I've been coming here for a few years and this location is very clean, respectful of time and privacy. The front desk staff is very helpful and I've only seen Niki as far as estheticians. She is helpful, professional, friendly, prompt and patient. She thoroughly explains what to expect during your appointment and also gives pre and post care advice. They offer lots of discounted packages, take advantage of those if you can! Parking can be tricky and I recommend coming on Sunday AMs since it's free to park Sundays and its the least crowded when they first open. read more

This place is very corporate, staff seems to be taught to upsell a lot! My experience was not very relaxing, I only wanted a facial but they wanted me to spend a lot more money than that. They had me go through a scanning of my facial skin, and as an older person my scan looked unhealthy. The young esthetician said - she thought the scan would be Fun. This tact-- made me feel upset and manipulated that they would be so sneaky about pushing other expensive services. I was excited to get a facial, so I could relax and enjoy being pampered but that didn't happen. My facial was okay, but unfortunately the attempts at upselling and manipulating me, left me less than satisfied. read more

The staff is trained and there is almost always some sort of deal or package offer on services and products. If you're considering using them, I recommend checking out their website for the current month's promotions to see if you can save some money. For services, they offer everything from laser hair removal (yes, please!) to fillers to laser treatments and chemical peels. I have experienced a couple times that those working at the front desk who do scheduling and check-in and outs that there has been a little confusion. Nothing crazy or deal breaker but one of the times I was trying to schedule 2 services together and the person didn't know if they could be done together so wouldn't schedule until they double checked with the technician. So a little inconvenient but it's nice they care enough to check. Depends how you view it- but full transparency for you to consider. read more

I have been a loyal customer to Spaderma for years and have referred a ton of friends here who are also now loyal customers. The aestheticians here are all wonderful and this review is not a reflection of them. This week I was exposed to Covid (someone who had stayed in my small condo several days). I was hoping to avoid being infected and was hopeful I'd be good to attend my appointment for a chemical peel later in the week. The day of my appointment, I woke up with Covid symptoms and began to worry about exposing my aesthetician since I could not wear a mask during treatment. I did not have a test on hand but wanted to play it safe. I decided to call Spaderma and explain my situation and the receptionist said not to worry and these things happen and to call back in 5 days or when I feel better to reschedule. No mention of any type of cancellation fee. Today I see a charge on my card, which I assume is a mistake, so I emailed Spaderma to let them know. Their response is that it is not a mistake and because I had cancelled once a year ago for Covid the fee could not be waived again. I do not understand this policy as 1) you can get Covid more than once and 2) why would you risk the health of your employees and customers and 3) this was NOT mentioned to me when I called to discuss my situation. I wanted to still attend my appointment as planned (even though I was sick) and the only reason I even called to discuss cancelling was over concern for their staff. It seems they would have preferred I still come in with symptoms (although this was never mentioned on the phone). Very disappointed in how this was handled and that the safety of their own staff is not a concern. I am sad to say I will not be returning after I use up the rest of my packages here as I am questioning the ethics of this business. They will be losing thousands of dollars from me over a $50 fee. read more

Nico was AMAAAAAAZING. This was the absolute best experience I have ever had to date. I live in NYC but was in the area for work so I thought why not - I have a few friends who get their Botox from Nico and rave about him and I saw the great reviews on SpaDerma YELP and decided to stop in and have my first ever botox experience but I also got my lip fillers done again with Nico. With a few years in a high stress sales environment it was time DEFINITELY time for Botox. To say that am going to fly back in a few months for my next session of Botox with Niko may sound dramatic but it's true. The Spa: Absolutely GORGEOUS. At home I go to one of the "top injectors in NYC" for my lips but SpaDerma honestly has spoiled me and this place blows other medspas out of the water. When you first walk in you're greeted with extremely friendly faces, super welcoming and definitely help to calm those pre procedure nerves. Not only was it so so so so clean, the colors and overall aesthetic was PERFECT. I am an extremely observational person but i couldn't find one thing out of place. It had that crisp upkeep hospital level clean but not that gross freak you out you're in a hospital feel. You sit down and you fill out all your paperwork on a iPad (a really nice touch btw instead of paper) and then relax in the seating area. The procedures: 1.Lips 2.botox 1. I keep getting compliments on my pout. This is the 3rd time I have gotten my lips injected and it by far is the absolute best. This isn't just me saying it i have heard it multiple times from different people. Nico was welcoming, relaxed my nerves and really sat down and listened to the look I was going for. I work in a corporate setting so I did want a noticeable little pout but I wanted to look natural and that is exactly what was achieved. I did one full session of Juvederm Ultra and I am so happy with my results. If anyone tells you lips do not hurt - they're lying to you - i have the pain tolerance of a beast lol - but Nico went above and beyond to make me comfortable, relaxed and even gave me an ice pack to rest in my neck. I am over the moon with my results. 2.Botox - listen, I never had it done before BUT this is a walk in the park. Pain? Zero. Results? Incredible. Nico was extremely informative, quick and precise. I'm writing my review after 4 visits now to be sure I could speak to the services more accurately. I originally purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal (3 sessions on a large area). After my 2nd visit, my esthetician told me about a promotion they had for a partial body treatment that seemed to be a great deal. By the time I made it to my car and looked at the deal online, I decided to go for the full-body treatment, as I've always wanted the service and I felt the price was more reasonable than paying slightly less for the partial. It works! During my first treatment, she was careful to test parts of my leg before continuing the treatment, to ensure I wouldn't have an adverse reaction. She also stepped out to check with her supervisor about going over my birth mark, which is lighter than the rest of my leg, and she opted to wait until the 2nd treatment to determine how the rest of my skin responded first. I appreciate the caution they took, though everything worked out fine. The first treatment was 100% pain-free. The rest had a slight sting that's not unbearable but not as painless as the first treatment had me feeling they would be. I saw a difference after the first treatment. My hair grew back much finer and slower, and in patches, as some hair didn't grow back after the very first treatment. I'm glad I found them on Groupon and highly recommend this service from Spaderma! read more

This location is located inside and upstairs of a salon. The reception desk staff are pleasant. They do all their forms via iPad, which can be frustrating. It just doesn't work that well and even though there's places for it, you can't actually edit some key areas. So just be sure whoever you are seeing knows your full history. The waiting area is pleasant. Nice decor, comfy, and all that. I come here for injections. Suzie is the best! She does a great job of explaining everything. She takes the time to go through all the risks and pros and cons. She takes a subtle approach. She's really friendly and patient. BUYER BEWARE!!! I utilized Spa Derma for my facials, botox and other medical spa treatments for more than two years. When I was approached to use a product called Sculpta, like many patients, I not only asked about the result and the side effects, but I also inquired about the pricing. I was told by my esthetician that the service all in would be $2500 and take three sessions. I paid in full for the services in December 2023 and booked my three appointments to occur within the time frame that the esthetician stated would be a good time frame for me to receive the treatment. The price, results quoted and the time frame, including side effects seemed reasonable. When I went in November 2024 to receive the third and final treatment, I was told I had to pay an addition $2,009.00 more. When I inquired why the esthetician, who also sold me the product/treatment said, you paid for four vials and your treatment is not complete, that is why you don't see viable results. I reminded her that I did not buy "vials" per se, I bought a treatment package that was included to be three visits and a complete package. Given that my esthetician moved from the Lincoln Park location to the Wicker Park location and the front people had no idea who I was prior to that day, I respectfully asked to speak to a manager, who in turn was Michael Madonia. Michael later called me that day and began belittling me, yelling at me and accusing me of trying to take services for free. It was outrageous. I have literally spend five figures in that spa on a yearly basis. I was inquiring about the issue that they told me the entire price and then turned around and tried to charge me $2,009 more than what I negotiated for. I'm an attorney so I have a great memory of contracts and deals. When Michael Madonia couldn't get me to pay the additional fees nor would he refund me anything on the Sculpta, he offered me $250 credit for services already paid for that were in the pike. The $250 did not even constitute the amount they should have refunded for prepaid services. I have never in my life been treated so rudely by anyone in any business. Michael Madonia went so far as to accuse me of being rude to his staff. Given there are videos in the spa I challenged him to show me the video which he didn't have because it did not occur! I've been nothing but pleasant and usually very quiet when I am there as I have to talk for a living. My weekends are my down time and always when I visited. Be AWARE to ask for exactly the amount of vials they use, they charge you for and what the total process is. They will cheat you as they cheated me as you have no idea of the amount of product they use and it makes me question the large amount of money I have spent there in the past. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. THEIR ADS ARE THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND CHEAT YOU. BUYER BEWARE. With hundreds of med spas in Chicago take your business elsewhere!!!
