    Bone and chewy tendon
    Brayla M.

The samosas and naan were really good. The butter chicken tasted fine until I had an extremely sharp bone, chewy tendon, and a weird nut or something found in my food?? The chicken did look a tad suspicious but I ate some before I started finding bad pieces, which was half the bowl btw.

Ordered from Curry and Momos through DoorDash and tried three items: Chicken 65, Chicken Chow Mein, and Jhol Momo. Let's start with the good stuff--the Chicken Chow Mein was amazing! The spices were spot on, and the flavors took me straight back to India. I'd come back just for that. Now for the not-so-good. The Chicken 65 was probably the worst I've had. It was just dry, fried chicken breast pieces with no seasoning--like, not even salt. Super disappointing. I was also excited to try the Jhol Momo, but it didn't hit the mark either. The sauce wasn't spicy at all and just felt really bland. So, overall, I'd skip the Chicken 65 and Momos, but I'll definitely be back for the Chow Mein. That's why it's a 3-star experience for me.

Stumbled upon this out-of-the-way food truck. Man who cooked for us is from Nepal. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Place has a very authentic feel. If it wasn't for the auto repair shop right next-door loaded with American vehicles, it would feel like you were somewhere in Kathmandu.

    Menu

Incredible food across the board. Best momos in Texas. Wonderful service. Vegetarian friendly. Will go back again and again.

We had the best server, our little group quickly vibed with her! Of everything we sampled, the Samosa Chat and Sag Chicken were my absolute favorite - the spice was on point. I tried the Ulavacharu soup--absolutely delicious. It's main ingredient is horse gram, which apparently is in the legume family. It wasn't like any soup I've had before, so description is a bit tough. It was fairly spicy to start with, but less so as I kept eating it. The only things I could identify was ground up horse gram, some sweet onions, and some thinly shaved ginger, but it had a lot of complexity. Highly recommend that and the rose milk (especially if you need some relief from the spiciness when you start out.) I had a little bit of my friend's butter chicken sauce, and that was excellent too. More heavily tomato-based than I'm used to, but a lot of depth of flavor. I'd happily order that in the future. I can't wait to come back and try their buffet when my diet restrictions are over :) Service was great. I asked if a few of the menu items have coconut in them since I'm allergic, and our server double checked with the kitchen for me and was very nice about it. Really pretty dining room as well. The location isn't as central as I'd like, but that does make it easy to find parking in the lot. Definitely recommend!

The food is absolutely delicious and very very fresh!!! I have a pretty good heat/spice tolerance and I found it highly spiced and fragrant. You might ask for light spice if you're more delicate. We had two lunch boxes, one veg and one not, to sample more offerings, I cannot recommend it highly enough. What magic they do to that cauliflower. Crisp outter coaster without being heavily battered, and tender delicious, perfectly cooked inner. The dal was flavored magnificently. Often it's a sad pile of peas. Not here. The buttered naan that came along was thin and chewy and crisp at the same time and we had enough to take home. The chicken was tender and highly spiced. The potatoes perfectly soft yet managed to not fall apart. Fresh samosas were shatteringly crisp with a fluffy tasty potato filling. The portions are huge even by Texas standards. The value is enormous the prices more than reasonable. This tiny place needs to be high on locals radar I can't wait to go back. This place is going on my rotation

Our party of 4 devoured this appetizer. - Hariyali Chicken Kebab - this was not what I expected. It was served with a gravy like a curry, when I'd expected a dry kebab dish from the grill. It was not my favorite. - Malai Kofta - yum! She got out and came to the front to talk to us about what the items on the menu are and asked what we like to eat and gave us suggestions on where to start when we asked what she recommended we order for our first time at their truck. We ended up ordering Masala dosas(crepe-like with masala filling, not spicy, large serving size), Pav bhaji (if you like spicy I definitely recommend this one, it's like a vegetable curry that comes with toasted buns), and the Mango Lassi(a traditional Indian yogurt smoothie). This was the perfect order size for 2 people to share a dinner or one very hungry person. They have decorated their area in the food truck park with plenty of seating with clean picnic tables and lots of hanging lights and plants. It's a very cozy setting and there are places in the shade to enjoy your food right away. I'm really happy to have a Northern Indian cuisine in Hutto and especially another food truck in the "food truck park" that has mostly been empty all year. I hope they stay and we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu soon!

One of the most memorable dishes we had was a special that our server highly recommended--and it was truly a showstopper. I wish I had gotten the exact name because I can't find it on their online menu, but visually and flavor-wise it was stunning. It came wrapped and cooked in a banana leaf, layered with rich, velvety saag, what tasted like thin dosa or chapati layers, egg, aromatic spices, tender chunks of meat, and curry, all melded together into this beautifully perfumed, steamy package. It was served with a cooling yogurt sauce and a chili sauce that balanced the heat perfectly. The presentation alone was gorgeous, and the flavors were deep, earthy, and incredibly comforting. We also ordered the curry goat, which was delicately spiced with a wonderful, slow-building heat. The meat was tender, the gravy rich without being heavy, and it paired perfectly with the simple white rice that let the complex spices shine. The tandoori goat chops were the family favorite by far. Everyone loved the smoky char and bold marinade. Personally, I found them a bit softer than I prefer, but the flavor was outstanding--robust, well-seasoned, and unmistakably tandoori. Finally, we ordered the Tandoori Pomfret to go, and I had it later with rice porridge. It was absolutely scrumptious. The fish was fragrant, beautifully spiced, and still juicy, making it the perfect comfort meal with the warm, soothing porridge. Overall, Subham Chettinad Grill delivers authentic, soulful Indian cooking with layers of spice, heat, and aroma that feel both traditional and thoughtfully prepared. If you're looking for real South Indian and Chettinad-style flavors in Austin, this place is a must-try.

We got complimentary papdi chat which had papdi, green chutney, yogurt and sweet chutney on top of it. For 4 people, we got 2 plates. We ordered spring onion dosa, kottu parantha, paneer butter masala, garlic naan, and butter roti. It was more than enough for 4 people. Spring Onion dosa was crisy and filled with all the veggies like capsicum, carrot, onion, cabbage. We asked for kottu parantha with paneer and it was blended well. Portion size was also good. Paneer butter masala was ok, lot of gravy and spices. Naan and roti were decent. Staff was generous. We got food in very short time. They messed up with our cheque though. We paid for 85 dollars and wondering after payment why the amount was so high. After few hours, restaurant manager called us to tell he messed up and we paid for other table. Our total was 56 dollars. We went there to pay again with corrected amount. Overall decent experience but keep an eye on your cheque and ask for receipt later on.

Comments for individual dishes: Vada pav - Not served with Mumbai pav but slider buns which is as unauthentic as can be. Sabudana vada - Crispy, tasted good, served with sweet yogurt. Pithla bhari - The worst I have ever had. Pithla was too runny, bhakri was downright stale/unedible. Pomfret fry - Fish skin was burnt, but taste was better than some of the other dishes. Puran poli - It was super thin, barely any puran filling and seemed to have been served after quick heating rather than fresh, the edges were unedible. Saoji chicken curry - Too much garam masala Triple Schezwan fried rice - This was the best dish among all those we ordered. It was served with manchurian gravy.
