First West Coast Molly Tea Location! Molly Tea in Sunnyvale is located in the spot that used to be a Happy Lemon. Parking: Free, but limited in the complex Service: Decent and friendly Molly Tea started in Shenzhen, China, in 2020 and is known for its jasmine tea and Chinese tea flavors. The Sunnyvale location opened in late 2024 as its first West Coast location, there was a crazy long line that I witnessed during opening week. Molly Tea recently got into some legal trouble with Louis Vuitton in China over its four-petal floral logo. LV won the case, and Molly Tea was ordered to pay about RMB 10.3 million. Molly Tea plans to appeal. Anyway, I actually really like the tea here. The jasmine flavor comes through nicely, and I like that the sweetness isn't overpowering. Definitely a nice milk tea spot in Sunnyvale!
I've tried Molly tea a few times now. I like their Champaca teas. Recently tried the grape series that they have going on as their seasonal menu drink. It tasted nice, but definitely had the artificial grape candy flavor, although mild. It is usually pretty packed and busy here and rare to find parking right in front of the store. They have nice ambience and good store, branding and merchandise. I think they could do a little better on their drinks though. It's definitely known more for and there's a hype around the merchandise, the drinks are good quality ingredients, but taste OK and a bit pricey as well.
The tea is really good, for the size it's kinda $$$ overhype and over priced is what mindset you need to come in with. I get it Bay Area real estate and prices. However, for 16oz at around $8 that is a sell. But it's busy and people are coming in and out. The parking lot is not great. The tea is but you got to love tea.
I actually liked their matcha here. I always say matcha taste like seaweed to me and there matcha didn't have that taste.
Had a lovely visit to Molly Tea! The new Thai Tea Series was creamy, refreshing, and beautifully presented--especially the Salted Cheese Thai Tea and Dual-Layer drink. The staff was friendly, the space was inviting, and the limited-edition stamp sticker and knitted bag promotion made the visit even more fun. A great stop for boba lovers in the Bay Area!
The best Molly Tea in the Bay Area. I know they are all Molly Tea, but having tried different locations, this one has consistently delivered perfect drinks each time. Of their drinks on the menu, white champaca, white champaca oolong, dancong, white champaca matcha are the top drinks I cycle through. Although they recommend 70%, I actually prefer 30% sweetness, less ice. Truly brings out the tea flavor. This location had a new drink Camellia during the LNY. However, I have not seen it on the menu since March. Hopefully they'll bring it back. They now have order online via their website (chowbus), and I recently learned that they have an app. This makes ordering drinks at this location easy since it is located in corner strip mall with minimal parking.
After I told a hg that I really enjoy floral tea, she highly recommended Molly Tea! --- D R I N K S --- My favorite combo is the White Champaca Milk tea with a Jasmine Whipped Cream With Pecan top and sago! It sounds like a lot, but it actually works really well together. The White Champaca tea is on the mellow side, the Jasmine whipped cream adds additional floral aroma and extra creaminess, the sago gives texture without overpowering the drink, and the little bits of pecan add a nice surprise crunch. My husband's favorite is the Peach Oolong. I've had my fair share of peach milk teas over the years where they can be too sweet and the peach flavor tastes straight up like chemicals, but this has to be the best peach-flavored tea I've had so far! It has a fruity taste that doesn't overpower the flavor of the tea leaves. When I first visited last year, they had a "Fresh Oat Milk Tea Series", but I'm sad to say that it's not on this location's menu anymore. _______________________________________________________ ---A M B I A N C E -- I'm diggin' the woodsy, warm, Asian-y aesthetic they got going on! Tea and merch are displayed on the walls, and pink is definitely their signature color, so expect to see pops of it here and there in the decor, cups, and to-go bags. This location has a decent amount of chairs and tables, but let me tell you, this place was hella busy back when it was the only Bay Area location. We learned the hard way that the parking lot gets packed. Sometimes you'll get stuck in the super small lot because someone isn't even in a spot -- they just have their car parked with the hazards on while they run in to pick up their drink. Other times, cars are waiting and signaling for a parking spot while other cars are on standby waiting for people to leave after grabbing their drinks. The gas station behind the shop clearly got tired of it too because they put up a bunch of signs saying they'll tow if you park there just to visit Molly Tea. I highly recommend parking down the street near the apartment sidewalks or across the street and taking a little stroll to the store instead. Honestly, it just showed me that no matter how tiny the lot was, people still made the effort to slide through for drank. Fair warning though -- definitely expect to wait and chill. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- I will say, the staff handles the busyness pretty well. Lines are usually at or out the door, and they're receiving online orders simultaneously. There's another boba shop in the Bay that has a similar layout and process as Molly Tea, but that other chain feels like workers on an assembly line with deadpan faces. I feel like the brightness and warmth of Molly Tea is emphasized even more because of the friendly staff and their willingness to help with your order even after it's received.
Molly Tea is a favorite amongst boba drinkers, and this location is no different. The parking lot is a tad small, and the orders come in and out even on weekday afternoons when one might expect a calmer time. Ordering is pretty straightforward on their self-service kiosks. On this particular visit, I had their White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with less ice and 30% sugar. Somehow, they always get it just right in terms of sweetness. The best part is the "three stack straw" which really brings out the taste of the tea. Drinks were being made and served to order minute by minute, and the overall wait time was ~ 15 minutes. While the seating here is comfortable and can be relaxing, make sure to plan ahead, as the sun can be quite the nuisance at the right angles!
Seems like I finally found a drink I like here! Fourth time's the charm, I guess. During my first visit, Halloween 2024, I tried the iced white champaca oolong milk tea, probably no sugar added. I didn't like the after taste, it was kind of weird. I can take bitter tea flavor but didn't care for this. I gave it another try a few months later and got the same drink. Same reaction. I went to the San Mateo location in Jan 2026 and tried the iced jasmine tea with matcha cheese top, no sugar added. It was better but I still wasn't impressed. They definitely have quality tea but I didn't get the hype around this brand. Fast forward to April 2026, a work friend needed sugar so I went along for the ride and to get a hot drink. I ordered the DanCong Oolong milk tea, hot with 30% sugar. SOO GOOD! I will go back for this. I do prefer oolong teas. I thought I would like white Champaca since it's oolong plus jasmine, but here we are. My friend's favorite is the iced DanCong and he got the snowy version with jasmine whipped cream and pecan topping, 70% sweet. Tasted great! Parking lot actually had spots but it was a Monday afternoon. Can't wait for the new Rivermark location to open in Santa Clara! I walked past there today and looks like they might open in another month or so.
Came by to try after lunch on Mother's Day, probably around 4PM. The place was SUPER busy when we went, but the service was still really fast and organized, we got our drinks within 10 minutes. The interior is modern and really cute, and they even have a dog check-in photo wall which was so so cute ! We got the snowy Jasmine with boba. Drinks themselves were light, fragrant, and refreshing. Even at 100% sweetness, they actually weren't too sweet, I would even argue getting 125% to match other boba places 100% sweetness. The boba had a really good flavor and sweetness to it that balanced everything out perfectly. Overall a great spot to grab a drink. Next time I want to try their Pistachio Matcha Coconut water so I will be coming back!
Ah the famous Molly Tea! Quite a few locations have popped up; I hope they open one in the Tri-Valley soon. They close at 10:00pm everyday which feels so late to me LOL. Yay for late night boba! There is quite a lot of people working behind the counter, but it seems like a well-oiled system. The music, the staff, the lighting, the figurines all remind me of playing Animal Crossing for some reason LOL. I love the sleek wood accents inside, and there are 2 screens to order from. There's another larger screen that displays all order #s that are in progress or ready. Parking is very limited; I was lucky to snag a spot since I came around 8:00pm, but I don't know the area well enough to know where else I would've parked if it was full?? I heard people have parked in the plaza across the street. There is no WiFi (that I know of) and my phone was running on slow LTE, might be just me. Premium Jasmine Milk Tea ($7.99): Well. This tasted like proper jasmine milk tea, I don't know how else to describe it. I bow down. Still good even as the ice melted! The cup is sealed beneath the to-go lid, so the extra safety is excellent for the car and preventing spillage. Next time I'll order online for a faster wait time and try more drinks to pop into the fridge :)
The store is reasonably big and has plenty of seats to chill and enjoy milk tea. It does get super busy, so it's better to order ahead of time and come for pickup. The parking lot is kinda small and fills up very quickly.
Good golly miss molly. Your teas are amazing, girl! I've heard about Molly Tea from my friends in SoCal who rave about this Chinese spot to hit the States. I was surprised to find out it's based in Shenzhen and not in Taiwan, but their teas speak for themselves. They pride themselves on their jasmine tea offerings and there is a lot to love. The moment you walk in, you are just hit with its aromatic scents which can make it hard to decide on your order. I went with one of their oat milk options (shout out to my non-dairy friends), the White Champaca Oat Milk Tea, with reduced ice and sugar. I was in love with this drink upon first sip. The floral tastes of the tea was so strong and really stood out compared to other boba shops. Additionally, they use crystal boba which provides a lighter experience rather than normal starchy tapioca (not that I have any issue with that because they are still my obsession). Overall, a must have tea experience. It's one of the best in the area and definitely adds to the competition within Cupertino. Note: the pink bags are only available through online orders. I didn't need one myself but if you really want one, make sure to order in advance.
No one can deny that this place is very aesthetically pleasing. Decor and packaging are extremely cute and put together... their display wall of products? Classy. Warning: Not the typical "boba" milk tea shop, strictly milk tea. With like one "smoothie" option. Pros: - Workers are helpful - Drinks are fresh - Prices? Ish. It's average. I expected it to be more expensive from how hyped this place was. Cons: - Parking is disgusting, had to park in a plaza across the intersection and walk over because the cafe's parking lot is extremely small. - Cafe lobby is small and line gets way too long for just milk tea - Flavor is too light, very milky read more

It's possibly the best milk tea in the Bay! The jasmine tea is so fragrant and has an amazing aftertaste. The cream and pecan topping is fresh and provides a nice contrast. There's no boba by default and I feel like it's perfect without, allows you to savor the taste. A lot of milk tea is mostly just sweet or fruity, but this drink is not too sweet and the tea is the star. The place was super crowded, with 18 orders in progress when we placed ours, but they have a ton of staff and finished quite fast; it actually took possible more time to squeeze through the crowds and get to our drink. Also so cool that they top off your drink when you pick it up. The store is pretty elegant, with traditional long tarps and teas on display. Even the menu is artsy with flowers displayed next to the corresponding drinks. Definitely coming back! read more

I really liked the Molly tea here. We didn't have to wait an insane amount of time for our drink even though there were so many people there. The only down part about this location is the parking is horrible and those tiny straws. Not my preference. read more
To be honest I'm extremely confused. Like very very confused. Like how did this place get 4.5 stars for their number one jasmine milk tea when the product doesn't even taste like tea? We all got their number one tea jasmine premium milk tea and it tasted like watered down milk. Super disappointing and I definitely would not drive from sf for this. The staff is helpful and the place is nice and well manicured but like literally the drinks don't taste like tea at all? Good hang out if you want to drink milk. Milk is fresh. read more
Got the Pistachio White Champaca Coco $7.99 It was so good! The standard sweetness of 70% sweet was just right. (I normally order 30-50% at other boba shops) My husband got his jasmine tea drink at 50% but then asked if they could up to 70% after trying it and finding it wasn't sweet enough. We thought they would just add more syrup or sweetness to it, but they made a brand new drink instead. Quality top notch! Tea flavor is super strong which I looooove. Now can they open one in east bay please so I can avoid driving 1hr+ each way just to drink Molly tea? :) read more
I thought my wife picked this place because it was a woman's place for tea. When I heard the name, I wondered, "Who is Molly?" She must like pink cute stuff. It wasn't until we were inside that I finally figured out that "Molly" was really Jasmine in Chinese. Parking. The lot is small. I found a spot quickly. As I was trying leave, I couldn't get out because of the 10 other cars in the parking lot all trying to get my space forcing my wife and I to sit in our car and enjoy our tea while waiting for everyone to get out of my way. I was almost tempted to get out of the car and walk to the taqueria next door to pick up a few tacos since I had a primo parking spot. Service. They have service? They are Asian, and replaced all their nice looking cashiers with nice looking kiosk. You choose it on the kiosk and pay for it yourself. Not their fault if you choose wrong. They do have people who call your number and give you your drinks when done. The drinks that my wife and I ordered were good. It was made with real tea. The Chinese in us picked the sugar level wisely with less sugar and less ice. We both liked it. My wife and I demanded a nice pink carrying bag from them. They graciously gave it to us. Molly was good. Why did I have to drive 400 miles to this one when we have one in Southern California? I'll be back to this one when on another business trip, and make work pay for my next drink at Molly. read more

So excited that this spot opened up and made the drive down. The Premium Jasmine tea is amazing! It has a strong floral tea flavor but be warned that oat milk alters the taste a lot... I would recommend just loading up on lactaid and going with regular milk for the best taste. High recommend and it's become my new favorite drink. The White Champaca is our other go-to (it has more of a vanilla, floral taste). We get either 50% or 75% (recommended). Service is pretty quick even when the line is long which is impressive! Unlike most boba spots, there are a few tables that you can relax at which is a nice change! Parking is terrible as there is only a tiny lot. The last three times I've gone, we've been lucky and found a spot though. read more
I've been to a million boba shops in my life. Molly tea offers some new floral milk teas that have never been offered in the states before. I normally hate floral teas as they taste medicinal to me but they somehow make the tea taste exactly how the flowers smell! I have only tried their gardenia milk tea and jasmine milk tea. Both had a deep flavor of gardenia/jasmine and tasted incredibly creamy without feeling heavy. Im only knocking a star off for the small cup sizes with no option to size up. Their drinks are also quite expensive for the amount compared to other stores. I would treat Molly tea as a special treat rather than a casual treat. read more
Pretty and clean interior. Tried their top seller the jasmine milk tea and you could really taste the quality of the jasmine tea but overall it was alright-- definitely not worth waiting over 25 minutes for. The line to order at the kiosk was pretty short but the overall wait time for the drinks was so long because they're also making online orders. Staff could use better customer service training as well. Parking lot is also pretty small, so cross your fingers that you're lucky with parking! read more

Immediately yes! Their premium jasmine milk tea is SO addicting, especially the snowy jasmine (jasmine milk tea w the whip cream and pecans). When i went it wasn't crazy busy so i didn't have to wait too long for the kiosk, since it is self service the wait to order differs. But since the drinks traffic is high, the wait for the drinks was quite long but it's well worth the wait. There is seating, but since it's generally busy it may be hard to find a seat. the ambiance is nice and fancy for milk tea shop. the davis dupe is not it. read more
Updated review: It is still booming here! Parking - would suggest finding parking elsewhere and walking over. Very small lot. They now have someone watching the lot. And I can definitely understand why Molly Tea has hired someone to watch! Today, I witness someone who decided to park their car in the middle of the lot (front of the store when there were others trying to get in and out) and went inside..... the parking watch man had to go into Molly Tea and asked her to move her car since people were stuck! So beware and be safe if you're courageous enough to go into the lot. Drinks - Personally, the past few times I've gone here, I have felt the quality degrade a little. I'm sure it's due to the fact that they're busy and are always crunching drinks out! Picking up online order - Madhouse! I hope they work on finding a way to create online pickup more seamlessly. read more

Finally got to try Molly Tea after hearing about it from friends. Everyone recommended the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, and it was amazing! I usually get my drinks with 50-75% sweet but my friend told me the drinks are on the lightly sweet side to begin with, so I went with 100% sweet and it was the right choice for me. I absolutely love floral teas and Molly Tea does an amazing job balancing the floral jasmine flavor with the right amount of milky creaminess. I also got the Snowy Jasmine and it's basically the same thing as the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea with the addition of "jasmine cream frappe" on top - which is like a jasmine flavored whipped cream. This drink came with a little spoon that can be used to mix the cream into the drink or just scoop out and eat whatever cream is remaining. The drinks come with a special straw that has three tiny holes. I believe its purpose is to slow down your drinking rate and help you savor/enjoy the drink more. I actually really liked this concept and felt like the straw made a difference in my appreciation of the drink. Despite how busy they are, with lines almost out the door and every single seat/table occupied, the staff work incredibly quickly and efficiently. It took us longer to find parking than it did for our drinks to be ready. There is also the option to order online in advance. The interior is very cute--very pink and aesthetic. As many others have mentioned, parking for this location is a nightmare. The parking lot is tiny and constantly congested. Many of the spots are reserved for other stores in the same plaza as Molly Tea. You can't park at nearby plazas either because they all have signs stating "No parking for Molly Tea." We ended up parking in a residential area and walking about 2 blocks. Plan to either get dropped off (and advise your driver to NOT enter the parking lot at all because they will probably get stuck and spend 10 minutes trying to get out), or just plan to park farther and walk. read more
If you're looking for high quality tea this is the place for you. The jasmine matcha is definitely a 10/10--the perfect balance of matcha and jasmine milk tea. Interior is modern and has many places to sit, however it is usually pretty busy. I do hope that one day they can add tea to the menu because I don't really enjoy milk tea as much. But worth the hype and trouble finding parking! read more
Molly Tea has to be one of my favorite milk tea spots ever. The interior is super warm and cute, and their drinks are always so creamy and refreshing. My favorite drinks are the snowy jasmine and the Pistachio Coconut Jasmine. I recommend ordering online if you want to pickup quickly or not wait in line. The only downside is the tiny parking lot--people usually end up walking over from nearby plazas, and during my last visit a cop was going around the parking lot not allowing people to wait in their cars without parking. read more

Honestly I thought I would taste really premium matcha, but maybe I couldn't taste it fully because I got the cheese foam. Maybe next time I come back I will try just a match latte by itself. The parking lot is very small and compact. The inside can be very loud with everyone ordering and the numbers being announced on the screen. I would recommend just doing grab and go if you come to this location. read more
We were in a mood for bubble tea this afternoon. After a quick yelp search this place popped up highly rated. The pink cups totally caught my eye.. and all the amazing reviews. So we headed over and yes parking is a bit tricky!!! There's a small parking lot and it's a miracle if you get a spot. I see many people waiting in their cars like hawks to grab an opening. Somehow the stars aligned and we got a spot. You walk in, there's a kiosk and you order. As someone who LOVES jasmine milk tea this is the IT place to go. The whole time I was waiting for my order I was thinking, is it really worth the wait and hype???? After taking one sip, I can attest yes it is. It is amazing, delicious, unique, floral, all wrapped up in a pretty pink bow. So if you are craving bubble tea or on a hunt for an bubble tea place, this is the place to go. read more
Finally tried the infamous Molly tea. When it first opened it was always packed. No parking, people would park across the street and lines out the door. For once it was chill, parking available and we got in and out less than 15mins. I'm not a huge fan of floral teas, so a lot didn't appeal to me or my partner. But we wanted to try it anyways. I got the pistachio white chapaca with coconut water. I love the bits of pistachio from the cream too, the drink wasn't too floral, the coconut was refreshing. My partner got the matcha white champaca, the matcha is good but not strong, and not too floral. We both gave our drinks a solid 7.5. If you're a floral tea fan, I believe this would be a better place for you and drinks you'll enjoy! read more

This is my favorite milk tea place. I really like the tea, its very floral and premium. Chris was really helpful and super nice! My favorite drink is the Matcha Jasmine Milk Tea ($6.99). Its always my go-to and i recommend it! Parking lot is small, I would suggest parking in the Chase plaza and then walking over read more
First time trying Molly Tea. Parking lot is small and it was very busy inside. It is definitely worth it. The drinks are very refreshing, not too sweet, it was just right. You taste more tea and other sugary flavors. The cups and straws that make the drink is very good quality. They also give you a nice pink bag to carry all your drinks, which is a good touch. Service was good. They have a separate pick up line and it was easy to go and get my order. Inside was busy when I went, so I didn't get a good luck inside the place. I ordered the White Champaca Milk Tea and it was delicious. Overall I give this tea shop a solid 4/5 star review. Will definitely be back. Quick tip, order ahead, and bring a friend so your friend can pick up the drinks while you stay in the car. The parking lot is super tiny. read more
Molly Tea needs little introduction - just be warned of the ridiculously long lines and ridiculously small parking lot that go until closing. They do shut the line down at exactly 10 PM from inside the store and kick everyone out at 10:15. The interior is very boutique and features tea-making items on the walls, with ample seating at both small and long tables. Their jasmine milk tea ranks in the top 3 I've tried for its deliciously floral profile and perfect proportion of milk. I got their premium jasmine matcha at 70% sweet (~$7) and, for no reason in particular, got the matcha cheese on the side. It came out in around 15 minutes with their signature straw and a little spoon for the cheese. The straw is like three coffee stirrers glued together and is a great way to ensure you don't inhale your drink in 10 minutes like I usually do. I was surprised by how good the matcha cheese foam was - super creamy (juuust drinkable with a straw, but I ate it with a spoon anyways :P) and tasted strongly of solid matcha. Worth the wait and will probably return. read more

Molly Tea is nice, trendy tea shop with fragrant tea options! The shop is really busy, and the parking is honestly really limited. We waited about 30 mins for our 2 drinks. We ordered the Snowy Jasmine & Premium Jasmine Matcha. Both offered a yummy fragrant jasmine milk tea. The snow jasmine has a whipped cream cap topped with pecans while the premium jasmine matcha was topped with a matcha foam. Both were delicious drinks, but I feel I have had better jasmine milk teas. Considering the wait of 30 mins, I'm not sure if I would be willing to wait that long again for 2 drinks. No fault to the staff though! It was obviously very hectic, and they had all hands on deck (they had lots of staff working as well). read more
Tried their Premium Jasmine Matcha Milk Tea 抹茶针王 ($7.99) & Gardenia Oolong Milk Tea 栀子金萱 ($7.79) ~ got both with less ice & 0% sugar / sweetness level. First impression was that both my drinks tasted more on the milky-watery side, with both the tea & floral notes slightly noticeable but pretty light. Even the sample I tried of their Osmanthus Milk Tea tasted light. I did feel the drinks had a more fragrant scent versus taste, as the creamy milk overpowered the taste. On the other hand, glad the floral taste wasn't artificial tasting. I appreciate their unique offerings, and may be back to try more drinks, or maybe some merch. Parking lot is small, but there are people coming & going. I ordered online for pickup via DoorDash - was ready fairly quickly in 7 min on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm. Store looked pretty busy with people outside trying their samples, people inside lining up to order, counter for online orders full of bagged drinks (in their signature pink bags) ready for pickup, and many sitting-in to enjoy their drinks. read more
SOOO GOOOD. this is my new favorite tea spot. note: this is NOT BOBA. They have limited topping options. It's more for the authentic tea flavor. They have unique straws which I think they use in China. It's like 3 coffee stirrers glued together. I got the snowy jasmine and it was amazing. Perfect floral notes. The whipped cream was delicious and the nuts on top were a perfect match. Would recommend. read more
Still a regular all these months later. My new favorite is the Sbowy Jasmine as the whipped cream is to die for. Loved the pecans too. The mango jasmine is also really good and so is the pistachio coco. We love a menu where everything is literally so good. Follow the Instagram account for giveaways, and get the bags if you can! They are so cute and provide a lot of insulation. read more
Get to finally try this place. I recommend ordering online as parking is a pain in the butt. We got lucky to get one, but the lot is so congested and small that it's not worth parking there worrying about getting hit. It's so cute inside, though. My friends say the milk teas are fragrant, which i agree but it tastes like actual tea. I loved the premium jasmine oat milk and my boyfriend's osmanthus. I would definitely come back. The hype is real. read more
