks of bacon and wedges of hard boiled eggs, avocado chunks, blue cheese scattered around, and the grilled chicken, warm juicy and beautifully chard. Love that charred flavor. The salad dressing was really delectable. Wonderful salad. Next came the whiskey cake. This cake should be its own food group. The cake itself has a beautiful flavor, it's a little dense, in a good way. The sauce is outstanding, it's toffee and sweet. Heavenly really. Pecans on top are spiced. I could only eat half of the cake. I'll snack on that later tonight. The food was outstanding. I would love to come back and try other food items. Service was perfection. I had so many wonderful conversations with everyone I came in contact with. I was wished well by everyone I passed by. Even in the bathroom, the host was coming out and she asked how my visit was. I mean, just the most genuine southern hospitality. Top notch service! Parking lot was packed. And they do have a pretty large lot all around the building. So you know this has to be The Place for an afternoon lunch or family dinner.

The whiskey cake is probably this restaurant's saving grace as the cake is decadent moist, and the combination of the pecans with the caramel and the whipped cream all just make it so delicious. It was definitely worth the wait to have it at the end and in retrospect, it probably would have done well to have first since the food that we ordered was a little more on the lackluster side. I found it hard to be impressed by the prime rib and Gouda stack as they were no defining flavors for this rather expensive sandwich and the mac and cheese was also not very memorable. When it comes to the service provided at the restaurant, there were many times where it felt as though our table had been forgotten to be waited upon, despite there not being many other people at the restaurant. Overall, I think my experience at Whiskey Cake was OK and while I may not return for the food necessarily, I would for the cake.

We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken and waffles, and the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread. Before I get to the food, I want to recognize the excellent customer service. Since it was my first visit, I had quite a few questions. The employee helping us was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the flight options, and let us know that everything was made fresh to order, so there would be a short wait. I appreciated the transparency, and when our food arrived I soon found out it was worth the wait. The standout for me was the grilled cheese waffle with tomato soup. The soup tasted homemade, with bright tomato flavor and generous chunks of tomato throughout. It was fresh, and absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese featured a flavorful muenster and provolone instead of the standard cheddar you find everywhere else, and the waffle itself was crispy on the outside with a perfect gooey cheese pull. My friend enjoyed the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread since I'm not a huge fan of Biscoff. I did try the strawberries and cream, though, and both were excellent. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and firm, while the cream tasted rich and homemade. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and the waffle had a wonderful texture: light and airy inside with a crisp exterior. It was served with syrup and a remoulade-style sauce. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with fun murals, word art and nods to Round Rock. For a first visit, Waffle Love made a fantastic impression. The next time I'm in Round Rock, I'll be ordering another waffle flight, probably the same 3 selections, just without the Biscoff spread.

But I'm really glad I still gave it a chance because my experience was the complete opposite. The service was warm and welcoming, and everything we got both looked and tasted amazing. We were exited to take my niece to the 'unicorn place' and support a plant based shop. It was super cute and she was excited about the decor and unicorns. Came a little after 9am on a Friday, it was maybe half full, but it took about 40 minutes to get two lemon tofu toasts. I was patient until my niece was getting antsy, she finished her pastry, we both finished our mediocre coffees, still no toast... I checked and the Apple Pay time stamp went through more than 30 minutes prior. I asked staff if our toast was still coming and they replied rudely like I was being a jerk to even ask. Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88. Pretty ridiculous, and I am used to California, Bay Area prices.
