In addition to make-up, soaps, and other beauty items, they also offer spa services, pedicures, etc. They also sell a few crafty handbags, scarves, and jewelry also made by the shop's owner, I believe. The staff is always extremely nice, very informative, not pushy, and don't "hover" while you browse. I have received a few gifts from this store. Lovely stuff. This is the best shop ever, hands down. My boyfriend and I love coming here and just browsing all they creative stuff they sell. I don't understand why there are other reviews saying the staff isn't friendly or talkative, they make sure to say hello and ask about our needs as soon as we step into the store and we have been going there for years now. I have gotten all of my girlfriends into this place and now they go there all the time as well. I booked a pedi a week in advance; I was feeling saucy that day and decided to go outside my usual Juko comfort zone and try someplace new. Day of, I arrived on time but my pedicurist was running 15 min late. I was a tad annoyed but whatev. She ended up taking a lot longer than that. So why five stars instead of two? The staff more than made up for the inconvenience, and my next mani/pedi is complimentary. I definitely got the impression that my experience with a late service was not at all normal for Mojo. I mean, sh*t happens, and a business can't bat 100 all the time. Letting your customer know that YOU know their time is valuable is a classy way to make up for it. I first heard of Mojo from some of my teachers (Pivot Point). So many compliments and raving reviews made me curious? I'm probably the most skeptical person on this planet! With that said, I decided to try some of the products for my mom who has some serious health issues that have caused her extremly dry skin. For her poor cracked feet I used "Save your Soles" it was amazing! She had not felt her feet this smooth and soft in years! I got her the "Mint Mellow Scrub" which made her skin smoooth and moisturized(Plus it smells fantastic), the "iluminata" helped her with her dry skin and cirrhosis spots. And " Dr. Feelgood" instantly alleviated her arthritis pain. It's truely amazing how Amanda makes these from scratch using the best ingredients. Almost unbelievable how well these products WORK! I loved Mojo so much I joined their team. I'm the newest addition to the nail techs. I just love my job, everyone I meet has a speciel something I can't describe. First of all....whats better than getting a manicure and then buying the supplies they used on you after...I think that's pretty sweet. The people here are ridiculously nice. I mean...what are they on and can I have some? My manicure was great! By far the best massage ever with a mani! Loved the music they played (hello vintage 98 degrees...fo realz). When you're done with your service, you can puruse their handmade creams, lotions, lip gloss...etc. All great smelling and resonably priced. I loved almost everything about this place! The staff is superb (very friendly and kind), the in-house products are amazing, and their Breakfast & Brunch is fantastic (seriously - chocolate chip pancakes w/ strawberries, yumm)! My one complaint would be that my mani (and my friend's) only lasted four days before I had some major chipping occur. Kind of disappointing because of the price we paid but I would still recommend this place to people. I was in the area with my sisters and friends so I figured I'd stop in since I can't ever get enough of their soy candles. They had a super cute flower display in the window and inside the store. And it just so happened they had a bridal party in there that day, so there were a lot of things going on. While I was walking around and talking to the friendly sales girl, my sister was approached by Amanda (the owner and brain behind all these amazing, natural products). Amanda sat my sister down to show her how to put on eyeshadow. I decided to walk over because I had never seen Amanda in the store before and was pretty excited to finally get to meet her. She was the SWEETEST woman ever! After she finished doing the eyeshadow on my sister, I asked her about what products to use for contouring. She ended up giving us a lesson on contouring, then did my eyeshadow too, and lips for both my sister and I. All in all, she spent at least an hour on the two of us. She was so willing to tell us how to use the products and explain why her natural products are better for your skin. And she was having just as much fun as we were to do our makeup. I love Mojo Spa! I've been getting my mani/pedis here for a while now and I am never dissappointed! Everyone is very nice and George always remembers you, which I think is nice because it makes you feel very welcome. Not like some other places that rush you in and out. The nail techs here take there time and do a great job! Not only do I get an amazing service but they are always trying to feed me! Which is a good thing because I love to eat! Last time I was there, Amanda offered me and my sister cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven...HOMEMADE!! Sooo yummy. BTW all of the products used here are homemade by Amanda. I especially love the soy candles..while they burn you can use the melted wax as a hand lotion!! Genius! I will definitely continue to come here for a long time. I cannot say enough good things about Mojo Spa. Whenever I'm in Chicago, I always make a point to stop by Mojo Spa. I really love the mineral eye shadow and finishing powder. The Doll Face moisturizer is great for winter chapped cheeks. I really appreciate that the products are handmade and gentle on sensitive skin such as mine. I just purchased the Illumunata herbal make up and tried it this morning. It smells amazing and it really does hide redness well when working in conjunction with the finishing powder. My sister also loves the eye shadow. She was in my bathroom and went through my make-up (as sisters do) and had to know where I got my eye shadow. What I really appreciate most about Mojo Spa is the staff. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I was offered coffee, tea, or cocktail. A girl gave me some great advice about mixing colors. They are very willing to help you apply products to try. I was really impressed when the gentleman who helped me had remembered me when I stopped in several months ago. He even commented that my hair is shorter. Mojo Spa is often hopping with customers and he probably sees hundreds of people a day, but he remembered me and conversations from the last time I was there. It's really great to know that this business works hard to build personal relationships with their customers. I haven't used the spa services, but I am hoping to plan a spa day with my sisters sometime in the near future. I don't really like nail salons (mainly because of the strong chemical odor) and would rather do my own pedicure at home. Hands down the BEST nail spa in the city. Products are absolutely amazing (you won't find this stuff anywhere else). She also actually asked me about what I wanted done or not done with my nails every step of the way, instead of just manhandling me like some other places. The guy who was at the front desk was very attentive and offered me sweets to nibble on and coffee or tea. Also my manicurist told me that they have a 7-day guarantee for their nails, and that if they get chipped I can come in for a touch up free of charge! All of that for only $18?? I'm in love with this magical, adorable place and just want to give all my money to smell like lavender forever & ever. My friend took me here while visiting Chicago this past weekend. She knew I would just love something like this. Everything inside is designed in the girlish sugar plum fairy way. Even the most jaded women will walk and turn into a little girl. The soap bars & other products are designed and displayed as delicious deserts. Quite confusing!! Do I eat them or bathe with them? In addition, whoever is in charge of staff is a hiring/managing genius because the ladies on the floor are so knowledgeable & helpful. They are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. As the jaded New Yorker or city girl, you may think they are just trying to make a sell but after using their lotions and lavender soap each morning, they can take my money. Seriously staffing can make or break you! I purchased a lavender/cocoa scented candle in a martini glass that also turns into lotion as it melts. You have to see it to believe it! I also purchased a lavender soap bar, cupcake lavender soap and a coco mint cream bath bar. Unfortunately we could not get an appt in that weekend for any spa treatments so I cannot comment on the mani/pedi etc provided here. This place is very cute and the staff is very friendly. They accepted me pretty quickly as a walk-in for a pedicure. The chair was comfortable, but I was a little sad they didn't have the massage chairs. They make all of their own scrubs, and used a seasonal strawberry for my pedicure. It smelled fantastic. My pedicure looked fantastic, however they didn't have me sit under a dryer of any sorts. I left right after my pedicure and drove home, and by the time I got home, my right big toe polish was scraped. I managed to slightly fix the still wet polish, but it still looked odd. read more

I normally hit the smaller nail salons for a quick and cheap mani-pedi, but when I really want to be pampered, I come here. It's a little more expensive, but well worth it. The creams and scrubs are made with all natural ingredients, and the techs take their time to ensure you're comfortable. They don't have the crazy vibrating spa chairs, but they do give a thorough massage with your pedi that makes up for it. The last time I was in, I tried out some makeup. The standout for me was the lip stain. It wouldn't be the best to apply out in public since you have to use a Q-tip to avoid staining your hands, but if you put it on before you leave the house it leaves a great just-bitten color. I also really liked the Beach Bum hair product; it's great for summer styles. Anyway, if you're in the neighborhood, stop in. Mojo Spa will take care of you. read more

Oh Mojo Spa... I have such mixed emotions for you. Pros: + Really cute decor and clean space + Sweet staff who takes their time + Nice hand massages w/manicures! Cons: - My nails broke so much after I started getting manicures here. The manicurists don't file my nails in one direction. I stopped going and started filing/painting my own nails and they stopped breaking. - My nail chipped on the train back home after one of my manicures. - The manicurist didn't give me an OK to go after putting me under the dryer. I've been to other places that also forget about you after putting you under the dryer, but I like having a confirmation that my nails are done! I sat there for forever before I finally left. The last two cons aren't bad enough to keep me away from this cute spa, but I don't think I'll go back for fear my nails will start breaking again (partly because it's so far away. I'm in Hyde Park. Very cute and cozy place. I would have gave it 3 stars but with all the complimentary things the owner gave us, I am giving it a 4. My friend and I went in to get a leg and feet massage. We went pretty late but the owner still let us get our spa treatment. It was supposed to last for an hour but it was more like 20 minutes for each person. We soaked our feet in warm water while she lit a candle that heated up the oil. She then poured the oil onto my legs and massaged them. It felt good but it needed to last longer! My friend was pretty pissed off in the beginning of the spa treatment because she thought my friend was pregnant (which she is not). My friend was very offended and the lady did not even apologize. Not sure if it was because of that statement or because the staff is otherwise, super friendly, we got a lot of complimentary things. We had a slice of cake, vodka and nails done for free. The owner and the spa lady made sure that we were comfortable and having a good time. I messed up my nails and the owner said that he could have the lady re-do them...but I didn't want to make her do them again since a) it was already beyond closing time b) it was free and c) it was my fault. All in all, it was a good experience. My feet were smooth after the treatment and we got a lot of free things. It was $35 plus tip. I got a gift certificate from my coworkers here for my wedding shower for a signature mani-pedi so I decided to check it out. 2 words: Totes Adorbs. This place is so cute and everyone who works there is very friendly. The owner George is great, and my nail technician Delia was sweet as can be. They have a great color selection, offer you drinks, and play awesome music. Its not a "soothing spa" type atmosphere, but more of a place to pump you up for a fun night out. They also have a private party area, which was filling up with a bachelorette and her entourage as I was leaving. It looked super fun and definitely something I would plan in the future with my friends. The reason for 4 stars? Its a bit more expensive than other nail salons in the area and its not really walk-in friendly. That said, I already booked another appointment there, and I can't wait to go back! PS - They really take customer service seriously. I was well-taken care of during my appointment, and they also called the next day to follow-up on my experience and solicit feedback about what they could do better. My sister and I came in for manicures, and we both had such a great experience. The space is so beautifully decorated and relaxing. There were SO many great OPI and Essie colors to choose from! The girls took their time on our manicures, even though they were just the basic ones. The manicurists were super friendly and gave nice hand & forearm massages and applied lotion & toning spray. My only heads up to management would be to avoid using the little fans at the stations. A few pieces of dust ended up in my polish, but you could barely see them, so I didn't even mention it. The air dryer station worked great, though. I'd definitely recommend just using those! My polish lasted ages, and it wasn't even a "no-chip" service. They take the time to care about me as a person and not just about what I'm going to buy or whatever. George, the owner, is the sweetest, funniest, wittiest man I've met. I love talking to him, he makes me feel at home, he makes me feel special and interesting. He's the best. And he's like that to every single person that walks in the store. He takes a genuine interest in who you are and makes suggestions that fit your needs, not just whatever costs the most money. ALSO YOU GET FREE COCKTAILS WHILE YOU SHOP/GET YOUR NAILS & MAKEUP DONE. HELLO? Anyways, the nail techs are always top notch. My nails look great. I get compliments on my nails all of the time. And if you chip a nail, you can come back within 2 weeks of getting your nails done for a free fix. I practically take advantage of this because I am not careful with my nails. I use multiple makeup and skin care products from Mojo and they WERQ. This winter destroyed my hands. The skin was discolored and soooooooo dry. The makeup artists suggested the Midas Touch skin cream and my hands are LEGIT now. So smooth, moisturized and the color is back to normal. AMAZING! I own 2-3 of their lipsticks and lip glosses. They all last for hours, look great, keep my lips moisturized, and repair the skin (I bite my lower lip a lot). MIRACULOUS! Also I can pretty much walk in every Friday evening and get my makeup done before going out with friends or on a date. What a hook up! Because Lawd knows I am terrible with putting on eye shadow and blush and all of that. I always look like a clown. God bless Mojo Spa. It's the best place on Earth. Mojo Spa is a really nicely decorated place and seems very bright and inviting, from the outside. However, inside the sales people are a bit over the top and aggressive. Upon entering today i was a greeted by a sales lady who asked me if I needed help, I told her I was just browsing and kept it moving. Soon after a second lady asked the same, and I told her I didn't need help and she seemed to have kept her distance. That was until a friend and I were discussing products and she demanded to know what my skin type was in a very aggressive manner. I left quickly without buying anything. Ummm we got the royal treatment. Best pedicure experience ever!! My roommate and I came in on Saturday and loved everything about Mojo from the moment we walked in. Everyone was so attentive and cared about the outcome and the way we felt way more than your average salon experience. I love my nail color, "A Grape Fit" by OPI. Nikki did my pedicure I think, and Chelsea did our makeup. George, as most say, is so personable and really knows what he's doing. I noticed him say things like "Grab a muffin (or maybe it was cupcake?) and take 5" to his staff, which I loved. We spent so much extra time just gabbing with him, it was great! We loved how they care to get to know the customers. Also, the cocktails were delicious! What a nice touch. I loved how clean the place was; it's a really nice space with colorful, girly decor. We loved all of the different soaps (which look like cupcakes!) We experimented with getting our makeup done too which was fun and free! Went there yesterday with a friend. First off, the store smells super nice. And secondly, the staffs are super helpful and friendly. They recommend products they personally love to me and was happy to let me try the testers on as many things as I found interesting. I ended up only buying one face mask because I spent way too much on thrift shopping around this store already, but I'm definitely going back. The face mask was so soft and affordable. I also see results right after I used it, which it successfully made my skin mega soft and smooth. I have yet to try their manicure and other services, but they carry cute accessories as well and it's definitely the place to go for gifts. PS. Nothing but kindness and professionalism at Mojo! I've gone to Jessica twice now for a no-chip and removal and had a great experience. She's super meticulous but also efficient, as well as easy to talk to. And the best part? My no-chip lasted me THREE WEEKS without a single chip. Walked in and looked around, was thinking of buying something, and a guy who introduced himself as the owner immediately began the worst sales-ing I've ever seen. He was sleazy, said "everyone likes our products," started bragging about which stores have picked up their stuff, and sounded like Trump lol. I asked if I could try one of the products, and he immediately started talking about how no one has asked that, as if I did something wrong.
